I have a few questions about service patches for Crystal Reports.
Where do I find them?
So far I have located SAP Support which seems to list service patches for my Crystal Reports 2011 but nothing for 2013 other than noted.
Should I find additional service patches as the 2011 listing, showing 10, do they need to be installed in order or can I move to the latest and only install that?Hi John
To update CR 2013, you will have to contact sales and they will give you a link. Ph: 866-681-3435

When is Patch for ADOBE DOCUMENT SERVICES 7.00 SP12 availaible
Hello,
we want update netweaver2004s to SP12 (delayed at 21.05.2007), when is
Patch for ADOBE DOCUMENT SERVICES 7.00 SP12 availaible?
Best regards
Oliver ProdingerHello Oliver,
ADS patches are released to an SP, when there is reason for a patch, e.g:
SP11 patch 1 contained support for x86-64 Windows.
We can not tell you yet, wether there will be patch for SP12 Version of ADS.
SP12 stack will contain SP12 of ADS as well, what is the newest available.
Best regards,

I recently took my 27 in I Mac to Peach Mac for service for a flashing green screen. It comes up when I log in. They said it was not a hardware issue but a software issue and want to charge me 99.00 to re-install it. WiIll mac come out with a patch for OS x for this? Is this worth it?
Having a similar issue with my MacBook Pro w/Retina 2012.
I did the reinstall my self and incrementally did the updates by downloading them from Apple's website instead of using the App Store.
I found that the problem occured after updating to OS X 10.9.3.
The issue is in a 4k resolution update for mirroring displays. Not that you should be doing that from an iMac but your packaged update may have been similar even though the update was meant for 2013 MacBook Pro's.
You can try reseting the Nvram chip during boot up by pressing "Option + P + R" keys. You may have to do this after entering your password to log in if you have that set up on your computer. However this only works on certain models of Mac hardware and may not do anything at all.
After you get your second opinion from Apple, if they again confirm it's a software issue, then you should reinstall OS X Mavericks and download updates from the website instead of the app store. This way you control your updates. You will find the OS X 10.9.2 update as well as a seperate security update prior to the released update of the dreaded OS X 10.9.3
Again if you don't want the issue to occur again, then hold off on updating to OS X 10.9.3, but be cautioned that you do so at the risk of leaving your computer less secured even though it will seem to run better. -
Service Desk for VAR - RFC Connections to customers
Hi all,
I'm trying to implement Service Desk for a VAR provider, however, I didn't found until now how to connect customer systems to Solution Manager in the VAR provider site.
I was able to create systems in SMSY automatically, as the Business partners and OSS users, but in SMSY the system has no Client (000,100,800) assigned and could not get it as no read RFC for system is maintained. Should this RFC be created using SAPSERV connection via marketplace (automatically or not) or using a simple direct SAPRouter connection to customer? anyone know how can I proceed or know some online documentation available?
Manually maintain this connections could be very anoing as we have a lot of customers and systems.
Thanks in advance for you help.
Best Regards
Pedro RodriguesHi Pedro,
normaly you don't need those RFCs as a VAR, that's right. With the new note 1320545 you also get product versions updated from OSS into SMSY. However if you require all patch levels of your customers in SMSY to do MOPZ you need RFC or SLD connection. You can generate RFCs connections from the SMSY system client screen for ABAP instances. There is a button "Router information" where you can maintain your and your customer's SAProuter IP adresses. These will be included in the routstrings of the generated destinations. Of course this must be done manually for each customer system because SAP suport Portal doesn't know your customers passwords and routers.

