Hi,
I know what is happening, but i do not know why.
The taskflow has a jspx whith a component binding.
That binding points to a pageflow scope bean, defined in the taskflow.
That bean also is used to get the parameters when the taskflow is called.
I printed the bean hashcode, and for my surprise the parameters are passed to a different bean instance that the binding bean, the beans hashcode are differents.
Why ? Is that a bug ? What do I have to do ? I need to set the binding to the same bean that gets the parameters.
This is the component with the binding inside a jspx
<bpm:processEditor id="processEditor"
taskflow="true"
inlineStyle="position:absolute;top:0;left:0;height:100%;width:100%;"
binding="#{pageFlowScope.processEditorHost.editorComponent}"
host="#{pageFlowScope.processEditorHost}" messageListener="#{pageFlowScope.processEditorHost.processMessage}"/>
And this is the bean definition for the taskflow
<managed-bean>
<managed-bean-name>processEditorHost</managed-bean-name>
<managed-bean-class>oracle.bpm.composer.beans.taskflow.TaskflowProcessEditorHost</managed-bean-class>
<managed-bean-scope>pageFlow</managed-bean-scope>
</managed-bean>
For now I did
final FacesContext context = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
if (context != null) {
final ELContext elContext = context.getELContext();
elContext.getELResolver().setValue(elContext, null, EDITOR_COMPONENT, editorComponent);
To save the component and then i can get it again.
final FacesContext context = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
ProcessEditor processEditor = null;
if (context != null) {
final ELContext elContext = context.getELContext();
processEditor = (ProcessEditor) elContext.getELResolver().getValue(elContext, null, EDITOR_COMPONENT);
The problem is that the component is not serializable.
Regards
Pablo

  • Fusion Applications 11.1.7: Deploy a custom ADF page to Fusion Applications

    Hi,
    I am trying to create and deploy a custom ADF page in Fusion Applications(in premise) which will allow search, create and update operations on a custom table. I have been going through a pile of documents and this forum but I still have the following questions.
    I have a PageA based on the UIShell. This page is linked to the taskflow TaskFlowA which provides the search functionality. TaskFlowA calls TaskFlowB and TaskFlowC which provide the create and edit functionalities.
    I have enabled security from Jdeveloper (Application>Secure>Configure ADF Security)
    Question#1: Is this step required?
    To deploy it I will generate the ADF Library JAR for the Model and ViewController. The ADF Library JAR for the model will be placed into the <ExplodedEarDirectory>/APP-INF/lib directory of an existing application(say HCM). The ADF Library JAR for the UI will be placed in the <ExploadedWarDirectory>/WEB-INF/lib directory.
    Question#2: Are any other steps required for deployment.
    I will then add permissions for the page by following the steps in How To Configure Security For Custom Pages/Taskflows Added To Fusion Applications(Doc ID 1486524.1). This document lists the steps for configuring authorization policies using APM.
    Question#3: While specifying the resource type in APM, I will select RegionResouceType and set the Name to PageA. I understand that I need to provide the full path of PageA in the form xx.xxx.xx. But how do I get the full path?
    Finally I will add a new menu entry in the Navigator menu using the setup task “Manage Menu Customizations” by adding a new item.
    Question#4: What will be the value of Focus View Id for the new Item? Will it be the Focus View Id that I provided while creating the menu file in JDeveloper?
    Question#5: What will be the value of Secured Resource Name? Will it be the same as what I provided in Question#3 above?
    Thanks,
    Sujoy

    Question#1: Is this step required?
    Yes if you want to test the security in the integrated WLS .
    Question#2: Are any other steps required for deployment.
    Yes. Please follow up our earlier post ADF How-To #12: Deploying Customizations to Standalone WLS
    For question #3, #4 & #5 please first review our other post ADF How-To #10: Replacing A Bounded Task Flow  This won't answer completely what you asked but would definitely be a step in that direction.
    I would also recommend you to go through other posts starting with title ADF How-To #.
    Hope this helps

