Set configure IPv6 to automatically as default.

I am using an iMac running Yosemite 10.10.1. Whenever I startup, get mail, or try to print a file, I have to go to system preferences > network > advanced, and set the Configure IPv6 to automatically from its default setting of off. For some reason it always goes back to the default “off” setting. Is there a way to make “automatically” the default setting? Thank you.

Automatic is the default. I think you need to reinstall Yosemite:
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • Use System Proxy Settings - when this is selected in FF v3.6.6, does it adhere to the same local IE proxy setting? We use a pac file configured in "Use automatic configuration script."

Does anyone know what Firefox looks at locally on the PC when the "Use System Proxy Settings" setting is selected? It appears to be the default setting, recently changed from "No Proxy" of versions past...
Our company uses a pac file specified in IE under "Use automatic configuration script" - with this new default, does it adhere to the same setting in:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]

I may be wrong but I think that the "Use System Proxy Settings" makes sense only on Linux and generally speaking "other OSes". As far as I know there is no generic proxy settings in Windows operating system.
The one I know is in the registry part of Internet Explorer.
So in my understanding in Windows, Use System Proxy Settings = No Proxy

Nope. You can always reverse that if you choose.

    2. Check legacy owa redirect that you already configure
    3. In Exchange 2010 , Make sure that you already configure "Autodiscoverinternaluri" by this command set-clientaccessserver -identity "servername" -autodiscoverinternaluri
https://autodiscover.domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml. and don't forget to create autodiscover record in DNS
    4. in Exchange 2010 , Make sure that you already configure "EWS" path by this command set-webservicesvertualdirectory -identity "XXX\Default web site name" -internalurl

  • Network Settings: Configure IPv6, On or Off?

    Hello everyone.
A while back I read on MacFixIt that some experience slowness in internet connection after 10.4.5 update, and it suggested turning 'off' the IPv6 setting inside the Network settings, found at the bottom of it.
I was curious and click the button to find my 'Configure IPv6' was set to 'Automatic'.
In any case, I did not experience any drastic change in the speed of my internet connection after the 10.4.5 update; and I actually turn off my IPv6 setting, which again no so much drastic change in speed.
So the question is: Should I leave it on at 'Automatic' or turn it off?
Info: My iMac is connected directly (wired) to my cable modem.
    Thanks and cheers

I've tried it on & off & didn't notice any difference at all.
But - if you need to use stuffit expander - it'll crash on starting stuffit unless IPv6 is enabled. found that on stuffits forum after wondering why it suddenly wouldn't work.

    Hi,
To set up automatic clearing, follow the path below:
Financial Accounting-> General Ledger Accounting -> Business Transactions-> Open Item Clearing -> Prepare Automatic Clearing
Here you can define rules for matching documents while clearing the GR/IR or any other account.  You have the option of setting 5 matching criteria.
As an example, you can use the following 2 criteria for matching in GR/IR account:
EBELN (PO number)     EBELP (PO Line item).
    Cheers.

Thank you for the answer! I've found an option 'local-mac-address?' (the question mark is a part of the parameter name) in the 'ok' prompt.
    More info for next generations:
    1. Get to the 'ok prompt' (OpenBoot prom)
    2. Type 'printenv' to see the current settings, look for 'local-mac-address?'
    3. Set the parameter to 'true': 'setenv local-mac-address? true'
    4. Type printenv again to see if the option was actually changed
This option is also described in Gentoo OBP reference:

  • JMS Adapter - Set Additional JMS Parameters or Replace Default Settings

    Hi colleagues,
    We are using PI/XI 7.0 (SP 12).
In trying to set up a Communication Channel using JMS Adapter to connect to Oracle AQ, I do not see the checkbox "Set Additional JMS Parameters or Replace Default Settings" , nor is the table for the parameters / value visible.
We have deployed the driver file as described in the How-to- guide: How To Install and Configure External Drivers for JDBC & JMS Adapters
    [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f04ce027-934d-2a10-5a8f-fa0b1ed4d88f?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true]
In setting up the Communication Channel so far:
    Type: Sender
Transport Protocol: Access JMS Provider Generically
    Message Protocol:  JMS 1.x
    Adapter Engine:      Integration Server
After this I expect to see the checkbox  "Set Additional JMS Parameters or Replace Default Settings", but it is not there.
Therefore I am not able to select it in order to enter parameters like:
    JMS.QueueConnectionFactoryImpl.classname
    JMS.QueueConnectionFactoryImpl.method.setHostName
    JMS.QueueImpl.classname
    JMS.QueueImpl.constructor.... etc
Can someone please share if this because we are on too low SP or do we need to do something additional before it becomes visible?  Is this a feature that only became available as of PI/XI 7.0 SP 13 or 14 ?
I checked both Sender and Receiver channel type, and it does not appear for both.
    Thanks & Cheers,
    Jodie

