Set Hierarchy for 0GL_ACCOUNT with BW07

Hello everybody,
during the action of the replication of GL_ACCOUNT hierarchy, emerged the problem that GL_ACCOUNT have in compound 0CHRT_ACCTS but it is not correctly mapped.
As a result before mentioned problem, the system is signaling the error in the hierarchy display.
Example:
It is expected in the hierarchy:
Account number = S651600110
Chart of account = PCAB
Instead we found the following result:
Account number = 600110
Chart of account = S651
The step followed
Using the transaction BW07, i have created a custom data source in SAP R/3 (our hierarchy is implemented in SAP with a custom SET in GS03).
In particoular we have flagged the field BW infoObject is Coumpounded.
Afterwards we have inserted in the field Data Element for Coumpounding following value : KTOPL.
Afterwards we have extracted the hierarchy level, using the BW's Infopackage.
Someone have any idea?

please have a look in the source of the executed Web Application. What is inside of the <div> with the id filter?
You should also find a td tag with id hier_xyz with xyz the filter inside of the <div>-Tag with id filter.
Also check whether you have a javascript error.
Have a look on the Javascript function set_style. Perhaps you can paste it here, than I can have a look.

Leopard os x 10.5 The printer will not print until I have the updated software. Ebay sell the
disc on their auction site, but only on disc not a download which is more convenient & faster
to get in a hurry.The software installed in the mac is working the way it should & showing up
as it would but it seems as though there is a driver that's needed. The results in any articals
that I have read suggest you don't need any drivers if you use HP EasyPhotoSoftware installed.

This forum is for OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Since that version won't run on your PowerMac, you're not likely to get many helpful responses here.
In any case, I'll try to offer some basic troubleshooting suggestions:
The PS designation on your printer denotes the PostScript printer language. Is your applications software and current printer driver configured to send PostScript (or HP-GL or HP-PCL or ???)
Does ANY application print anything (even gibberish) to the printer?

Does the printer time-out with every program, or just one? Have you tried another cable?
OS X 10.5 Leopard is no longer sold by Apple. It was never sold as a download, sold only on CD/DVD disc. Discs might still be available for purchase on eBay.
OS X 10.6 "Snow Leopard" is the oldest version of OS X still sold by Apple, and it too is available ONLY on CD/DVD for $20, but it will not run on your PowerMac, because Snow Leopard requires an Intel processor: os x snow leopard requirements

How is the printer connected to the computer? Are you using a USB interface, a Centronics 'Parallel' interface, or a JetDirect network interface?
It appears that the network timeout default for the printer was 30 minutes, but it can apparently be set in the range of anything 30-seconds and longer. The manual notes that some software does not send an 'end of job' postscript marker, so that is the reason for the time-out setting.

Best set up for Keynote with host projectors.

I'm a presenter that's made the switch from PowerPoint /PC to Keynote. Heading out on the road for the first time with my MacBook / Keynote presentation and facing 8 different host projectors. I don't expect to find many DVI projectors. But I'm bringing an mini DVI to DVI adapter, in case I do. I also will bring a mini DVI to VGA adapter. I'm running a 2GHz Macbook with 2 GB SDRAM.
I'm was comfortable making connections with my old PC with host projectors, but I'm anxious about what problems might arise connecting with my Mac.
Any tips on getting set up and settings right and minimizing problems for display.

