Service replacement of iPhone 4

I have had a service replacement in a UK apple store, my replacement phone now shows cellular instead of mobile and carrier instead of network, I live in the UK, can anyone explain this and if it will affect the phone working properly?

I have an iphone5 which its proximity sensor does not work. In Australia I went to Melbourne Apple Center and after inspection they want to replace it with a new one, but after seeing its part number (including LL/A), they refuse to replace it because it is not an Australian iphone. It should be noted that I also have an applecare service for my iphone. Now I am really confused what I shall do for this case. I cannot go to USA at the moment and I need my iphone which now it's really useless for calling when I do not want to use handsfree. My current apple support case number is 426298085 and I have D87469214, 426306629 and D87468601 apple service request numbers which have been canceled due to the mentioned reason.
More easy and better customer services are really expected from apple. I am one of your loyal customer who is sad of your bad services in this case. Please guide me how could I replace my phone at the earliest possible time.

Haha. Known issue maybe means there are several numbers of replacement for this reason. A quick internet search shows such a thing...

Keep powering your phone off and back on, it can take up to 2 hours for a normal service provider to finalize the activation process. When you got your new iPhone (congrats by the way) you should have received a little bubble that appeared that told you when the phone was activated, did you see that?

Read another post in the forum about this and it appears this app also installs a profile with a proxy service that you will have to try and delete as well. Check that out.

If you bought the iPhone in Paris, and live in another EU country, the warranty and out-of-warranty service will be valid throughout the EU. If you do not live in the EU, then you must send the iPhone to someone you trust in France to handle the out-of-warranty replacement for you.

I'm taking my iPhone 4 in tomorrow for a stuck sleep/wake button. I've tried blowing any debris out of the button's surrounding area and even shook the phone upside down in an attempt to possibly have it working and 'clicking' again as normal. None of that worked. Now I'm taking it to the Genius helpers, and I just wanted to know if there's a chance they'll actually replace the entire phone.
Any of you guys just had your iPhone replaced altogether instead of a repair?

There are independent iPhone repair services that may be able to do the repair for less than Apple's out-of-warranty charge. Do a web search for "iPhone repair". Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPhone serviced by an unauthorized shop, all further warranty and support from Apple will be voided.

You can ONLY exchange in Australia ,the warranty and post warranty service is not international
However if you are in US on a temporary basis you could always visit an Apple Store Genius Bar
Expect a polite refusual but always worth a try as it is not an iPhone5 and you are a temporary (??) resident .

I was given an iPhone4 by a friend who bought it in Singapore. However the phone has been dropping calls so I plan to have it replaced. I am unable to contact my friend to find out which shop he bought it from. Can I go to any Apple store in Singapore to get a replacement?

If you can't contact your friend and find out where he purchased the iPhone from, you can contact the only authorized service center for iPhones in Singapore:

Note that if your friend did not purchase the iPhone from an authorized source, it's quite possible that the iPhone you have was originally sold in another country. If that turns out to be the case, then you would have to know what country it was originally sold in and then ship the iPhone to that country for service.
