Servidor SAP BO con ItemMatrix presenta lentitud al abrir Addon

Mi servidor con Item Matrix , presenta lentitud al abrir Addons al momento de ingresar las tallas en una orden de venta , demora hasta 5 minutos en desplegar la ventana, el Servidor también presenta uso excesivo de memoria el proceso de ItemMatrix.

CAMBIO DE SERVIDOR SAP

holaaa debido a que compramos servidor se quiere pasar SAP al servidor nuevo:
la version actual del SAP es SAP Business One 2007 A (8.00.231) SP: 01 PL: 06 (actualmente instalado) bes practices 20100301 nos vamos a actualizar al 8.8,
1.Que cuidados debo tener para la migracion de Base de Datos?

Bueno yo recomendaria que instalaras todo en el nuevo servidor la version de 8.8 con el ultimo PL y que cuando eso este listo restaures un bkup de tu base de datos productiva en el servidor nuevo,
luego con el PL lo vuelvas a correr para realizar el upgrade unicamente de la base de datos,
si todo va bien migrara sin ningun problema, de lo contrario te saldran los errores en el log de migracion y los numeros de nota a los cuales te podes referir.
Si la base de datos migra bien, te recomiendo que hagan pruebas con este sistema para ver que todo les funcione de la manera correcta y sin ningun contratiempo, despues de que las pruebas esten realizadas puedes poner a migrar tu Base de datos productiva en una ventana que tenga la empresa de tiempo, por ejemplo despues de la hora de salida o bein un fin de semana,

On 1. September Gartner Release an new research Docoment called "SAP NetWeaver: The Past, Present and Future".
Im not able to read it ... but maybe here somebody knows and can tell me what gartner thinks specially of PI.
If you don't now something about the report. I'm intrested in personal opinions as well.
Does an Investment from Customer side into PI makes sense, is there a long term strategie from SAP for PI.
The same for developers .... what you think about the PI consultants future?
I now there are already some simliar threads... but i didn't find something special to these gartner report.

Imprimir desde SAP BO con epson FX -870 en windows 7

He tenido algunos problemas con las impresoras dentro de windows 7, a ver si alguien me puede ayudar, trato de imprimir desde sap bo a una okidate ml-320 con emulación de epson y trato de jalar los drivers de epson-fx870 pero no los saca, alguien me puede decir como podría hacerle para mejorar la calidad de las hojas y que me salgan mejor las impresiones. por favor.

Gettin SAP license and total numer license for my Addon

Hi,
i need from my addon to read:
1. license sap number
2. total license number for my addon
I see these information in the license administration form in B1 client.
First is in the 'Allocation' tab, License field.
Second ins in the 'Components' tab 'total number' field selecting my addon from 'license components' grid.
How do i get them ?

I already checked SAP Business One License API, but it was a little unclear to me.
I found this blog post:

It's almost 3 years old, is still valid? Is there something newer?
Talks about 'COM License Bridge'.
Where do i have to install it? On develompment machine or on SAP B1 server? I guess B1 server.
Furthermore, in the post i read 'It's important to Note that it will only work on the system where the License Service is running'
Is this still true?
I need to access licence information from the client when the addon starts, not from the server.
Is there any other solution?

Carrera en SAP empezando con ABAP IV

Hola,
En breve quiero comenzar un curso de ABAP, con el objetivo de certificarme a medio plazo, he tocado algo de SAP, y creo que me puede gustar bastante.
El caso es que me gustaria hacer una carrera profesional en SAP, donde el inicio fuese como programador de ABAP siendo IT como soy. Pero tampoco me gustaria estar toda la vida programando en ABAP, sino que mas adelante me gustaria especializarme en un modulo. ¿Es ese salto posible, o siendo programador en ABAP te quedas estancado en ABAP?.
Siendo IT, ¿a que modulos puedo optar?, ¿solo BASIS?, o, ¿se puede optar a otros modulos como BI, FI, WM,.. sin haber estudiado un carrera relacionada con gestion y administracion de empresas?

Dado tu perfil, tu vertiente es cláramente técnica.
Como bien comentas, tienes dos posibilidades o bien escoges la parte de programación, donde trabajaras con ABAP IV sobre todo aunque también, Java, el novedoso SAPUI5 (basado el Html5),etc o bien escoges SAP NetWeaver Administrator o como se le conocía y conoce SAP Basis.
Si decides ir por la consultoría ya sea de FI, SD, MM, contar un una formación complementaria expecífica te ayudará sobre todo en FI, por lo que no te lo recomendaría.
La programación te dará una visión muy amplia del ciclo completo de SAP y no son raros los casos de programadores que se acaban pasado a la consultoría funcional con excelentes resultados.
Escojas lo que escojas intenta que sea lo más vocacional posible, esta vocación te hará continuar en momentos de difíciles.

Is this mandatory on a new PI 7.11 installation for PI to work properly?
The system came up good? Not any working interfaces though.

