Service Consumption of Enterprise Serices

Hello @ All,
I have published a Service definition from a SAP SWCV for SAP IS-U but the problem it has no Endpoint. I have tried to configure one. But i didn´t find its name on Services under SOAMANAGER. Because i think this Service definition don´t need a Proxy Generation.
The target is to consume this Enterprise Service. !
I don´t find also the SWC in ABAP WORKBENCH i would generate a Service Consumer from the WSDL File of this Service Interface.
Can you please tell me how?
Thank you so much!
Best Regards.
A.Labrache

Well in CE you can consume ES in many ways.
Process Layer. You can consume ES as part of a role based Guided procedure.
View Layer. You can build WebDynpros and Visual Composer iViews to consume ES.
Service & Business Object Layer. You can use Service Composition to consume an extend ES with your own Business Logic.

  • Can Web Service Consumption in SAP CRM 7.0 handle multiple records

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement where in I need to Consume a web service in SAP CRM. The response of the web service will have multiple records.
    My questions is will Web Service Consumption in SAP CRM 7.0 be able to handle these records in a popup or not.
    I would like to know whether it is feasible or not.
    Thanks,
    Deepika

    Hi Kavita,
    There is a standard column in UWL with name 'Sent Date'. Other functionalities in UWL for example deadline monitoring (Due date column) are based on this sent date. This shows an employee what was the date workitem was created (sent date) and when it will get escalated (due date). Displaying forwarding date in Sent date will not give clear picture to employee as the deadline will be calculated based on sent date only not based on forwarding date. this was just an example.
    even though if your client is insisting, i dont think it can be done without any enhancement in UWL web dynpro com sort of thing. you can check with your portal consultant too.

  • Difference between  a WEB service and a Enterprise Service?

    Can Anybody explain me the difference between  a WEB service and a Enterprise Service?

    Hi Anilkumar K Naidu ,
    Web service
    A Web service is a self-contained, modularized functionality, which can be published, discovered, and accessed across a network using open standards and which is supported by SAP NetWeaver. Web services cover services provision for integration within an enterprise as well as cross enterprises on top of any communication technology stack, whether asynchronous or synchronous, in any format.
    Web Services in the NetWeaver framework play an important role in facilitating the integration of disparate applications from various departments or trading partners and thus increasing business productivity. This benefit allows small and medium businesses also to integrate their business applications with larger trading partners. The benefit derived from this seamless integration introduces security concerns when all the business logic is now being exposed through a standard interface that is a catalyst for security vulnerabilities. SAP Security Managers must use automated diagnostics tools to ensure that the security vulnerabilities are caught in pre-production and in post-production phase.

    Enterprise Service
    Enterprise Service-Oriented Architecture (Enterprise SOA)
    Enterprise SOA is a blueprint for an adaptable, flexible, and open IT architecture for developing services-based, enterprise-scale business solutions. With SAP NetWeaver as a technical foundation, enterprise SOA moves IT architectures to higher levels of adaptability – and moves companies closer to the vision of real-time enterprises by elevating Web services to an enterprise level.
    An enterprise service is typically a series of Web services combined with business logic that can be accessed and used repeatedly to support a particular business process. Aggregating Web services into business-level enterprise services provides a more meaningful foundation for the task of automating enterprise-scale business scenarios.

  • Open Service Connection to Enterprise Portal system from Solution Manager

    Hi All,
    We are getting below error, when we tried to Enable/Open Service Connection ( DSWP -> Solution Landscape ->Service Connection) to Enterprise Portal system.
    Here we selected the row Connection -> R/3 support  and Connection tab -> open/change connection and clicked on SUBMIT. The we got below short dump.
    Runtime Errors         UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
    Exception              CX_WD_CONTEXT
    Short text
        An exception occurred that was not caught.
    What happened?
        The exception 'CX_WD_CONTEXT' was raised, but it was not caught anywhere along the call hierarchy.
        Since exceptions represent error situations and this error was not adequately responded to, the running ABAP program
         'CL_WDR_CONTEXT_NODE===========CP' has to be
        terminated.
    What can you do?
        Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
        To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
        administrator.
        Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
        at and manage termination messages, and you can also
        keep them for a long time.
    Error analysis:
        An exception occurred which is explained in detail below.
        The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_WD_CONTEXT', was not caught and
        therefore caused a runtime error.
        The reason for the exception is:
        The node does not contain any elements. COMPONENTCONTROLLER.1.SYSTEMS.1.CLIENTS
    How to correct the error:
        If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
        If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following keywords:
        "UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION" "CX_WD_CONTEXT"
        "CL_WDR_CONTEXT_NODE===========CP" or "CL_WDR_CONTEXT_NODE===========CM00R"
        "_RAISE_ELEMENT_NOT_FOUND"
    SMSY configuration ( logical component assignmnet) is alredy done. Is it required to do any other settings. SMD ( Solution Manager Diagnostics ) settings are not done. Is this required?
    We are able to enable/open Service Connection open to ABAP system . Only for Java system we are getting error.
    Please help me on this.
    Thanks..

