Service request lodged, doesn't process until server restarted.

Hi,
SCSM 2012 R2 RU3, being used as a front end portal for self service for orchestrator 2012 R2.
I was wondering if anyone has come across an issue where a service request was lodged and the SR is in SCSM but without any status change to 'new' or anything. Essentially no requests were being processed at all until the SCSM management server was restarted.
I haven't seen anything relevant in event logs or under Workflows>Status and was wondering if anyone had either seen issue and knew of a fix or a better work around than bouncing the server. I tried restarting the System center management configuration
service.
I looked at SCOM at the time and it was just saying 'Everything is Awesome!' so was of no help. Is there something in scom that could be setup to better monitor SCSM for failed service requests?
Thanks!

That happens some of some race conditions issues of workflows.
However if I recall that was already fixed in one of the subsequent UR(s).
   Please update to latest UR5.

  • Web Service from stateful Session Bean deleted after server restart

    Hi,
i created a stateful session bean and from this a web service.
I am able to deploy it and it works really fine.
My problem is: after a server restart the web service is gone and i
    have to deploy it again.
I have some other web services (but these are web services from stateless session beans)
but they "survive" the server restart.
I don't want to deploy the web service after every server restart, did I forget something or
is it a general problem of stateful session beans or web services?
    Thanks in advance

  • Changing sound preferences doesn't work until I restart?

So the new mail sound for a particular mail account, I want to change. I change it to "off" (no sound) and when I get an email it still makes the sound it used to. If I restart the phone then it works correctly and I won't hear a sound when I get a new email. Is this how it should work? Changing a setting in preferences doesn't work till you restart the phone?

Well, the 'chirping' certainly isn't a hard drive! I don't know what it could be... the only thing that I can suggest is that you take your computer to your local Apple Store and have them diagnose the problem. The diagnosis should be free as will an estimate for repair (if you're out of warranty).
Something's obviously not right but as the only moving parts in the retina models are the fans, you may have a problems with the fans. As to the problems with the keyboard, let the Apple techs figure that one out.

  • Inbox Search - status for service request not updated

    Hi,
In inbox search, the status change for a service request does not reflect until the user log offs or opens the service request in edit mode. PFB the steps followed. (Two users are monitoring the service request but is being processed only by one)
Web UI window 1(User 1): I open the inbox search result page. Service requests are displayed with the status field
Web UI window 2(User 2): In a separate window, the service request is approved by changing the status of the service request to Approved.
Web UI window 1(User 1): In the inbox result screen, i click on search for the same search criteria, but still the old status of the service request(updated in window 2) is displayed.
    Observation:
    1. If I open the service request, the service request still has the old status. If i click on edit, the new status is displayed. If i click on Back button (without clicking on edit), the new status is refelected for the service request in the inbox result page now.
    2. If I log off and again open the inbox result, the new status of the service request is reflected.
    3. The status of the service request is updated in the database immediately user 2 changes the status.
There is no enhancement done for the inbox search. The behavior is for standard inbox result.
Please provide any pointers to resolve this issue.

    Radhika

    Radhika,
This is standard behavior in the SAP inbox. The reason is that SAP buffers search results in the Inbox in order to improve performance. So even though you hit "search" again, SAP does not update the search results because this search has already been executed in this session. Clicking "End" or logging off refreshes the buffer.
SAP released a note to update the "Responsible Employee" in the Inbox without requiring the user to log off. You can see their explanation and the solution here:
    https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1465966
If you want to enable inbox refresh every time a search is executed, you will probably have to do custom coding. My guess is that you may be able to leverage the CRM_IC_INBOX_BADI. Let me know if this much info is enough or if you want further details on how to technically achieve this.

  • Is there any way to query who resolved a Service Request in Service Manager?

    Hi,
I have a query that pulls the last name of the user who resolved an Incident in Service Manager. The name is pulled from a view called "IncidentResolvedByUserFactvw." I need to pull the last name of the person who completed a Service Request. There
is no view or table that I can find that has this info. Is there a "IncidentResolvedByUserFactvw" type view with the Service Request info? If not where is this data stored?
    Thank you for any help!

    couple of notes:
    necromancy!
Closed -ne Completed. Completed means the work has been delivered. Closed means the work has been delivered, the client has been contacted, we've finished all of our followups and process checks, and we're ready to archive this ticket in the historical
    database.
it doesn't really make sense to talk about who completed a service request. a service request is a structured process. as well as who built an item that came off the assembly line; the assembly line did. who completed the services request? if your service
requests are well designed, the overwhelming majority of requests will be completed by the system once the last activity in the process is completed.

  • Automatically send web service request on restart

    Hi,
Is it possible to send a web service request (or invoke a web method) on restart of a web application that is contained within oc4j.
I want to try and improve the performance of my web service sine it takes a long time to execute the first method call
    Thanks in Advance

One possibility would be to use a ServletContextListener:

  • OPMN Can't Find In-Process Reports Server

    Hi,
    OracleAS 10g (9.0.4.2), Middle-tier, BI_Forms installation.
When I attempt to restart the in-process Reports server with Enterprise Manager 10g (9.0.4), I get the following error:
An error occurred while restarting "Reports Server: rep_204".
An error occurred while talking to OPMN. Could not find entity for "rep_204".
However, if I restart the OC4J_BI_Forms component, the in-process Reports server restarts normally.
I removed the <security></security> tags and the "securityId=" from the job tags in the Report server's .conf file per Oracle Note:210224.1. I also changed SINGLESIGNON=YES to SINGLESIGNON=NO in the rwservlet.properties file. No other configuration chages have been made - this is fresh middle-tier install. Our application does not use Single Sign-On (which is enabled by default for Reports servers).
I know in-process Reports servers exist in the OC4J_BI_Forms instance, but is it possible to restart them without restarting OC4J? Or is the inclusion of a "Restart" button on the in-process Reports server's control page just one of those "to be added" features?

Is there any way to control the reload of processes when server is restarted.

    Hi sab2,
There seems to be no reason for error if you have used correct Abstract WSDLs from the MDS in your composite.xml. The best way to check this is to do a Search for hostname in the entire project and ensure that the host-specific URLs exist only in the composite.xml that too in tags starting with *<binding.ws*. Any other WSDL references e.g. in composite namespaces, in Transformation files Source/target namespaces etc. can be replaced with the abstract WSDLs references.
The task is not done yet. You need to further create the configuration plans corresponding to each server environment where your composite would be deployed e.g. DEV_config_plan.xml, PROD_config_plan.xml. These config plans would replace the concrete locations in your composite.xml at the deployment time.
Also have another issue when we move the jars from dev to prod i see the endpoint on MDS is modified
PROD endpoints but after the process is deployed it still has the Endpoint pointing to Dev URL.
I dont see it any where on the MDS and the Composite WSDL.Are you using proper config plans? If not please use one.
The Process we use to migrate the code from DEV to PROD is by exporting jars from the
DEV instance and deploying them on PRD instance, does this have any effect on the endpoint pointing to the DEV URLI'm not sure about this approach as per the recommended approaches. You can however, use the same deployable JARs and deploy from the FMW console by selecting the appropriate configuration plan.

    Hi,
I'm trying to setup an App-V environment in my lab.
I've used the App-V 5.0 Trial guide to help me configure all necessary components.
I'm able to install everything without error.
when come time to publish an app, it simply doesn't show up on my client.

At first thought it could be due to incompatible format but when I isolate it, it was alright.
But when I change my ext HDD, the problem stops. Weird.
My guess is maybe due to insufficient memory space (well at least for me).
