Hi ,
We developed a report for displaying serice number for work orders. It is working fine for work order with only one servive entry sheet . But when a work order consists of multiple operations with multiple service entry sheets it is not picking the correct datas.Please provide us with the link between operation number , material document number and service details .

Thanks for the response . Is it AFVC or AVFC ? Actually we want to track for each operation , what are the service number assigned and accepted . I tried to pass PACKNO in ESLL table but it is not showing any activity number . I have not tried yet with ESSL . Let me check and get back.

Service details are not copying from contract to Maint.Order

Dear Experts,
I was doing a service contract cycle, with the following steps.
1. Created a Service contract, in T. Code ME31K.
2. Given all the details in the Header data of the Contract.
3. Mentioned the, Item category as D (Service), Account Assignment as F (Order), short text, Target Quantity, Material group, Plant and Storage Location in the Item Overview screen.
4. Given the Service Number and Quantity, Gross Price, Cost Center and GL Account.
5. Saved the Contract.
6. After released the Contract in T. Code ME35K.
7. Then created a Maintenance Order through T. Code IW31.
8. In the Operation Overview screen of the Maintenance Order, the control key is given as PM03 and clicked on External button of the Maintenance Order.
9. In the External Processing Operation screen the Contract Number and line Item is mentioned in the Agreement Field.
10. System given a message Data copied from contract.
11. All the data copied excepting the Service details of the Contract.
Here the Service Number and its details which were mentioned in the Service specifications of the Contract are not getting copied from the Contract.
What could be the reason for that? Did I perform the transaction properly?
I have searched the forum earlier for the same but could not get any required information.
Can any one help me out on this??

Select the services from the service selection button, then click on current spec, all the services which are under contract will be displayed. select your required services or copy all services.(Click on adopt services)

Unable to retrive the service details

Good day.
After i've restarted the UCCX mashine,in the control center i have the "Unable to retrive the service details" and "java.lang.Null.pointer.exception" concerning to the recording and statistics service.
But the service itself working properly.

What can it be?
What is the solution?

To say the truth i wasn't able to solve the problem.
I'd no smartnet,so i wasn't able contact TAC.
I've been told,it can be fixed by tracing system variables by Java programmer.
But,i don't know Java at all.
Installing patches and fixes,all avaiable,didn't solve the problem.
So,the system works so since i've opened discussion.
Sorry,but i've no solution for this

BAPI_REQUISITION_CREATE with service detail

Hi,
Happy new year to all.
I'm having a problem working with BAPI_REQUISITION_CREATE.
I used that BAPI and was able to successfully create a PR. When I tried to view the PR in ME53N, the service detail was there. However, when I run the BAPI_REQUISITION_GETDETAIL it doesn't return the service details. I checked the code of BAPI_REQUISITION_GETDETAIL and found out that when I used the BAPI_REQUISITION_CREATE to create a PR it did not save the service header detail (which is table ELSH). I'm wondering why this happened to me. Anyone knows why? By the way, I was able to put an outline indicator to the REQUISITION_SERVICES table parameter.

It's strange that the outline of my service doesn't get inserted in table ESLH.

System is not recording the Service details while doing recording of ML81N

Can someone tell me difference between different line types in service detail's screen?
How would it affect the business process,especially 'STANDARD' and 'CONTIGENCY' type?

if you flag a service as Contigency line then the service is not essential to the execution of the order. It is conditional type of service. This will be not added to the cost of the PO at the time of creation of the PO, wheras it will be taken into account at the time of service entry only. The value of this service line is not included in the total value of the service specifications.
For Example If a Compressor is being maintained, the oil is changed only if it is found that it cannot be used further.
Standard services are normal services with a short text, a quantity, and a unit of measure such as service master
Similarly we have Blanket line, Information line, Open Quantity

Do I have to synchronize when retrieve service detail one by one?

am retrieving some service list and which need the service number,so I have to get the service detail object one service by another. And every service use its own si requester. At first I use a synchronized object to ensure the result can not be misunderstood,but later I found it may have low effeciency,and so that every service has its own requestor ,I think maybe every result should be propery understood,because ther requester can find the "father" who invoke it. Am I right?
I still have such problem about event retrieving,can any one tell me the proper way about that??Thanks!

You can issue multiple requests asynchronously, provided that the event listener has enough information to tell which request it's processing. With the JavaTV SI API, this may not be very easy unless you use a separate listener for every request. The DVB SI API makes it a bit more straightforward because you can pass an application-specific parameter when making the request, and this can be used to tell which result corresponds to that request.
You will probably still need some synchronization, depending what you want to do with the data you have. For instance, you may want to wait until you have the results from all your requests before doing futher processing, but at least you can avoid making every request synchronized.

Understanding a service monitor "Service Details"?