    Hi,
    If you can't see the login screen of the CMC then it's a problem of webapps and not EIM services.
    Try cleaning the Tomcat cache for the BOE webapps and let Tomcat re cache it.  Often it does the job.
    - Stop Tomcat
    - Rename the BOE folder to BOE-OLD in C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\tomcat\work\Catalina\localhost\
    - Start Tomcat
    When the Tomcat process in task manager is done working (it can take 10-20 min+) then try again.
    When you're done, you can delete the BOE-OLD folder.
    Let me know!

  • Services entry in Enterprise Managers Navigator

    Hi,
    in OEM 9.2.0 how to access to services entry in Enterprise Managers Navigator ?
    Many thanks before.

    Hello,
    From your description it looks like the SAP ME web services are configured correctly on NW side.
    The problem is most likely in SAPMEINT/MII configuration. Because the authentication properties for SAP ME web services are not configured in the transaction directly.
    These properties are configured in MII Administration Menu -> Security Services -> Credential Editor. The name is SAPMEINT_ME_AUTH

    Reply soon.
    Thanks and Regards
    Naveen Chawla

    Hi Pushpa,
    I am using IDES server, so the link which u are telling is not executing, actually Table ESSR is not fetching any data with refrence to PR number. May be its the problem of IDES but that PR no field is not updating in my server.
    But I find a extra link , By getting PR no from EBKN pass it EKPO table, from here take the PO no and then pass it into table ESSR, the required data will come.
    U also check this out, and tell me if i am wrong about above mentioned procedure.
    Thanks and Regards

    hi all,
    I need Somehelp regarding External Web Service consumption in portal component.
    I have a wsdl file, but when i try to create a model using wsdl in portal it is showing cannot to read the wsdl file.
    is there any other way i consume wsdl in portal.

    Hi,
    mybe it's an authorization problem while reading the WSDL file?

  • Enterprise services consumption by 3rd party - Security

    Dear Experts,
    I am planning to create a few enterprise services using an inside out approach (using FMs) with an intention of consuming it in a .NET WPF application (protoyping).
    These web services would then be consumed by a third party application which is outside our system landscape, in the near future. This 3rd application would thus have access to our data exposed through the interface.
    My question is, first of all, is it possible to achieve this kind of communication without any mappings??
    Secondly, how safe is it to provide such interfaces externally and will the user authentication settings be enough to assure safe integration? WIll the firewall settings affect this kind of 3rd party communication over the internet?
    Are there any problems that you all foresee?
    Any comments on this would be great as I plan to start really soon..
    Thanks a lot in advance,
    Amith

    >My question is, first of all, is it possible to achieve this kind of communication without any mappings??
    yes once service is created then any .Net application can consume it by using wsdl.
    >Secondly, how safe is it to provide such interfaces externally and will the user authentication settings be enough to assure safe integration?
    user/password with limited authorization is safe enough but for extra security you probably use certificates.
    >WIll the firewall settings affect this kind of 3rd party communication over the internet?
    No, if your landscape is open for http communication then firewall will be unable to block any soap communication as it is plain text.
    >Are there any problems that you all foresee?
    First see what are your security risk appetite then check who will be user, selective partners or anyone who want to use it. For selective users you can create license or certificate key which need to be used to authenticate by calling application. Always create different endpoint for different partners or user so that you can selectively turn on/off the communication and will be able to trace who is doing what?
    Hope this helps you.

  • To launch Oracle BPM deployed Web Services [In BPM Enterprise]

    Hi all,
    I have expose my Process Instance into Web Services in Studio.
    It is working well. In Studio, I start the Engine (Run -> Start Engine),
    Then, I Start the Web Services (Run -> Launch deployed Web Services webapps).
    It would show me my local webservice links.
    http://localhost:9000/albpmServices/<ProjectName>/ws
    But, I unable to launch this Web Service Webapps, when i deploy the project into Oracle BPM Enterprise with Weblogic Server.
    May know what is the link for BPM Enterprise?
    Regards,
    Chris

    My URL is:-
    http://localhost:9000/albpmServices/TestProject/ws/TestProcessServiceListener?wsdl=true
    and it does not seem to open the WSDL when I start the enterprise server engine..
    I have the process exposed as a web-service with two methods..
    One for Process Creation and another for Notification Wait Activity...
    I have also checked the box to start PAPI WS Services on my standalone server
    Is there some other config that I need to make inside my standalone server to get this WSDL?
    I understand that standalone works on Tomcat...

