Service Requests not resolving

Good Morning TechNet Experts,
I have been having an issue with service requests and I'm one week away from deployment. Basically, I had no need for a "Review" activity, we implement service requests the same way we implement incidents. An analyst opens a ticket for customer,
once service has been applied they should resolve the service request. With incidents this is easy, you just change the incident status to resolved...
However, with Service Requests I created a new template that did not require the "Approval" activity, only the "Apply Service" activity. My Idea was when an analyst is finished with the ticket, he/she just marks the "Apply Service"
activity as completed and the service request can move to "Completed" status.
Although the activity is being marked as completed, the ticket is not changing status. Some are stuck in "In Progress" and some are stuck in "New" status (even though the activity is showing as completed....). These have been stuck for
more than 24 hours now... when this actually goes into production a week from now even 5 minutes is a long time.
What can I do to solve this? I am open to implementing a new procedure if required. Thanks in advance!

Hi,
First of all, it looks like you are having an issue with your workflows. Please restart the HealthService (Microsoft Monitoring Agent) and check if the workflows restart. Do other workflows run (e.g. notification subscriptions)?
Secondly, if you are using service requests with only one manual activity, I believe the handling is a little bit complicated for your analysts. Why don't you remove all activities completely from your SR template? The service request will then go to status
"Submitted" once created, and the analyst can use the task "Complete" to complete the SR without having to worry about activities.
HTH,
Dieter

There's a similar case to that in which the solution was to upgrade the patchlev of Tuxedo software. The latest RP for Tuxedo 6.5 resolve some issues related to GWTDOMAIN process.
501. CR266129 Tuxedo 6.5 RP496: LIBGW_CAT:1029 Service request not forwarded - TPELIMIT (S-34477)
517. CR342496 Tx 6.5 [propagation] pq in tmadmin report too large number for GWTDOMAIN, not match ipcs results (S-42376)
Many things related to domains have been fixed.
I hope that solves your problem.

• Inbox Search - status for service request not updated

Hi,
In inbox search, the status change for a service request does not reflect until the user log offs or opens the service request in edit mode. PFB the steps followed. (Two users are monitoring the service request but is being processed only by one)
Web UI window 1(User 1): I open the inbox search result page. Service requests are displayed with the status field
Web UI window 2(User 2): In a separate window, the service request is approved by changing the status of the service request to Approved.
Web UI window 1(User 1): In the inbox result screen, i click on search for the same search criteria, but still the old status of the service request(updated in window 2) is displayed.
Observation:
1. If I open the service request, the service request still has the old status. If i click on edit, the new status is displayed. If i click on Back button (without clicking on edit), the new status is refelected for the service request in the inbox result page now.
2. If I log off and again open the inbox result, the new status of the service request is reflected.
3. The status of the service request is updated in the database immediately user 2 changes the status.
There is no enhancement done for the inbox search. The behavior is for standard inbox result.
Please provide any pointers to resolve this issue.
Regards,
Radhika

Radhika,
This is standard behavior in the SAP inbox. The reason is that SAP buffers search results in the Inbox in order to improve performance. So even though you hit "search" again, SAP does not update the search results because this search has already been executed in this session. Clicking "End" or logging off refreshes the buffer.
SAP released a note to update the "Responsible Employee" in the Inbox without requiring the user to log off. You can see their explanation and the solution here:
https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1465966
If you want to enable inbox refresh every time a search is executed, you will probably have to do custom coding. My guess is that you may be able to leverage the CRM_IC_INBOX_BADI. Let me know if this much info is enough or if you want further details on how to technically achieve this.