Errors on applying PSU patches for GI (Grid Infrastructure) 11.2.0.3
Need help!
This is all in the version of 11.2.0.3. We created a single node GI with ASM by the user grid. Grid home is /grid/product/11.2/grid/ And oracle home created by user oracle at /oracle/product/11g. I have downloaded the GI PSU patch 16742216 for GI and Oracle DB PSU patch 16619892. I just want to apply the patch to GI home, then Oracle home with different PSU. Here is what I did after unzip the patch for GI:
1. Stopped ASM instance and stopped listener (these are owned by grid)
2. Created a ocm response file at grid home by grid user: $ORACLE_HOME/OPatch/ocm/bin/emocmrsp -no_banner
3. Use the root to run grid profile to setup grid GI environment
4. Use the root to run as (as described in Oracle instruction): opatch auto /home/grid/patches -ocmrf /grid/product/11.2/grid/OPatch/ocm/bin/ocm.rsp
But got this error. For some reason it looks for Oracle home, not grid home, although I do not have any oracle home environment setup in root user:

HTTP SERVICE STOPS FOR NO REASON AND NO ERRORS IN LOGS WIN2K
The HTTP service stops for no reason and we have to stop and restart to unlock and web server runs again. It appears to be related to number of concurrent users but we cannot tie it down to and specfics except on our NT 4.0 system the service never stops and runs fine . We are running versions R1 patch 4 and have gone up to 5 and 7 . We are running against an 9i database and using forms and reports. We are not using the forms server in patch 4 just the HTTP service. This is a big problem and would like an answer if possiable.

Nitro (Nalperion Service) patch - 7/8 [32,64]
My T530 Windows 7 arrived with Nitro trial software, which I uninstalled from the Control Panel. Now Lenovo System Update shows critical update Nitro (Nalperion Service) patch - 7/8 [32,64]. Details: version 6.3.9.1, No previous version installed. I tried to install it but it downloaded and couldn't install and prompted my for a manual install. I checked Services and I have Nalpeiron Licensing Services (yes it shows misspelled). Should I do the manual install or should I ignore the update and click 'Do not show this update'?
Solved!
Go to Solution.Nitro is a .pdf related program... it includes a .pdf FILE CREATOR, making it much more than simply a .pdf "reader". For example, when I go to "print" a file, one of the "printers" installed on my PC is NITRO PDF CREATOR... and by "printing" there, it generates a .pdf file (on disk) rather than sending the file to a "real" printer. That file is saved... and can then be viewed with any .pdf reader program (Adobe, FoxIt, Sumatra), can be e-mailed or otherwise transferred to friends and/or colleagues, and of course, hard-copy printed whenever desired.
Windows 7 Pro SP1 (64-bit), avast! V7 Free, MBAM Pro, Windows Firewall, EMET, OpenDNS Family Shield, IE9 & Firefox (both using WOT & KeyScrambler), MVPS HOSTS file, SpywareBlaster, WinPatrol PLUS, SAS (on-demand scanner), Secunia PSI.

Hi Guys, I'm new to SAP BW and started yesterday with the GUI en basics.. With the SAP GUI in Business Explorer you have your Analyzer? It opens an MS Excel sheet and in Add-Ons you have your toolbar. None of those buttons work. I've read that I need a patch for them to work but I'm not sure what patch. Do anyone know which patch would that be?
Regards,
JanHi there,
The issue may not be a patch for BEx Analyser, but yes an older version of your GUI.
Try to unistall your SAP GUI and install it again from:
http://service.sap.com->SAP Support Portal->Downloads->SAP Support Packages->Support Packages and Patches - Entry by Application Group->SAP Frontend Components->SAP GUI For Windows->SAP GUI For Windows 7.10 Core->Win32->Download the latest one (gui710_pdb_18-10002995.exe) and install it.
Afterwards is also better to install the latest BEx patch from here:
http://service.sap.com->SAP Support Portal->Downloads->SAP Support Packages->Support Packages and Patches - Entry by Application Group->SAP Frontend Components->BI ADDON FOR SAP GUI->BI 7.0 ADDON FOR SAP GUI 7.10->Win32->Download the latest one (bi710sp12p_1201-10004472.exe) and install it.
Hope this helps,
Diogo.
