Server Shutting down, when the Concurrent Users are more

Hi,
We are working on EP 5.0 SP5, our problem is that if the concurrent users are more automatically our LDAP or Portal is shutting down (approximately 300 or above..).
For this problem… where we have to check? help can be appreciated...
Regards,
Sudhir

Hi,
If you portal is shutting down when it is getting a high load I would look at the memory settings defined in the configtool (if you are using a service or the startupframework) or the go.bats if you are running them manually. I would assume that the problems comes from the java process not being able to get enough memory, so try increasing the heapsize parameter Xmx (?)

My MAC Pro shuts down when the battery still has 52 minutes life without any warning. Does anyone have this problem? BTW, it is less than one year old.

You must have a MacBookPro, right? MacPro's are big desktop models.
Try the MacBookPro battery forum or their Usage forum.

  • Why does my macbook shut down when the lid is closed?

    Hi,
    I have a Macbook Pro (mid-2012) running 10.9.1
Last week out of the blue, the Macbook started shutting down whenever I close the lid.
When I open the lid, the logon screen appears (as if it's been asleep as normal) but almost immediately reboots itself.
Has anyone else got the same issue? Any idea how to resolve?
    Thanks

If after you open the lid you do get the login screen, almost immediately, but then it restarts your system is not shutting down when you close the lid. It is going into a sleep state but then crashes when trying to come out of that sleep state. There are quite a few posts on this problem and it seems to be caused by the system going into the Deep Sleep state also known as the hibernate mode. That is where the contents of the RAM is written to the hard drive and the system suspends supplying power to the RAM chips so the system uses even less power then in regular sleep mode.
That is only supposed to happen after the system has been in the regular sleep mode for an extended period of time.
To check the state of the huiberbnate mode open terminal and type in, or copy and paste, this command.
    pmset -g | grep hibernatemode
To check the state of all power management settings use the command.
    pmset -g

  • Why is my phone shutting down when the battery is @ 94% doing anything with it? Is the recent upgrade a chance to get us to buy and Iphone 4?

My I phone 3ga 16gb shuts down when I open any app and surf any webpage unless plugged in to the charger. I have 94% battery and as long as I don't do anything with the phone except answer it when I get a call it will stay on. I recently upgraded it to the 4.3.5 os and was wondering if that is my problem? if it is how do I get it back to an older operating system?

Highly unlikely that 4.3.5 itself is the problem as there would be millions with the same problem... there are not.
Restore your 3GS from your backup.  If still a problem, restore as new, i.e. without your backup.  One of those will most likely solve your problem.  If not, you may have a defective battery.

  • MacBook Pro keeps shutting down when the screen is closed

Hi, I have a 2011 15inch MacBook Pro and it keeps shutting down rather than sleeping when I shut the screen. It also shuts down when left for short periods of time rather than sleeping. I have updated it yesterday and still the problem happens. I also installed a virus check to see if that was the problem and it didnt find anything it could fix! Any help is much appreciated!!!

Try a SMC reset.  That may correct the situation.

  • Web server shuts down when I start it, and starts when I shut it down

    I have an Xserve runing 10.8.4 and Server.app 2.2.1
I've been messing around, trying to get django to work, and now I appear to have done a bad thing.
When I flip the switch (or run sudo sudo serveradmin start web) in Server.app from OFF to ON, whilst running a tail -f on /var/log/apache2/error_log, I see this:
[Wed Jun 26 16:31:44 2013] [warn] NameVirtualHost 10.5.1.6:80 has no VirtualHosts
    [Wed Jun 26 16:31:44 2013] [notice] Apache/2.2.22 (Unix) PHP/5.3.15 with Suhosin-Patch mod_wsgi/3.3 Python/2.7.2 mod_ssl/2.2.22 OpenSSL/0.9.8x DAV/2 configured -- resuming normal operations
and when I flip the switch from ON to OFF (or sudo serveradmin stop web) I see this:
[Wed Jun 26 16:32:01 2013] [notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down
    um... so everything is backwards.
anyone have any idea what I did?