  • Custom ADF Taskflow to be displayed as part of Human Task notification

    Hi all,
    I am trying to display a custom ADF taskflow as part of notification of a Human Task. I see multiple ways of implementing it and need guidance on how to go about this.
    As a first step, I created a taskflow based on the human workflow task. This is WEB-INF/oracle/apps/xyzcommon/activities/publicUi/worklist/flow/myTaskflow.xml. Then I see 2 options -
    Option 1 - Use setTaskDisplayUrl while creating the task
    oracle.bpel.services.workflow.task.model.Task task = objectFactory.createTask();
    String AppUrl = oracle.topologyManager.client.deployedInfo.EndPointProvider.getExternalEndpoint("xyzCommon");
    String taskflowUrl = AppUrl + "/faces/adf.task-flow?_id=myTaskflow&_document=WEB-INF/oracle/apps/xyzcommon/activities/publicUi/worklist/flow/myTaskflow.xml";
    task.setTaskDisplayUrl(taskflowUrl);
    Option 2 - Define the taskflow in the Enterprise Manager - Add or remove the URI for the user defined task details application.
    Setup the Application Name=worklist, Host Name, HTTS Port, URL=/xyzCommon//faces/adf.task-flow?_id=myTaskflow&_document=WEB-INF/oracle/apps/xyzcommon/activities/publicUi/worklist/flow/myTaskflow.xml
    Questions -
    1. Are both the above options required to get my notification correct or is just one of them enough? If one of them is enough, which is better to use?
    2. Is creating the taskflow from the human workflow task the only way to customize my notification to show a taskflow?
    Thanks,
    Srini

    Learnt that I need to follow this link and no explicit setting is required in code.

  • Customization of Human tasks the BPM Worklist App with ADF App

    Hi All,
    We are building a custom ADF application which aims to combine several business process human tasks to a unified interface.
    And how to integrate the Human Task Flow BPM Worklist to my ADF App.
    Otherthan that
    To the BPM Worklist App we want to do customizations also like
    1.Want to customize to apply our own custom skins to customize banner logo, title to the BPM Human Task Flow App.......
    2.And based on the logged in user/role we wanted to restrict the features of the Work List App.
    Say for Example should not provide the Facility to Add New Page if the logged in user is not an Admin, like wise no provision to add or modify or delete the Worklist Views like that...
    How to get control the App based on User/Role
    Any help or pointers would be appreciated!
    I have ADF Experience from projects Using JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.
    But, for me this is the first BPM case.
    Renuka

    Hi Renuka,
    There are basically two ways to create an ADF UI for a BPM Task:
    1. Generate it from the task
    2. Create a ADF Taskflow based on Human Workflow Task
    Since I tell this by heart, I might be slightly wrong in the terms.
    You probably want to try the second option. It is accessible from the "New Gallery". You'll have to provide the Human Task from the BPM project, but then you can build up the ADF Taskflow by your self, based on the customizations of the rest of your application.
    Should not be rocket science for someone with ADF11g experience. Since it is not my dayly job, I need to figure it out every time again ;). But I did it in the past and it wasn't so hard.

    Martien

  • Advice using workspace in custom ADF application

    Submitted on behalf of Mike Rooney (who cannot access this forum):
    We are analyzing Oracle BPM 11g beta and would like to understand existing resources for building worklist views, task status, bpm reports, etc, into our custom ADF 11g application. We want to create components on our ADF application pages that mimic these features provided by Oracle Workspace. Are there APIs, libraries or rich components that exist? We have reviewed Chapter 29 of the Oracle SOA 11g Developer Guide which discusses a programmatic solution for building a custom worklist client. We are wondering if there are any alternative rich components or declarative solutions for this functionality.
    Any help or advice is appreciated!
    -- Becky Kellinger

    Sorry for the delay on this one.
    Our 11g api is completely backward compatible with 10g. So the source we provide for the JSP based worklist app in 10g still works with 11g.
    Starting with BPM PS1, we are also providing reusable taskflows for customers to create their own ADF app and reuse our worklist regions in that app.
    Heidi.