  • Create service order on basis of service request via Enterprise Service

    Hi,
    I would like to use the ServiceExecutionOrderERPCreateRequestConfirmation_In Enterprise Service to create a service order in SAP in the basis of a previous created service request. Is this possible? I already tried calling the service with various parameter combinations. The creation works fine but the relationship to the service request is not maintained. Could maybe any of the SAP guys or anyone else tell me whether this is possible at all or not?
    Thanks a lot,
    Manfred

    Hello Manfred,
    Yes this is possible.
    In the service structure, there is a node by name BusinessTransactionDocumentReference.
    Please enter the following in the node elements:
    ID = <service_request_id>
    TypeCode =  118
    MainIndicator = true.
    The node BusinessTransactionDocumentReference may look like below in XML.
    <BusinessTransactionDocumentReference>
         <BusinessTransactionDocumentReference>
              <ID>service_request_number</ID>
              <TypeCode>118</TypeCode>
         </BusinessTransactionDocumentReference>
         <MainIndicator>true</MainIndicator>
    </BusinessTransactionDocumentReference>
    If you set the MainIndicator to false, ServiceRequest will be visible in the "Objects" tab in the Order. If this is true, ServiceRequest will be in the header of the order.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards

  • Server-Services property called Web Services Listener in Enterprise Server

    I am trying to find out the Server-Services property called Web Services Listener Port inside the Enterprise Server web console..but I cannot find it.. In the BPM manuals it is given that:-
    When using FuegoBPM Enterprise Server, the Port is defined in the
    Web Console as a Server-Services property called Web Services Listener
    Port. Therefore, instead of the default port 9000 used in the Studio,
    the URL is composed by this redefined port.
    Where can I find this inside of the web console?

    I got my answer:-
    For 10g and 6.0 Studio:
    http://{MachineName}:9000/albpmServices/{Projectname}/ws/{Processname}ServiceListener?wsdl=true
    For 10g and 6.0 Enterprise using WebLogic, the URL is similar, but replace the {MachineName} and port number with the WebLogic host and port. And, you will need to replace the {project name} with {engine name}. The Engine name is the BPM engine name shown in the Oracle BPM admin console under Engines:
    http://{WebLogic MachineName}:{WebLogic Port}/albpmServices/{Engine-name}/ws

  • Creating a WEB Service for SAP enterprise connector

    Hi,
    I am using the SAP enterprise connector plugin for Netweaver 04.
    It generated me all the classes that I need for the BAPI.
    It also generated me a Proxy class.
    I want to create a service.
    This is what I've done :
    1) create a portal service.
    2) create a methode in the service :
    public Bapi_Companycode_Getdetail_Output execute_BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETDETAIL(
    Bapi_Companycode_Getdetail_Input arg1)
    try {
    return new MyProxy_PortType().bapi_Companycode_Getdetail (arg1);
    } catch (Exception e) {
    return null;
    3) after I created a web service from the portal service.
    Is it the right way ?
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Marcin and everyone,
    Thanks for the precious explanations.
    I created a client and I have an exception.
    1) I made a portal service from wsdl - client side.
    2) I created a DynPage.
    3) Here is the code :
    IMyBAPI4Service client = (IMyBAPI4Service) PortalRuntime.getRuntimeResources().getService(
    IMyBAPI4Service.KEY);
    IMyBAPI4Service securedClient = (IMyBAPI4Service) client.getSecurisedServiceConnection(                 request.getUser());
    //this is null.
    if (securedClient.getURLEndPoint().getURL() == null) {
    securedClient.setURLEndPoint(new URLEndpoint("http://<server>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/soap/com.sap.portal.prt.soap.MyBAPI4Service?style=doc_lit"));
    Bapi_Companycode_Getdetail_Input importParams =     new Bapi_Companycode_Getdetail_Input();
    importParams.setCompanycodeid("0500");
    Bapi_Companycode_Getdetail_Output exportParams = null;
    securedClient.execute_BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETDETAIL(importParams);
    Do I have to use a secured client ? What is it ?
    The exception is :
