Set file path in report scripts

Hi All,
Is it possible to set the file path to save the extracted data in report scripts, if so please let me know how to do it.
We can choose the path when executing the script in script editor but how to set the file path in the script itself.
Thanks in Advance

You cannot set in in the report script itself.
But rather you can set the output file and path where the output should be extracted.
1. When you manually run from EASS console, you can specify the path and the file name
2. When you use Maxl to run a report script, you can specify.
Have a look at the Export Data
Hope it helps

  • Setting file paths

Is there any way I can programmatically tell java.io classes to assume that file paths are within the source file directory? I'm asking because the sdk does this by default but, by running in debug directories, NetBeans changes this.

If you get a file via Class.getResource() or Class.getResourceAsStream() it will find the file in the class path. The file can even be inside a jar file.

  • Where does the file path get reported from?

When looking at ZAM software information, it'll show the product name and then like:
    c:\program files\something\
Where does that path information come from?
    The windows registry?
Or does it actually come from the location of the .exe itself?

  • How do I set file path for "on my mac" folders in Mail 4.3

Hi, is it possible to set a custom location for where the emails are stored when in "on my mac" folders? This would solve all my problems!
Basically, I have some folders on my local hard drive which sync with Dropbox and I'm thinking there might be a way to do the same with Mail folders ... i.e. so I can access my emails in the "on my mac" folders from multiple devices (other macs, iPads, iPhones).
Don't ask me why I'm not using another way to do it! Mainly because I have too many emails in too many folders to move to IMAP, Exchange, etc.
    Thanks
    D.

Hi, why not just add this folder to sync with Dropbox also?
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Mailboxes
Other than that possibly using Aliases, Symlinks, or Hardlinks might work.
Mainly because I have too many emails in too many folders to move to IMAP
Hmmm, you can get a free Gmail imap account that'll hold 8 GB, & IMAP is really, really what you want.

  • Media file path in IP IVR - Run external VRU script

    Hi all,
I am configuring ICM script by using run external vru script which is located in IP IVR server. But, I am not sure how pass media file path from ICM script to VRU script.
Last time, I used  IVR version 7.0. I set the path such as: c:\MediaServer\english. Now, I am running IVR version 10 with en_US language.
    Any advise?

  • How to spool file to where start script file located

I'm writing a sqlplus script, eg. runMe.sql, which is going to run in customer env, will generate some data files eg. result.csv.
By specify location such as 'spool /certain/path/on/disk/result.csv', I can spool to any path I want. However, my concern is  below:
    1. We gets many customers and the script might be run under different location.
    2. I don't know where customer would save the script, furthermore, I don't want customer to input location manually every time.
    3. Generally, customer would run the script something like "sqlplus username/password@sid @/certain/path/on/disk/runMe.sql". They don't want to pass any parameter at run time.
    4. I wanna spool file to "/certain/path/on/disk" automatically, as a result, result.csv file would appear under same path with runMe.sql.
    5. I tried "spool ./result.csv" but it navigate to where sqlplus session is running.
    6. Also tried &0 etc, but make no sense.
Can anyone tell me how to obtain start running script file path in sqlplus script(runMe.sql) ? Just like access command parameters under Linux.
$0 is the name of the command
    $1 first parameter
    $2 second parameter
    $3 third parameter etc. etc
    $# total number of parameters
$@ all the parameters will be listed
    Thanks in advance.

Are you looking for SQLPATH ?
A good and clear example by Paul @ https://forums.oracle.com/message/3727891
In this way your customer has to set one environment variable SQLPATH=/location/of/script/file/where/they/put/your/runMe.sql and just say :
    spool %sqlpath%\result.csv
in your runMe.sql.  So, runMe.sql and result.csv will be on SQLPATH location.

  • Pg Number, File path and date automatically printed?

Is there a way to automatically print the page number, complete file path and date at bottom of each  page (set to landscape)?
    Thanks!

