Downloaded x64 update for server 2012 R2 (KB2871777) - file downloaded is named Windows8-RT-KB2871777-x64.msu
When downloaded to server 2012 R2, upon launching the files, the message reads "Windows Update Standalone Installer"
"The update is not applicable t your computer"
If this is the wrong update please point me to the correct one - I cannot find another instance of this update anywhere.
I am unable to remove the active directory from this server, so I need to use this fix if at all possible, in order to use RDP.
I have tried every workaround I can find. The goal is to have remote users access RDP to run a remote session and access apps and files
on the server. we have Hyper-V enabled and have successfully deployed 10 RDP licenses to the license server) also on the PDC.
I read one post that suggested installing RD Connection Broker in one instance of a VM and AD DS in the other - not sure if that means we remove
AD DS from physical server. We only have one 2012 server (plus a server 2008 with Ad DS) and a server 2003. Trying to make this all work so we can deploy 10 remote desktop users.

KB2871777 appears to be for 2012 (non R2) only.
As to the other problem maybe this one helps.

Need to know your Mac model. If it's a PowerPC, the max OS is Leopard 10.5.x. If it's an Intel procesor, you can upgrade to Snow Leopard (for $29) & later to Lion.

Try the advice here. I had the same problem and it worked for me.
You have to delete the "SC Info" folder from /Users/Shared. You will have to use Terminal to enable you to see this folder first. Make sure iTunes is not running when you delete the "SC Info" folder
There is an article from Apple on this here. The "SC Info" folder contains iTunes authorization information.
I did this two weeks ago and iTunes accepted by login. I haven't been asked for my AppleID or password since.

Hi,
Have you already encrypted files or folders using EFS service in your domain?
If not, and you are not planning to use it to encrypt files or folders in the future, then it is OK to disable it.
If you have encrypted files with EFS service, make sure that they are all decrypted before disabling the service, otherwise no users will be able to access them.

After installation of latest Bridge and Photoshop version (2014.2.2) *.CR2 files will not be displayed correctly anymore, neither in preview nor in Camera Raw dialogue.
Some pictures have white squares with blue and red diagonal stripes that cover almost the complete picture.
When opening those files I have the same problem in Camera Raw dailogue and even in Photoshop eventually.
I tried to open the same same pictures on another computer with the same version of Bridge and Photoshop but the problem remains the same.
It seems like the files itselves are still ok, because if you open an explorer window the previews of the pictures are all ok. And the pictures' sizes remain the same.
I tried to clear the cache in both programs but it didn't help.
Has anyone an idea????

First see if a reboot of your PC helps. If not,

I updated my OS on recommendation from apple. Pdf and vector files will not open in adobe illustrator now. Am i using the latest OS?

Freehand can't convert EPS files into editable vectors. I

EPS files through Illustrator and then into Frehand. If you

This has been happening to me as well with an iPad 3 running iOS 8.1. This is what I do and it works for me. Toggle the setting for Multitasking Gestures off and then on again, Settings>General>Multitasking Gestures>Off. Then toggle it on again.
I have to repeat the sequence from time to time as I have not found a permanent fix. I think that iOS 8 is by far the buggiest iOS release that I have used since I have owned an iOS device.

I agree with what FoxFifth has said, but I want to add a little to the discussion and put my own twist on the explanation.
If you see a lock icon in the upper right corner of the screen - then the screen orientation is locked.
Try the side switch above the volume rocker first and see if that unlocks the screen.
If you are running iOS 7, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get to the control center and the lock icon is in the row of icons at the top all the way to the right.
If the screen is unlocked but still will not rotate, reset the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the button

UCCX 8.0 CAD: Can you disable auto update? Error: "unable to download file" Could not open request.

I have a UCCX 8.0 (2) Installed.
Users here have limited access via proxy. Now everytime i try to run the CAD or CSD, i get the error:
"unable to download file" Could not open request.
It seems to want to install or check for an update.
The work around i have found is to go to the CAD directory and change the update.exe filename
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\CAD\bin\update.exe
i dont want to have to do this for every user as i possibly want the update.
Is there a way to allow or bypass proxy on CAD?

I had this problem before - to resolve it I disabled the proxy in internet explorer settings.
You'll need to make sure the CAD version matches your UCCX server version. Otherwise you may run in to issues.

You may need to rebuild permissions on your user account. To do this,boot to your Recovery partition (holding down the Command and R keys while booting) and open Terminal from the Utilities menu. In Terminal, type: ‘resetpassword’ (without the ’s), hit return, and select the admin user. You are not going to reset your password. Click on the icon for your Macs hard drive at the top. From the drop down below it select the user account which is having issues. At the bottom of the window, you'll see an area labeled Restore Home Directory Permissions and ACLs. Click the reset button there. The process takes a few minutes. When complete, restart.
