Service Info

Well sometimes i have to visit places where my GSM don't provide coverage. My Nokia 7600 starts giving alert that "check for service info" and stuff like this and the light keeps on which consumes hell lot of battery charge and if i am supposed to live there for a day or two, i have to put it on charge after every 20 hours. How can i disable these warning messages or atleast the light?

I don't think shoaibi meant that - that would mean guarunteed no signal...
What I believe he/she meant (no offence) is that he wants to have a signal where ever possible, but when there isn't a signal, not to have the alerts etc.
I've never seen any settings to disable that, but then I've never had any messages telling me know I'm out of range or no signal or anything.
The battery will always drain faster when there's a poor signal or no signal at all, as it's constantly trying to achieve a better signal.
I'm pretty sure what you want isn't possible, so the offline mode is the most sensible option - put the phone in that when you know you're out of range, and it will still function, but without trying to improve the signal.
Sorry that seems a bit long winded now lol

  • Service info records

    All SAP Gurus,
    As we have Purchasing info records, for materials.
    Similarly for procuring services, do we have anything like service info records?
    If yes what is the path to maintain/create those?
    Regards,

    The purchasing info record is a source of information for Purchasing on a certain material and the supplier of this material. It contains data such as the vendoru2019s current prices and conditions for this material, the number of the last PO, or the time interval in which the vendor can supply the material.
    Creating Info Record for Material w/o Master Record
    If you wish to create an info record for a material without a master record, you must create the info record for a material group.
    Choose Master data ® Info record ® Create.
    The initial screen is displayed.
    Enter the vendor. Do not fill the Material field
    Specify the following:
    u2013 Whether the info record applies to a certain plant (enter the purchasing organization and plant) or
    u2013 Whether the info record is plant-independent (enter the purchasing organization only)
    u2013 The info record category
    Press ENTER .
    The general data screen appears.
    In the General Data view, enter the following mandatory data:
    u2013 Short description of the info record or material in the first entry field
    u2013 Material group to which the info record is assigned
    u2013 Order unit used for the material
    u2013 Sort term (key) covering several info records that belong to a material group
    Enter the vendor data (if it is not already suggested by the system, having been taken from the vendor master record), the origin data, and the supply options.
    In the Purchasing Organization Data view, enter the data for the purchasing organization if you entered a purchasing organization in step 2. Press ENTER to display the purchasing organization data screen.
    You must enter the following data:
    u2013 Vendor's planned delivery time (used for scheduling)
    u2013 Responsible purchasing group
    u2013 Standard PO quantity (used for price determination in conjunction with price scales)
    You can enter data such as tolerances allowed for underdeliveries and overdeliveries.
    Enter the net price. You have two options:
    u2013 You enter the net price per unit in the Net price field. This price includes the vendor's normal discounts or surcharges only - cash discounts for prompt payment, for example, are calculated separately.
    u2013 You enter the gross price in the Net price field and then maintain the pricing conditions. (To do this, choose Extras ® Conditions.) The system automatically replaces the entered gross price with the calculated net price.
    (Refer to Maintaining Conditions.)
    Enter texts (internal info record memo and purchase order text). Choose Goto ® Texts to display the text overview.
    Save the info record.
    Repeat steps 2 to 8 for all purchasing organizations and plants that are to be assigned to the info record.

  • Web service info in SICF

    ECC 6.0, SP16 here. I created a web service from a BAPI recently using the WS creation wizard from SE37 (btw, using wizard from se80 gives the same results). Everything went fine, but when i go to SICF now, i see that my Web service has three extra nodes under it. I named by Web service z_tickets. So in SICF under the path /default_host/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap i see a node z_tickets which has a node 100 (probably the client no.) which has a node under it called z_tickets which has another node under it called z_tickets. So now, the correct URL to call my web service is myhost/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/z_tickets/100/z_tickets/z_tickets which looks kind of awkward .... All my old web services use to be simply single node in SICF. IS this normal ???? what am i doing wrong ?? or is it because of Sp14 where the new soamanager, end of wsadmin etc kicked in ???? Please advise.

    MercAMG,
    I am using SOAmanager but that only to retrieve the wsdl file,nothing fancy and this step comes only after i have created the WS. The multiple nodes get created right away in SICF before i even go to soamanager to do or check anything. So, its definitely not a matter of FM being duplicated somewhere etc.
    As far as the parameters in teh WS creation wizard are concerned, I am using very normal ones, give a z name for WS, choose FM as the endpoint, choose low or No security profile, check box for deploy service (even unchecking it doesnt help), choose my transport request and package and complete. any clues ?