    Thanks Carlos,
It looks like the work72a would work if we were using macs, but we're not...
And there is NO WAY my boss will pay $999 for the other one, even if it did work.
So, now I'm open to other suggestions. We have hundreds of clients that we do work for, and our jobs are organized in folders for each client. A lot of clients with the same name but different locations (ie., Fox Meadow OH, Fox Meadow TX), and each has a different folder. The files are named by dept and year (ie., 2012 Glass, 2012 Art). We often access old files (which, there are thousands of, because they have been organized this way for years.) We need to have the client folder on the page along with the file name (hence the file path).
The script that Carlos created is great, but there are too many steps. Open the script, change location and select info to be displayed (3 steps), close script. There are days we access 50 jobs and the script just added 5 plus steps to each job.
Is there a way to use a hot key run a script that will place the info when and where we need it and auto close the script? Or is there a way to display the full path (in the Illustrator tab?) where we can see which folder the file is in and we will manually type the folder? Or does anyone have another suggestion?

  • Illustrator path to Presets/Scripts including locale

    Hi,
I've made a little jsx Illustrator script I'd like to pack as an extension.
Looked at MXI tech note Path Tokens appending and found the $presets token.
Unfortunately it does NOT include the locale in it's path.
For example, my path is /Applications/Adobe Creative Suite 5/Adobe Illustrator CS5/Presets.localized/en_GB/Scripts
For other locales that will be different and the $presets toke doesn't help, it's the sames as $illustrator/Presets.localized as far as I can tell.
How can can I set the path of my script to Illustrator's Scripts folder from my MXI ?

    Hello Carl,
Thank you very much for taking your time for this.
It looks promising, but unfortunately this doesn't fully work as expected.
I've updated XManConfig.xml as advised and repackaged/installed my script
but it gets written into en_US instead of en_GB.
Not sure how the $LOCALE token works.
The 'workaround' I have in place at the moment works, but it's pretty messy/hacky:
I copy the script for EVERY locale illustrator has.
Even with this, I'm not sure if all the possible install locales are the ones that are listed
    in the Illustrator Download page:

I really hope you're solution can be tweaked to work as it would be cleaner to update XManConfig.xml along with the script than making loads of unneccesary copies.
Regarding the next release, yes, the localized presets token would be very helpful.

  • Report Script "Parent" question.

    Essbase 7.1.5 on Solaris 5.9.
We have a business owner who will be manually maintaining his "Entities" dimension, and would like to be notified when the source cubes (7 different cubes)that he is trying to stay in sync with are updated. Since the .olg output is not plain English enough for the business owner to track changes, we have written a Perl script to check for changes in a file, in our case Old Entities against New Entities (files generated from Report Script).
Since it is common for level 0 members to change parents (stores moving to different districts) I would like to be able to show the Parent of each member in the report script. I am trying to use the <PARENT function but have been unable to get it to work the way I want it to.
I need to not have to put the "mbrname" hardcoded as its parameter, but I need the resulting members of
    <LINK(<idescendants("EBIT"))
to be used as the "mbrname" parameter.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
BTW, I have considered Outline Extractor but we are running on a Unix environment, and the user is monitoring only a subset of each dimension so checking and reporting ALL dimension changes could show extraneous information.

If a reference outline is available, the otlcomp.exe program can run on a client and generate a spreadsheet that lists the differences for them in plain english. Yes, it lists all changes, but each dimension has it's own tab making the comparison a little less confusing.
You can get it from www.dougware.com in the download section. It may or may not be what you are looking for.

  • Set file extension (.jpeg)

    Hi folks
I made a VI where I capture pictures whenever I hit a boolean and they are automaticly saved in a map with the names 0,1,2,3,4,5,... ,  but that ain't important for my problem. I use the IMAQ write file2.vi to write my file to the set file path. This .vi got the function to save the image as a .jpeg, .bmp, .png, ... . I select the .jpeg extension, but when I go to the files they are shown like this (without the .jpeg extenstion).
I guess that there is an easy solution to add the .jpeg extension after the file name, but I can't find anything.
Besides that there is something else which stands apart from the .jpeg issue.
I am taking a lot of pictures under different angles of an object and also save them like the example above. After I took all the pictures I want to proces them, so in order to do that I have to save the images together with the angle. I know that in NI Vision calibration information can be saved with the pictures in a .png file, but I was wondering if this also could be done with your own information. If this is not possible, is there maybe another solution to this?
    Kind regards
    Ruts

Append the string file name with ".jpeg" (without quotes).  Do this by using the concatenate string on the string palette.  Post some code if you are having troubles.

