Service OracleSOL102iSQL*Plus not starting

Dears,
Recently we have upgraded Oracle 9i to 10.2.0.1.
Everything is working fine but service OracleSOL102iSQL*Plus created at upgrade is not getting start.
and in error it is only showing that service is not starting in a timely fashion.
Please suggest what could be the possible reason of this issue.

  • IPod service manager will not start after installing iTunes 10

iPod service manger will not start after loading iTunes 10. iPhone will not connect. I've removed reinstalled, wiped the registry reinstalled and deauthorized, removed and reinstalled from several different downloads. I have full permissions fo rservices and am administrator.. We now have three other units in teh office with the same issue.
    now what do I do?

Don't know about fixing PitStop. However, have you tried a simple repair on Acrobat. If Acrobat won't open you can do that from the Programs and Features menu (Add/Remove Programs in OS prior to Win7).

  • Service Station does not start automatically

    Good morning,
recently the Toshiba Service Station application does not start when Windows (8.1) starts. If I launch the application manually, it runs normally.
I would like to restore the automatic start of that application. What can I do?

    Hi
You can add the application (service station) to the Win 8.1 startup.
    Go to the Start screen
Click on the down arrow to show all your applications
Right click on the application you would like to have start automatically.
    Select Open file location
This will bring up the location (url) where the program is started
    Right click and select Copy
On your computer, from the same Explorer window, go to:
    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Window s\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
Note: USERNAME must be replaced by the name of the user that is logging in.
    Then select Paste Shortcut
After that, the next time you log on, that program will start automatically.

  • MSCS for ECC 6.00 - Service settings, SAP not starting reliably

I have an ECC 6.00 installation on Windows 2008/SQL*Server in an MSCS environment that I'm trying to validate. (I didn't
install it so I don't know what was down as part of the install, and what was done after.)
On Node 1 currently, the SAP MMC shows FIVE instances running:
    - PSAPERPPROD1 (02) - Local Central Instance
    - PSAPERPPROD1 (10) - EnqueueReplicationServer
    - PSAPERPPROD1 (11) - EnqueueReplicationServer
    - SAPECCPRD (00) - ASCS
    - SAPECCPRD (01) - ASCS
On Node 2 I see the following:
    - PSAPERPPROD2 (02) - Local Dialog Instance
    - PSAPERPPROD2 (10) - EnqueueReplicationServer
    - PSAPERPPROD2 (11) - EnqueueReplicationServer
PSAPERPPROD1 and PSAPERPPROD2 are the physical names of Node 1 and 2 while the SAPECCPRD name is the logical name of the SAP
Cluster Service.  Users signon to SAPGui using SAPECCPRD(02)
If I look in the Services Manager of both Node 1 and 2 I see that the SAPMEP_xx services are set as follows:
    - SAPMEP_02 - Manual
    - SAPMEP_10 - Automatic
    - SAPMEP_11 - Automatic
What I'm experiencing is that if the three cluster services ("SAP MEP", "SAP_ERPDtc", and "SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER)") are all
running on Node 1, and Node 2 is rebooted, when Node 2 restarts, and I go into the Failover Cluster Manager and move the
resources from Node 1 to Node 2 (without signing onto Node 2), the SAP system does not start as the 02 instance on Node 2
hasn't started yet.  IF I go into Node 2 and open the SAP MMC then the 02 instance will start and then the failover to
Node 2 will work correctly and the SAP system starts.  If I don't go into the MMC first, then the 02 instance is down and
while the cluster appears to be started correctly you cannot sign onto SAP as there is no CI or Dialog instance running.
    My questions are as follows:
    1) Is this setup right? - something seems wrong, as I have to start the MMC before things work correctly
    2) Should the 02 instances be set to automatic? - what other implications would this have in the case that this service
starts without the database started on the cluster.
    3) Should the 02 instance somehow be added to the Cluster Service.
    Comments would be appreciated.

  • Macintosh Plus: not starting up.

My dad brought home this old Macintosh Plus with keyboard mouse wires and everything from his office. I plugged everything in, and I turned on the switch for the moniter and whatever is under the moniter in the image. The startup beep is heard, screen turns on, but then a question mark inside a floppy disk(?) icon appears.
Can someone identify the problem and probably how to solve it.
I am just a curious high schooler wanting to use a "very old" computer.

    minfremi,
Nightshooter asked a very important question.  Do you hear the hard drive starting up?  It will make a noise like an airplane engine starting up.  There is another way to wake up an old hard drive.  Take a plastic handled screwdriver, hold it vertically by the metal tip and gently drop the plastic handle onto the screw that is the center spindle of the drive.  That may jar the platters and free up the 'sticky grease' that is no longer lubricating the spindle.  This method allows you to leave the drive intact.  In order to do this, you must open up the plastic case --- but do not open the metal hard drive itself --- to see the hard drive and which nut holds the spindle.
Keep in mind that the original hard drive management software did not automatically park the heads.  You specifically instructed the hard drive to 'park heads' every time you wanted to move your computer and/or external hard drive, just to be safe.  If the drive heads are parked, they are off to the side of data blocks that matter.  If the heads are not parked, they could damage a sector on the platter.  That is why being gentle is important.  The soft drop approach directs the energy exactly where you want it.  Vertically on the spindle.
First check for the airplane engine noise and post back.  If you are familiar enough with hard drives to understand the paragraph above, great.  Otherwise, find a discarded PC that no one cares about, remove the hard drive from it, take that drive apart for the education, and then check back for further instructions.
The device we used in the shop for working on multiple macs was an external zip drive.  Each zip disk would have a different OS.  That way you could test drive an OS and optimize your computer for the nicest operation for the RAM you have before installing any updates to the hard drive you have.
Then check back with your progress.

  • Windows Service (SMB) does not start automatically

I have a client with an Xserve G5 running 10.4.8 with all software updates applied. Recently, the client decided to buy a new Ricoh multi-function printer, copier, fax machine. We've configured a share point on the server that the Ricoh uses to deposit the incoming faxes and scans. It works fine, but the downside is that it only works over SMB or FTP. I went with SMB (Windows Sharing) because of Apple's flakey implementation of FTP over the years.
The problem is that when the server gets rebooted -- due to power outtage, software update, whatever -- the Windows sharing does not turn itself on like all of the services do. I have to go into Server Admin and turn on Windows sharing manually.
Is there any way to get the Windows Sharing to turn on automatically at boot up like all of the other services do?

I had the exact same problem after applying the 10.4.8 combo update. This thread solved my problem:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=2962778&#2962778
In short, I had to disable the "Workgroup Master Browser" setting in Server Admin > Windows Service > Settings > Advanced. This is enabled by default, by the way.

  • SSO service unavailable, will not start up, corrupted?

One of the packages in SSO was corrupted and would not compile. When I try to compile the package manually, it errors out and fails. I ran the ptlasst script to reinstall SSO in Infrastructure. So, I am trying to run the ssocfg.bat file to reconfigure SSO, but I get the error message shown above. SSO is still down.
Does anyone know what this error message means and how I could resolve this issue? This issue has caused me much frustration and grief. I would appreciate any light you could shed on this matter.