• WSDL for Provided Web Service does not resolve in IE

Hi,
After successfully providing a Web Service in FSCM 9/PT 8.49, I copied the generated WSDL URL in IE I was unable to view the WSDL. In-fact I cannot view any of the OOB WSDL's using the URL which PS generates after successfully posting it to the WSDL repository.
Any thoughts Please.
Thank You
Prashant

Hi Nicolas,
The URL that i am currently using is "http://localhost:8280/PSIGW/PeopleSoftServiceListeningConnector/SALES_ORDER_LOAD.1.wsdl
And when I paste this in IE I get the following response...
Unable to find a Routing corresponding to the incoming request message.
Status Code 20 & MessageID - 505 ... I could not paste the actual SOAP Fault message, as the Rich Text format was not resolving it correctly...
And on the Web Server window it says "[Fatal Error] :1:1: Content is not allowed in prolog.
I did lookup this particular error message for Weblogic and what I could make out is that the XML doc being provided has additional BOM Objects which need to stripped..

• Service Requests not displaying on Service Request HomePage

Hi
i have been performing operations like inserting new Service Request, Getting list of Service Requests and Updating Service Requests via web service integration.
Everything was working fine till 2 days ago. Suddenly today my Service Request HomePage does not show any of my earlier service request records??? However, when i filter for them using the SR Number i am able to view them.
Also i get the list of service requests and i am also able to insert requests but the new records do not show in the homepage. Worst of alll, i am unable to update any of my earlier records bcoz the crm is not able to find the matching SRNumber!
This is very confusing. Can someone please tell me how i can fix this problem?
Thanks,

• TREX - CRM Service request not showing

Hi everyone,
Per our understanding, TREX is linked with the button "Find related problems" on the 'More' button available on the Header tab.
We are using service request (SRV copied to ZCAS) to create incident. Our purpose is to be able to display the other service request (ZCAS) that would have some similarities (categorization, BP,...).
To do that, we have customized the following transaction in the spro: CRM/Transactions/Setting for Service Request/Define System proposals for related transactions
It is apparently working as, when cliking on the "Find Related Problems", we do have a window appearing with some similar cases.
However, it only shows the Problem (ITPR copied to ZTPR) that have a common categorization but not the other Service request (ZCAS) even if the customizing is the same (see screenshot below) and data are available.
Is that the good understanding of the TREX purpose?
How come the other service request are not shown?
Thank you very much for your help,
Regards,
Anaïs

Hi,
You can configure the system to propose the related transactions based on certain criteria. Configuration is based on the following path:
Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under Transactions Settings for Service Requests Define System Proposals for Related Transactions .
Check your source Transaction (Service Request) and you target transaction (Problem), and flag how would you like to find the related transaction:
By similar:
- category
- Reference Objects
- Organisation Data
-Sold to party
If you also would like to find "Other Service Request", then you customizing should have:
-Source Transaction (Your Service Request),
-Target Transaction (your service Request),
In other words, make a new entry to determine "Other Service Requests" as related transactions, rather than ONLY other Problems as related transactions.
Regards,

• How to Copy Service request Notes to the new Service request

Dear Experts
I have to write code for copying the service request's notes filed value to the new service request when User clicks on copy button.
Fields in the Heard are getting copied when user copies to a new service request. But notes filed are not getting copied.
Please suggest the available options for coding / configuration to achieve this.

Hi,
The thing is like this....
i have a released request in which we have more than 1200 objects, in that i dont need 10 objects.
so when i create it as copy of transport request, i just deleted those 10 objects and saved.
Now, if i transport the new request how many objects will go? 1200 or 1190?
in the new request i am getting the old request under Comment: Object List Included.
is it necessary to transport the old request?
i need to transport only 1190 objects.

I spent 3 hours in your Oxford Street office on Wednesday June 18 trying to sharing my data with my other phone. First your customer service said yes it could be done. Changed my phone to 0 sharing. Which of course means I have no data to share. I returned to the Oxford store on June 19 and spent 2 hours to have them check what is going on. When they checked with customer service they were informed that it cannot be done since I have sim only plans. Oxford changed my plan to 500/500/2G data. That same night they changed the plan back to 0 sharing. Once again I went back to your Oxford street office Friday June 30 (another 2 hours) and once again was changed back to the plan I requested 500/500/2G data. A telephone call was made to customer service - Sheila. She was told to not change the plan again and to add a note to the file. She said she would do this. Well tonight Tuesday June 23 at 1930 I get another text saying they changed me back to 0 sharing again so once again 0 data. So far I have spent 7 hours for a simple change and probably will spend another 2 hours with your office on Oxford Street. I will have to go back to Oxford street again tomorrow and have them change my phone back to 500/500/2G date. I would not recommend anyone to your service with this kind of service and unauthorized changes. This has been very time consuming on my part and I really do not appreciate your service. I should be compensated all the time I have wasted..... with O2