    Hi experts,
We are using PI 7.1 and I've set up a communication Channel using JMS Adapter to send
messages to a Sonic MQ queue.
I need to send some values as JMS parameters, two of which are constants and two are values
from the Sender message. I tried defining and setting up the parameters with constants values
in the Communication Channel under the Advanced tab by selecting the check-box
set Adapter-specific Message Attributes as follows:
    Name     TYPE
    ContentType     String
    ReturnValue     boolean
    Name     VAlue
    Contenttype     CompanyCode
    ReturnValute     true
This however lead to an error in the Adapter Engine (RWB).
    My problem is:
    1. Can anyone please instruct me as to how to go about defining and setting up
       additional JMS parameters?
    2. How to go about defining/setting up variables that will get their values from
       the sender message?
    Thanks & Cheers,
    Joe

  • How to set the show properties as  a default in KM

    Hello All,
I am trying to upload the documents in KM repository using File-> Upload. If I click this Upload button, it will open a new window, it will show (show properties) this properties. But I want this one as default. Can any one help to set the (show properties) as a default?
    Thanks in  Advance.

    Hi Gowsika,
I'm sorry, but you seem not to get my explanation.
First, there is no such "switch" for "Show Properties" or "Hide Properties", and there is also not Resource Type "Show Properties". It is hardcoded in the UICommand "upload" (so in the Screenflow implemented by com.sapportals.wcm.rendering.uicommand.cm.UIUploadCommand), that if the ResourceType "normalrt" (http://sap.com/xmlns/cm/framework/normal-resource-type) displayed "Normal Document" is selected, you will see the "Show Properties" link. Only by changing the implementation of this UICommand you could change this behavior, but it's not recommended because you have to make sure on upgrades that you don't overwrite it again.
    So again my suggestion:
    1. Go to KM->CM->Configuration->CM->Global Services->Resource Types
    2. Duplicate the Resouce Type "normalrt" changing:
      Name: my_normalrt
      Resource Type ID: http://sap.com/xmlns/cm/framework/my-normal-resource-type
    3. Go to KM->CM->Configuration->CM->Global Services->Property Structures->Property Structures
    4. Duplicate "DefaultPropertiesStructure" changing:
      Name: My_DefaultPropertiesStructure
      Resource Types: http://sap.com/xmlns/cm/framework/my-normal-resource-type
      Structure Items: "Input_here_your_properties_and_property_groups"
BTW: If you want to have the same properties as in DefaultPropertiesStructure you might be obligated to remove some of them from the original Property Structure.
    5. Go to KM->CM->Configuration->CM->User Interface->Commands->UI Commands
    6. Duplicate "new_file" changing:
      Alias: my_upload
      Parameters: ResourceType=http://sap.com/xmlns/cm/framework/my-normal-resource-type,standalone=true
    7. Go to KM->CM->Configuration->CM->User Interface->Commands->UI Command Groups
    8. Edit AdminNewResourceGroup by renaming upload to my_upload in the "Commmand List" parameter.
BTW: It's advisable to duplicate the whole Command Group and use it in your Layout Set and not to change the standard configuration, but I will not describe the whole process here
    9. Now go to KM Content and use the menu Folder->New...->Upload
    Hope this helps,
    Robert

  • Set Reader to NOT be the default pdf viewer

During an msi install how do I set Reader to NOT be the default pdf viewer?

Just to add to this question:
On Mac OS 10.5, using Acrobat 8 Professional, every time Acrobat Pro starts up, I get the question "Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional.app is not currently configured to be the default application for PDF files.  Would you like to make PDF files open with Adobe Acrobat Professional.app instead of Preview.app?"
My answer is "No," but my preference in this matter is not retained.  I get the question every single time I launch Acrobat Pro.  Where is the button labeled "And don't ask me again!"  ?
I have combed through the Preference dialog and not been able to find any setting that seems related to this.  To be clear, I am not talking about what happens when I double-click a PDF file in the Finder.  I'm talking about what happens when Acrobat 8 Professional is opened directly.
    Thanks.

I have already performed the ap: set BOOT etc commands a dozen times with the same results.
It says: The system is not configured to boot automatically.
I've been trying to get this one going for 4 months now..it was knocked out during a power outage while upgrading it.

I didn't know how to get to global configuration mode - I did manage to get there with a bit of guess work.
    You use AP: Boot
Let it go through the boot process then at the AP> prompt, [enable] priviledged command set, type in password.
At AP# prompt type [config] then press enter for [terminal] at AP#[config] type NO BOOT MANUAL press [Enter] key and reboot AP.
Question...Do I have to use a WRITE command to write the configuration to CMOS?
I did just play it safe.

  • Setting the allowaccess option as the default in xlock

    Hi,
I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction with a problem Im having with Solaris 10 on a distributed system and the standard xlock application.
As I stated were running an application on a distributed system where we want to have the ability to lock down the operational processor with the command xlock and also have the ability to start and stop the application from another system while the processor is locked. This can be accomplished by running the command xlock allowaccess on the operational processor.
My question, is there a way to set the -allowaccess option in user defaults or some other place so when the xlock command is executed it automatically sets the -allowaccess option?
Ive already accomplished it in a script, but would prefer to do it within the system.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

I figured it out, it was just a matter of setting "alias -tx xlock -allowaccess xlock" in the .profile