Welcome to the world of the "road warriors."
The best procedure is to connect the projector to the computer (via whatever cables and adaptors are required) and then boot-up the computer. After this is complete, turn-on the projector.
When it has warmed-up, go to System Preferences / Displays menu and click the Detect Displays button. This should select the proper settings for both your computer display and the projector. If not, you may need to find the right setting for the projector by "trial and error." (You also may need to fiddle with some of the projector's own controls.)
Once this is done, go to the Keynote / Preferences / Slideshow menu and check the button that says "Present on Secondary Display." This will direct the slideshow presentation to the projector and the Presenter Display to your computer screen (see below). Feel free to check any of the other boxes that you feel are appropriate. (I recommend checking all of the square boxes.)
Finally, go to the Keynote / Preferences / Presenter Display menu and check ALL of the boxes. (You can choose whether the timer counts up or down as you wish.) This will put the Presenter Information onto your computer screen and show you a lot of very helpful information while you are playing your presentation.
Finally, you can adjust the position and organization of the Presenter Display if you click the Enter Presenter Layout button.
One more hint: Google the phrase "test patterns." This should bring-up a list of various TV test patterns. Find one you like and copy it into your slideshow as the first slide. Use this BEFORE THE AUDIENCE ARRIVES to adjust the projector's image and focus. Then advance to the first real slide of your presentation and you are ready to go.

Windows Explorer Plug-In Set-Up for BeehiveOnline with External Resources

I have watched the video on the Window Explorer Plug-In and trying to set-up so that multiple individuals can easily access files that are uploaded and make changes by checking in and out. Problem is that I do not see the Beehive Sites when I open the Oracle Beehive Extensions for Explorer. Do the Beehive Online sites with external resources use a different server name? I am logging in using the stbeehive.oracle.com Server.

Yes, BeehiveOnline is a completely separate system so you will have to set up the account on BeehiveOnline as well as stbeehive. The limitations of the Microsoft approach is that the OBEE required one connection at a time so you will have to disconnect and reconnect to see the other server. OBEE gives you more control than normal WebDAV access but it has its limitations. If you use the Desktop Integration Server or a webDAv setup you can have both servers visible in the Explorer window and drag and drop easily between them .

How to set proxy for mail with Gmail account

Hi, I'm using mail and set up a Gmail pop account. My mac is behind a proxy, say 192.168.0.1:808. I set the system http and https with the above address and can browse the internet with safari. But the mail app cannot receive or send any mails from the google pop/smtp server. Do you know how I can set the proxy for mail so that it can send and receive mail? Thank you very much!

I solved this problem myself by using an app called proxifier. It's a tunneling tool I guess.

How do I set up for Help with CS5.5? I don't have CS6 but that is the only thing I seem to be able to get help on.

When I select Help from the toolbar, I get more help than I ever imagined, for versions I don't have. How do I narrow it down to JUST the version I have?

Any devices connected to the same icloud account can sync all the data on that account. For this reason an icloud account is really for a single user.
On a mac, if each user has their own account, then the itunes for that mac account should be set up to connect to that user's icloud account (System preferences>icloud).

Not able to set databinding for dropdown with another list datasource

I have created one dataviewwebpart on the basis of list1.
Now I want to add one dropdown in one of the column which will display the values of another list.
So I added link datasource as list2 for another datasource.
I want to display versionID's from another list for the item present in the row to this dropdown and when user click on icon I will pass selected version ID and ItemID(available in the row). So the user will able to see the selected version of the
seleted item in another list.
But I am not able to select versionID form list2 in "Change databinding" for the dropdown.
In select a datasource dropdown its not showing the linked datasource of List2.
What can I do ?
Is there any other solution ? Am I missing anything?

Linksys WRTU54G-TM on the way, best set up for use with my Airport Extremen

I am about to sign up for T-Mobile at home which uses the Linksys WRTU54G-TM router for it's voip functions to connect to a standard phone. Currently I am on broadband (cable) internet using a Motorola surf board cable modem stashed away in my home networking cubby in my bedroom closet where it sends it's signal via cat 5e to the den where I hook up to my Airport Extreme and serve out the wireless signal.
I want to put the Linksys in the closet too, basically in between my cable modem and my Airport Extreme so things will be basically the same. Now I have read a little about the Linksys and it does have the option to run in "bridge" mode as does the Airport Extreme, what I am wondering is what is the best option, make the Linksys the bridge and continue to let my Airport be the DHCP server or the other way around and let the Linksys be the DHCP and bridge my Airport.
Sorry for the long question, anyone have any input?