Hi This is a customer to customer forum so please remove your phone numbers. No one from O2 will read your message on this forumYou need to contact CS direct http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus.... or as you you will be doing...go back in store.If your issue does not get resolved you could make a complainthttp://www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain

• Possible Bug - Web Service Request Not Correct

Hi,
I am running ApEx 2.2 and think I may have come across a bug when referencing a web service that has been created using JDeveloper.
I have created my WSDL in JDev that looks like the following:
<definitions
name="MyHelloWorldService"
targetNamespace="http://helloworldserver/"
xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/"
xmlns:tns="http://helloworldserver/"
xmlns:soap12="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap12/"
xmlns:mime="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/mime/"

xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/"
>

elementFormDefault="qualified" xmlns:tns="http://helloworldserver/" xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:soap11-enc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
<element name="getCountElement">

<output message="tns:IHelloWorld_sayHelloResponse"/>
</operation>
</portType>
<binding name="MyHelloWorldServiceSoapHttp" type="tns:MyHelloWorldService">
<soap:binding style="document" transport="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/http"/>

</operation>
</binding>
<service name="MyHelloWorldService">
<port name="MyHelloWorldServiceSoapHttpPort" binding="tns:MyHelloWorldServiceSoapHttp">
<soap:address location="http://cjbrown-lap:8888/HelloWorld-HelloWorldServer-context-root/MyHelloWorldServiceSoapHttpPort"/>
</port>
</service>
</definitions>
When referencing this in ApEx it can see the methods getCount and sayHello, and it can also see all the input and output parameters. The problem comes when I test the web service.
The request generated by ApEx is the following for the sayHello method:
<SOAP-ENV:Envelope
xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/1999/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/1999/XMLSchema">
<SOAP-ENV:Body><namesp1:sayHello xmlns:namesp1="http://helloworldserver/"><namesp1:name xsi:type="xsd:string"></namesp1:name></namesp1:sayHello></SOAP-ENV:Body></SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
This returns the following message from the webservice:

<env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:ns0="http://helloworldserver/"><env:Body><env:Fault><faultcode>env:Client</faultcode><faultstring>Caught exception while handling request: unexpected element name: expected={http://helloworldserver/}sayHelloElement, actual={http://helloworldserver/}sayHello</faultstring></env:Fault></env:Body></env:Envelope>
The correct request should in fact be:
<SOAP-ENV:Envelope
xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/1999/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/1999/XMLSchema">
<SOAP-ENV:Body><namesp1:sayHelloElement xmlns:namesp1="http://helloworldserver/"><namesp1:name xsi:type="xsd:string">Chris</namesp1:name></namesp1:sayHelloElement></SOAP-ENV:Body></SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
This will return the expected message:

<env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:ns0="http://helloworldserver/"><env:Body><ns0:sayHelloResponseElement><ns0:result>Hello Chris</ns0:result></ns0:sayHelloResponseElement></env:Body></env:Envelope>
What ApEx seems to be doing is using the name of the method, rather than what is being detailed in the WSDL as the expected input envelope. It is also not showing the input parameters as an input box in the test instead is shows "Report returned no rows".
I have managed to get around this issue in a less than ideal way be modifying the NAME column in the WWV_FLOW_WS_OPERATIONS table to sayHelloElement instead of sayHello, and the TYPE_IS_XSD column in the WWV_FLOW_WS_PARAMETERS table to Y instead of N, in the FLOWS_020200 schema.
It now works fine, but why what could have caused it to not be correct in the first place? The answer to this is very important to me as I am working on a way to call XML Publisher seemlessly, without using a URL link, from ApEx, and then emailing the output document to the user. I don't want to have to modify the underlying tables each time I add a new web service reference in ApEx.
Any comments, views, assistance is welcome here.
Many Thank in Advance
Cj

