Service intermittent past 24 hours

For last 24 hours service has been dropping frequently, loosing signal everything few minutes, when signal is there it appears normal.
Had bt infinity for almost 2months, first time this has happened, will reboot hub to see if that clears up,
A couple of pictures, of testing so far.

  • IPhone 5S "Searching..." for past 24 hours

My 8 month old iPhone 5S has been searching for a network for the past 24 hours so currently unable to make/receive any calls or texts. Have done a network reset, restarted the phone, removed and reinserted sim card but to no avail. It has happened on a couple of occasions but never for this length of time. Is this a network coverage issue or to do with my phone or sim card? Has anyone else had this problem?

    Hi Mai Hosny,
If you are having issues with your iPhone not being able to connect to service, you may want to try the troubleshooting steps in this article to resolve it -

  • Been without any phone service for over 8 hours

There is no way to report the outage online as the diagnostic does not show anything.  All of Chihuahua Valley in Warner Springs, California has not had phone service for over 8 hours and Verizon will not admit a problem despite numerous phone calls from friends who are outside the community and have phone service.  One of the neighbours was told there are no reports of an outage and was told that she could make an appointment for a tech to come out on the 15th!!!!!  Well if anyone at Verizon is reading this then get off your **bleep** and get this fixed.   951 767

I venture to say you have a Windows PC.
If so, before beginning the download try temporarily disabling your antivirus, anti-adware, anti-spyware, and any other anti-whatever that is required with the insecure OS your computer is running.

Running Mavericks OS on MacBookPro...had some hard crashes past 24 hours...forced reboots....now can't print anything from Office or Firefox.  Both crash during print dialog - changing printer causes instand crash.  My system printed fine before the crashes yesterday.  I can print from the Stickies app and safari printed fine.  I did a full Shutdown/restart and that didn't work.  Ideas on how to get PPT files to print again or print from firefox??

Then we it is 1:00 pm, I would like to see the date for 11:00, 12:00 and 1:00 - etc....
    thanks!

The formula works just fine in my report, all I can say is make sure that the database field is DATETIME and that the values do indeed have date time.

  • HT201250 Is there a way to change the intervals at which Time Machine performs backups (e.g., weekly instead of hourly or daily) past 24 hours, daily for the past month, and weekly for everything older...

Is there a way to change the intervals at which Time Machine performs backups (e.g., weekly instead of hourly or daily) past 24 hours, daily for the past month, and weekly for everything older...

You can edit the interval in Console or install a Pref Pane
called TimeMachineScheduler (Leopard or higher) free from:

  • HELP! iMac is FROZEN for past two hours.

imac is frozen for past two hours. I was doing a reinstall of the OS because mail searches were not working. I'm afraid of shutting off and restarting for fears of losing my hard drive which I understood would be ok except for a fresh install of system.
    WHat can I do?

If I'm recalling correctly, to disable extensions, boot up while holding down the shift key. You'll then be able to open the extensions manager to revert the set-up. After getting that airport issue resolved, then, due to the hard shutdowns, don't forget to run an os 9 disk utility to repair the hard drive prior to downloading any update.
You'll probably want to post additional questions to the OS 9 boards, here:

  • My Time Capsule/Time Machine has been showing Preparing Backup for past 48 hours  continuously!

My Time Capsule reported Full the other day.  I now have only 26.8MB of 497.96 GB available. Since then it seems to backing up continuously. The Time machine preferences window shows "Preparing Backup" andnothing else, and it has been doing so for at least past 48 hours.  Any ideas as to the problem?
    Stuartyboy

Yes, the problem is the drive is full.
If you have other files or TM back from other computers, TM on your computer having issues will not be able to delete enough to get sufficient space to backup.
Read how to clean up and delete parts of backups.. http://pondini.org/TM/FAQ.html
    Not a good idea though.
    Solution.
    1. Buy a new bigger TC.. cheaper (Than the original 500GB at least), faster and now the smallest is 2TB.
    2. Plug in a USB drive.. archive the TC.. then erase it and start a fresh set of backups.. April 1st great day to do it.
    3. Open up your old TC.. remove the 500GB drive and install a 2TB (if Gen1 a 3TB might even work). Google for how to do a hard disk upgrade.
Problem.. old power supply could die the day after and then the total cost would approach 1. Better to backup, wipe the 500GB and sell it on ebay and buy a new TC with 2 or even 3TB (2TB is better value IMHO).
    4. Plug in a USB drive .. formatted to HFS+ and use that as the target.
Very slow. much slower than the same drive plugged into your computer.

  • I have been trying to update my software for the past 3 hours. It just goes so far and stalls. I've never had this problem before, what am I doing wrong?

I have been trying to update my iPad2 for the past 3 hours. It just sets there doing very little and says its going to take 9 hours.  What am I doing wrong?  I've never had this problem before.  Also can I update from any other computer? Just in case it is my lap top.

Do you get any error messages ? If you get a network timeout error when downloading the update then try temporarily turning off all your firewall and antivirus software until the download has completed.
It's best to only update via your own computer, otherwise you risk losing all your iPad's contents - updating to iOS 5 wipes the iPad and then restores your backup. If you having problems downloading the update then you could try downloading the update file via a browser on another computer and then copying that file to your laptop for the actual update .

  • TS3992 I have a message that says  "This iPAD hasnt been backed up in 2 weeks.Backups happen when this  iPAD is plugged, locked, and connected to Wi-Fi". Its been plugged in and connected for the past 12 hours and every time I hit the ok button nothing hap

The iPAD has been plugged in,connected to wi-fi and locked for the past 12 hours now,how can I get into my iPAD everytime I hit the OK button it turns off? Any ideas on how to get past that?

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

I have been attempting to wipe/erase the iphone 4S I recently purchased...for the past 20 hours....I went to Reset in Settings and clicked on "Erase All Content and Settings"....At that point the phone the screen went dark except for a white circular symbol revolving - indicating something should be happening....
The instructions indicated that, depending on what needed to be erased, the process could take several hours. Even though the device had a Tom Tom application with all the maps of Europe etc (about 2GB) and there were several other apps on the device, it does not seem to me normal that the device would be still clearing into the next day - today!
    Can you please help!?

Something has gone wrong. Turn your phone off, then force it into recovery mode & restore it:
Press the Sleep/Wake button & Home button at the same time, keep pressing until your phone turns off, then release.
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off.

You haven't enabled VoLTE (Advanced calling) have you?  Not that it makes a difference just curious.
Have you upgraded to Lollipop yet?
Could be hardware or SIM card issue, read through this thread:
I can't make or take phone calls, but i can message and use data. Has this happened to anyone else? I've gone through three Samsung Galaxy S5's in the past three days, two of which have this problem and one just stopped working all together.
