Sessions from Sonar to Logic

Im working on a project with a musician who tracked mostly in Sonar, and I'm considering how best to bring his sessions into Logic. The OMF route is a bit annoying, though I've had a little success. There always seems to be an hour of clean-up, mostly because my OCD won't let me work with such a mess.
I've also been bringing the track stems in directly, as these projects are mostly in the 10-15 channel range. In the future, with the potential for a much bigger mess, i'm curious of any other techniques/whatever.
I'm not looking to carry EQ, fader levels, pans over. Mostly the raw edits just before mixing.

Easiest thing would be for that person to do the following:
a) create a MIDI file to capture the tempo and markers for their song. Import that into Sonar and you'll have an easier time creating the basic setup/song map.
b) "consolidate" all of their tracks to start at bar 1/beat 1. This way all you have to do is import all of the audio files and bang them all to start at the very beginning of the song.

Delete unused audio from GB sessions from hard disk

I would like to clear the unused audio from many Garage Band sessions from my hard disk. When audio is recorded in GB where is it stored?

Normally, GB does a pretty good housekeeping job with the audio files: If you are not using a recording at all in you project, it gets deleted next time you save your project. (That means: not using even a fraction of a second - otherwise the whole audio is kept, since GB's edits are non-destructive.)
Having said that - if you want to check, the audio recordings are in a folder inside the project package: ctrl-click the project in the Finder, select "show package content", and look inside the media folder. Be careful - deleting stuff from that folder that you think the project isn't using might confuse GB.

Right now , I have access to some of the sound files but most are missing and all are incorrectly labeled.
Is it possible to ("Library") these sound files or access them from logic?

How to put value in Session from AM ?

in AM : i have a condition like this
if (tool_id != null)
//initialize lov and pass this tool_id to lov's controller.
how can I do it ? If I had to do it from the controller, I would have put the value in session parameter, but how Do I put a parameter's value in session from AM ?
I dont have the method : putsessionvaluediret() in am ??
or say : how do i pass a value from am to an lov's contoroller ?

You can create a method of string type and return the value to the controller.
IN AMImpl:
public String getToolId(String InputParameterIfAny)
//initialize lov and pass this tool_id to lov's controller.
// Capture toolID in variable and return
return toolID;
In Controller:
String toolId = (String)am.invokeMethod("getToolId",InputParameterIfAny);

How to edit other user's session from a session id?

I want to ban a person on real time for example. Website's database ban checking is on the login level. So if i ban someone the user's session must be expired and relogin. But if i change user's session attiributes it will be real time ban.
Shortly how can i edit some user's session from their session ids.

Use a filter and have it check with every page load (as one obvious solution).

I want to be able to restore not just my last session but a session from a previously selected date and time.

Kind of a question and a suggestion. I accidentally closed my session with a load of tabs open. I then accidentally reopened firefox twice, once with my old session and a new session which was just my homepage. Meaning to close the latter I accidentally closed the former, and now I can't restore all the tabs I had open as firefox will only remember the last session I had open, i.e. the one with just my homepage. Is it possible to set up a 'session history' feature, so that just as I can go back and open a tab from yesterday or last week I can open a session from yesterday or last week?

I lost my session about two days ago, with a lot of important tabs that just vanished as I upgraded my Firefox.
Now I don't know if it is possile to restore that session. I didn't have the session-manager extension installed..
I also found in:
C:\Documents and Settings\xxx\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxx.default
some files that I think they might be useful, that are called "sessionstore" (JScript script file).
Can somebody help me?

Cannot delete old sessions from SM35 - Batch Input...

Cannot delete old sessions from SM35 - Batch Input...
We have an issue, we are trying to delete old batch input sessions via SM35 and no
matter how hard we try we cannot get rid of them. They are still in status "In Process" but they are status incorrect.
Those sessions have long finished and some are more than 5 years old.
We have tried running rsdbcreo and RSBDC_REORG but it only returns with
Temse Error, running SP12 does not list any inconsistencies. Basically we want all jobs in SM35 that ran this year only available in the SM35 queue, we have sessions that have run from year 2004 to 2008 we wish to
delete.
Anybody experience anything similar or have any advice, sorry this is an environment that i have inherited and wish to cleanup.
We have checked the following notes 706478,76422,706478,76422 and many more.

When you try to delete, you will be asked whether you want to delete logs too.
Here try with 'No'.

Restoring session from sessionstore.bak file

I'm trying to recover a session lost after a system crash,I have a '''sessionstore.bak''' file from the time of this crash (about 1.8Mb),and a '''sessionstore-1.js''' file which I assume is a leftover from some time ago and not relevant for this issue:copying this '''.bak''' file in the profile folder and renaming it to '''.js''' has not restored my session, indeed only one of the 10 windows I had open at that time is now restored-Firefox is set to show windows and tabs from the last time,so why this is not working?
After that crash,not only my profile was missing but the cache folders as well,it all got moved in a C:something directory,maybe I should recover the cache folder also to restore the session?
Is there any other reason why a sessionstore.bak file could not be used to successfully reopen the last session?

