The SAP Service Marketplace contains a variety of target group specific internet portals that enable true collaboration among SAP, its customers and partners. You need to have a unique login and password to access the contents. For onbtaining a password, either youshould be an sap customer or partner.
On-line Service System that helps in users to get fast and effective help from SAP. The user may log-in to OSS system to find a possible solution for a 'bug'. Get the patch ,if any, download and apply to correct the problem.

Service Not Listed in SAP Service Marketplace

Helllo All,
Due to mixed system information in the registration details stored for one our Solution Manager services I deleted the information that was stored in SAP Service Marketplace and successfully re-registered the service with the correct details yesterday.
However, the service (SID) is now not present in SAP Service Marketplace when I search for it and as such SAP can not connect to the service and I can not raise messages against it. Prior to deleting the Service it was present.
Please could someome advise what needs to be done to ensure the service is re-listed within SAP Service Marketplace.
Do I need to contact a specific department / contact within SAP to accept the re-registration of the service ?

Hello,
I think you should open an OSS message (using another system SID), under component XX-SER-SAPSMP. They should help you to set the services related to your installation properly.

Where do I find the DB2 9.7 Installation DVD on Service Marketplace????

Hey Folks -
GOSH I MISS sapserv4!!!! We are licensed for DB2 - UDB (I checked with my rep.) I have looked high and low on service marketplace and can't find the Install DVD for the 9.7 version. I need to build 4 ERP systems ASAP for a system migration - iSeries OS/400 to AIX DB2 and can not find the DVD for download. All I can find is the UDB Client software.
Can someone please provide the path for me? I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Ok, so I assume you've licensed the db direct from IBM. If that's the case you can download the DB2 install DVD's and license files from the IBM web site, talk to your sales/hardware rep about getting access.
BUT....
Please be aware you should always get your DB2 fix packs direct from SAP. SAP often get a few extra, SAP Specific, fixes bundled ontop of the standard IBM released fix pack. These then get labeled something like 'Fix Pack 3 SAP' on SAP websites to denote they have extra fixes.
Basically you need to get SAP to give you access to download DB2 software from the SMP (see previous links), then always get your software from there, but get your license files from the IBM site. This way you always install the SAP build/tested db2 releases but have the IBM license you've actually paid for applied to it.

OSS note 1135038 not available on SAP service marketplace

Hi,
I am unable to get OSS note 1135038 from SAP service marketplace. When I try to open it I get the message 'The requested SAP Note is either in reworking or is released internally only'.
Can somebody help?

Did you get this note number today by searching in SAP support portal?
It is either abandoned, or applies to one customer (only the customer is able to see it), or SAP is maintaining it and you should wait. Open a message if you have an express need, or if this note is in rework status since many days.

Service Marketplace Complexity and Problems

I'm posting this message simply to report a few problems I have with the SAP Service Marketplace that I think needs to be adressed rather rapidly.
The Service Marketplace is so big that even after many months in it, I'm still feeling a bit lost. And I don't seem to be the only one: even SAP people that actually maintains the site seems lost in it too!
For example: If you open what I consider to be the BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 patches, (Menu Bar --> 'Downloads', 'Business Objects Downloads', 'Service Packs, Hot Fixes, Samples, and Utilities' and search for BusinessObjects XI 3.1 'Hot Fixes') they stop at FixPack 1.3, leading you to think that this is the currently highest available FixPack for BO. But - if you look for them using a different approach, you find that FixPack 1.6 is already available!
'SAP Software Distribution Center' --> (In the grey bar left hand side of the screen) 'Download' -->
(still in the same grey bar) 'Support Packages and Patches' --> (Once more in that bar) 'Search for Support Packages and Patches'.
And finally, in the search screen, search for 'Enterprise', and voilà! FixPack 1.6.
The FixPack 1.5 for Windows will not download, the file seems corrupt and the 'SAP Download Manager' loops trying to fetch it. I called the support team regarding this, but I was in a hurry and couldn't take the required 30 mins back then to open a support message, so it's still broken today if I try again to get it. I guess not many customers have found that file yet... no one seem to have complained that the download link is broken!
One last problem: Where are the 'Supported Platforms' documents?? Even in the PDF's for XI 3.1, the links still points towards the sadly now defunct 'www.businessobjects.com' website. It took me a google search to find them, since I couldn't find any links on either the Service Marketplace or the Help Portal to them.

I hope you can accept these comments as positive criticism, there are lots of great things about SAP's BusinessObjects Portal, I'm just trying to help remove the irritating parts.

SSO to Service Marketplace?

