ServiceDesk with status HOLD and SLA Calculation

Hello there experts,
I was trying to figure out a scenario with ServiceDesk and SLA... I got SLA working but thinking about the third parties that will be using the system we came up with the following Issue:
Imagine that you have a SLA enabled based on Priority then a new request of support came up... there´s a standard status called Proposed Solution... imagine that this is not the final status and its just a suggesting of solution then it must be tested by the "other side" of the support... so the SLA is counting and the bomb will blow up in the servicedesk hands but this is waiting a response from the "customer" or even a third party person that is not concerned about the SLA since its for the support and not for him.
I was thinking like: Why to control SLA if you cannot stop the clock for a "customer action"?
Some ideas came up my mind such put into the mentioned status some specific action but I dont have a clue if theres some CRM method that stops clock.
I saw some threads regarding the "Stop time" but none was conclusing... Am I thinking wrong with this "HOLD" status or u agree with me that this is a big lack of functionallity from SAP?

As usual a very good answer from you Pascal and I think it´s really something that lacks in Solution manager....
The "hold" status is something basic at any helpdesk functionallity who uses SLA to control the time.
I was just wondering that it could be a best practice to have a continuous clock ticking even in the situation of "Customer Action"... the SAP uses this status and I wonder if they track time and how they do that...
Anyway I am thinking to go for development but I am just leveraging some points.... following your instructions Pascal, I really have at the cockpit the option to go for Menu ->System->Changes Document to find the info about when the status was changed... Is there any other place I can check that?

    Hi all,
    Sometimes our development systems tends to react extremely slowly.
    If I can get the process overiew in SM50, I see that all Dialog processes are uses and we have a whole bunch of users with Status HOLD and Reasn PRIVATE - no DEBUG, no wait RFC, no DB access active.
    Nobody can explain what that means and what the reason may be.

    Yes, it is all in the help.
    PRIV means that the user's memory limit has been exceeded for this work process and that the process will be locked until enough memory is available on the system.
    Some companies just don't have the money to buy some memory - they prefer to pay consultants waiting time

  • Message struck in adapter engine with status Hold

    Hi,
    In intergaration engine all messages are processed, I have checked SMQ1, SMQ2 (no message is struck in queue)
    where as messages struck in adapter engine with status Hold, I have checked this in RWB. How to resolve this?

    Below is some information on how to resolve this type of issue:
    1 - In the RWB, expand the tray for "Configure Table Columns" - by clicking on a square at the right end of this heading.
    2 - Check the checkboxes for "Serialization Context" and "Sequence Number". These should then appear in the table columns as well.
    3 - Add the Serialization Context to the Extended Filter Criteria. Search the messages in status HOLD based on this new additional criteria.
    4 - Sort the messages in ascending order based on the Sequence no.
    5 - Check the predecessor message of the first message in status "HOLD"
    Based on the following status for this predecessor messages, the actions that can be taken for the HOLD messages are:
    a - Predecessor is in Failed State/System Error : Cancel/Resend the
    first message in status HOLD after this. Then the remaining messages
    can be cancelled/resent.
    b - Predecessor is in DLVD state(delivered state) : First Holding
    message can be resent/cancelled followed by the others.
    c - Predecessor is in NDLV(Non-Delivered Status) : Check why the
    predecessor message failed and correct the reason for the failure.
    Then resend the predecessor message and then cancel/resend the
    remaining HOLD messages. Alternatively, you can directly try
    resending this NDLV predecessor message and see if it goes. If it
    goes, then the remaining HOLD messages can be resent/cancelled.
    Another option could be to cancel this NDLV predecessor message so
    that it goes to FAILED state and then cancel/resend remaining HOLD
    messages.

  • Purging EOIO messages with status "Holding" at the adapter level in XI.

    I want to purge a set of messages (some 800) with status "Holding" at Adapter level in RunTime Workbench. I have gone through the blog "/people/stefan.grube/blog/2006/04/27/how-to-deal-with-stuck-eoio-messages-in-the-xi-30-adapter-framework which explain the way to reprocess the messages which are stuck in EOIO so that the rest in queue are processed but is there a way to purge a large number of messages in a EOIO queue which are holding for long, at the adpater framework level thorugh some option in Runtime workbench or Visual Administrator of J2EE server on which XI is running ?

