Set Exchange AddressBook as default Apple AddressBook ?

Hi,
I've just switched to Snow Leopard and I am a bit dissapointed with the connection between Apple AddressBook and my Exchange account.
Context:
- I have a personnal Exchange 2007 account (www.1and1.fr).
- I use Mail and AddressBook on my Mac.
- My Exchange AddressBook is synchronized with my Apple AddressBook, and it works pretty well.
- The issue is: I can't set my Exchange AddressBook as my default AddressBook. For exemple, when I want to add a "Face" in iPhoto, iPhoto doesn't see my Exchange contacts in the AdresseBook and work like if I have no friends. Exactly, it seems that only Mail is able to see my Exchange contacts.
- The only "solution" I have found is to copy all my Exchange contacts in AddressBook contact, but in this case I lose the synchronisation between my Exchange Account and my Mac.
So, can I set my Exchange AddressBook as my default Apple AddressBook ?

Hi,
I'm ok that iLife software doesn't support Exchange. Otherwise, there are different directories in AddressBook and I think it won't be difficult to let the user choose the directory set as the default one.
After that, each program wishing to use the address book, could connect to the AddressBook software and read information from the default directories.
I don't want my "Microsoft Man", but this could be solved by changing one "registry value"

Maybe mobile or client fails to download will cause this problem.

Set EXCHANGE as default contacts account

On my iPad2 I was able to set EXCHANGE as default Contact Account but can figure out how to set wife's new iPad Mini the same way to access my Contacts

Here is a picture from the internet of where the setting is that you need to change. The contacts should be synced if you have the account setup.

When I email myself a picture from my iphone 4s, the email is sent from an email account that I don't have set up as the default account. How can I set it up so that the emails are coming from the default account selected in Mail?

Under my mail tab, it shows that I have a specific email account set up as a default account. That is the account I would like for me emails to be sent from. But when I actually send out an email such as a picture, it is being sent from one of my different email accounts that is not set up as the default. How can I change this so that future messages will be sent from the default account? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!

A photo attached to a message with the iPhone's Mail app is sent as a true attachment to the message. How an inline or viewed in place attachment appears on the recipient's end depends on the recipient's email client. If the recipient's email client does not support viewing an attached photo inline or viewed in place within the body of the message, the attached file must be manually selected and opened to viewed.
I am getting the email with the Picture Inline ( not as attachment),The picture is shown distorted , no metter what i do and with what mail client i am using (Gmail\Hotmail\My Enterprise exchange mail), i still get the same behavior.

Mini adapter to HDMI cable into my tv. No problem streaming movies last night, today all I see is some default apple background on my tv. Don't know quite what to do in System Pref's and Appearances. Please Help

I know its an issue with the computer because when I messed with Appearance settings in System Preferences, the tv picture changed.

So, this is an iMac, and you have an HDTV attached to it as its second screen... Is that correct?
Typically, if the HDTV is acting as the iMac's second screen, it is extending the Desktop. I'm thinking that when you had "no problem" last night, it was set so that the second screen was mirroring what was on the iMac's screen (NOT extending the Desktop). In other words, if you had the movie playing at full screen on the iMac's screen, the same thing appeared on the HDTV screen.
You may have changed that setting so that it is not mirroring anymore. The second screen would then be extending the Desktop. In that case, you would see the "default Apple background" on it until you moved something onto that part of the Desktop (like an open window).
Open System Preferences Displays pane. Go to the Arrangement tab. If the diagram there shows representations of two screen (the iMac's screen and the HDTV screen), the HDTV is set to extend the Desktop. The setting (checkbox) for mirroring should be there, toward the bottom.
However, mirroring is probably NOT the best setting for your setup. If what I wrote so far has been relevant for your original question, you can post back for additional info...

In iTunes, try signing out of your Apple ID & then back in: click on iTunes Store on the left sidebar of iTunes, click on your Apple ID on the top right, sign out, sign back in. Then try to sync your purchased music to your phone again.

No, the 1080p option would re-compress the file as a 1080p H.264/AAC file. This means the compression format may be chaged from its original compression format and that the quality MAY be reduced due to the process of recompression. Basically, it all depends on what the original compression format, settings, and quality were like to begin with. If the original data was in a low compression editing format, then recompressing the data to H.264/AAC should produce a much smaller file with little or no loss in visual quality while recompressing a high compression format may produce little or now change in the file size but noticeably reduce the visual quality. Since "quality" is a highly subjective term, you should really be running your own tests to see which output you prefer rather than asking for opinions from others here.

Depends on what you mean by "change" the default settings. The Apple H.264 presets are context adaptive in nature. They are, within certain limits, self-adjusting depending on the video content being transcoded and the specific preset selected. For instance, small target dispay dimensions will produce lower average data rates which means the final file will be smaller but you cannot manually change the frame rate, set key frame frequency, set a/v data rate limits, create custom anamorphic encodes, manually set the profile/level combination, set the entropy mode, etc.

I'm trying to set exchange rate not as default but using GR date (When I input the PO number and click enter, the exchange rate should be set). So when system set the exchange rate, it will use the PO date, not GR date.
What user exit / enhancement point / BADI should I use?
I've already tried all user exit and BADI for MIRO but still not succeed. Is there anyone who could help me?

Hi,
So as to capture Exchange Rate w.r.t PO date, it is suggested to go for Development/Enhancement with required import purchasing doc types in it. While doing GR and before posting the document you need to capture the Exch Rate as per PO date and replace with GR date Exch rate present in it through development.

VBRK-CPKUR (set exchange rate tick box). Anyone tell me wht this does? Is it driven from the billing document type? It is defaulted to checked for us and I don't want it to be. How can I change the default?

Procedure
The system can propose a value. You can change the value manually in the sales document. If you are allowed to change the exchange rate during billing, the system recalculates prices using the most recent exchange rate.

There's some confusion here. Do you mean the code to visit settings/general/restrictions, or the Apple ID and password to deactivate Activation Lock? Here's how to test.
First, go to settings/General/Restrictions. Do you need to enter a 4 digit code? If you do, then connect the phone to your computer and restore the phone from Recovery Mode as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808.
If no code is required to get into Restrictions what you need is the Apple ID and passcode that was used to set Find my iPhone. To verify that this is what is needed go to Settings/iCloud and turn off Find my iPhone. You will be prompted for your Apple ID and passcode. If you don't have them your phone is permanently disabled. You can contact Apple Account Security to prove you are the owner of the Apple ID and get the password reset. When I try to us Preview to email PDFs the Apple Mail client is the default mail client that opens. I use Lion and would like to set Outlook as my default. Does anyone know how to do this? It has been suggested that you click command-P, select PDF and add Outlook there but there are no options to do this. I am stuck and would like some help. I am using outlook:mac2011 version 14.1.4 and Preview 5.5.1

I did not find a way to change the target application for the "New Email with Attchment" service for files and folders.
