Server PHP GD support

Hello,
I know this issue has been a subject around for awhile.. I am well aware their are many subjects online abut how to resolve this.. However, I belive my concern may be a little different.. I am coming from a better understanding of IIS.. I'll get right to the point.
I recently purchased a copy of OSX server 10.5 believing it may be an overall better server for web server / data storage..
Unfortunately I was not aware of the GD php module issue in 10.5 server..
Naturally, I started searching on Google for a resolve to the issue. It appears now many of those documents written are now dated and with many dead download links.. or the commands you use in terminal no longer work or bounce back with errors.. leaving me at a dead stop..
I know one way to fix this would be to download a complete new copy of Apache, PHP, MYSQL.. My only issue with that is I would like to continue using the SERVER ADMIN program.. I would assume with a new copy of Apache, PHP and MYSQL.. It would no longer function with the SERVER ADMIN program? I prefer it do to the GUI it has.. I am not much for command lines and more into GUI workings.
Does anyone know how this GD module issue can be resolved with the current setup in 10.5? So far, I really like the layout of this OS.. yet small issues like these have led me to days of pulling my hair out in frustration!

Thank you for the well written response to my overall problem...
I completely agree that usually the best thing to do is stay "upto date". However, even the latest server software from Apple yields some very disappointing reviews... My understanding is 10.6 server still did not offer the PHP GD module as well..... I even read an article about 10.7 server being the "beautiful server that does nothing" or something along those lines.. pertaining to the issues..
I completely agree that UNIX commands would be a great skill to acquire.. However, I also must admit that is something that will take great effort, sincerity and a mind geared for that knowledge.. Sadly, My focus is more on getting a server up and going so I can move forward with what I need for a web forum and file storage... That's not to say I would not mind learning a little more here and there about UNIX... However at this time... I need the server up and going before anything else..
Also, my up front cost I have just spent on this G5 along with the server software... Has kind of turned me away from making any further investments into another server and another OS purchase...
Is there still any hope in getting the GD to work in PHP? Like I said before.. I have done a lot of Google searching and click well over 20 links... Most of them ending in command prompt errors or when I try to download dependencies it usually times out with what I would be I believe no file found from the host..
I have looked into MAMP... yet they have since pulled support for PPC software.. Plus I read that that is more for developers wanting to test sites...
Is there something else recommended for my setup that has perhaps a GUI?
I hate to say it but the thought of going back to my old Server 2003 machine with IIS is entering my mind a lot.. Don't get me wrong though... I really want this to work!
I saw something online a couple times about some guy that developed a script that would do the install all for you.. Yet.. Every time I try the link it comes up dead now.. Some how I hope I can locate the script he developed..
Any advice?

[SOLVED] Zabbix installation blocked - PHP database support missing?

Hello everyone!
I'm trying to install zabbix following the wiki (the mysql version: zabbix-server-mysql from AUR),
on a working LAMP server (up to date).
The package installs, but when I try to take the last steps of the installation (from http://localhost/my_zabbix_installation),
on page two (Check of pre-requisites) it marks:
"PHP databases support off Fail"
according to php, mysql support is enabled. (extension=mysql.so is commented out in /etc/php/php.ini)
What can cause this?

It is not bug. Read PHP extensions
uncommet in file /etc/php/php.ini
extension=mysqli.so

Mac Mini Server Doesn't Support Duel Thunderbolt Displays!

I purchased a mac mini server with the intent of ultimately running two thunderbolt displays off of it. I pre-ordered in August, waited six weeks for it to arrive and realized that the mac mini server that I had been sent was a lemon. I applied for a replacement, which was built in China and it arrived two weeks later. Everything was going great - I had my mac mini server running a thunderbolt and I was thrilled! Yesterday however, I purchased my second thunderbolt display, connected it and nothing happened. Trouble shooting didn't help. Finally, I called apple and was told that the server version doesn't support duel thunderbolt displays! I had read all of the technical specifications and there was no mention (at that time) that the server couldn't support duel displays. I am now in the process of returning my mac mini server in exchange for a custom build mac mini with upgraded 2.7 GHz i7 processors and 8GB RAM. I'm really disappointed to have to be going through all of these extra steps just to realize the system that I imagined early on. I checked the Apple Thunderbolt display options page at apple and they have now posted that the server doesn't support duel displays (but that informaiton definitely was not there when I first read it!). Why would the server version not support duel displays? To me, it doesn't make any sense. What are your thoughts?