Tony:
Thanks for reporting the issue. There was a change in the session pop-up page to include reporting on the new xmltype column in collections. Unfortunately the wrong function is being called on the xmltype column to display its contents. This will be fixed in an upcoming release.
Application Express 4.0 Web service support makes use of this new xmltype column in a collection. Therefore if you call a web service that returns a large XML document, and you click the session toolbar, you will receive the error.
Regards,
Jason

Thank you for posting the ipconfig /all, but we can't use it since the relevant data that we need to evaluate has been blocked out. I can understand if you have a strong security policy.
The Conditional Forwarders shouldn't be causing you to not to resolve specific domain names.
How long has this been going on?
What exactly occurs? Does DNS stops totally responding when you test it with nslookup, or are you just testing it with Internet Explorer?
If you have nslookup tests and responses, it may be helpful to see them, but if your security policy prevents you from posting them, I understand.
I'm curious about this part that you posted:
> "And as suggested by microsoft
> earlier,we have blocked few DNS
> Domains by creating conditional
> forwarders , pointing to
> our another domain."
Did you open a ticket with Microsoft support that provided this suggestion? If yes, you can email your support engineer that assisted you.
Or did you post this in this forum or elsewhere that you received this suggestion? If a forum post, do you have a link?
Without specifics, it may be difficult to assist. However, what I can provide are the following hotfixes. The second one you had already installed. I suggest and recommend to install the others.
1. DNS Server service does not use root hints to resolve external names in Windows Server 2008 R2

My guess is that the database service "HCM" is not up and running but not sure how to make up and running. Even I could not find it listed in the linux services list.
Note: Able to login sqlplus using "sqlplus sys/sys as sysdba" but failing to access database table as "select * from PSRECDEFN;"
thanks

Hi Nicolas,
I have no luck and the error still persists.
I have set the "export ORACLE_SID=HCM" from root user and oracle user too.
I guess, I have already loaded database when I ran the "cd /opt/oracle/psft/vm
./oraclevm-template.sh"
The outcome of the above script as similar as below:

ovm_configure_pre

TNS-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor
there was a entry in /etc/hosts which was directing primary.swapnilkambli.com to 127.0.01
This was because I created this OS from a Virtual box template wherein that entry was made.
I changed the /etc/hosts to refelct the true address and it worked!!

Hi,
no, you got it wrong:
Oracle uses network services which are a logical representation of the database to resolve network requests.
in your ntsnames.ora file you have the following:
network_alias = my_alias -- here you can write anything you just need to resolve it correctly
(DESCRIPTION=
(ADDRESS=
(PROTOCOL=TCP)
(host=hostname or IP)
(port=listener adapter port)
) -- this a complete socket information of the listener adapter!!
(CONNECT_DATA=
(SERVICE=your_service) -- this is what you tell the listener about the service you want to connect to. It is defined in the instance with the paramter service_names
In general it is network aliasses which are resolved with connect descriptor in the tnsnames.ora.
A connect decriptor consists of the address part + the connect_data part.
The address part is used to reach the listener.
The connect_data part is the information you hand over to the listener.
So the listener must know the service name.
The listener can either know this from the instance itself. When an Oracle instance is started it tries to registrer itself with a listener which listens on port 1521 for the protocol TCP.
The instance tell this listener two paramater values: INSTANCE_NAME and SERVICE_NAMES. Then the listener knows the instance and which services are defined. It is just a reprentation of the database to the listener.
If the listerner knows the service requested with a connect, it can establish a connection to a service handler. This could be a dedicated server process or a dispatcher.
Another mehtod to let the listener know the service requested is so called static regustration of the instance. This is made with an SID LIST in the listener.ora file.
Then the listener knows SID for the instance plus ORACLE_HOME and can find the executable to start a server process for a connect request.
Hope it helps a little-.
=;-)
