Server_mgr.ftp error! How to restore default setup?

OK Newbie Problem. I had problems getting the Apple Server builtin Ftp server/Service to stop (and not restart every time on boot) so I could use PureFTPd. After reading some commentary on similar problems by other users (bad idea) on the FTPServer/Configuration folder items....I then dragged the /Library/FTPServer folder to the Server's desktop.
I was expecting this to cause FTP server not to start. Yes, FTP didn't start, but began barking and flagged as Red Triangle in Server Admin...and began affecting other applications and services.
Restarts did not resolve the issue. Many many errors continue issue that servermgr_ftp server side plugin failed!! The the Link to XXXServer.Local by admin GUI fails altogether.
So I dragged the FTPServer Folder back to its original location and repaired all permissions...no go.
I then restored the directory from a Backup. Same results..no go.... red Triangle over FTP server service. I know I should NOT have moved the Library Folder....Can I restore the Rights or Ownership that is certainly broken?
After fixing this, how can I stop Apple's FTP server from launching?

Well I treid each of you excellent suggestions. But the FTP server contnues to actup.
I notice that in the GUI Filemanager, that the /system/library/FTPServer directory shows up with a Red Circle with dash in the middle as part of the Folder icon. Is this indicative or a rights issue. I am logged in as the Administrator when this occurs.

How to restore default BIOS settings on Toshiba 1410 / 1415 / 2410 laptops? Option to CHGBIOSA?

I have problems booting to any operating system but DOS on Toshiba Satellite 1410 (in very good physical condition) after few years of inactivity (drained down main battery and CMOS battery - now they're charged)
Windows stops with BSOD (error 0x0000008e), Linux stops with kernel panic, bad_area_nosemaphore and IRQ error.
Plain MS-DOS 7.10 seems to run OK.
BIOS was 1.40 with main password set. After first boot it displayed request for entering password and pressing F1 key to set the hardware clock. Now it doesn't display this message anymore.
Two memory modules (Nanya - 256 MB, 266 MHz, CL 2,5) are OK - checked on different versions of MemTest86+
(Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool hangs when starting!)
I dismantled laptop and cleaned very small amount of dust inside with compressed air. Changed thermal paste on the processor (Celeron M 1,8) and bridge. Turned laptop on with extension cards, battery and disk and without them also.
It didn't help.
I flashed the CMOS with BIOS 1.20, 1.30 and 1.40 back again. None of the versions didn't let booting neither Windows nor Linux.
MS-DOS, PC-DOS, FreeDOS still run OK.
What's more interesting - after flashing procedure all BIOS settings were intact (booting priority, battery saving mode, etc.). And yes - I removed the password before flashing!
I was suspicious about problems occuring when laptop was entering 32-bit mode and checked it with Video Memory Stress Test.
When CMOS was flashed with 1.20 BIOS above test was running flawlessly. However, with 1.30 and 1.40 version it stopped >>Unhandled Exceptopn "Access Denied"<< in 8th iteration when lucky. Most of the time it stopped after 2nd or 3rd iteration after framebuffer subtest.
So my question are:
- did CMOS lost its settings or somehow they were corrupted after long period of laptop's inactivity?
- is Video extension of this BIOS flashable?
- why the settings are NOT restored to defaults after each CMOS flashing?
- or maybe there is some hidden switch/option to CHGBIOSA flasher to reset non-flashable CMOS area?
- or is my built-in Video Card (nVidia NV17M) or IRQ enumerator dead?

Hi Jerry! I think I'm on board now, anyway I hope so. I removed both devices and switched them around. The device manager shows two USB devices. One is Mass Storage and one is Composite. I don't realy know which one is the 1TB and which one is the 16 GB. In my boot menu, it just says USB now?? My laptop only has three USB ports. Two on the right and One on the left. I have a wireless mouse plugged in one of the ports on the right as you can see in device manager. I hope this is what you were asking. I can be a little thick headed at times, so let me know what else you want me to try Thank you for your kind reply. It really means a lot to me.

How do restore default settings in FCPX Compressor?

How do I restore FCPX Compressor default settings. I lost them when adding a few custom settings.

First, the B for Bold, I for Italics, etc, that you see above, often do not work, so you'll probably just see plus marks around some of the words below. Please play like these words are italicized since in reality these functions don't work consistently.
I said.... +“she can't get a menu to come up for her Dock icons.”+ To spell that out.... when she chooses an Icon on the Dock, say for example, Address Book, then taps the touchpad with two fingers, no menu comes up, meaning the menu that gives you options, such as ‘quit’. I can't find what controls that function (the function that brings up that menu).
I said she.... +“got excited about changing all the settings.... now it's all we can do to see the pages on her screen....”+ That means she went into System Preferences and changed color/screen/display/etc and all kinds of other settings that makes anything on-screen hard to see.
I’d rather not have to try to find all the settings she changed and then change them back to the original settings. I thought there was a +restore to original settings+ on the computer. If there’s not, so be it. Spotlight couldn’t find one.

How to restore default boot up of MacbookPro

I've recently dual-booted Mac with Ubuntu and now when I reload the router it boots up with Ubuntu's grub loader where i see an entry for Mac for both 32-bit and 64-bit. Both options,however, don't work. I have to press option key on bootup to select the HDD containing Mac OS to boot into it. I want to know if there's a way of restoring the default boot loader for Mac OS which currently is being replaced by that of Ubuntu's?

Using PS CS2 - i want to restore the default settings. Every time i lauch the program, modified stuff remains that pisses me off - even if i uninstall PS CS2 and delete my preferences + clean the pc with ccleaner and reboot Windows, after a fresh install of PS CS2 again i still see the same old preferences, and that is really anoying...

When you launch PS, immediately hold down Alt+Shift+Ctrl, and I mean IMMEDIATELY. Keep holding them down, until you get the dialog, asking if you wish to Reset Preferences. That is what you want to do. You have to be quick, and then patient.

Have an ADF table with some sortable columns, populated by an SQL view (having its own Order By).
Looking for a way to let user revert to default sort order after sorting columns.
Currently, I have a button linked to:

Iterator doesn't have a setOrderByClause() -- closest I see is applySortCriteria(), which takes an array of SortCriterias, not a String. Might be able to parse Order By string to create array of SortCriterias, but this smells wrong. Probably wouldn't work anyway because ...
Tried doing iter.applySortCriteria(null) before executeQuery. This accomplished nothing -- the sort created from clicking the column header persisted.
Looks to me like the sort is persisting as some property in the table or in the display column.
Any more ideas?

If this will not work on your phone, I suggest having the phone look upon by one of our technicians at our Care Centers. You have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.