I am just trying to understand an alert coming from the ConfigMgr/SCCM 2012 management pack but I guess my question is a bit broader than that in that it will help me understand over service alerts
For most service monitoring I just look at the basic service monitor itself and the “service details”. For instance the monitoring the WMI service just shows as “WinMgmt” as I would expect.
However I have an alert for a “ConfigMgr Site Role Issue”. When I use health explorer this then shows as “Site SQL Backup Service Monitor”. When I look at the “service details” for this it shows as –
$Target/Property[Type="SCCM!Microsoft.SystemCenter2012.ConfigurationManager.SqlServer"]/BackupServiceName$
I just wonder if someone can explain this line and what its actually looking at? Is there somewhere I can view this better as to what it is monitoring?

BackupServiceName$ should be one property defined under the sqlserver class which is defined in Microsoft.SystemCenter2012.ConfigurationManager MP.
You may need to open the XML which defined the class, and then ctrl+f to search the key word “BackupServiceName$”

Service line item is nothing but , where purchase order item catagoery has 'D' then its belongs to service item.

You can use TRACE to find the database table involved in this operations.
Just switch on the trace from ST05 , just before starting your transaction and whe you reach to this item screen,switch the trace off.
Now , check the database tables accessed during this process. Try to find which table is having your desired information.

PO item overview with item details for service POs

Hi experts,
Is there any standard report to see the PO Item overview short description data with Item-services details in case of service POs.
We raise the service pos with service short description in Item overview and against that short description we maintain service nos in item-services.
we want to see the PO wise item overview short description with item services in one report.
we have already seen ME2S,MSRV1 to 6,ME80FN, but its not serve our purpose.

Changing details in Service PO

In a Service PO, the problem I am facing is that entering in Purchase Order "Item Category in Purchasing Document" (column I) the value D (services) automatically declares the unit in terms of AU (Activity Unit). Hence, when I go for the output (print preview) it gives a weird Quantity of 1 AU no matter the service was measured in terms of, fee charged per liter or per tank or per day etc. This obviously is not good but my supervisor thinks it is a lot of work.
If I want the quantity to appear as it appears in the Service Item, all I need to do is get the unit from that field right? Hence the form only requires changing of field from qty in the header to the qty in the item?
Replacing MEPO1211-EPSTP with ESLL-MEINS in however the code for forms (i.e. output for print) is written should do the trick right? I want to be sure about the way to go about it to discuss this with my supervisor.

I just want to justify the logic why system picks AU for service items.
two ways you can procure the service.
- for short term services, we create account assigned PO with short text.
- for long term services, we create service master and also we want to track the service completion with SES.
Having said this... for service PO with item category D, in the line item we dont enter any material and we just enter short description with account assignment. so it means we are not entering exact service details in the line item. We enter the exact service details in service tab and moreover a single service can have multiple services clubbed. for ex. you are creating a service PO for lunch bouffet party. You want to categorise this service into specific services..
- food - 100 EA
- drinks - 20 Litres
- waiter service - 5 man hours
In the above example, you create PO and mention short description as New year lunch party with UOM AU. and in the service tab you mention all the three services with three different UOM. So if system allows you to change the UOM in line item, you can't have different UOM in service line items. Hence I think system is using generic UOM.
So you need to change your smartform logic to fetch the UOM from service tab and not in item tab.

No parameter found to add service item detail in BAPI_PR_CHANGE.

Answer:
Yes. Release 6.04 (Enhancement Package 4) provides new API functions for
the object BUS2105 that include this function. In addition the business
function LOG_MM_CI_2 or the switch MM_SFWS_SC2 must be active.

The report is designed in order to show as much information as possible for an agreement. In order to present the information in a clearly arranged manner the data is clustered and displayed on separate report tabs. The data clustering is as follows:

Single Contract Details report is a very huge report it is split into tabs. Navigation between these tabs is possible with a menu bar at the top of the report. Each tab has its own name and located there as a link. By clicking on it the tab is shown.
This report is a special type of report name as drill down report. Due to the Crystal limitation that a report can only contain one sub report, AOL used java component to call single contract report

This is the only report of this type in AOL which is using the drill down functionality in crystal and now we are investigating the performance issue for this report, we have checked all possible area (java, crystal report) where we can improve the performance for this report.
We thought if we can replace the java component with crystal and directly crystal report will connect to single contract report using hyperlink, it may increase the performance but due to the Crystal limitation that a report can only contain one sub report we are not able to do this approach.

How to view web service definition details using Netweaver ?

I have installed Netweaver 7.01 trial version, and I have seen using the Web Service Browser, that all BAPI's are exposed as web services already. I would like to view the web service details for some of these BAPI's, in order to understand the authentication, authorization details for these as I plan to try and call these through java.
I basically want to understand whether they are using BASIC authentication by default or configured to use something else.
Any guidance on this is appreciated.

HOW CAN I DELETE SERVICES IN THE SERVICES REGISTRY?
The concept of the Services Registry sees the content of the registry as a mirror of the various backend systems from which you publish into the registry. To ensure consistency, you should not manually delete service definitions from the registry, but instead it is recommended to use the publication rules functionality of SAP NetWeaver Administrator (Java) and SOA Manager (ABAP) to u2018unpublish' service definitions that are no longer required.
However, if you still need to delete service definitions, you can make use of the corresponding API and manually remove service definitions.
