Serviced in November 2005, worked for four hours, dead again!

This could get very expensive! I sent my Ipod in on November 4th 2005, paid the $32 in handling. It was repaired (Would not boot up/turn on even after doing the five R's). Returned to me November 9th in working order. I loaded songs, plugged the unit into the car adpater to play over vehicles FM Stereo system and it went dead! Won't turn on/boot up or even be identified by the ITUNES softaware on computer.
Ugh. Is there a warranty on the service? I cant find anytning on this website in under forty five minutes of reading, so I thought I would ask here for direction on seeking out whether the service I recieved in November is warranteed, or do I pay another $32 this month for shipping and handling?

I'm sorry, got confused. You're not going to get 7 hours on your battery. Apple says "Up to 7 hours". That means they got 7 hours under optimum circumstances and with certain usage. You need to keep your screen brightness as low as you can live with. Minimum music and video. Check some email, a little office type stuff. Forget games. You might get close but you won't get 7 hours.
In the small print of their adds Apple spells out exactly how much of what they did to get 7 hours.

Get a faster Internet connection
Try disabling all Security software on the computer, that can cause problems with the download and install.

You're saying you don't back up your phone regularly? You should ALWAYS back up before updating your phone. That said, try resetting first: hold down the home button and the power button for at least 10-20 seconds until you see the Apple. Hopefully you can then try to perform the update again. Start doing backups if your data is important to you.

No Internet Access For Four Hours!

Hi Folks,
Yesterday afternoon at approximately 2:00pm, I lost my internet connection. I thought it would just be a 'blip' that would correct itself in a couple of minutes. How wrong I was! My connection was down for just over four hours!! Because of some critical work I had been doing beforehand, I went into panic mode. I checked the loss of connection on two separate machines and the problem was for real. Incidentally, if it hadn't been for Network Magic Pro installed on both PCs, I would not have known what had happened. I used to rely on the flashing blue icon in the system tray but that only indicates network activity.
The longest I've ever lost my internet connection before this occurrence was about one minute and this was caused by interference from a neighbour using the same wireless channel as me. Easily remedied.
Although I live in Bracknell, I suspect this problem was more widespread but I have no way of knowing.
Did anyone else witness this problem?

My airport just worked for 12 hours... no more.

hello... last week i bougth an airport extreme in the United States... and i bring here to Colombia... yesterday i installed the airport... it works great just for 12 hours... then it turn it off... and it does't work... i have to disconect the airport power... and wait for 10 minutes ... then i connect again and the airport works just for 15 minutes .. and then turn off again... i dont know if the hardware is bad.. or the adapter... can you help me with that??

I haven't had it for very long, but it is definately out of warranty period (not that apple covers water damage anyway).
Apple warranty is 1 year and iPhone 5S has not been released for 1 year.
However, dropping it in the sink has voided the remainng warranty.
You can get a replacement fro $269 (U.S.) at an Apple store.

I love the portability my powerbook gives me. You can use a PB in your setup. You can run an external monitor for either PB or MBP. You can node. Universal Binary menas it is an application which has the components written for both PPC and Intel chips-so you don't need to do conversion. Nodes won't require you buy a nother license. so the answer is down to how much the 2 upgrades and 1 crossgrades will set you back vs how much use you'll get out of them. IMO the iMac is inexpensive (I mean that in a good way-worth hooding on to). Maybe just look at a refurb PB unless you really have the extra cash.

"Fix" From Community Only Works for 24 Hours :(

I am very aware of all the Q & A regarding the fact shortcuts entered by the user quit working after upgrading to iOS6.
I have already tried the "fix" of deleting my shortcuts and restarting the phone.
It works for about a day and then they quit AGAIN.

MBP harddrive makes a lot of noise after working for few hours

Harddrive on My MacBookPro INtel 15" 2.0 makes nose after using it for few hours?
It also overheats. I took it to Apple care and they performed series of test and found nothing. To be honest, this is the on laptop that I had which gave anourmous amount of heat. I cant put it on my laps so I wouldnt call laptop.
Are these know issues?

ACS 5.4 works for 1 hour then authentication fails

Has anyone ever run into this issue.
A deployment of two ACS devices where placed in the network. One being primary and the other being secondary. All network devices are directed to the secondary ACS. Everything works fine per replication and status both look healthy. After 1 hour of being up the network devices do not authenticate anymore. The only thing that pops up is the password statement. Normal behavior is a prompt with username followed by the password. During this time, all processes where running on both devices and both showed healthy. In addition, switches logs where checked to see if any type of port flapping was occurring and none where found. We also ran a continuous ping during this outage and the ACS kept responding.

You need to check ACS authentication logs and see why the devices are not getting authenticated successfully.
What are the clients that authenticate? are they wired or wireless? what eap method is used?
after the problem happen how do you resolve it? reload ACS?
What happen if you provide the correct password when the prompt appear? It works fine?
If providnig the correct password to the prompt make it work again then there is possibly some kind of sessoin timeout configured for the 1 hour period that when client connect the session will time out within one hour and users will get disconnected and they have to connect back again.

What version of ID? What OS? did you save from the menu, or by using the keyboard shortcuts?
There seems to be a bug, I think in CC 2014 on Mac, that is disabling the save and undo functions for some users. There are several threads about this.

thank-you! yeah, i cant see going to 64. as it stood sound quality was dodgy. good on some stuff, great on others, and terrible on a few. i have some great news...my ipod is not showing up in itunes. again. i give up. it has music on it. its full to the tippy top. i fooled around with some of the things the trouble shooter wizard thing suggested last night for hours. didnt fix it. after awhile i was just going in circles. i will just live with the thing the way it is. but i will say one thing; after reading some of the posted issues other folks are having i'm just glad i didnt put everything in the cloud....peace