  • Is it possible to leverage InDesign Server templates in a custom web app?

    Hi there,
    I am building a custom web app and was hoping to leverage our existing InDesign Server templates within our web app. What I would like to do, is based on user input, show my template with the user's input in the browser. I have looked through the API guides for InDesign Server CS6, but I haven't been able to conclusively find anything that will allow me to use the APIs to call the server, send the data points the template requires, and then get an image back from the server.
    I believe this is possible, I am just not sure how to achieve it! Any ideas or articles that help push me in the right direction would be extremely helpful!
    Thank you!
    Marshall

    Yes it's completely possible. There are two parts to making something like this work:
    1. The scripts themselves. You can generally script InDesign Server and desktop InDesign exactly the way using ExtendScript. So that's the part of the process where your script receives variables and passes them into the template and replaces something you've identified as variable, whether text or an image or something else (perhaps a color theme, etc.). You should get your scripts running on desktop before playing around with server.
    2. The messaging between your web app and the server. Whatever language you are using (i.e. PHP, .Net, Java, Ruby…) there is a way to make a SOAP call to InDesign Server to tell it basically "run this script with these parameters". You should get the "hello world" script running from a SOAP call on the server before using your real variable-driven document.
    The documentation of these things is available here:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/indesign/sdk.html
    You need to download the InDesign Server SDK (don't worry if you're on CC and it says CS6, almost nothing changed) and the InDesign Scripting SDK. The Server SDK deals with part #2 above, the Scripting SDK with part #1.
    It really isn't that hard. I should warn you, though, that it is addictive and once you do your first one you will become all-powerful and want to do nothing else. :-)
    Good luck and don't hesitate to ask questions.
    Max

    Hi,
      Check if your wsdl endpoint can accessed properly. If yes, check the soap-binding address is properly pointing to the server hosting the webservice.

  • Obiee 11g and custom j2ee app using the same cookie name

    Hi,
    I wrote a same j2ee web application. i'am using authentification through a realm configured in the web.xml.
    This web app is deployed in the same weblogic than obiee 11g. What i want to do is to embed my application in a dashboard using an iframe tag, and use the same login from analytics to my custom web app.
    In this article http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11035_01/wls100/security/thin_client.html#wp1039551, it is said that by default, all web apps in the sames weblogic server are using the same cookie name so that they share authentification between them. However, i have read in the web that analytics in obiee 11g is using a cookie with the name "ORA_BIPS_NQID".
    In the weblogic.xml of my custom application, i set the cookie-name parameter to ORA_BIPS_NQID. However, in the dashbord, it still prompt for authentification to my custom web app.
    How can we share authentification between analytics and a custom web app in the same weblogic ?
    NB : I dont want to pass the username et password through the url.
    Thanks.

    By default, if you don't specify a cookie-name in the weblogic.xml configuration file, the weblogic server create a cookie named JSESSIONID for your application. For exemple, if two applications use the default configuration, both of them will use the same cookie name which is JSESSIONID. In this case, when you log in the first application, your are automaticaly logged in the second application with the same credentials. I have already test this kind of integration and it works perfectly. You only need that the two applications are deployed in the same weblogic server.
    Now, i want to have the same behaviour between obiee 11g and my custom application deployed in the same weblogic server. I read somewhere in the web that obiee 11g presentation service (analytics) is configured with a cookie-name value = "ORA_BIPS_NQID". So in the weblogic.xml configuration file of my web app, i specify a cookie-name value = "ORA_BIPS_NQID" to have the same cookie-name between the two application. But, it still not work. It prompt for authentification in the dashboards.
    I now, that such an integration is possible, because the other bi applications (mapviewer, bipublisher,...) are actually other web applications. However when using, for exemple, maps in dashbords, the mapviwer application automaticaly user the credentials of the user connected in analytics.