  • Service - service info - software info - memory card: no file found

    before i flashed a Customized AU firmware i had numbers under the section, now it says no file found. my micro sd works fine, what memory card is this refer to?

    Not an issue but it's probably because you have no pertinent info stored on your SD card with regards to the running of Android

  • E Adept 10 Activation Service Info error

    Does anyone know how to fix this?  I've contacted the online support chat, but they just forward you to the forum section.

    Try the suggestion mentioned under post #8 : http://forums.adobe.com/thread/315028 and check if that helps as multiple users got there issue fixed by following it. Basically, it tells you to add ADE under your firewall exceptions.

  • Is there a service to list invoice types and all invoices for a customer?

    Hi gurus!
    The header/subject speakes for it self: is there a service method that lists all available invoice types?
    The customer uses ecc with ehp3 and I have only found a service for getting an invoice for an invoice Id. But I also want to list all invoices for a certain vendor/customer and to list all invoices for one or more search criteria and thus get a list of invoices that spans over several vendors/customers.
    I have got the service info from the following place:
    http://help.sap.com/content/documentation/esoa/docu_esoa_erp.htm
    and there chosen "Enterpise Services for Enhancement Package 3 for SAP ERP 6.0".
    I'm not sure I have read the library of services correctly though. Is it possible that a method for invoice can be under a service which is not a service for invoice? Or is the library very "strict" so that I can assume that there actually are no services for the purposes stated above? There is no search functionality that I can see...
    All the best
    Benny

    I'm not looking to cripple my computer over a virus software hang-up.
    The computer is already crippled. Remove the Intego product, which is worse than useless and worse than the imaginary "viruses" would be if they really existed, which they don't, by following the instructions on this page. If you have a different version, the procedure may be different.
    Back up all data before making any changes.

  • The same Java service in more than one Flex component

    Hello, I'm using Java to do the services for one application, and I want to use the same service in more than one component. I know how can I use in one component but I don't know if I have to declarate again in the other or how can I do. Here a part of the code to show clearly.
    var info:IServiceInfo;
                    //Ask service ref
                    info = Environment.getInstance().
                        serviceLocator.getterService("com.ent.prueba.Conexion");//the package and the class name
                    info.addEventListener(ServiceInfoEvent.READY, onInfoResult);
                    info.addEventListener(ServiceInfoEvent.ERROR, onInfoFault);
                    info.lookup();
                //The service exist
                private function onInfoResult(event:Event):void{
                    info.removeEventListener(ServiceInfoEvent.READY, onInfoResult);
                    info.removeEventListener(ServiceInfoEvent.ERROR, onInfoFault);
                    var ser:Service = info.getService();
                    ser.addEventListener(ResultEvent.RESULT, onCtxInfo);
                    ser.addEventListener(FaultEvent.FAULT, onInfoFault);
                    ser.getStore(1);
                //The service doesn't exist
                private function onInfoFault(event:Event):void{
                    info.removeEventListener(ServiceInfoEvent.READY, onInfoResult);
                    info.removeEventListener(ServiceInfoEvent.ERROR, onInfoFault);
                    Environment.getInstance().showInfoUser("Error with the service");
                private function onCtxInfo(event:ResultEvent):void{
                    lbl.text = event.result as String;
                private function onCtxInfoError(event:FaultEvent):void{
                    lbl.text = "Fallo : " + event.message;
    This code works, but I want to use ser.xxxx in other component.
    private function treeLoaded():void
               ser.getFolder(id);
            private function treeLoadedResult(event:ResultEvent):void
                xmlTree = XML(ser.getFolder.lastResult.toString());
               var lista:XMLList= xmlTree.Cuenta;
               for(var i:Number=0;i<lista.length(); i++)
                       var tmpTree:XMLList = xmlTree.Cuenta[i].node;
                      newTree.dataProvider = tmpTree;
                     newTree.labelField = "@label";
                       treePanel.addChild(newTree);
    I hope that someone knows how can I do that. how can I can to 'ser' in the second component.
    Thanks!
    PD: all the methods that i want to use in ser.xxxx are in the same class 'Conexion'

