Service Master and the price

Hi ALL,
Here i have 2 different services ( service masters). I am maintaiong the price for these service items. However the cost of these service items is actually based on some other parameters e.g.
"Form a Slab" and "Form a Column" are 2 different services. Both has cement and the labour cost as cost components. When I change the cost of cement, we want that the cost of both the services should change based on the cement component in them.
How can we map this. Does Model Service specification or SSC will help for this?
Regards,
Prashant

Hi
If you mainatin the condition type for cement in the PO line item Conditions tab instead of services then this will effect both the services in the PO line item.
Thanks & Regards
Kishore

  • Advantages of Service Master and service acceptance sheet

    Hi,
I want to know the Pros and cons of Service master and service acceptance sheet for preparing a document.
Pl give me your views on this.
    Regards,
    R. Dillibabu.

    Dear Dillibabu,
When you create a service master you avoid repetetive data entry efforts as again and again you do not require keying in the same text for services which can be volumunous. Also you have the option to group the services using the service/material group which can be done in service master. Also you have the option to assign valuation class in the service master for account determination purpose.
When you do the service entry it is just like the Goods receipt even in the back ground a material document is create with movement type 101 which you can see in the PO history. The biggest advantage of using the service entry is the financial implication. When service entry is done A g/l account for ex service account is debited and GR/IR is credited. Which is then cleared at Invoice posting and liability created towards vendor.
If you do not do a service entry you will have to track these manually as to services of what value is performed and inform to finance.
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks and regards,
    Siddharth

  • I am trying to open a service request and the site does not work.

I am trying to open a service request and the site does not work with ANY browser. I get the page https://getsupport.apple.com/GetParts.action which says "Send in for service. We just need a little more information." The continue button does not work. I've seen this problem before trying to file support requests. It's as if Apple simply does not want you to create requests.

I just went through several screens and had no problems.  Try clearing your browser's cache and/or history.

  • SERVICE  PO using service master and service PO using Material Type DIEN

Dear Gurus can you differenciate between SERVICE  PO using service master and service PO using Material Type DIEN ?
    Regards
    Vinod Suresh Kakade

    Hi,
Material type DIEN is used for when you offer "SERVICE" to your customer.
When you are procuring "SERVICE" from your vendor, you can use external service management where service master is used (Steps are PO created in ME21N with Item Cat. "D" with Acc. ***. Cat. "K" or "C", ML81N, MIRO & F-53).
In Standard DIEN material type designed for Sales usage only, but you can use DIEN for Purchase also to avoid External Services Management.

  • Web Services, Schemas, and the xsi:type attribute

    Hi List,
I have several questions reqarding web services, schemas, and the use of the xsi:type
    attribute in messages.
    Schemas:
Q1: How complex can a web service schema be?
Q2: Is it reasonable for a schema to contain derived types by extension [1]?
Q3: Could you use the International Purchase Order Schema [2] with a web service?
    xsi:type
Q1: Is it reasonable for a web service to use the xsi:type attribute in the message(s)?
If I am interpreting Section 4.1.15 of the BasicProfile-1.0a [3] correctly, this
appears to be appropriate in certain circumstances.
Q2: When is it appropriate to use the xsi:type attribute? If a schema contains
derived types by extension [1]? If a schema contains xsd:anyType?
Q3: How does using the xsi:type attribute affect interoperability?
    And finally,
Q4: Are there any examples available demonstrating the use of the xsi:type attribute

  • I use internode and imap. When the ipad deletes emails it also removes them from the mac. How can I reverse this so the mac is the master and the ipad is the slave?ipa

I use internode and imap. When the ipad deletes emails it also removes them from the mac. How can I reverse this so the mac is the master and the ipad is the slave?

Thanks for the info. - I now know that deletion works both ways!! - (unlike POP where emails deleted from the ipad also deleted them from the mac even before I could read them,  whereas emails deleted from the mac were not removed from the ipad!!! - ie. the ipad was the master over the mac - the slave).  Prior to changing to imap I used to transfer all nongarbage emails from inbox to mailboxes before my husband could ask if he could delete emails on his ipad. I have noticed however if you do this in imap, they are removed from the inbox on the ipad as well (this did not happen with POP). So we still have to check but the number is less so we like imap better than POP.
    Thank again

  • Service Master and Material Master relation

    Hi Friends,
Our client requirement is to procure and sale same services.
and client wants to post the services to different G/L accounts for ex: if I am raising a sale order or Purchase order,
then for each different service line item to be posted to different G/L accounts.
Initially I thought of creating the service master with different valuation classes but when the same thing comes to sales then with service master they cannot create the sale order.
Hence kindly advice in this case whether to go with the service master creation and create the PO's with the service masters
or   go with the creation of material master with the services material type with different valuation classes?
    Thanks in Advance.
    regards,
    Sasi Kanth J

    Hi,
For services the concerned entries have to be maintained in table T030.
The system will then suggest the G/L accounts as per the valuation class
maintained in table T030 (Standard Accounts Table, transaction OBYC).
    The system will determine the
G/L account depending on the following criteria:
    T001K-BWMOD
    BKLAS
    T001-KTOPL
    T163K-KOMOK
Services level is one level below materials, which results in
some inherent restrictions compared to materials. In case of
services the values have to be maintained in the table T030.

