how to recover password or reset to recover backup

Without the backup passcode the only option is to restore the phone and set it up as New. You get unlimited guesses for the passcode, so you might try a bunch of passcodes that you have used in the past. And to speed up the process just uncheck "encrypt backup" in iTunes and you will be prompted immediately for the passcode.
Elcomsoft makes an iPhone backup password cracker that will work if you are not in the habit of using strong passwords. It is targeted for law enforcement use, and priced accordingly. However, they have a trial version that will give you the first 2 characters.

How do I set up a new Apple ID iPad2 so I can use Facetime between my iPad2 when I'm on the road and my iMac at home?

All you need is the 99 cent Facetime for Mac application on your iMac.  Get it here:  http://www.apple.com/mac/facetime/
Instructions for setting up your iPad are in Chapter 7 of the iPad2 iOS4.3 User Guide

  • V240 cannot set admin password.

After installing a new motherboard in a V240 system, I started up the system.
It got to the SC> prompt. Now any command such as console -f
or resetsc gives me an error saying that the admin password is not set and to set it.
So I enter a password and reconfirm it.
But then when I try any other command again, it does the same thing "admin password is not set, to set it now"
I think the password I enter is valid as it contains letters and numbers and is long enough. It also doesn't tell me that its not valid. After confirming the password, the system waits for about 2 seconds and then goes back to the sc> prompt.
anybody know what the problem could be?

After switching the SCC card, I was able to set the admin password and use commands in the sc> such as poweroff/poweron.
However when I do poweron, the system says something like 'hard disk failure' for all the disks.
I don't understand why its doing this. After rebooting the machine, again i was having problem.
It got to a login prompt. I entered 'admin' but the password previously set doesn't work. I don't know anymore if its hardware or software issue.
There are no users created in the sc> because I was unable to because of the initial problem I had were the password would be accepted but wouldn't work.
This is a brand new motherboard just installed so everything is fresh (default).

  • Shared datasource using stored credentials still keeps prompting for password

We have a reporting services running in sharepoint 2013 integrated mode.We have deployed a shared datasource and used a stored credentials to connect to an oracle database. However, whenever i try to build a report and use this report datasource, it will
display a dialog box and prompt for the stored credentials password, and once the password has been entered, we can succeessfully connect to the oracle db and build our report. For security reasons, we can't divulge the password to the users.
Is there anyway where reporting service will not prompt for the stored credentials password whenever we use this data source to build our report. We have already prepopulated the password in the data source definition page. Please help

In the Shared Data Source, where you configured the name and password, there are two boxes that could be ticked:
    1. If the account is a Windows domain user account, specify it in this format: <domain>\<account>, and then select
Use as Windows credentials when connecting to the data source.
    2. If the user name and password are database credentials, do not select
Use as Windows credentials when connecting to the data source. If the database server supports impersonation or delegation, you can select
Impersonate the authenticated user after a connection has been made to the data source.
I'm not sure if Oracle allows for Windows authentication.  You need to tick one of these two boxes for the password to be passed through to the database.

  • Best practices for storing logon/password info

I'm curious what are the best practices and/or what other organizations are using to store the logon/password information that needs to be shared by several users. This could be, for example, RFC logon that is used in several interfaces; FTP logon, etc. Such information may need to be accessible to all the developers yet should be stored safely.
In my previous assignments this was usually managed by a Basis admin, but we don't have a designated admin here so it needs to be handled by developers. A suggestion has been made to store it in a Z table in SAP, but we're trying to explore other options.
    Thank you.

The SecureStore is a protected area only accessible via the SAP kernel functions. It is SAP standard (used by transactions such as SM59, etc) and is accessed by the system at runtime.
But if you only want these connections to be temporarily available (so, without stored logon data) then there is a guru solution you might want to consider for those access in ABAP systems.
For general password management of generic users or large numbers of them you can alternately also consider a [password-vault|http://www.google.com/#hl=de&source=hp&biw=1276&bih=599&q=password+vault&rlz=1R2ADSA_deCH392&aq=f&aqi=g3&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=&fp=ec103d87630c3cc0] . These can however typically not be accessed at runtime.
Shall I move this to the security forum, ABAP general, NW Admin or is someone still going to get themselves Guestified here?
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • What is the best app for storing all passwords in a secure area? osx snow leopard

What is the best app for storing all passwords in a secure area? osx snow leopard

Keychain is nice, but I prefer to use 1Password. It's got a nice user interface, and does what I need. It stores passwords, notes, identitiy info, credit card info, application registration numbers, saves hardware information such as your router settings, and more. It also has a secure password generator. There's an extension that keeps a button in the browser toolbar for Safari, etc., so you can submit your info (password, credit card) with the click of a button, and without having to type the information in through the website you are visiting. It also pays attention when you are signing in to a website, and asks you if you want to save the login to 1Password. Once you get them all entered, it's a big timesaver.