Thanks for the input Duane, I was also thinking along with same lines that the Linksys might need to be the DHCP as it is the VOIP Gateway. I will try both and see what happens.
Luckily for me my home's infrastructure is a channel vision system that basically has a patch panel with a single input (combo RJ11 or RJ45) and 6 outputs. Currently I have the telco cat5e service line plugged into the input and then the rooms that I have phones in get their respective cat5e plugged into the output jacks. The cat5e cable to the office where the AEBS is located just goes straight into the cable modem.
I had planned on using the RJ11 output of the Linksys and using a short phone cable plugging the other end into the input of the channel vision (after unplugging teclco's line) so I can distribute to the rooms with phones as is now.
I guess ultimately the channel vision system could be better if it had a data side and a voice side instead of just having to use it for one or the other.

Questions on setting up PeopleSoft FIN AP Business Unit for India with TDS

Hi,
Does anyone here have some advice for me on how to handle AP transactions for a business unit set up for India with TDS (withholding) and statutory reporting.
We are configuring AP BU for India in our existing database which has other BUs for other countries not using withholding. For India the way we understood on statutory is that all invoices must be recognised for withholding at the time of invoice entry or payment which ever ealiest. For PeopleSoft we always have to create voucher before we can make mayment so the earliest occurace will be at voucher entry that withholding should be deducted (at voucher post).
The problem that we are encountering is that if we have prepayment invoice, we can use prepaid voucher to record this. However, when we receive the final invouce and entered into PeopleSoft the voucher post reversed the original withholding lines and recreate in the final invoice with final invoice amount. This could be in different period. As for the India rule the way we understood this is that the entries that created at prepaid should not be reversed, also those withholding might already be paid to the goverment in prior period before receiving the final invoice. The final invoice should have withholding calculate just for the difference of the invoice balance.
Our other problem is on the statutory reporting that all transactions should be recorded in that particular period. Our current setup has AP close period at the end of each month which means we cannot enter invoices raised in previous period or have adjustments put in the period that already closed.
Any help and advice on how companies that has India AP business unit deal with the above mentioned issues are much appreciated.

I don't mean where to set up withholding. I have alredy configured all withholding details and everything works fine in AP.
However, as India statutory comes in, I'd like to know how other companies handle cases like accounting entries for transactions in specific period if your system has AP/GL closed periods. Normal cases would be put entries in the next accounting period. But as my understanding on the Indian rules is that withholding must be recorded at the time of entering the invoice. So how should adjustment be made.
Another thing is the prepayment invoices, using PeopleSoft Prepaid voucher would cause the accounting entries for withholding lines to be reversed and then re-recorded when posting the final invoice (that matches with the prepaid). I would like to know how companies are dealing with such case as the TDS lines could be revsersed and recalculate in different accounting period. Also if the period that it revsered the TDS % could have changed and when the reverse happens it will recalculate withholding based on the new rate for the whole of invoice amt.
For example an invoice of 10000 INR, 50% is to be recorded and paid in advance so raise the invoice of 5000 INR in Feb. TDS is 10%.
- So vendor will be paid 4500 and 500 is for withholding.
- In April then receive final invoice of 10000 INR, record into PS as 10000 but matched to prepaid so the remaining invoice is 5000. withholding rate in Apr is now 15% so 15% should be applied to the remaining invoice of 5000 INR. As the prepaid voucher option reversed withholding lines and recalculate with final invoice total so the withholding to be deducted is calculated at 15% = 1500 (10000 * 15%).
- As the prepaid invoice withholding might have already been paid in March before the rate changed, the final invoice should have withholding of 750.
I'm not sure if my understanding of recording withholding for India is correct and whether it really needs to be recorded in the month that invoice is raised. As the way I understood and have been told it has to be recorded in that month. I.e. invoice received on 30 April must be entered into accounting period of April. Our business close AP/GL about a week before the end of month so if we receive invoice on 30th April but our AP/GL already closed on 25th Apr then 30th Apr invoice should go to May accounting period. As statutury requirement is to record this into April. How does anyone handle this?

