Service Internal Subcontracting (Toll Processing)
Dear SAP Expert,
We have requirement that our sister company is doing subcontracting to us (toll manufacturing).
Basically our sister company is supplying us the main raw material and then
we add our company own material plus some overhead.
The problem is we need our company to recognize the COGS during we produce
in the same period.
Example: in April we produce 1000 CTN, we dispatch the goods to customer (sister company) 800,
we want to recognize the COGS on April based on 1000 CTN (not based on 800). The remaining
200 we just need to record quantity.
My question is:
- What is SAP best practice of internal subcont (toll manufacturing)?
- Any idea how to recognize COGS in produced quantity?
something cross in our mind is we sell all right after we produced and receive remaining qty in virtual Plant non valuated.
That means once 1000 CTN is produced we sell it immediately (to recognize 1000 CTN as COGS),
then remaining stock of 200 CTN (physical dispatched 800 CTN) we need to GR again in different plant (which is non valuated)
or
Is there any idea to simplify this process? :roll:

Dont worry.. Its quite a common scenario and I have myself implemented it in the past...
The main challenge in this case is that for your Company its a Non valuated stuff.. however, for the Sister Company, its a valuated stuff.... With right kind of settings, you can achieve it....
The way I have implemented is as below
1. Use MTO scenario where Sales Order is the CO object...
2. IMG Settings
a. Create a requirement class in IMG > CO > Prod Cost Contr > Cost Obj Contr > Product cost by Sales order > Control of Sales-Order-Related Production/Product Cost by Sales Order > Check Req Class
Assign Account Assignment Catg = E; Valuation Field = Blank; And a Settlement Profile
b. Assign this requirement class to your requirement type and hand it over to your SD guy... The SD guy needs to assign this Req Type to his item category and always determine this Item category in the Inter Company Sub contracting Sales order...
Its advisable you create a separate sales order type for it
3. Process
a. Create a Sales order in Company A (Company B is the Sister Concern)
It may have 2 materials i.e. One material will be the FG and another will be service material for Sub contracting charges
b. Receive the raw material supplied by Company B against the sales order... Mvt Type 501 E.... (This would receive the stock in your books as Non valuated i.e. @ Zero value)
c. Create a Production order for the FG associated with the Sales order.. (CO08)
d. Issue the goods to the prod order / Confirm the operations
e. Do the GR from prod order... The GR will be Non valuated in Company A.... Only Qty will be updated in the stock.. No Value
f. At period end, settle the Prod order upon sales order.... With this, the total cost of 1000 will be settled to Sales order
g. Do the billing, which will also post to the Sales order....
h. Settle the sales order from VA88... This will settle the total cost of 1000 CNT to COPA....
4. Ensure that the Item Category / Req Class you use in this process for Company A, should not be used for Company B.. Else, it would also be treated as Non valuated GR in Company B as well

I have developed a struts 1.1 based webapplication which runs fine on
weblogic 7 (for one year in production), tomcat 4.1,5 and others but
refuses to function in weblogic 8.1 sp2!

I keep getting the annoying error as listed, and the server also keeps reporting
that I can only connect from 0 unique ip addresses. Has anybody else seen these
type of frustrations on 8.1 sp2, or can explain them.
With as much detail omitted for simplicity;
Frustration 1.
I have a 8sp2 server running all ok, occasionally after a redeploy of an ear file
I attempt to load a jsp file, and the error below is thrown.
The JSP has a bean which is session based, and as from following the stack trace
it is around some weblogic code which tests if my license allows access to the
http session (on a developer license). I then have to start another server instance
and do a deployment of a v.simple war, and access this, then deploy the same war
to the broken server and access that, then the initial jsp works fine. no code
changes just environment stops, starts and redeploys!
Frustration 2
Server runs ok, tray and connect from two machines (I have an ldap server that
wants to 'broadcast' messages to my server), error of too many connections.
The ip connection issues can in most cases be removed with a server restart.

This variable can be used by protocols for enforcing a time-based limit on process-switching runs. For instance, when the IP Input process has the hand to process some packets in the input queue, it will not do it for more than this period of time before giving back the hand. The default time is 300 ms.
The command has been removed from CLI in later versions of code , which also generated

Service internal is used to enable to execute hidden commands such as inbuilt sniffer etc.
You do not need both these commands in your configuration. -

I need ur expert comments on TOLL Processing..The business procedure is as follows.
1. Customer will supply RM to XYZ company for slitting/painting etc... (coils can be on 57F4 or on duty paid basis).
2. Coils will be received at XYZ company as nonvaluated stock.
3. Those will be processed in manufacturing lines to convert into FG.
4. FG will be sent back to customer with proper documents.
5. Billing will be for service charges + paint used in case of painting.
Now i want to know how to map this scenario into SAP..
If someone has proper business document on the same then kindly share it.

SAP ECC 6.0Hi,
Pls proceed as follows:
1.Creat an order type -ZTOL
2.Creat an item category-ZTOL
3.Assign the schdule line "CP" (MRP)
Once order will be created for customer the system will creat on planned order against the sales order.This planned order will be converted in production order using tcode COR7 (and MD04).
The production team shall produce FG(Nonvaluated) ,the raw material received and any other material of own stock i.e. consumed from buyer would be part of BOM for FG.
Once FG will be produced the same will be billed to customer and pricing will be only for charges etc if any.
Hope it would clarify the proces mapping.

