Set custom generated password during create user and email to user

Hi,
In OIM 11g r2, I want to generate password using some logic and send a notification to the user with the generated password during user creation.
Please let me know how to achive that..
can I use some post process event handler?? if yes then how to set the custom password to the user.

I read a way on another forum to fix this problem. Right click on the setup.exe and select "Run as administrator" this should solve your problem.

Which version of B1 using? 2007/8.8
There is a documentation about the licenses.
CRM Sales User (Standalone) was an old systems, and in 8.8 Limited CRM User is a real license type, on 2007 is means professional user.

yes, just make sure you turn off auto-sync to keep everything organized before you try syncing
on a pc
edit > preferences > devices - 'prevent ipads, iphones, and ipods from syncing automatically' needs to be checked

Hi to all gurus,
How SAP diffrentiates between high level user and low level users?? I mean if the licences are for 25 high level user and 50 lowevel users, than how SAP will categorize the high level and low level user licenses?? Is there anyway where BASIS person has to specify??

IPAD and Powerpoint (PPT) create, edit, and email

I am an independent consultantant and would like to give up my computer for travel. I create, edit, and email Powerpoint presentations often. How does this work on the ipad now? Is this feasible/seamless now? I love iphone but concerned about PPT use.

As far as I know there is no powerpoint app but you could check out keynote. Then just use the adapter to mirror the device.

Oracle9i AS (invalid user/password,During creating of database)

Hello!
I have installed oracle 9i in Advance server 2000 (domain controller) and when i try to create a database (any type) via Database Configration Assistent then during creating of database it give me the message invalid username/password. The point to be noted is that during creating of database it doesnot ask any username or password, so probably this is a some sort of post creating script with a difault password like SYS, SYSMAN, SYSTEM etc accounts. Please guide me what is the problem in my steping of database creation. (Remmeber i am loging into the server with Administrator's account.

My client want a report on each Monday on sales/purchase detail of his/her particular email ID which is automatically generated from SAP DB.
Some are SAP user that we can do it by alert message but for some who are not SAP user how to send them a email ?
Can we do in SAP B1 ?
even i try with Outlook but I am not getting.

SSRS - Intellisense for Security (Groups and Users) and email subscriptions

When I add a new user to a SQL Server (In SSMS), I can add an AD Group or user, and SQL server will verify their login name. It will reject if wrong and let me search Active Directory and verify names. In MS Outlook I can start typing an email
address and intellisense will help me complete it.
Is there Intellisense on the Report Server, so when I make a role assignment (giving permissions like Browser to a user) it checks their login or even completes it for me.
Is there Intellisense when I add email address to a subscription?
Was wondering if this is a setting I can turn on, or if it is just not available.
Any workarounds? How do I know I am entering a user correctly, what if I misspell?

According to your description, you want to check the if the e-mail address is valid when creating e-mail subscription. Right?
In Reporting Services, The report server does not validate e-mail addresses or obtain e-mail addresses from an e-mail server. You must know in advance which e-mail addresses you want to use. This is a feature by design. However, if you send a subscription
to an invalid e-mail address, the sender (your service account) will receive an e-mail which tells you the destination e-mail address is invalid.
If you really need to check the validation of the e-mail address before sending the subscription, we suggest you provide Microsoft a feature request at
https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer
so that we may try to expand the product features based on your needs.

Create workflow to email all users added to a sharepoint list when a document is created / modified

Hello,
I need to have a list, lets call it List A, that is used as a collection of users which will recieve an email when a document that is added or modified in a different library, Library A. Essentially I want the workflow to parse all of the users added
to List A and email them upon the modification or addition of a document to Library A.
I know how to setup the email but i dont know how to parse the list and create a dataset of all the users so i can set that in the To field of the email.

As I understand, you have a list to store user accounts, and you would like to send email to the user accounts in this list via a workflow associated with another library.
In my test, I didn't get all values of person or group value of all items in a list which is used to store user accounts.
I'd recommend you use a SharePoint group to replace the function of the list which store user accounts. Then in the workflow, you could send email to this group and the message will be sent to indivisual members of this group.

