How I can set configuration Asset depreciation area 2 to be calculate depreciation only but don't want to posting to depreciation account (expense and accumulate) and can reporting depre. in area 2 .

Error message when starting - Set Config. App.

New member here! I have searched an looked at these forums for some time but only now joined. Should have done it before.
Operating system is MS XP Pro,
Printer involved is HP LaserJet 1150
Computer is a Fujitsu LIfebook that is used in several field offices and at home.
On start or re-start, the final action is a screen message stating "Set Config. App. has encountered an error and needs to close". This is a Microsoft message and has the option to send/don't send an error message.
Sending the error message then clicking the more information button brings up a screen stating the error is in a printer driver with links to HP support.
This is an irritant rather than a problem because selecting "don't send" closes the screen and if I do nothing all programs work ok and the little message screen stays on bottom. The printer works fine.
With some time on hand, and not knowing which HP printer was causing the message, I uninstalled all printers and begin a re-install. I have the disk for the LaserJet 1150 which has an earlier driver. I downloaded the latest (2004) dirver and there was the error message still.
The only related thing I can think of is that HP Image Zone Express cannot be un-installed in any way. Using Control Panel - Add/Remove or using an un-installer program given to me by HP Chat Rep "Ariel". It never un-installed so when I re-installed the 1150, the old IZE was there to be over written.
I hope this is not to long, just trying to make it clear.
I will appriecate any help, as mentioned it is an irritant rather than an operational block.

If you tell the error screen to go ahead and send it then it will give a message to allow you to view the information that will be sent. Open this file and see which program of .dll file is causing the error, this may help to determine which driver is at fault.
Actaully sending the error report will also help MIcrosoft identify the problem and feed that information back to the company responsible for the issue.

Hi
Depreciation areas are used for different scenarios for calculating your depreciation. Normally you will have to calculate depreciation like book depreciation, tax depreciation, net worth depreciation, and like. These can be represented in depreciation areas and the depreciation area 01 (book depreciation) posts in real time as you said.

I have a question about Depreciation Posting Run; I want to block two active assets for not entry in the Depreciation Posting Run and don´t affected it.
I try to blocked the fixed asset in AS06 transaction but de active asset is affected in Depreciation Posting Run.

Hi,
To my limited knowledge, one can deactivate the assets after transfering the value from the to be deactivated asset.
As per the generally accepted accounting principles, assets with value should have an impact in our financial statment. In SAP, deactivating assets means, wrongly created assets which will not have any value and will not have impact any of your financial books of accounts.
I think, you are looking for a functionality, where you do not want to depreciate the assets (ex. Land). If it is so, you can give the Zero percentage by creating a new dep. key if you are using depreciation key based calculation of depreciation.

There is no customizing to change the field selection of transaction PCA1.
If you simply want to make a field mandatory, you can create a transaction variant.
On the following link, there is an example of transaction variant to make a field invisible:

You can use the same logic, but instead of 'invisible', you should check the flag 'required' to make a field mandatory.

- When I "creat asset". Why I click about "depreciation area", It doesn't appear anything. Although I configured FA.

Depreciation needs to be activated in an asset class to carry the depreciatio values of the aset class.
Check whether any depreciation areas are activated for your asset class in OAYZ. YOu also need to assign a depreciation key and a screen layout in OAYZ.

Firefox gpo is set in about:config but start page fails

Hello,
I have firefox adm & GPO 0.9.4 installed and working.
I see where the GPO was been pushed to the clients in the about:config screen.
The home button works correctly,
But the startup page always comes up as the firefox splash screen
and
New Tabs open up blank.
Here are my settings:

What prefs are being set and to what values?
Note that Firefox set some prefs automatically and may reset the Firefox profile folder if it detects a different Firefox version then has been used the previous time, so be cautious to set any prefs that deal with Firefox versions.

I changed the "keyword url" setting in about:config to allow it to be used as a google search box, but when I exit and restart firefox it reverts to its previous setting.

This is the URL that is in "keyword:URL" in about:config in my Firefox 4. I attempted to change it to http://www.google.ie/search?q= so as to use the address bar as a search bar. It works fine while Firefox remains open, but when I exit and come back later to open Firefox and use the address bar for search items I find that it has reverted to the default setting.

How do I set the about:config settings for all users? iprism keeps prompting from authentication for users.

When users log on and try to open Firefox 23.0.1, users are prompted with Iprism Authentication. We made changes to the firefox about:config values "network.automatic-ntlm-auth.allow.-non-fqdn" and "Network.negotiate-auth.allow-non-fqdn" to true and it works, but only works on a per user basis. How can we set this up for all users?

I would think the about:config entries discussed are ex-factory set to values each user has to change individually, after the installation has run its course. The solution could be to have patched files ready to install post factum:

Issue in setting up dervived depreciation area

Hi,
We have created the following depreciation areas in our development system ,
Depreciation Area                           Type      GL                                            Ledger Group
01 : Book depreciation                     Real      Area posts in real time             0L - Leading ledger
02 : Federal                                      Real      Area doesnt post                     -
We want to create a derived depreciation area : 03 ( 01 - 02) but when we are creating that system is not allowing because it is asking for a ledger group to be assigned. ( we have tried with Wizard and without wizard also to setup parallel valuation)
If anyone of you come across this scenarion , please let us know how this was met.

Hi,
do you have more ledger groups then 0L? If not, you can clear the ledger group information in area 01, that doesn´t harm. Then it should be possible to create the derived area without this problem.

When i hit the video url from desktop chrome browser,apache error log says:
[warn] Error fetching encryption params:/mnt/webroot/vod/sample_video.mp4
[error] mod_hlshttp [403]: Encryption error while processing /mnt/webroot/vod/sample_video.mp4, Ref: [6:Key uri missing]
And when i tried the video url on ipad device using the AccessPlayer Sample given by Adobe, the error log came as:
DRM error Major[3363] minor[0]NSerror:[(null)]
Any idea where i am going wrong?
Is the configuration i am going at httpd.conf accurate?

Though both Azure Blob and Azure applications support custom domain, one domain could have only one DNS record (in this case is CNAME record) at one time. For Steve's case, he has 3 domains, blog.smarx.com, files.blog.smarx.com and cdn.blog.smarx.com.