It doesn't support dual TB displays because it uses the integrated
Intel graphics HD 3000. Only discrete graphics cards can handle
dual TB displays. The integrated graphics chip just cant handle
the load.
As for the logic of it, as servers, they are usually single display
and even more often are run headless and managed remotely.
It is marketed as a server and thus the logic.

Mac mini server suddenly says 'server version not supported'

Just bought a mac mini server with Lion Server installed a couple of days ago and it has suddenly declared that the server version is not supported and will not allow me to re access the server from the Server App. I don't have any data that I need to recover as I am still experimenting with the set up. Is there away to reset this or do I have to do a clean install? Please advise if you can?

mac Mini 2011 model.
came with Lion installed on it.
downloaded Server from the app store. installed and worked great.
updated the "server" to 10.7.1.
then i decided to delete the server.
now, when i try to re-install, it says server is not support.
its because the OS X client is now at 10.7.1 and the server install is looking for 10.7.0
i think i am going to have to re-install Lion client and try again.

Could anyone give me the hardware and software requirements for installations of solution manager 7.0 and ERP 6.0. on windows.

Did you have a look at the PAM as suggest at http://service.sap.com/pam?
Vista/Windows 7 are client operating systems and are not supported for ERP 6.0 or Solution Manager or any other backend.

I cannot copy and paste details from my bank statement into a word document, without the formatting changing.I have a message in my Error console which reads: server does not support RFC 5746, see CVE-2009-3555

Since transferring data from my desktop to my laptop, i am now having problems copying and pasting details from my bank website in to a word document, the formatting is all over the place. This didnt happen before, when i pasted the details in to the word document the formatting was exactly the same as on the webpage. If I use internet explorer, I dont have this problem, so, I can only assume it has something to do with Firefox. I have checked the "Error console" and I am receiving this message: server does not support RFC 5746, see CVE-2009-3555.

this page the supported SQL configurations for WSUS on Windows Server 2012/2012 R2 stop at SQL Server 2012 SP1, but there is no mention of SQL Server 2012 SP2 being supported.
However, both the SCCM 2012 R2
supported configuration page and this announcement state that SQL Server 2012 SP2 is fully supported on SCCM 2012 R2 with no
known limitations. Bearing in mind a big part of SCCM is to perform software updates which in turn requires WSUS to be installed...

The only thing that mattered for the versions mentioned on TechNet probably is the date the articles are published. I'm no Microsoft employee so I cannot guarantee you support even if I trace back some Microsoft article that explains the lifecycle of MS
products and support.
Fact is that MDT uses a database, SQL is a database server. SQL server has all kinds of compatibility modes to support databases dating multiple versions back.
Another fact is that a Service pack is an
update to the software (be it a large one) Microsoft will not break compatibility with their own products (and may others that relay on SQL server) by an update.
And a last fact is that in general, updates are required when you need support. After all, updates fix issues, and engineers generally don't like ghosthunting a bug that has already been patched.

Test 1 succeeds, returning expected results, and Test 2 fails returning the error mentioned above.
Other articles I've found so far don't seem to apply to my case. I am not creating any explicit transactions in my code. When I use OPENQUERY, I am able to do the insert just fine, but not when I use EXEC @MDX at LinkedServer.
Unfortunately in some variations of the query, I run into the 8800 character limit on OPENQUERY, so I need to use this other approach.
Any ideas?

Server does not support remote panels

I am developing an online laboratory setup and hence am using a client server model..the client VI being accessed by remote users online. I have done all the necessary steps using Web Publishing tool and the configuration set up. I have also tested the VI previously online. Suddenly now when I hit the URL for the VI the panel does not load...it says Server does not support remote panels. What could be the problem?

I upload a video file to a new Asset. I then attempt to create a streaming URL by creating an Access Policy and then a Locator, which I use to generate the URL used for streaming.This works great. Until the 6th time you execute
that code against the same Asset. Then you receive this error:
"Server does not support setting more than 5 shared access policy identifiers on a single container."
So, that's fine. I don't need to create a new AccessPolicy everytime, I can reuse the one I've created previously, build a Locator using that same policy. However, even then, I get the error about 5 shared access policies on a single container.
Is this the Lmitation of media service? or am I missing something?

I am running Win 7, with a Netgear wireless dongle (Wn111v2) via a BT HomeHub. Both with latest drivers. Apart from Auto updates from MS & Firefox, no other software newly loaded.
Recently, Netgear starts with 113 Mbps, then rapidly drops to 1 Mbps. Firefox Error console states: "Server does not support: RFC 567456 see CVE-2009-3555"