    How do I process messages with status = "Holding" from the RWB-Message Monitoring - Adapter Engine?
    I did a quick scan for records with errors in the same queue (ConversationID), but could not find any.
    I tried to cancel the one with the smallest sequential number, but I got the error - "Unable to cancel 1 of 1 messages; update the status"
    Please help.

    Hi,
      "Holding comes into play when ur scenario is having multiple inbound interfaces and you checked "Maintained order at runtime"in interface determination in ID. Suppose  message will hit first inbound interface once it is successful then it will hit second inbound interface. If first inbound interface fails then most of the message will be in "Holding" status depends upon XI AF queues ID.
    I did a quick scan for records with errors in the same queue (ConversationID), but could not find any.
    You will not find bcoz of AE archiving settings.
    Try to check the with business guys, whether they need the order of processing. If not the case try to Uncheck the box "Maintain Order at runtime".

    Hi Mano,
    You are in the filter editor for job definitions (Definitions > Job definitions). Job definitions do not have a status (they simply define what to do, optionally when).
    Go to "Monitoring > Jobs" (First item in the first group), you can also click on the button in the tool bar. See screenshots below on my English system:

  • AutoConfig is exiting with status 1 And ORACLE error 6502 in afpodbinit

        Excuse me for trying to brief the Issue in such manner which may not be apt. or appear stupid to many Experts.   But I am newbie to Oracle Apps !
      After registering the  EBS R12.1 Vision, DB version 11.2.0.3.0   with OID 11.1.1.6  successfully with  $FND_TOP/bin/txkrun.pl   Before that Registered EBS Instance with OID
       as part of Integrating EBS R12 with OAM-OID 11g according to  (ID :1309013.1)
        Once i updated  these profile options i.e  "Applications SSO Type" profile option to “SSWA w/SSO”  and“Applications SSO Login Types” profile option to   BOTH ,   AND
      Applications SSO Auto Link User profile option to “Enabled” And “Applications SSO Enable OID Identity Add Event” profile option to “Enabled”.
      And than it requyire the EBS tier to be restarted Once i restarted it  Than the following  Issues  Occured.
       1.  As i specified the provisiontype value to 1 which means that  the user that's got created in OID should be populated in fnd_user table in EBS But this is not happening
            as the User that i 've created with the ODSM is not propagated to fnd_user table when i verified it with the following query
                   select USER_NAME, CREATION_DATE from fnd_user where creation_date > (SYSDATE - 1);
                       The Output : no rows selected
    2.  The EBS Login page become inaccessible that is the Login Page goes blank

  • Message stuck in adapter engine with status Hold, how to delete those

    In Dev system around 6 lac messages are stuck in ;holding' state. How can I delete them. Is there is any standard proge which can delete all these messages.

  • Requests in phase completed with status warning and there is no output

    Hi guys,
    While running some requests, they complete with a warning and there is no output to view. The request log doesn't show any significant errors. What could be the reason for this and how can I troubleshoot this problem?

    The report works fine when  we change some parameter values like the customer name.
    In that case, I believe the issue is because the user is trying to submit parameter values which are not available in the system, and as a result the report completes with warning. And if you see the error message in the logfile it says:
    "Language function associated with program CAMAIR-CO Proforma Invoice Print determined no data exists for the given set of parameters"
    But if you wish to confirm, you may try to fetch the data from the back-end and see if the records exist. But being said, I believe the cause being of non existence of data.

  • Idoc with status '03' and having "connection closed" status in SM58

    Dear all,
        We have came across cases where we send out 10 idcos to an external system..using TCP/IP RFC destination. Among these 10 idcos..some of them will remained status '03' and it can be seen at SM58 that these idcos were having the status 'connection closed'. And among these "stuck" idocs, some of them had already received at the target system but some were not. I understand that we can execute LUW at this SM58. But everytime i execute LUW, it will return me message "gateway fail / not found". In order to make this execution of LUW a success, i need to go to SM59, look for the TCP/IP RFC destination, do a test connection to it, then come back to the SM58 to execute the LUW. By doing this, only the IDOC can be sent out and received at the 3rd party system. Any idea what is going on and how should i prevent it? Any other method i can used to let it pass through other than executing it one by one in SM58? Thank you!