  • Upgrade service error after ZFD3 SP3 to ZFD4.01 upgrade

    Hi,
    Having upgraded from ZFD3.2 SP3 to ZFD4.01 and carefully following the
    documentation instructions I still get the following error on the Inventory
    Service startup screen:
    "The Upgrade Service is migrating the schema
    An error has occurred. The upgrade service is exiting now."
    The Inv Srv object Server Status log says:
    "1178: An error occured while performing the DBSchema migration
    1177: Unable to complete all the operations, the upgrade service is exiting
    with errors.
    106: The Storer succesfully connected to the database
    108:the database in not initialized as it is being upgraded"
    All of these errors on the support site have as a fix either restart the
    Inventory Service or contact Novell.
    I've spent some hours now looking for a fix on Knowledgebase and in the Zen
    forums but can't find anything useful. This is the second time I've run the
    upgrade and this problem has occurred. I've reinstalled Zen3.2 from scratch,
    applied SP1 and SP3.
    I've checked policies and database objects, all appears as it should be.
    These seem to be the relevant errors from the log files:
    Migration Log:
    Migration Exception Message->Could not add the dbspace..ASA Error -121:
    Permission denied: unable to create the dbspace file "CIM10",
    SQLState->42501, ErrorCode->262

    Is there no option but to go straight to Novell?

  • JAX-RPC: Web service where both server /and/ client are services?

    I'm considering a two-way Web service in an application that I'm designing and would appreciate any insight from prior experience.
    This will be a standard client-server application, where the server broadcasts messages and the client, in turn, can request further information about the messages that it receives (think RSS-style updates, but with more interaction). [strong]However[strong], instead of having the client poll the server for new messages, I'd like to have the client register itself with the server as a message listener. The server is currently implemented as a Web service on port X. I'd like the client to register itself with the server, and then receive messages on port Y.
    I'm considering a design like the following (note the directions of the inheritance arrows):
    ( Server class )  --<-- ( RemoteServerImpl class ) -->-- / RemoteServer interface /
           |
    ( Listener class ) --<-- ( RemoteListenerImpl class ) -->-- / RemoteListener interface /Some considerations:
    * In both cases, the client and server are broken out into an interface and two classes. The non-Remote classes implement all of the functionality. The RemoteX interfaces declare the methods that will be exposed via RPC, and the RemoteXImpl classes are empty subclasses of the non-Remote classes.
    * In order to register itself with the Server, the Listener must be passed in as a method parameter, and thus conform to the JAX-RPC specification for value types. However, value types can't implement java.rmi.Remote.
    * Only the Server and Listener know anything about each other.
    * This application can be run either remotely or locally, depending on how the Server and Listener are instantiated. For the latter, they're instantiated directly and the listener is registered with the Server. For the latter, the RemoteX interfaces will point to the service stubs.
    * I don't see an easy way to allow both the Server and the Listener to have references to each other (at least now without some casting magic), since one of them will have to conform to the value type specification, which requires that all of its fields must be valid JAX-RPC types.
    I've got the Server portions implemented and working, and am now going to turn to the Listener stuff. Can anybody see a fundamental problem with this design, or can suggest something better?

    Hi There,
    Because web services are fundamentally a Services-oriented architecture, and not an Object-oriented one, you are unable to pass objects by reference (only by value) hence the design decision to not allow rmi.Remote objects to be sent across the wire. The best way would be to abstract an object which does itself not represent a server, but a route to a server (lets call it ServerPointer). This must contain address, port, service info, etc.
    Now, in your Server class, create a factory method which takes a ServerPointer, and returns a reference to a
    remote server, e.g. protected Server createServer( ServerPointer p ) (using the necessary APIs to get such a reference)
    Hope this helps...

  • Any Function Module to get Service Conditions in Service Contracts???

    Hi All,
    I have created a function module inside which I have written BDC code for changing Service Contracts (ME32K).
    I have used Item_condition and item_cond_validity structures in Table parameters.
    For changing the conditions related to services, I need to know first which ones of those conditions were already there in the database for the contract and which ones are newly put in item_condition structure.
    Similar reqmnt I had for Services also, for which I got the FM - MS_FETCH_SPEC_FOR_LIST, wherein I am giving Package number from Ekpo and getting the services related to item. I need something similar for Conditions also.
    Is there any Function module wherein by giving the item and service info, I can get the conditions related to that particular Service? Or else any way using SAP std tables, I can get this info.
    Please respond if anyone has this info.
    Thanks a lot!
    Navita

    Hi Mukesh,
    Step 1. Use FM SO_USER_READ_API1 to get the folder details of the user
    Step 2. Use FM SO_FOLDER_READ_API1 of the respective folder. You can read the Inbox, Workflow Inbox depending on what folder you read. The function modules are documented well as well with examples.
    Hope this will  help u,
    Thanks & Regards
    Kiran

