Service Key in customization of MSS - To enable org chart to be viewed

Dear experts,
I would like to get the details of Service key of the Organizational Chart Launcher application configured in the SAP back-end system - Nakisa. Where can we get the service key details about Nakisa
The service key is required to be specified in portal iview - What is this service key with respect to Nakisa.
Thanks & Regards
HKishan

Dear Luke,
I have completed the portal configuration - The scenario for Nakisa implementation that we are trying to achieve is as follows:
A manager u2013 utilizing Manager Self-Service (MSS) in the SAP Enterprise Portal u2013 selects an organizational chart display link in the browser, which initiates data extraction from the SAP system. The extracted data is then passed via  HR-OCI 6.0 to the third-party vendoru2019s organizational charting application (Nakisa).. Using this data, the third-party vendoru2019s application builds an organizational chart for displaying a graphic representation.
User clicks on the link in portal and the data corresponding to his org unit and the org units below his org unit is got from sap via  HR-OCI 6.0 to the third-party vendoru2019s organizational charting application (Nakisa). -> This is displayed as org chart in Nakisa --> Am i correct in this understanding - Is this possible ?
Thanks & regards

  • Are Service Keys are some BAPI/RFC?

    Hello Experts,
I am going through some material on implementing Ess/MSS in SAP ERP HCM and it somwhere says as the Service Key. For e.g. the Service KEy for Personal Dat aiView is EMPLOYEE_PERSINFO_PERSDATA05. Is this servie key is some backend table service where the data has been stored? And can I call this service key EMPLOYEE_PERSINFO_PERSDATA05 in some other application...say WD application if it's BAPI/RFC?
Please clarify this doubht..that will be really helpful.
    Thanks, RN

    Hi,
This is the FM which gets called to render the Area page in the ESS role
    HRXSS_GET_MENUDATA
Within this FM you can find the related FMs to read the Services.
And the table where you can find the entries is V_T7XSSSER
To find the exact table navigate to below location
    IMG-> Cross Application Components -> Homepage Framework->Services->Define Services-> Define
Services (Add Entries) -> select print button and see the table V_T7xss*
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,

  • Web services (eprint and Apps) could not be enabled

just opened my new HP officejet pro 8600 and trying to enable web service and I received the following error: web services (eprint and Apps) could not be enabled.  I have no idea how to debug this issue.
    Any help out there?

They are the same, however be advised that anything that is pending in the queue will be gone, as well as your current custom email address. You will have to readd the printer with a new info page, and use a different custom email address.

  • Initializing LdapContext with custom kerberos service key

I use sasl kerberos authentication to access my ldap server (openldap). But when using JNDI, the client figures out the kerberos key for it self by a reverse DNS lookup.
If I connect to ldap server ldap.my.server and the DNS says the ip of ldap.my.server has a differend domain name on a reverse lookup, say longnumbered.domain.name. So, it wil access the kerberos key ldap/longnumbered.domain.name@DOMAIN and not lda/ldap.my.ser@DOMAIN.
Is there a way to tell the JNDI client to use a different service key and not the one generated whit a reverse DNS lookup?

Would also be interested in an answer on this as JNDI / GSSAPI appears to fail if DNS forward / reverse is not set correctly.

  • Proxy Class in Service Key

    Hello,
i need to view the code underneath the proxy class "CL_BENEFITS_AREAPAGE" which is present in the service key for Benefits Open enrollment. I believe there is a url in this class that is currently pointing to the standard ess role which i need to redirect to my custom ess role.
any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
    Sunil

    Hi
    This class contains three methods.
    IF_XSS_SER_PROXY_SERVICE~GET_SERVICES
    IF_XSS_SER_PROXY_SERVICE~GET_SERVICE_DATA
    IF_XSS_SER_PROXY_SERVICE~SET_CONTEXT_PARAMETERS
GET_SERVICE_DATA method contains FM HRXSS_SER_READTABRE which has a importing parameter. For more details please goto SE24 transaction and check the proxy class.
    Thank you.

  • Service key

I am trying to connect to the internet at a small company where I am working they have given me a wireless password and the type of connection is WEP, but they have a service key of 3 and I don't see anywhere in the settings I can put a service key in.  Has anyone delt with this before?

No, they have given me a password and this is in addition to the password.  There IT guy is in California and I am at their office in Texas.  My co-worker has a windows compluter and was able to find it in his settings, but I can't see anything the the mac settings.  He changed the security key from a 1 to a 3 in a drop down toggle.

i lost my iphone 4 last night and its not reachable assuming someone took out the sim.. so can i or my network company track the iphone which is not reachable through assuming location services and find my phone apps are enabled?

No. Find My Phone is the only way to locate any lost iPhone. However, this requires that Find My Phone be turned on/activated before the phone was lost, and the phone must have an Internet connection. If your phone is turned off, does not have an Internet connection, or has been restored, there is no way to locate it.

Create a role for MSS users and then assign required RFC authorization. Assign this to your test user.
For testing purposes its a good idea to use custom role to ensure you take care of authorization at time of config/developments.
    This should help.

  • Warning: Full-text change tracking is currently enabled for table or indexed view 'fim.ObjectValueString'

    Hi,
As per the FIM best practice guide, we are trying to disable full-text indexing on the FIM Service database, during the initial load using:
ALTER FULLTEXT INDEX ON [fim].[ObjectValueString] SET CHANGE_TRACKING = MANUAL
ALTER FULLTEXT INDEX ON [fim].[ObjectValueXml] SET CHANGE_TRACKING = MANUAL
However, we get the following warning:
Warning: Full-text change tracking is currently enabled for table or indexed view 'fim.ObjectValueString'
Does anyone know how we can solve this?
    Regards,
    SK

    <Going through old threads>
This doesn't disable change tracking it merely sets it to manual.
The link below shows and explains the three settings (enabled, manual and disabled):

my keyboard on macbook pro (laptop) is acting weird. One key is not responding at all. Have verified using Keyboard viewer and some other keys are printing the unresponsive character at random. "z" is the unresponsive character.
Is it a damaged keyboard ?
The laptop is just 2 months old, will Apple replace it with a new one if its indeed a damaged keyboard or just repair, I use it for official purposes so being without a laptop is not much of an option.

No one here works for Apple, so we don't know what Apple might or might not do.  If it's a genuine defect, they will of course repair it under warranty.  It is not their responsibility if it effects your ability to work or not, so that's on you.
If, however, they determine that the key is problematic as a result of your misuse of the laptop, then everything is on you.  And trust me, if they find a glob of dried up beer or coffee there, they will charge you.
Your only choice is to take it in for repair.

  • How to deal with Fixed Assests in Process Enabled Orgs?

How to deal with Fixed Assests in Process Enabled Orgs
We have a Process Organization - Food Industry , We are implimenting the Process Manufacturing . But we also have plenty of machines etc i.e. Fixed assets.
Can any one suggest how to deal with this Process Org, So that i dont need to create another Discrete Org only for Fixed Assets.
Also note that EAM is also in scope in the next Phase, Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

    Hi
There is no possiblity of making your Process enabled Org as EAM enabled, and you must have to create a Discrete Org where in you can make this as EAM enabled.
In R12/11i Process Enabled items/inventory items are dealt with only process, and that is the reason we can maintain an Assest item to Process enabled org which is a constriant. Hence it is adviced that, create an Inv Org (Discrete) and Enable this for EAM.
    Hope this is clear.

If i have only the table view , scrolling down works fine ( since that is the scroll on the table view). But if i have the image as well on the View, scrolling down in not working.
can any pls tell me how to enable the scroll at the view level. i am missing something here.
