Service-Type and 12.3 at AS5350

Hi!
After migrating from 12.2(XB15) to 12.3.13 Service-Type changed from Voice to Login in acct/auth requests in the TCL IVR script. This behaviour destroy my billing system.
I can't change billing system, and only can add second RADIUS for proxy/rewrite Service-Type. But this is not so good for me.
Please, help me solve this problem.
I can add additional info upon request.
thanks.

Cisco as always are full of suprises (most of them - unpleasant).
Go to config mode and then:
radius attribute 6
(6 is the service type). Try to change the value of Service-Type.
And as a last chance, I think you could manipulate the radius "variables" in the TCL script.

when we create an RO for this service type and if service date is DUE then line items for the service are get automatically added as line items to RO

  • Service type description in QM

    Hi All,
I got a requirement to genearate a QM report with service type and service type description(Short Text for Object Part Code),(QMFE-OTEIL, RIWO00-TXTCDOT).But RIWO00 is a structure, so am not able to retrieve the data.
So any body have an idea how to get the service type description for that particular
field by using any table or function module.

Each SRV record ties to what server they should be using

    Hello,
We want to use info type 0027 for defining multiple cost centers to employee.
In the table there are two fields that are relevant to Germany - Service type & Service category
I tried to hide those fields but the system generates error "Enter the service type and/or sub-service type"
Does anyone have an idea how to get rid of this message?
    Thanks

Check the Fields in V_T588M via sm 30 to hide or might make them optional.

  • [SOLVED] Avahi + service-types.db.pacnew

    Hi there,
just a quick question: With the latest updates came avahi-0.6.31-6 to my system (Arch_x64). Pacman told me:
    Warning: /usr/lib/avahi/service-types.db installed as /usr/lib/avahi/service-types.db.pacnew
Does anybody know, if I have to check something before using the .pacnew? I tried to have a look with meld, but that doesn't work - obviously - because the files in question are binary files
Last edited by swordfish (2013-03-03 11:25:27)

From looking at `$ pacman -Qii avahi`, I gather that /usr/lib/avahi/service-types.db file is marked for backup. Searching the 'net, I found that this (binary) file can be regenerated when you make any local changes to /usr/share/avahi/service-types and reinstall Avahi.
Looking at the changes to the avahi package, I found this change adding it to the list of backup files, apparently related to this bug report: FS#33930 - [avahi] missing backups.
So I guess that unless you have made any local changes, it's OK to replace the original with the .pacnew.
As always, if you don't trust my judgement, ask the package maintainer or the upstream developers :-)

  • Creation of Service Product with Set Type and Attribute

    Dear All,
Please guide me with proper step by step process,
How to create the product with the set type and attribute for service industry in sap crm 7.0
    Regards,

    Hi Nitin,
Before creating the Service type of product, you have to define the Base category for Service type product. Generally the category for service will be created under the R3 hierarchy R3PRODSTYPE. You can create this category using the TCode:
COMM_HIERARCHY. Here you have to select the product type as Service and have to assign the set types to the category.
You can create a service product using the transaction : COMMPR01 -> Click on Service ICON -> Select the Category for Service Type. Then fill in the details for Service Product description, Service ID(Based on number range settings for products), Language.
Also fill other details like Base Unit of measure, Pricing condition for different sales areas for the service product.
Since you are using CRM7.0, you can do all these activities using a POWER USER role.
For more information about Set types and hierarchies please refer the following help link:

  • SERVICE  PO using service master and service PO using Material Type DIEN

Dear Gurus can you differenciate between SERVICE  PO using service master and service PO using Material Type DIEN ?
    Regards
    Vinod Suresh Kakade

    Hi,
Material type DIEN is used for when you offer "SERVICE" to your customer.
When you are procuring "SERVICE" from your vendor, you can use external service management where service master is used (Steps are PO created in ME21N with Item Cat. "D" with Acc. ***. Cat. "K" or "C", ML81N, MIRO & F-53).
In Standard DIEN material type designed for Sales usage only, but you can use DIEN for Purchase also to avoid External Services Management.

  • Internal error when redefinind service with entity types and associations

    Dear gateway specialists,
I have created a gateway service with several entity types and several associations together with corresponding navigation properties.
Then I have created another service in which I want to redefine the first service with all the entity types and associations.
But the redefinition ends with an internal error (message no. /IWBEP/SBCM001) and the navigation properties are not imported (entities and associations seem to be o.k.).
What could be the reason for the error? And why might the navigations not be imported?
    Thanks!

P.S. I found SAP note 2027049 "Service Builder Redefiniton - Extend of Odata service with Associations" which I've implemented, but without success

    Hi,
on debugging I found out that the changes coming with SAP note 2027049 are  actually causing the problem:
In method DO_EXECUTE_COMMAND of program /IWBEP/LFG_MOD_GENI02 the note inserts the following piece of code:
    IF gt_odata_associations IS NOT INITIAL.
      LOOP AT gt_odata_associations ASSIGNING <ls_association>.
           READ TABLE gt_odata_entities ASSIGNING <ls_entities>
              WITH KEY name = <ls_association>-left_end.
           IF sy-subrc = 0.
                READ TABLE GT_ENTITY_TYPES ASSIGNING <ls_entity_types>
                   WITH KEY name = <ls_entities>-name.
                IF sy-subrc = 0.
                     READ TABLE gt_navigation_props ASSIGNING <ls_nav_prop>
                        WITH KEY source_entity_id = <ls_entity_types>-entity_id.
                     IF sy-subrc = 0.
                          ls_entity_np-name = <ls_nav_prop>-name.
                          ls_entity_np-technical_name = <ls_nav_prop>-external_name.
                          ls_entity_np-relation_ship = <ls_association>-name.
                          ls_entity_np-from_role = <ls_association>-left_end.
                          ls_entity_np-to_role = <ls_association>-right_end.
                          APPEND ls_entity_np to <ls_entities>-nav_props.
                     ENDIF.
               ENDIF.
           ENDIF.
      ENDLOOP.
    ENDIF.
    SORT gt_odata_entities BY technical_name.
    But the statement
         READ TABLE GT_ENTITY_TYPES ASSIGNING <ls_entity_types>...
is not correct. It leads to wrong results if an entity has more than one navigation properties as the key is not fully specified.

    Description:
RADIUS requests can only be processed by Access Services that are of type Network Access
    Resolution Text:
Verify that the Service Selection Policy rules are correct
However, even after adjusting the Service Selection rules and seeing hits, I still see the same message in the logs, as if it has no affect.  Any Ideas?

If you use the protocol as radius you can not use a device admin service. You can only use network access. That will allow you for authentication to the devices.