This component contains the [Plain J2SE Adapter Engine|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/6f/246b3de666930fe10000000a114084/frameset.htm]. This is a very basic version of PI and contains only 4 adapters.
Is it mandatory?
No, it is most unlikely that this component should be installed on the same host machine as PI.

SAP SYSTEM Option not present in Installation Option while running Inst Mas

Hi Gurus,
I am getting problem while installation of Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 & or ECC6.0 EHP4 ready
I Start with SAPINST on Win 2003 SP2 server 32 Bit Ent. Edition , JRE 1.4.2_17,
After running SAPINST from Installation Master SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1(5103441) & Inst. Master SR1 SAP NW7.0 EHP1 (51038620)
I seen only two options 1. Standalone Engine --> Solution Manager Dignostic Agent.
2. Software Life Cycle Options --> which has JAVA Add-on, system copy, application server .. etc additional options
So my problem : Is I am doing anything wrong or I these installation DVD's are only for additional components?
How could I start my Installation i.e. Central system instance

Data Manager - SAP NW Conn. - Error: "Fail to retrieve the logon ticket"

I am using Xcelsius 2008 SP2 and I am testing the new way to connect to SAP BW. When Browsing for a BW Query, I get the error "Fail to retrieve the logon ticket". When using QaaWS, everything works fine. Does anybody know this error?

How can I check whether it is applied to both ABAP and JAVA steaks?
Today our basis team confirmed that they have implemented EHP1 SPS5. In BI system, if I go to "System" --> "Status" --> "SAP_BW" component has SP "SAPKW70105".
Also I installed diagnosis tool in portal as you advised and all lights are green.
Any other proposal?

SAP GUI 710 installation with BW 3.5 addon - BW Browser has disappeared

Dear all,
I hope someone can help with a BW 3.50 add-on problem following SAP GUI patching.
I'm doing a local installation of SAP GUI 710 Compilation 3.
I have selected the following three options:
1. SAP GUI for Windows 7.10 (Compilation 3)
2. BW 3.50 Add-On for SAP GUI 7.10
3. Business Explorer
(We require both BW add-ons for version reasons.)
Following this I have applied the SAP GUI Level 13 Patch (gui710_13-10002995.exe).
Up to this point, everything works as expected and I can still see the BW Browser at Start --> Programs --> Business Explorer --> Business Explorer (SAP BW 3.x) --> Browser (SAP BW 3.x)
However, when I apply the BW 3.50 Add-On Level 6 Patch (bw350gui710_6-10004473.exe) the Browser disappears from the menu and I can't locate it anywhere. A reboot wasn't required although I did this anyway with no visible effect.
I did try uninstalling everything and attempted the same process, but with SAP GUI Patch Level 12, and combinations with BW 3.50 Add-On Patch Level 4 but with the same result.
Has anyone else come across this issue, or know what has happened?

We have a similar setup, utilizing all 3 as you do.
Since we are currently at Browser patch 4, eventually headed to patch 6, I threw your situation into our VM enviroment and tested the installation of Browser patch 6. Interesting enough, a clean install of Windows XP, Office 2003, and then GUI 7.10 with patch 13 and Browser 3.5 sp4 works as normal. Once I applied SP6 for the Browser, I still have the icon under the Start menu but the wdbbapp.exe is gone.
Thanks to the VM test enviroment, I was able to recreate the scenario in a few moments and this time prior to installing the patch 6 for the Browser, I set it up to catch all the changes the SAP installer makes when applying sp6.
The installation performed the following activity:
13 files added
4 files deleted
141 files updated
363 registry entries added
522 registry entries deleted
129 registry entries updated
Of the 4 files deleted, one of them is the BEx Browser (wdbbapp.exe) - which is why my shortcut won't work
Of the 13 added, none of them are the file being replaced.
Of the 141 modified, none are this file either.
I am still going through the log but have not seen anywhere it will make a difference if the file is not there.
Again, I am not saying there is a problem, perhaps they changed the way it is accessed, I am not fully up on the process of the BEx Browser. SAP may have something mentioned about it on their GUI/BEx site or a note, this is just my preliminary findings.

Problema con migración de respaldo al servidor de sap b1

Buenas tardes amigos consultores! tengo un problema estoy trabajando desde mi laptop con un demo de 30 días (esperando a que me den mi licencia), de sap business one, acá estoy cargando la información para pasarla al servidor, con hago el respaldo y migro la base de datos que tengo al SERVIDOR tengo conflictos con los usuarios.
El servidor tiene licencia de sap business one en una base de datos (con sus respectivos usuarios creados a los que se le asignó cada licencia), el problema radica en que cuando entro a las otras bases de datos cargadas en el servidor el mismo no me dá permisos para crear ó visualizar en las otras bases de datos.
La pregunta en mi respaldo tengo que crear los usuarios licenciados en el servidor completamente???

Hola...
Si tienes el usuario manager, puedes entrar a cualquier base de datos con él. Luego una vez que entres, es posible cambiar la asignación de la licencia de un usuario a otro. Debes tener cuidado, sin embargo, con este manejo, porque siempre está la posibilidad de eliminar un usuario o una base, eliminando con ello una licencia.