I installed an EP6 SP2 with SSO to our R/3, BW and CRM system with logon tickets, it works fine. Now I tryed to connect the SAP Service Marketplace with user mapping. I created a system from com.sap.portal.howtos.webapp.WebApplication and than an iview.
I filled in "URL Template": http://<Authentication>@service.sap.com/inbox
and "URL template fraction for user mapping": <MappedUser>:<MappedPassword>
It seems to work but I don't like the password in the URL. Is there any other possibility for this?

Unable to read data from the SAP Service Marketplace issue

Good morning, experts.
I´ve just installed the SAP Download Manager, but I can´t get connected to Marketplace.
First I tried downloading a file I could see in my Basket Download. Then I deleted it from the basket so I could test only the connection. In both situations I got the same error message: "Unable to read data from the SAP Service Marketplace (...)".
It is probably due to wrong settings, but I can´t figure it out. My settings are:
Address: https://websmp205.sap-ag.de/
User name: S0005951541
Password: (my password)
Proxy (my proxy settings)
Any ideas?

I can see my download basket online. I realize I didn´t delete the items so I could test purely the connection. I am going to do it again.
I found out I dind´t have permission to download those items, and with the right permission I could download them directly online.
As long as I have more information I am going to repost this issue on a new forum.

We have created Service PO - Repairing of AC Machine.    and Service Tab we maintained 10 line items of Parts Qty with Rate.
and we maintained Local Frieght Charges in Header Condition.     upto This stage ALL OKey.
while making MIRO / Service Entry Sheet.   the Local Fridht charges calulating on no of Line Items.
Example ; Local Frieght   : 10000/-     no of line item 10   then showing 10000 x 10 = 10,0000/-
how it will be solved. please guide me...

Your question is not clear, if you can explain the requirement little more clearly.
Delivery costs are generally not supported in external services
management and in case of blanket purchase orders, item category D or B.
Instead of representing delivery costs via conditions, in case of
service documents, freight costs and other, SAP recommends to add in
additional service lines. Check the OSS Note: 381030 and Note 499575
There is no problem to post
invoice for different vendor for particular SES created for service
line that constitutes delivery costs.

Hi Joan,
To deploy an SCA or SDA, proceed as follows:
      1. Make sure you have downloaded the SCA or SDA from SAP Service Marketplace.
      2. Start the SDM GUI. To do this, execute the following file:
            a) Windows: RemoteGui.bat in folder \usr\sap\<SID>\<instance>\SDM\program
            b) Unix: RemoteGui.sh in folder /usr/sap/<SID>/<instance>/SDM/program
      3. The SDM GUI screen appears.
      Note: With SAP Web Application Server 6.30 the SDM server is started whenever you start the SAP system. To check whether the SDM server is running, use the tools SAP Management Console (Windows) or jcmon (UNIX).
      4. Choose "SDM Gui -> Login" or the icon "Connect to SDM Server". The dialog box "Enter Login Information for SDM Server" appears.
      5. Enter the following information:
            a) Password
            The initial password is "sdm" (without quotes).
            b) User description (optional)
            c) Hostname
            d) Port
            With instance number 00, the default port number is 50018. If your instance number is different from 00, the port number changes to
            Port = 50018 + 100 x <instance number>.
            You have to calculate the new port number and enter it manually.
      6. Choose "Login". The SDM GUI appears.
      7. Choose tab "Deployment".
      8. Choose "Add SCA/SDA to Deployment List (Local File Browser)". A file selection screen appears.
      9. Select the SCA or SDA file you would like to deploy and choose "Next" to read the information on the following screens.
      10. Choose "Next" until the "Start" button appears.
      11. Choose "Start". After the SCA or SDA has been completely deployed, a success message appears.
      12. Choose "Confirm" to return to the SDM GUI.
      13. When you have finished work, log out from the SDM server. Choose "Deployment -> Logout" or the icon "Disconnect from SDM server" for this.

Could not get access to download area on SAP Service Marketplace

Hi All,
When trying to download the SAP Mobile Execution for Motorola software in the download center in the Application and User Management work center, I get the following error message:
"Could not get access to download area on SAP Service Marketplace."
I have also search for this software in the Service Marketplace, but to no avail.
I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of where I can download this software, or ideally the cause and solution to this error message.

Issue might be due to incorrect data in the system i.e., license codes assigned to your contract may be invalid or expired or Contract/ order is blocked due to payment issues.
These information has to be checked in detail.

Hi Raghav,
Believe it or not, it is easy to get the access to download but it might not be easy for your company due to legal reasons.
You can request authorization through your SAP account executive (your SAP sales person!). Download of software is part of the SAP license you have with SAP. You probably wil have to talk to your company's SAP contract contact before talking to SAP.
The reason for this is that there are some different legal issues about downloading software in different country (taxing and asset accounting can be different for physical and downloadable software).