  • IDOC with status 62 and 53 twice.

         When we process an inbound idoc we are getting status 62 and 53 twice for some IDOC's.Because of this document posted twice. But it is happenning in rare case. We are not able to find why some idoc's having status 62 and 53 twice.Can anyone tell me the reason why it is happenning like this...

    we succeeded in getting the same problem as you did some month ago.
    Our special situation is, that there is a periodical job which starts every hour the ABAP RBDAPP01 to process the incoming IDocs in the background. It happened that a job took 1 hour and 10 minutes and the next one 10 minutes. Both finished at the same time. There are a few IDocs which got the status 62 and 53 twice, each produced within a second.
    Maybe your situation was similar. Perhaps you started two RBDAPP01-backgronud-jobs at the same time.

  • Thir Party Sales with Status Profile and Credit Block

    Hello All,
    I have did configuration for Third Party Sales its working fine without Credit Block. The Problem is when I an creating a Sales Order I need to Confirm the Status to Rel and then save the Sales Order. Since the Credit of the Customer Exceeded So Purchase Requsition not created. I released the sales Order using T-Code VKM3 and then checked the Sales Order the Status again changed to Initial Status from Relesed Status and Purchase Requition was also not created.
    Please suggest.......What is to be done.

  • View for active Incidents related to WI (Problem) with status (Active) works but can't be changed.

    Hi,
    I wanted to create a view of Incidents which are linked to a Problem (any problem).
    I did a quick test using the Incident (advanced) class, selected to display Incidents with status Active and [Work Item] Is Related To Work Item and status for Problem with the status Active.
    At this first test I didn't bother to select any specific columns to display but just went with the pre-selected ( Description, Display Name, Display Name) and it worked. 
    I got a list of expected Incidents in the view but having the Description column made it quite useless.
    So, when I try to select the columns I find useful it will not update and it returns a No items found message instead.

    It is of course possible to group by one of the Display Name fields and collapse to get a more workable view but it still lacks a lot of good information. One would like to include ID, title, Created date,
    date modified, Display Name for Affected User and Assigned to user, and a few others.
    I was just a bit stumped as to why this fails when changing the columns on a view that obviously is possible to create.

    Consider using the Advanced View Editor( or
    the free edition), since it has much more robust criteria and column editing capabilities. 

  • IDOC Error with STATUS 51

    HI,
    I has a JMS-XI-IDOC Scenario where i has used BPM to get the response from RFC wehre the RFC input is the message from JMS.
    The Response Message from RFC is mapped to IDOC .The Scenario is working and the IDOC is getting created in SAP System Iam getting the Error with Status = 51 and the required field LIFNR not found.
    Request you to please provide the suggestion whether i need to make any settings to resolve this.

    Status 51 in most cases is because of lock occured in R3, you can check the kind of error in BD87. If it is a lock error then you can directly say process all

  • IDOC stops with status 30

    We have migrated from SAP 4.7 to ECC6 , the Xi is on version 2.0 .
    After migration  some of our IDOC created from ABAP Proxy are not getting processed automatically. It stops with status 30 and we need to reporcess this . After reporocess the messages are getting processed
    Can anyone help in finding out how to find this error

    Hi,
    The status 30 of IDOC, status text u201EIDOC is ready for dispatching (ALE service)". Internally, the constant ALE_READY_FOR_DISPATCHING represents this status.
    Processing Selected Intermediate Documents  -->
    Use program RSEOUT00 to start processing all selected intermediate documents.
    You need to check your ALE settings for that error. test the proxy mannualy using payload.
    Then you will come to know wheather your proxy works fine or not.
    Go to SPROXY --> Select Your SERVICE INTERFACE --> clikc on TEST button or Press F8 --> provide your payload and check the result.