The link above says it is for OS X 10.7 and up, but if you go to the developer's website (link below), it says it works with OS X 10.6 as well. You can also download a 30-day demo from the link below.

That good but iTunes password within my phone on I me have and clout seems like it would store my password when needed it would give it to but it's not what I'm looking for I need help changing my password and storing my password and my phone for products

Post to the appropriate forum and you might get a better response.  Your issue has nothing to do with iPhones in the Enterprise (i.e. a Corporate environment).
Clarify the issue, as posted it really makes no sense.
If the issue is as simple as a forgotten password, go here.
Stop multi-posting, it just makes you look like a jerk.

hi guys i have 2 ? 1 my daughters iphone is trying to update on my mac cant get it off help please ,,, 2 i have an old apple id and when i try to up date it keeps looking for the password how do i delete this old apple id help

    Hi.
I had a similar problem myself. This is what helped me.
I went to the App store app, scrolled to the bottom, logged out of the account, re logged in with my Apple ID.  Then went back to app updates. Once I put in my ID password all was fine.

  • Want to reset the stored ID/Password for a site

I need to reset the stored ID/Password for a site. I entered the wrong ID and clicked Save on the pop-up for saving password for the site. Turns out I used the wrong ID to login and now I can't reset it to the correct spelling. It keeps overriding what I type in.

Highlight that entry in the drop down list and press Shift+Delete to remove it.

  • HT201359 I'm trying to set up my purchase account, but it keeps asking me about an iTunes code I have to feel  in but I don't know what is that code and where do I get it?

I'm trying to set up my purchase account, but it keeps asking me about an iTunes code I have to feel  in but I don't know what is that code and where do I get it?

THe iTunes gift code is an optional field, you don't have to fill it in - gift cards are an alternative method of paying for iTunes content, but as they are not available inall countries (and they are country-specific, they can only be used in the country in which they were issued), you may not be able to fill it in anyway. If they are available in your country then you might be able to buy cards from Apple, supermarkets, electrical stores etc
If you have a credit card then you can use that as your payment method instead. Otherwise there are instrutions on this page for how to create a new account without giving a credit card number (it won't with existing, or partially created, accounts) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534

I created an iCloud account for my sons ipod tried to sign into the App Store and it just keeps coming up with unknown error can you help

Skip the iCloud sign in for now.
Once you reach the home page, go to settings and sign out of FaceTime and Messages.  This should also sign you out of iCloud.
Go to iCloud in settings and sign in with the correct Apple ID.
    If that does not work
    Skip the iCloud sign in
Go to Apple ID.apple.com and sign in
Change your Apple ID to the old one
Delete iCloud account on your device with the old Apple ID and the same password.
Go back to the website, change your Apple ID back to the current one. You will receive an email to verify the account. Verify first.
Sign into iCloud on your device with the correct Apple ID and password

You may need to rebuild permissions on your user account. To do this, boot to your Recovery partition (holding down the Command and R keys while booting) and open Terminal from the Utilities menu. In Terminal, type:  ‘resetpassword’ (without the ’s), hit return, and select the admin user. You are not going to reset your password. Click on the icon for your Macs hard drive at the top. From the drop down below it select the user account which is having issues. At the bottom of the window, you'll see an area labeled Restore Home Directory Permissions and ACLs. Click the reset button there. The process takes a few minutes. When complete, restart.

Resetting User Password in Lion, Mountain Lion & Mavericks
Boot into your Recovery Partition by hold down the Command and R keys whilst booting.
When the Recovery screen appears, go to the Utilities menu and open Terminal.
    In Terminal, type:
    resetpassword
...a small app will open and allow you to choose the user for whom you want to change the password. If you are the admin, be certain that you choose your admin user. Type in your new password twice and give yourself a good hint. Click OK (or Done or whatever) and reboot, enjoying the use of your new, hopefully memorable, password.
    Good luck,
    Clinton
