Are there any known problems with XP Media Edition and the Audigy 2ZS Platinum software/drivers?
I'm having issues!? The Creative software is crashing and my mic and headphones aren't working. I've updated to the latest drivers offered on Creatives site but I had more issues before I did that.
I'm losing my patience.

After using Windows 2000 professional for ten years we finally took the
Windows XP professional plunge.Upon loading XP we found out the
following problems: problem one,we now have no access to adjust
RECORDING PROPERTIES as these areas are now greyed out.Problem
Two:EAX/THX not installable under XP Service Pack 3.Problem Three:No creative mixer
under XP,we are stuck using the limited "windows" mixer losing the
ability to control sound/bass redirection.We are DEVASTATED of the loss
of control of our sound.We have considered using VISTA but this O.S will
not run SAM BROADCASTER as of this time yet.We have tried using any and
all of the S/W updates,having no real luck. Is there any new information
that will restore these functions? I have used creative/SB products well
over 20 years and are VERY satisfied with the AUDIGY 2 ZX w/installed
front panel MIDI/FIREWIRE system.We can not simply afford to purchase a
new sound/midi card. It is my personal opinion that because of the
upgrade to XP,and CREATIVE has effecti'vely rendered my hardware/software
useless by not having ANY product/S/W updates or a work around for this
issue.Can you offer a solution? Our 0 plus year Internet Radio Stations
is now down because of lack of sound performance issues and so is our
ability to control or use ANY of the APPS that came with our Sound
Card.....HELP PLEASE.... NorthernLights Radio?

Go to Solution.It not the service pack mate, it the new Map 3.08 that comes with the OTA update. Or even worse, apparently 3.08 is embedded with the V25 firemware for N8.

Need Help Finding Windows XP Pro Service Pac
This is day four, and I still can't get my brand new Creative Zen M Vision to work at all.
I don't have Service Pack 2, and it was suggested to me that I need it for the player to be recongized on my computer.
I'm on dial-up, and last night I was quoted with 30 hours to download the software from Microsoft. I left my computer alone until now, with 5 hours to go, AOL signed me off for being inacti've. Clearly this is not going to work.
I went back to the Microsoft web site and ordered the Service Pack on CD. However it says it will take 4-6 weeks for the CD to arri've.
I really DO NOT want to wait this long to use my MP3 player, this is really ridiclious.
Is there anywhere else I can get a Service Pack CD in person? Or somewhere I can order one that will not take over a month to arri've?Like I said above, it takes over 30 hours to download from Microsoft. I tried once, and I got signed off by AOL at 5 hours. It's unreasonable that I could ever be online through dialup for 30 hours, its just not going to happen, so I want to find the disc somewhere sooner then the next 4-6 weeks.

Upgraded to Vista Service Pack 2 on my Satellite L305-S5955...now there's no sound!
Last night I upgraded to Vista Service Pack 2 and today it says I don't have a soundcard. Out of all of computers, this is my only Vista, so I'm having trouble fixing this problem.
I tried to upgrade the drivers from the Toshiba website, but it's not a driver issue; there is no card being recognized.
So, I used the "Add New Hardware" wizard to re-add the soundcard. Doesn't work.
I see lots of people having trouble with this. And also, when the sound was working, it was really quiet. I'd have to turn off the dishwasher, heat, laundry machines, etc to hear anything!
Hope someone can help me on this.

How do you uninstall the wireless service and lenovo battery indicator from the task bar.
Was wondering if there is a way to remove them from the taskbar. Initially I had just the battery indicator and then I downloaded all the lenovo updates (for bios, etc.) and got the wireless service indicator too. They seem kind of redundant to me, as windows 7 already has their own on the task bar and they're just taking up additional space.
I'd atleast like to get rid of the wireless service.
Will this effect anything? Are they that important?

Right click on the Lenovo battery gauge in the taskbar, click "Launch Power Manager", click Options, clear "Show Power Manager Gauge in taskbar" check box. If Options tab is not available, switch to Advanced mode (upper right corner of Power Manager).
Don't recall specifics for Lenovo network icon, but is probably just as simple. Would be better (IMHO) to get rid of Access Connections altogether.
Removing the icons will have no affect on anything, except your piece of mind from removing these ugly and redundant symbols of bloatware. They are NOT important.

Crystal Report error exporting to Word
My company recently deployed a Microsoft Security Patch to our workstations that's causing a problem with Crystal Reports. When exporting a Crystal report to a Word file (from a VB 6 application) the following error is generated when opening the file: "You are attempting to open a file that was created in an earlier version of Microsoft Office. This file type is blocked from opening in this version by your registry policy setting."
My company uses Crystal Reports v 8.0.1.0. Is there a more recent release that provides a fix for this error?

I'm not sure on the exact size because it doesnu2019t work but I know there is more data in the report than the 100MB report which works so it doesnu2019t work on some reports larger than that (don't know the specific size because it doesnu2019t work) sorry for being redundant.
Not sure about a size limitation on an RTF formatted document that is saved as a *.doc (word document).
It's my understanding that exporting to a .doc is the same as exporting to .rtf because the .doc is in .rtf format. I may be wrong but if you change a .rtf extension to a .doc extension, you get the same thing when opening the file in word.
When exporting to RTF format I get the same error, so I believe they are using the same or similar process.
Yes I tried on other machines and different servers and the error only occurs when exporting large documents to word. Small documents work fine.
If there are file constraints in exporting to word, I believe a more distinct error message could be displayed related to the specific error.
No I did not upgrade my pc or software, I developed the report and am running specificly for 11.5 release 2 with service pace 3 installed.