  • Service master and  material type 'service'

    Hi everybody.
I am a bit confused about "Service"
There is a service master that we can use to store and procure service.
Also we can use material master to store 'service' using material type 'service' and procure service in that way.
I want to know what is the difference between the two ? When shall I use what ?

    Hi
If you do not want to use 'External Service Management', you can use materials of type Service (DIEN).
This will be similar to any other account assigned material PO with free text. Instead of using free text, you are using material master and also helps you in identifyign service purchases from other material purchases. You will not use item category 'D' in this case. You do GR here.
Service masters are used when you use item category 'D' ('External Service Management'). There are additional flexibility of defining service specifications, service outlines, using service entry sheet etc here.
    Best regards
    Ramki

  • Service Master unit wise price

    Hi friends
In one service master i want to maintain different unit rates like as
    1 meter = 10 rs ,,  4 meters = 10 rs,, 6 mtr = 12 like i ll map to SAp
how this senario map to SAP and this service process will goto MIRO

    hii
Its easy to do servcie order .. Pls dot make it complicated.
Because , here u are not going to purchase any material , only service u r going to do.
While doing service PO u can mention approximate value of total service .
Then once u cpmplete the whole service , what ever it may be , whethere , one sheet or 3 sheets , or ,.,.etc what u wnated to do the service u do the service .
Final u'll come to know how mucha service has been done , by the servicer.
Right , so here according do the service entry sheet and payment to the particuklar service .
    Revert any clarification

  • How to make one Mac the "master", and the other Macs "secondary"?

When using ISync to my DotMac account, and using three or four Macs all synching to one DotMac account, is it possible to designate one particular Mac to be the "most important" or "parent" Mac, and then all others, (laptops), be less important?
I just want the Address Book on the main machine, the G5 Desktop, to always take precedence, and never get overwritten in any way, by a less refined Address Book on a laptop traveling machine.
    Thank you.

iSync (or rather .Mac Sync is what you are referring to) does not work like that.
There is no master and slave relationship in synchronising. All devices are equal and all devices sync their data to all other devices equally. That is what true synchronising is.
What you are proposing is not synchronising - it is a simple copy and replace operation from one source, and the SyncServices framework is not designed for that.
The whole point of synchronising is to get away from having a Master data source. You can change data on ANY device (Mac, phone or PDA) and the changes will be synced to all other devices.

  • Condition Type PR00 on materials and the price

    Hi,
When I try to create a Sales Order by using VA01, in the item level, I am inputting the material number, quantity and profit center. Then when I select the same line and click on item conditions, automatically, condition type PR00 and the and amount is getting defaulted. However, for certain other materials when I click on item conditions, no condition type PR00 is being picked up. I need to manually input PR00 and the amount.
My question, I would like to know if there is any report available which shows, which materials are automatically defaulted with PR00 and what is the price automatically defaulted. I would also like to know, which are the materials are not automatically defaulted with PR00. (the cases where required to enter manually).
I am looking for any report or query etc.
    Thanks in advance.

    Adding to Shiva's comments...
The value for PR00 will be determined in the order only if the system could find a valid condition record exisitng. I guess, the condition type PR00 has been configured as...with value 'B - Automatic entry has priority' for the field Manual Entries. You can check the same using Tcode V/06. You are entering the values in the sales order item level for PR00 if the system fails to find a valid condition record. As Shiva mentioned, you can check the existing Condition records using the transaction V/LD for the report '15-Material Price'.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

  • Service master and service description

    Hi,
*Why we are maintain service master ? Why only we don't maintain description in PO*
Because account determination possible through material group valuation class.
    Why we maintain service master?
    *Regards*

    Hi
Using Service masters is mainly for reporting and good use of Service Masters.
You can later run reports to show you how much you spend on a certain service.
    Many Thanks

  • Machine Translation Service Applicatrion and the MicroSoft Translator Hub

    Hi
So we are looking at setting up Machine Translation SA and the steps according to TechNet appear to be
1 - Create the Service App
    2 - Configure it
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj553772.aspx
I can't see in the configuration any reference to where it goes to on the internet to do the translations. Does this have to be configured separately? Does it go somewhere by default unless otherwise configured?
At the bottom of the article it states "You can configure the Machine Translation Service to use the custom translation system by passing the category ID in the
    MachineTranslationCategory parameter."
What does the Machine Translation service use if you don't configure a custom translation system using the Translation hub?
    Thanks
    J

    Hi Jon,
If you set the Machine Translation Service Application to use “Use default internet settings” in Online Translation Connection section, then the requests will be sent to the cloud-hosted machine translation service.
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/wbaer/archive/2012/11/12/introduction-to-machine-translation-services-in-sharepoint-2013.aspx
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj163145%28v=office.15%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
When the Machine Translation Service application processes a translation request, it forwards the request to the
Microsoft Translator cloud-hosted machine translation service, where the actual translation work is performed.
And the Microsoft Translator service has its own translation systems to do the translation work.
    Thanks,
    Victoria Xia