  • Create Custom ADF Task Flow for BPM

    Hi,
    I'm working an project on BPM and I'm required to create a custom ADF task flow with multiple views based on the human tasks in BPM. Since I'm new to ADF, could some one please give me some pointers?
    Thanks,
    Debojit

    Hi,
    You have to implement your own custom worklist screens for such a subject. As you know the OOTB worklist screen shows the logged-in users' assigned, etc. tasks. You have to implement the API of SOA workflow.
    You can check Mark Nelson's blogs on Redstack to accomplish this. Hope this is the answer of the problem you are looking for.

    Is it have to do with the Deployment profile ? or any Data Control Issue ?

    Thanks Guys,
    You won't believe if I say the issue because of a minute error.
    for some reason the AMImpl.xml and its class files were getting created in different directory where as the DataControl was referencing the different directory, when I changed the proper directory for classes files to generate things started to work fine.
    As long as the creating the deployment profile, I think I did right. So all is fine at my end.. thanks for your links, it was really helpful though.
    Thanks
    Thyagy

  • File download from a portletized ADF app running in webcenter spaces.

    Hi,
    I am having trouble downloading non static files from a portletized(with ADFPortletBridge) ADF application running as a portlet producer in Webcenter spaces .
    This is my scenario :
    Jdev : 11.1.1.3
    Webcenter : 11.1.1
    The ADF app has a query page, that uses the af:query component to do a query and display results on a table. This table data need to be exported as a file with some changes like splitting address to component city and state columns .
    The ADF app makes use of af:filedownloadlistener to get this(HTML formatted file with an .xls ext is our current preference to get it to open in excel, but could be anything) done . The ADF app works just fine, but as section 30.2.5.5 in the web center dev guide points out http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/webcenter.1111/e10148/jpsdg_bridge.htm#CACBHDEF
    > The <af.fileDownloadActionListener> component is not supported.
    The actual behavior however is that the export happens when triggered, but the component keep serving up the same file it created the first time it got invoked every subsequent time. The same file is served even across sessions.
    The alternatives I've considered so far are :
    1. <af:exportCollectionActionListener> - Exports what you see on the UI table. Would not work for us, because our exported data is different than whats on screen. (eg: whole addresses are displayed as a single column, but broken down as component city and state columns in exported data )
    UPDATE : <af:exportCollectionActionListener> exhibits the same behavior as <af.fileDownloadActionListener> in a portlet environment. The first time after deployment it works, and every subsequent time (across sessions) it serves up the same file it first generated.
    2. redirect to a servlet - admittedly half baked idea - fiire an action that will generate the report, then put it in sessionScope , redirect to a servlet that would pick up the report from session and stream it to the user by setting the servlet's response content type. Very unsure if this would fly in a portlet environment (sorry, I'm new to portlets) and even if it does, section 30.2.5.2 in the web center dev guide says :
    Do not redirect or forward a request within your JSP. JSR 168 only supports requestDispatcher.include(). The use of httpServletResponse.sendRedirect() or requestDispatcher.forward() results in exceptions and errors. Am I overlooking some feature that would let me do this or whats the recommended method to achieve this functionality of exporting a file generated at run-time in a portlet environment ?

    I'm facing the same problem. Do you have any news on this issue?

  • Best practice tunning parameters for tunning ADF apps?

    Hi all,
    I am tuning our 11g ADF app for around 3 billions (can be up to 10 billions records) and the concurrent connections up to 100. The app is running on a 16 core Intel chip and 8GB of RAM. The Weblogic used Rockit JDK. Any one have this experience please share and help me! I am considering what is the top ten crucial parameters for this tuning. Up to now I just have tunned some parameters from OS layer to app layers:
    - indexing for queries
    - open cursors, processes and pga memory
    - share pool for app module and jdbc pooling.
    - heap size of JVM memory only max value 1024 because of 32 bit Windows (Perhaps I must upgrade to 64 bit OSs to use more memory)
    The app was tested with Jmeter with only 10 concurrent connection and the test case is logging in and query and logging out. It ran very slow. I found out that the weblogic server did not use CPUs equally (only 1-2 CPus were used)
    Thank you and best regards.
    Elton Son.