Password Protect Report Exports and Email

Hi there
My client's requirement is to automatically run, export and email reports with the report output (excel/word/etc) having password protection. Think this is possible with BI publisher, but wondering if there is any nifty way of doing this with Discoverer. For example now Discoverer is integrated with BI Publisher does this mean it's possible by creating report in Disco (potentially) then using BI Pub to automatically run, export and email results with pwd protection? Any other ideas??
This is an eBusiness Suite environment, Disco version 10.1.2, eBusiness Suite version 11.5.10 (they also have 11.5.8, but we don't believe we'll be doing this solution on tha environment).

I don't think there is any easy solution to this, but what we do at this site is schedule the Discoverer reports to run using the eBusiness Suite Concurrent Manager. We use dedicated Discoverer workstations to run the Discoverer exports and these could also be used to email the report if this was a requirement.
There is an article on my website (www.cabotconsulting.co.uk) about scheduling Discoverer reports using the Applications 11i concurrent manager and you can also search this forum for scheduling and email for information on how to email reports.

Yup. It means, in Limited Professional, you can display posted documents, view reports etc. & can create/change through single transaction, e.g. FB60. It is generally provided to management/heads.
Professional license is a fully functional license. You can use any transaction no matter if its create, change or display

Palm User and Potential BlackBerry User Looking for Info

I have long been a Palm PDA user and combined that with a 'regular' cell phone. For a variety of reasons, I am considering a Blackberry Pearl. I have found it surprisingly difficult to find good information to help me make the decision and I am hoping for some feedback here.
1 - How difficult is it to transfer my Palm data to the BlackBerry? In particular, will my extensive collection of Memos on my Palm transfer and be usable in the BlackBerry? Will all notes, included in my Palm address book, transfer to my BlackBerry contacts?
2 - Does the BlackBerry desktop software function like the Palm Desktop? Am I able to view and enter information at a desktop PC via the BlackBerry desktop software?
3 - Can I use the BlackBerry data in other applications? For instance, can my BlackBerry contacts be used to create mailing lists in Word or Excel?
4 - What does the BlackBerry allow me to do with data? Can I customize calendar entries with colors or categories? Do I have the ability to format text using color, bolding, underlining, etc.?
5 - Can I download and substitute third party apps for the BlackBerry apps, the way I can in Palm?
6 - My email client is Outlook, but my email service is provided by Google Apps. Any glitches there?
7 - Will BlackBerry sync to Outlook on my desktop or to Google Apps? Or is it my choice?
8 - What frustrations may I encounter? In other words, what does the Palm do (or do better) that the BlackBerry does not (or does not do well)?
9 - How will my expectations be exceeded? What does BlackBerrry do (or do better) that Palm does not (or does not do well)?

1: Not difficult, there is a Device Switch Wizard availible in the Dektop Program for BlackBerrys.
2: No, the BlackBerry Desktop Software does not function like the Palm Desktop. You can sync it with Outlook or Lotus.
3: I am not sure what you mean by that. But you can sync the contacts to your desktop also in a .csv file and create mailing lists through that.
4: The BlackBerry calendar is different then the Palm's. It does not allow you to customize calendar entries with colors. But there are 3rd Party Calendars availible. The well known Palm-Calendar called Agendus will apparently soon be availible for BlackBerry.
5: Yes, 3rd party apps are on the rise at the moment; not yet as many as for Palm but there are many utilities and applications availible that improve the OS.
6: Google Mail also works with BlackBerry.
7: Choice
8: Palm has a better built in calendar; no doubt about that. Some functions are missing in the BlackBerry OS but for most of them there are utilities availible for download (for $). Overall I would definitely recommend the BlackBerry devices. I changed from a Treo 680 in December and did not regret it at all! You always have to get used to new devices but with the BlackBerry it is very easy to get used to!
9: Push eMail, better Browser, faster System, more Filespace, newer OS, nicer UI, easier to handle with the navigation Ball, no Touchscreen that can break, better built, newer hardware... there are many things, buy one try it!