Movie Won't Download - No Error Message - Just Starts Telling Me It'll Be 1000s of Hours
I actually have this same issue from my iPhone. I didn't know until tonight. After several fruitless emails to Apple support, I removed all my pictures and videos on my iPhone to make room for the movie I bought and after downloading 4.8mb the issue started there too. Here's the initial issue:
I am running Itunes on my PC Windows XP Home Edition version 2002, running service pac 3. It's a Dell Inspiron 1011, Intel Atom, CPU N270 @1.60Ghz, 0.99 GB of Ram. I have broadband internet with a download speed (according to speedtest.net) of 6.11mbps.
I purchased The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug in SD one night before bed and in the morning (roughly 8 hours later), it had completely downloaded the extras, but the movie itself only downloaded 250kb and told me it had 261 hours remaining to download. However after watching it for a minute or so, one moment it told me it had 50 hrs to go then as many as 600, when I checked a few minutes later, it said 126 hrs remaining and went as high as 64,000 hrs remaining. I'd really love to be able to watch this movie in iTunes on one of my devices. I have another $30 on account that I'd love to use.

Erasing the iPod disk (which, for any other luddites who worry like me, does not delete the OS - just the music data) meant that iTunes could finally find the iPod and restore it. It started syncing and all appeared well...
...until, that is, the sync finishes and you hit disconnect. The iPod ejects from iTunes, and shows the 'OK to disconnect' screen with the usual white progress bar.
When the disconnect progress bar is full, the iPod resets itself, and afterwards has no accessible content on it (0KB free under 'settings'). Which is odd, as when you reconnect it iTunes it syncs OK, as if nothing were wrong (the capacity and disk usage is shown correctly).
I've tried restoring again since and the pattern happens routinely. It doesn't matter if it's left plugged in during the 'ok to disconnect' screen or unplugged - it resets itself all the same.
I suspect this is heading towards 'terminal' status but am all ears if there are any other potential solutions!

when i am in an excell file with the file open, i often want to convert the file to a pdf and send as an attachment in an email.
this worked find for a couple of weeks after installing adobe 6.
suddenly, now when i click the icon which does the conversion to the pdf and sets its self up as a pdf attached to an email (outlook), it works, but the file size is reduced to a very small format. on the screen when i open the new pdf, it is so small, that i can read it.
when i send it it stays small, and when i print it it stays small.
i can enlarge it to see it but i do not want to have to do that .
i want the file to be formatted for a standard 8x11.
can anybody help?so, if anyone else is having the same problem....My flash is working properly now. You have to delete every trace of the old adobe flash player and then reinstall the latest version!

Interactive PDF Form Within HTML Layer
I am using DW8 and have flash, etc.....Has anyone got around
to creating a dll for direct imbeding of pdf files in a layer or
named anchor. I am somewhat sure that a outside link can be created
with an icon on the page but it would seem practical that the
service pac for Dreamweaver 8 should have the precreated adobe
product instance version checking on the client should be
available. I am also hoping that the xml conversion between DW8 and
Adobe Ilistrature (forgive the spelling as ilistrator does not have
a spell check) would allow for a direct import both for static and
dynamic forms.
Please let me know of anything that is out there or a
reasonable workaround.

appears you lose some xtml field criteria and the doc is flat with
no enterable fields, for say email forward or pull from a php serv.
I could create a Flash widget to open another child window with the
adobe instance and the associtated file being opened at start, but
is this really necessary for sister products? Ex system
designer/developer/tester/implementer now just lazy user who wants
a widget (dll, xml with css and associated font conversions) or a
better idea that risking orpaned windows. -
This is a survey to see how many people would like to have a forum where we can post the settings and system specs we have used for a successful overclock with certain cpu's, psu's, motherboards, ram chips, video cards and so forth. Also you current OS, service pacs and final settings that work without have memory errors, constant reboots and overheating problems.
Make sure tha cpu's are correctly identified by name, core and fsb.

I have tried to install Bootcamp with Windows XP four times now and never has it asked me (during the Windows installation with the blue screen) if I want to reformat the disk to NTFS. I choose a partition between 91-99GB, so I must use NTFS.
The only screen in which I choose to do something is the one where it says "C:Partition3 <BOOTCAMP>[FAT 32]" then it goes right to the installer.
I am using an alum. iMac 2.4 GHz with Leopard.
If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.

Just wondering if there are any known issues with the ZMP and IE7. I downloaded IE7 last week and since then I have been having some difficulty. My usual daily routine has been to download a podcast in the morning, then make some changes to the Properties (tag info) and File Name in Windows Explorer before sending it to the player. This has worked smoothly for many months, but no longer. It seems that opening WE interferes with my ability to open the ZMP Media Explorer. When I try to open ZMPME after having opened WE (whether I have reclosed WE or not) I get the message that says, roughly "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and must close..."? After I close that message box I am not able to open the ZMPME from the desktop icon as I normally would. It does not seem to cause the same problem with Creative MediaSource which still opens as it should. The only fix I've discovered so far once that happens is to restart the computer. Tomorrow, after my postcast arri'ves I will try a different approach. Maybe it will work if I open the ZMPME first, before I open WE. If it matters, I do understand that Windows Explorer is not Internet Explorer, but I don't think that rules out the possibility that when one is changed the other is affected. Also, I did look to see of there were any firmware updates for my player that might address any issues with IE7 and found only one update from /05, a year ago. I'm guessing that since I got my player in March 2006 I should not need to download that update. Is that a reasonable assumption?Thanks for any thoughts. Diane

Photoshop cs4 opening image with Yello shade
I would be really grateful if anyone can give me the solution for this problem.
I have just installed CS4 Masters collection and using on a

After opening any image on Photoshop, it shows in a yellow shade, the whole
image. Cannot do anything to get rid of it. This makes it impossible to
work on as the colors are all messed up.
