Set Date and Time - 5 Week Month Doesn't Show Last Line

Hi all,
I'm working with Labview 9.0 (32-bit) on Windows 7 with a 125% system font size. When I open the Set Time and Date dialogue box, months with five lines of days cause the window to cut the last line in half. Is there any way to fix this? I've tried messing around with picktime.vi in [LabVIEW]\resource\dialog\, but it won't change the dialogue box (and I'm told that it's not supposed to?).
I can't upgrade to a new version (my company only recently upgraded to Labview 2009, and wants to keep it for stability reasons) and I can't change the system font size because 125% is the standard. Someone suggested changing the font sizes in Environment to be smaller, but I can't do that either - I need the current font size.
Solved!

I don't think you are going to be able to.
You said you can't change the font size from 125%, that it is "the standard".  Whose standard?  The Normal setting for Windows is 96dpi.
I know I had problems in the past when we used an older NI program written in LabVIEW.  Because we used it on a Laptop with a small screen, I wanted to have a larger Windows setting to make text readable.  But it would cause problems because the layout of the front panel and location of buttons and such were based on a "normal" Windows setting.  What would happen with a Large setting is that buttons would grow and start overlapping.
LabVIEW is a program where changes from the default Windows settings aren't often handled very well.  If the Time/Date dialog is based on a LabVIEW VI like it appears to be, then I'm not surprised using a different setting will cause problems.

  • Set Date and Time Automatically...doesn't

We've noticed that the setting to automatically synchronize date and time to Apple's time server doesn't work if the system preference is 'locked'
In other words, if the user that's logged in currently, isn't an admin user, then the machine doesn't set the date and time automatically.
As soon as you unlock the system preference by clicking the padlock at the bottom, the date and time sync as they should.
    Anyone else noticed this?

We do want the clock correct. The issue here is that the internal clocks drift - as I understand it, this is the one of the main reasons behind using a network time server.
With the Date and time preferences set to 'Set date and time automatically', the but with the lock at the bottom corner locked- it's as though being locked is preventing the automatic date and time settings from updating.
But the preference is checked on, and so the clock should be 'resetting' itself as necessary.
To give an example- say the machine has been off for a while, and unplugged. This will cause the machine not to know what the Date and Time is. When the machine starts up, the preference should kick in, and the machine should 'Update date and time' automatically.
But it doesn't. So long as that padlock is locked, even though the preference is checked on, the machine will not alter the date and time - until the padlock is unlocked.

My apple tv stuck at setting date and time. Also when connecting yo network doesn't ask for network password

I just went through this last night. (Aug 15, 2013)
What I did to get back up and running. This is not the first time I have lost the network connection with my Apple TV 3
Products effected: Apple TV 3 and Home Sharing (My Apple TV 1 was not effected)
Power down (unplug) the Apple TV and power down your router ( in my case, it is a FIOS router, flipping the on/off works fine).
    Power both items back up.
At this point, I usually can reenter my Apple ID and PW. and reconnect Home Sharing.  But for some reason I was unable to reconnect last night but was able to get it reconnected in the morning. I was jut to tired to deal with it last night.
A new issue that is was able to fix after a good nights sleep.
I did figure out, (after trying to reenter my ID and PW many times and having it tell me that my ID and PW was wrong), that when using the Apple TV on screen keypad to type in the user ID. DO NOT use the ".com" keypad button. Instead type out each character for .com. ( or what ever ending you use for your ID account.)
Once I typed out my full ID and PW. everything is back to 100%

  • Why is the screen from my Apple TV doesn't go past setting date and time and the screen stays black

My Apple TV screen turns on black and stays on setting date and time a few seconds after that it stays black but on light is still on and nothing else happens,I can't get it to do anything else!I just moved and have a new router and I think that might be the reason but I don't know! Please help!!!!

I have the same issue and seeking an answer...
I have already reset my ATV3 to factory defaults twice and connected it directly to the router, but the problem remains the same... BTW, I connected it to the two routers of two different networks I have at home... It reacts the same to both nw....
    Any ideas?

  • I am getting a message "setting date and time...." but nothing happens

My Apple TV has stopped working. I start up and it says "setting date and time...." but I cannot access the internet.