* copy '''sessionstore.bak''' in the profile folder,rename it to '''.js'''
* replace the cache folders moved in the "recovered files" directory back in their original location
* replace a couple of missing '''userchrome.css''' files with some others from a previous backup
* delete that '''sessionstore-1.js''' as you suggested
Honestly now I have no clue about the deciding factor,but the pre-crash session is back exactly as it was,I wonder if the cache files are also essential to reopen such a large session (I also have BarTab installed,maybe this extension needs the cache files to work properly?)
Now about that sessionstore-##.js files you were pointing at,I assume the external programs accessing Firefox would be some security software,or do I have to search now for some out of control application ?

(oracle 10.2) Access to v$session from pl/sql code

I wonder if anybody can help me with the following problem as I have read some previous posts on similar topics but could not come to a solution so far.
The problem is simple: I need to select some columns form v$session from within a PL/SQL body in oracle 10.2.
Now, the "Application Developer's Guide - Fundamentals" reads:
"The owner of the procedure or package must be explicitly granted
the necessary object privileges for all objects referenced within the
body of the code."
However, if I connect sys as sysdba and run "grant select on v$session to <proc owner>" I will get "ORA-02030: can only select from fixed tables/views".
Any hint about this?

There is nothing wrong with your instance, v$session is a public synonym for the "real" view v_$session. You cannot grant on a synonym, only on the underlying real object.

Using a schema from a different Logical Data Service

Is it possible to use a schema from a different Logical Data Service in a new Logical Data Service? I want to maintain just one version of the schema.

when I try and associate a schema type the 'Select Schema Type' dialog appears. On there the scope is set to project. Next to it is 'All projects', is there a way I can get that ungreyed?I don't think so. I assume that is a remnant from ALDSP 2.x when we had the notion of an ALDSP application that contained multiple ALDSP projects and there was visibility across projects (actually just folders) in the same application.

And although the schemas could be accessed via catalogservices, this isn't a standard protocol (like http://) and therefore schema processors wont' be able to use them.
You could host your schemas in a web-application and expose them via http. Create a Dynamic Web Project and put your schemas where the content gets served from (i.e. alongside index.html), and then they would be accessible via http://<yourserver>:<port>/yourWebApp/yourSchema.xsd. All the schemaLocation in the imports would need to be relative. It would probably be easier to create your schema-hosting application first, then build your dataservices.

How to get Session from different namespace?

Hi,
I´m trying to get a session from a different namespace, how can I do this?
For example: I´m setting some session parameters with session.setAttribute in
a namespace called "customer", and trying to get this parameters in a namespace
called "main".
In my webflow, I am using a proxy node to call the page in the other namespace.
I will always recieve a session from the other namespace. But, when I try to get
the parameters, I think the session have been lost.
Can anyone help me?

Send parameter from one script logic to another. SAP BPC 7.5 NW.

Before i start, want to apologize for my English.
We work on SAP BPC 7.5 for NetWeaver.
In general, we want to send parameter from one Script logic file to another script logic file.
I will explain why :
1. We have parametr like %C_CATEGORY_SET% (and another four parameter, like groups, currency and etc.) that work on one script(next, i will named it A_Script).
 We will send this parametr from BPC EXCEL (we will create button, then use command MNU_eData_SelectPackage(we also set parameters) and run package that we need, also before we set script for this package by the SAP Guide. We send some data, and this A_Script work good. Everything that we want from this script work correctly. )
2. Next we create another script(B_Script) , and we want use %C_CATEGORY_SET%, but we don't know how use this parametr, if we will just write this parametr on Script Logic, apears error ("C_CATEGORYDATAVALUE" is not assigned to the Data Administrator). We try to solve this problem by using System_Constants.lgf, but we get error.

If we will change %C_CATEGORY_SET% for ACTUAL, and also change another parameters, script will work, package will run correctly. But we need using parameters, because we didn't exactly what will choose our client.
Our question have BPC Script Logic some kind of Globar Parameter(Variable), that we will set in A_Script, and then use them on B_Script?
How can we define parameter from another script logic, maybe we should send it?
Should we use System_Constants for solving this problem, if yes, how?

1. About %ENTITYSET% it is normal. Before this line i write :
*SELECT(%ENTITYSET%, "ENTITY", GROUPS, "[ID]=%GROUPS_SET%")
So it is not this problem. %ENTITYSET% just parameter, that i used.
2. Are you running the scripts using the same data manager package? I am running two different package for 2 different Script.
For example aPackage for aScript, and bPackage for bScript.
My questions was how can i send parametr from one script to another, for example i can run another script by using BADi command Runlogic, but how can send parameter that i need to used on another script. I have for example parameter %GROUPS_SET% (CG001) on aScript, but i can't get this parameter on another script, if i write %GROUPS_SET% i will get error ("GROUPSDATAVALUE" is not assigned to the Data Administrator)

Maybe if you will answer for next question, i will be able solve problem , How can i send parameter CG001 (this is %GROUPS_SET%, for example it stay in EXCEL in cell A5) from excel to script logic by running package. Maybe i can get cell value on Dynamic Script Data Management?