    Maybe I'm missing something...
"When I flip the switch (or run sudo sudo serveradmin start web) in Server.app from OFF to ON:
    [notice] Apache/2.2.22 (Unix) PHP/5.3.15 with Suhosin-Patch mod_wsgi/3.3 Python/2.7.2 mod_ssl/2.2.22 OpenSSL/0.9.8x DAV/2 configured -- resuming normal operations
So Apache starts up (true, you have a configuration error, but that's a different issue.
    Conversely:
and when I flip the switch from ON to OFF
    [notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down
So it shuts down. That doesn't match your original premise, so what's the issue?

  • Satellite A300 shuts down when the power adapter plug is inserted

    Hi people
When i connect power cable to my toshiba sat a300, it shuts down immediatly. I can use it on battery normally without any problems.
When i boot in the safe mode, it works properly without any problem with the AC Adapter connected to the Notebook.
    OS is Windows Vista
What is the reason? what i can do to solve this problem?
    Thanks

I can start the Notekook with the AC Adapter plugged, but it turns off before to reach the Welcome Screen or reboot. I tried straight to install Windows 7 with a another HDD . As soon as only the installation files are loaded, the system starts again. I do not reach times the beautiful blue window, of where the actual installation can be started.

  • My iPhone shuts down when the battery still has about 30%

When I then try to restart, it won't, but just show the red low battery icon with the charger cable telling me to recharge first. When I then plug in the charger, it shows maybe still 27% and starts to charge. Before this problem occured my iPhone went down to 1% or so and only THEN shut down automatically.
Have reset my iPhone and "recalibrated" the battery (total discharge followed by a full charge to 100% with original iPhone charger). Problem persists.
    Thanks for any help!

Sorry, iPhone 4S, but IOS 7 something.

  • Application server shuts down when solaris terminal closes

I'm running the latest version of solaris and have Glassfish v2 installed. I use the solaris terminal to navigate to the startup scripts and start the appserver... it starts up fine. For whatever reason, when I now close the terminal window, the appserver shuts down. Is this normal? How can I avoid this?
    Thanks

some of that may be up to the application and how it can be started. im not familiar with this so if you have the doc for it handy, take a look at it looking for running as a daemon or service.

  • My iPhone shuts down when the battery is still 18%, what's wrong?

Sooo my phone started to shut down sooner and sooner (5% - 9% and now 18%).
I usually charge it every night and in the morning it says 100%.
Also, the battery percentage drops a lot in a short amount of time.
I don't use my phone excessively or anything so I don't understand why it would just shut down like this.

  • The iPad shuts down when the cover is closed so I can't get mail message or Skype alerts?

Didnt do it at first but now when the ipad cover is closed it wont alert me to mail or massages etc.
Done everything I can think of but to no avail.
Perhaps I have changed a setting without realising it...
Can any one help with that one?

I have tried everything I could to fix this, but some things require actually being on Firefox, and since I cannot get on, I cannot click on the tabs to do it. I have even totally uninstalled firefox, and that has not fixed this. I still get the same message that firefox is running and I need to close it or restart (which I have also tried dozens of times). I have removed things like Java, and that has not helped either. If I cannot even get on line in firefox, how can I fix this. I am not crazy about using internet explorer, but right now, it is my only option. I even tried to start in safe mode, and the same message box pops up!

  • JMS server shuts down when quota_threshold reached

    Hi,
Using weblogic 10.3.2. We are using WLS JMS Queues and are having the below issue. We are using filestore as a persistence during peak times huge number of messages are queued and the space on the disk gets filled up where no more messages are able to be persisted but some how WebLogic keeps accepting the messages and we end up restarting the servers to make sure messages starts getting processed. Is there a way if the space on the disk gets full we don't accepts any messages in the queues and once the space gets available start accepting the messages over again. Is there any out-of-the-box functionality available that it automatically detects this kind of behavior and WLS JMS to stop eccepting the new messages till have enough space.

Thanks for the info but the question is how do I know what quotas to set. So the one getting the above error weblogic jms should stop taking any messages until there's enough space available. As currently it keeps accepting the messages and we den up restarting the servers.
Currently under JMS Server configurations everything is set to -1 and in connection factory timeout is set to 10 ms.
    Thanks