    Hi
    As Alpesh said, double check your Web Service Info. for AE Workflow URL:
    "http://host:port/AEWFRequestSubmissionService_5_2/Config1?wsdl&style=document"
    Also, check your Exit URI and credentials in CUP: "http://host:port/AEWFExitServiceWS_5_2/Config1?wsdl&style=document"

I am trying to figure out whether there is something in our configuration that may be aggravating the situation, and also see whether I might be able to improve the behavior of our client code.
    What I have done is purposely lower the service guardian's timeout, to about 25 seconds, so that a certain EntryProcessor will always time-out. The behavior I see after the timeout is very similar to the behavior we see when the problem crops up in the real world. I know that I can raise the timeout or use the PriorityTask API, but even if I do that, we may run into timeouts due to deadlock. If that happens, I want to know what I can expect the grid to do.
    Here's what I'm seeing:
    I am running 2 storage-enabled members with backup-count=0. I am running my "client" as a non-storage-enabled member.
    First, the client kicks off the EntryProcessor:
    Map<Object, Integer> readProcessorResult = requestCache.invokeAll(AlwaysFilter.INSTANCE, processor);
    The two members begin logging successful executions of the EntryProcessor. Then, one of the members happens to run it against an entry that takes longer than the service guardian's timeout. We get a soft and hard timeout:

    Could I be having problems because all my cluster members are executing the same kind of long-running EntryProcessor and all of them are getting service guardian timeouts at around the same time? How do I deal with that? For example, what if a database is running very slowly one day and my entry processors all start to execute slowly? I don't want my whole grid having problems. Should I, for example, limit the number of concurrent EntryProcessors to < count of grid members by using a LimitFilter?
    What does it mean that there was a timeout waiting for the cluster to stop?
    And what about the client? If I get an exception after running a grid command, is it valid to wait a few seconds for things to stabilize and then try again? What's my best bet as far as that goes?
    Thanks! And let me know if I should file a support request instead.

    I appreciate the responses so far, but unfortunately they give me no new information.
    I am aware that I can try to avoid timeouts by using the PriorityTask API and heartbeats, but that still gives me no guarantee that I will not run into a deadlock situation and encounter a timeout. That is fine as long as my grid can deal with it. Currently, it does not behave well when that happens (all members eventually die). I challenge anyone reading this post to try running an entry processor on their grid that is designed to time out (not by using sleep() as that is interruptable via a soft timeout). All your members will probably encounter the timeout at the same time, and it probably will not end well. If, however, you can handle this situation or have some approach that mitigates it, I would love to hear from you!
    I am also aware that I can disable the service guardians, or configure them to only log and take no action. However, this leaves me vulnerable to deadlocks.
    Therefore, I would still appreciate any responses that address either of these two issues:
    1. Configuration changes or other fixes that allow my members to recover successfully from a service timeout
    2. Operational best practices that allow my grid to continue running even if an entry processor that is running on every member of the grid times out at the same time. For example, limiting the number of concurrent entry processors.One operational best practice is design your system so you can't get into a deadlock. If it can get into a deadlock once, it can get into it many times. If a system does that, it is not a well-behaving or well-designed system.
    If your code can get into a deadlock across the cluster, that usually means that you are trying to do something which you should not have, like trying to operate on multiple resources in an arbitrary order while holding locks on them (e.g. violating the threading guidelines), which is the typical case of a distributed deadlock, and against which you can guard with ordering your multiple locking operations in a consistent order, but you should not expect Coherence to retry and possibly get into the same problem, as all you would achieve with it is that you converted the deadlock into a livelock.
    Coherence is not supposed to guard against your errors. With the guardian it gives you a way to find out what your error is, but it should not attempt the impossible by trying to correct it. You should design your system so that it does not have this kinds of errors.
    If you think there is a specific reproducible problem in how Coherence reacts to your code which can bring down the system, then create a test case and submit it in a SR. The kinds of exceptions you get make it possible that it may be necessary. If it is indeed Coherence's fault that it dies and not something you did, then I am fairly certain that it will be given quite high priority considering it is an error which can bring a cluster down.
    Coherence server-side constructs have an API contract. Single foremost aspect of that is that the operations complete without an error (unless otherwise documented) within a small period of time. If it goes against this then it has to provide feedback or customization with PriorityTask/GuardSupport. A code which can deadlock goes against this contract. After all we are speaking about a grid, not a distributed process manager.
    I agree that the grid should not die due to a deadlock, but you should not expect Coherence to fix a deadlock either. But dying due to an exception and having a distributed deadlock is two different and independent issues.
    Best regards,
    Robert