  • CS3 Templates managing relative file paths in AC_FL_RunContent

    Hi,
If I insert a Flash media resource (e.g. a .swf file) into a template, Dreamweaver CS3 inserts two sections of HTML into the template to display the resource; a <script> section and a <noscript> section. Then if I create a number of HTML files from the template which are stored in sub-folders which have different relative file paths to the resource from the template, then when DW builds the HTML files from the template, it correctly edits the relative file paths in the <noscript> section but does not correctly edit the relative file paths in the <script> section. So the resource does not display in browsers which have javascript enabled for the files which have different relative file paths from the resource.
Is there a solution for this that I can use with my CS3 other than: (a) manually editing the code by hand outside of DW; or (b) upgrade to CS4 or CS5; or (c) have multiple copies of the resource in different locations with the correct relative file paths from the HTML files.
I have read something about Edit > Preferences > Code Rewriting > uncheck the Active Content preferences but I do not know if that is in a different version of Dreamweaver because my CS3 version does not appear to have that.
    Thanks,
    -A Novice.

Oh, BTW, I forgot to say, I/we cannot use site-relative file paths because this question is posted on behalf of a school where the kids are taught to use DW to create web-sites but the sites are not actually ever published to any web servers. The sites are only ever viewed by previewing the site in DW or by double-clicking on the index.html page from Windows Explorer. And because the kids are not being taught how to hand-code HTML (or how to hand-code anything come to that), editing the HTML by hand is not a solution. Really, we need a solution where DW will do it automatically and properly (without spending money on upgrading to CS4 or CS5 (if possible).
    Thanks again,

  • TestStand API: Set relative path

    Dear NI community!
Could someone help, please, with the following - is there is some option to set file path to code modules, inside test sequence, to have relative, but not absolute path? I add programmatically code modules to sequence steps, but currently they have absolute path. Is it possible to change it to relative with TestStand API?
    Thanks in advance.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I was wrong. It's possible to manually cut path to file (according to Search Directories of TestStand). Then code modules will be added with relative pathes. But one should be careful - path should be cut correctly.
For example, I have full path
    E:\Development\source code\supplementary\TestVIs\Code Modules\Service\Print.vi
    My Search Directory is
    E:\Development\source code\supplementary\TestVIs\
So, I need to cut like this:
    Code Modules\Service\Print.vi
and without slash at the beginning!
    Then it will be OK.

  • Error trying to display a report file in FDM event script

    Hi
I am trying to display a file (report) during an event script and receive an error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" . The process works in version 9.3 but is generating this error during our upgrade testing on 11.1.2.2 (different hardware)
The file (check report) is getting written correctly the \OutBox\Log directory. The file contains a standard Check Report with a file extension .pdf ( lngFileType = 31)
We have no issues creating the file
We try to display the file on the screen for the user using the following code which fails with the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error and also a message "Could not load XML file:" with the file name and path
'Open report file in web client
    RES.PlngActionType = 4
    RES.PstrActionValue = strFileName
    Symptoms:
We can open the same file as text with RES.PlngActionType = 1
Everyone has rights to open/read a file in the directory
File can be opened manually and appears correct
Any help would be appreciated. I have not found similar issues on the forum. Support has offered no suggestions to date

Hi and thanks for your response.
Yes, we have tried all the various type of files ( ScriptActionTypes). The Type = 1 will open the file, but as a text stream without formatting, etc. If we try type = 3 we receive a different error message:
    Error: Invalid Report ID: 0
    Detail: Stacktrace:
    upsAppServerDM._clsAppServerDM.fPublishReport(lngReportID[Int32], lngPubFileType[Int32], strReportSQL[String], strSubReportSQL[String])
    Hyperion.FDM.Pages.ViewReportActionEvent.ExecuteReport(reportID[Int32], sqlStatement[String])
    Hyperion.FDM.Pages.ViewReportActionEvent.PreviewReport()
Also, the Validation Report is enabled (we are using check with warnings - ID133), I have tried changing the default Web Settings from .PDF to .html and back again and tried the various other default options available under Web Settings.
If we create a simple test text file, we can open the file as text (Type = 1)
Here is the complete error message employing Type = 4 (XML)
Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
    Detail: Stacktrace:
    Hyperion.FDM.Pages.IntersectionSummaryCheck.FillTitleRow()
    Hyperion.FDM.Pages.IntersectionSummaryCheck.Page_Load(sender[Object], e[EventArgs])
    System.Web.UI.Control.OnLoad(e[EventArgs])
    Hyperion.FDM.Pages.BasePage.OnLoad(e[EventArgs])