Adaptive RFC 2 gives error: com/sap/ide/jco/service/internal/R3Service
Hi,
I've run into the following problem about NWDS. This happens as I create a Model. It appears there is a new version of the Adaptive RFC Model, which is called Adaptive RFC 2 Model.
1. Right click on Models, and select Create.
2. Double Click on Adaptive RFC 2 Model
3. The error pops up. It says "An error has occurred. See error log for more details. java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError". Then if you click details you get "An error has occurred. See error log for more details. com/sap/ide/jco/service/internal/R3Service "
If you know which log to have a look, or what this error is about please let me know urgently. Any help if much appreciated.

HI all,
I ran into a problem with one of the servers in my DAG. Due to a backup failure, the log partition filled up and the Exchange database went offline on this particular server. The DAG continued to function on the other server. So this particular
DB01 had only some test accounts in it so I removed the database copy. Unfortunately the removal must not have completed correctly.
After recovering the needed space in the partition, I tried to recopy the database and it failed. So I deleted the entire database from the active server and it successfully removed it from the active server. Now on both the servers the database
is not showing, however I'm receiving the error below which indicates to me that the service still thinks the database exists. I am also getting event 4113 Database redundancy health check failed for the database copy as it shows there is only one copy
of the database (failed redundancy) but there should be zero copies.
This database no longer exists in AD as I have verified this with ADSI so it must have something on the exchange server that is still telling the service the database exists.
Can you point me to the location to clean this up?

This error occurs because the MailboxReplicationService (MRS) currently caches Mailbox Database information past the lifetime of some databases.
Restarting the service will clear the cache.
Maybe it is the simplest way to solve it.
If it doesn’t work, you can try cmd to check it.
Get-MailboxDatabase : Can you find the database which you delete?
Remove-MailboxDatabase -Identity "MyDatabase": You can try to delete database if you can see the database. -
Hello all,
We migrated our Exchange server from 2003 to 2010. After the mailbox move requests were finished we had one that was stuck. We basically skipped it as we had a lot of other things to finish over the weekend. Here we are a year later, the old exchange server
is gone and so is an old DC. I am receiving an error every four minutes in event viewer.
The Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Replication service was unable to process a request due to an unexpected error.

I have checked in EMC for move requests. None are listed. I have checked the DCs listed in EMC properties. Old DC is not listed.
I also ran these commands in shell to attempt to cancel the stuck request.
Get-MoveRequest -MoveStatus Completed;Pending;InProgress;Failed;CompletedWithWarning;Suspended;Queued;CompletionWithProgress : Remove-MoveRequest
NO changes. Still throwing error. Any suggestions? I also tried using the guid and shell to look at the move request. Systems replies no such request.Hello,
Please try to restart iis services to check the result.
If the issue persists, I recommend you ping you DC server on your exchange server to check if your exchange server can communicate with your DC server.
If there are other DCs, please try to use set-adserversettings cmdlet to specify a DC for your exchange server.
Set-AdServerSettings

We have a multi domain parent child AD domain infrastructure and now we upgraded our exchange from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013. Since last few days, we see the below error on the mailbox server event viewer.
EVENT ID : 1121
The Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Replication service was unable to process a request due to an unexpected error.
Request GUID: '93a7d1ca-68a1-4cd9-9edb-a4ce2f7bb4cd'
Database GUID: '83d028ec-439d-4904-a0e4-1d3bc0f58809'
Error: An Active Directory Constraint Violation error occurred on <domain controller FQDN>. Additional information: The name reference is invalid.
This may be caused by replication latency between Active Directory domain controllers.
Active directory response: 000020B5: AtrErr: DSID-0315286E, #1:
Our Exchange setup is in parent domain, but we keep on getting this error for various domain controllers in each child domain in the same site. We then configured one of the parent domain domain controller on Exchange. Still we are getting this error for
the configured parent domain DC.
Verified the AD replication and there is no latency or pending stuffs.
Any support to resolve this issue will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

In addition to Ed's suggestion, I would like to clarify the following things for troubleshooting:
1. Please restart IIS at first.
2. If the issue persists, please ping your DC on your Exchange server to check if Exchange can communicate with DC.

Since demoting a child domain a few days ago, Exchange 2013 is still trying to contact it and as a result generating errors in the application event logs. I had a similar problem which I solved by removing some old migration batches, now I have a problem

Process Microsoft.Exchange.Directory.TopologyService.exe (PID=2280). Exchange Active Directory Provider could not find an available domain controller in domain admin.riddlesdown.local. This event may be caused by network connectivity issues or
configured incorrectly DNS server.
The domain doesn't exist in AD Sites and Services, I have removed all traces from DNS but this is still occurring. When I run Get-ADServerSettings | fl it reports no trace of the domain or a DC that was previously in it.
How can I stop these events occurring and is it likely to be causing something else not to work correctly.

The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.admin.riddlesdown.local
Common causes of this error include the following:
- The DNS SRV records required to locate a domain controller for the domain are not registered in DNS. These records are registered with a DNS server automatically when a domain controller is added to a domain. They are updated by the domain controller
at set intervals. This computer is configured to use DNS servers with following IP addresses:

To form the wsdl url, copy the Endpoint URI configured to the proxy service(just click on the proxy service in the console) from the sbconsole - /ATHGPUM_GlidePathService/ProxyService/ATHGPUM_GlidePathProxyService
Pre append <<protocol://OSB Hostname:OSB Port>> - http://localhost:8000/ and post append with ?WSDL
The final WSDL url look like - http://localhost:8000/ATHGPUM_GlidePathService/ProxyService/ATHGPUM_GlidePathProxyService?WSDL