Assuming this is not the first time you have used your Apple TV
You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    Also try restarting the router.
If the problem persists, try a restore, you may want to try the previous procedures several times before doing this.
If restoring from the Apple TV doesn't help, try restoring from iTunes using a USB cable.
If this is a new Apple TV, in addition to trying the above, it may also be that your network router is not allowing access to the timeserver, check that your router allows access over port 123.

Click on DU's Partition tab when you have the raw drive name selected, then set it to one partition, Mac OS Extended. If it crashes or freezes, it is finding a bad block and can't write.
In any event, if you want to use the drive, and have not zeroed it before, you should now.
Click on Erase -> Security Options -> Zero out data. Still with the full drive selected and not any partition(s).
Then repartition the drive if needed.
Boot from the DVD if that doesn't work. And no, TTPro has never mapped out bad blocks let alone create partitions.
Disk Utility in 10.4.8 is quite good, excellent in fact. No need for an alternative.
Your eMac drive may need to touch of Disk Utility itself. FSCK from the command line, clear the caches with Applejack along with check for corrupt plists. Between Disk Utilty and Applejack (free/shareware) never had to use TechTool Pro - or at least there weren't any errors after those two got done. But if you want a good 3rd party, pick up Disk Warrior 4.

  • Stuck on setting date and time

Apple TV is new, straight out of box.  I'm getting to the screen that says "Setting date and time. . ."  Then it stays stuck there.  If I bypass this screen, everything except date and time is set up, and because this is not set up, nothing is working.  All other devices hooked up to wifi in the house are working and I've unplugged and reset the Apple TV and the router.  How do I get this device to set the date and time?

  • Apple Tv is stuck on setting date and time.

I have my Apple Tv hooked up to my cellular network and it won't go passed the setting date and time screen. any ideas why it's not working?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
I don't have an answer to your specific question but trying to use the Apple TV with a cellular connection is not advisable, you will use up your monthly allowance in minutes.

lost config and cant set date and time apple tv less than month old

    Hello there, Terriiris.
I had a similar issue and what worked for me was power cycling my wireless network and the Apple TV.  However, if the issue persists, here are a couple articles that will walk you through troubleshooting this issue.

    Apple TV: Troubleshooting wireless connections

  • "RT Set date and time" does not set seconds in UTC mode

    Hallo,
I tried to set the time on my cRio 9012 with the function settimeUTC which is used by the "Set Date and Time" vi. But the seconds I enter are ADDED to the current time and not set as new value.
Even the vi shows this behaviour: I set up a vi in which the time is set in a loop (100ms delay) and read again. When I set local time the clock stops (as expected) but when I set the UTC time the seconds keep on running...
Can anybody help me with that problem???
    Thanks
    Florian
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Andreas,
well it does not matter if I set a time zone in the MAX or not. In my example I was working on UTC + 0 but even when I set it to my local time (UTC + 1) I get the same behaviour modified by one hour.
My LabView Version is 8.5. In in the MAX under Software-> LabView-RealTime it says that I am using 8.5.0.
I suspect  that the settime.out which is installed on the cRio is probably the root of the problem as VxWorks itself does not offer a function (at least I did not find one) to convert from broken down system time to system time in seconds. There only exist one to convert from broken down local time to system time in seconds ( mktime() ). The reverse function is available for both cases: gmtime() and localtime(). I also did not find a way to find out the offset of the local time. So I have to use the library function settimeUTC() from settime.out.
As I offered I can send you the settime.out file from my cRio for reference or maybe you can tell me how to find out what the version of the file is. It seems not to be an ELF file as I looked inside it to find some timestamp or version info...
    Thanks so far
    Florian

  • Is there a way to force time can only be set to "Set date and time automatically"?

I am using OS X 10.9 .5 , and here is what I want to do.
When you click "Open Date & Time Preference", you will find an option that states "Set date and time automatically". And of course you can chose not to do that, and adjust the time.
But can you remove that option? So your OS X is forced to chose the mode "Set date and time automatically" no matter what you do? (aka you can't adjust the time by yourself now.)
Is that possible? Is there an app that can achieve this goal or can you do that at Terminal?
    Thanks in advance.

There's a similar setting in iPhoto preferences (in iLife '08 versions and later), or in Image Capture preferences (if you're using iLife '06 or earlier). Check those settings as well.