How to set up Airport Extreme with Charter ARRIS Modem TM902A for the first time for WIRELESS.
When Charter Tech goes to your site, have them connect the modem up, but do not connect the modem to your iMAC or MacBook Pro. What you want to do is connect the Airport Extreme to the iMac or MacBook Pro first with the Ethernet Cable. You have to do this to configure via Airport Utility to set up the Base Station Name & Base Station Password.
You will then create/configure a Wireless Network, create your Wireless Password that will be entered on each of your Devices, example, Apple Tv, your iPhone, etc., you want to allow access to your Wireless Network you are creating.
Wireless Security will be -> WPA/WPA2 personal or just WPA2
Enter the Wireless Password you want
Verify the Wireless Password (enter it again)
After it is created you will see it on the Airport Utility window with the name you created for it and to the left, will be a Dot (circle that will be yellow).
Next you then want to unplug the power to the Airport Extreme, and then take the end of the Ethernet cable you unplugged from the iMac or Lap top MacBook Pro and connect it to the back of the Modem.
Next unplug the power cord from the modem and wait about 5 minutes, then plug the power back into the Arris Modem and wait until all lights come back on the modem wait
about 5 minutes, then plug the power cord back to the Airport Extreme and you will see it the light blinking yellow. Wait about 5 to 10 minutes, during this time Restart you IMAC or MacBook Pro, and once it is back up click on the Airport Utility and you should see on the Airport Utility screen.
For INTERNET to the left the light should be green and you should see the Airport Extreme also appear and the light to the left on the screen should also be green. If they are, you then should be able to click on the Wireless Symbol on top of bar of the screen and click to select the Wireless Network Name you created.
If you Do Not See the light (Icon) next to INTERNET turn Green, or if you see the Internet Light Green, but the Light (Icon) next to the Airport Extreme is yellow, unplug the power again to the modem and unplug the power again to the Airport extreme and wait about 15 minutes or up to 30 minutes. Then plug the power cord back to the modem wait till all the lights light up then, plug the power cord back into the Airport Extreme and Restart your iMAC or MacBook Pro.
The Airport Extreme light should change from yellow to green. Open up the Airport Utility to see what the indicators are showing they should both be green. Again select Wireless network you created under the Wireless Icon on the top right of the screen. Open Safari and see if you are able to Route to a web page or the apple site should appear.
WHAT TO DO IF YOUR AIRPORT EXTREME WAS PREVIOUSLY SET UP FOR USE WITH ANOTHER CARRIERS ROUTER OR MODEM.
NOTE: If you already had your Airport Extreme connected for example, I previously had ATT Uverse and the Airport Extreme was connected to the Wireless Router Model 3801HGV, I disabled the Uverse Wireless and used the Airport Extreme for the Wireless signal in bridge mode, as the Airport extreme Signal is much stronger than the Uverse router, and I was able to obtain a Wireless signal with the Airport Extreme way much better with no signal loss which was very very frustrating with the Uverse router.
Anyhow if you had it hooked up like this, now that you will be using it with the Charter ARRIS Modem TM902A, you will need to reset the Airport Extreme to clear out the old data it has in memory, with the previous set up otherwise it will not work. Trust me I spent 6 hours trying to make it work reading all Apple Support Community questions and answers relating to this type issue/problem others have been having trying to get their set up working. I tried all the tips, and I finally decided just to see if by chance I would be able to connect with someone with Charter Tech support who might be familiar with Apple to be able to assist me and by luck I did. He told me why it was not working and was all due the previous configuration with the ATT Uverse router was still in memory with the Airport Extreme. Finally it was 10:30 PM when I decided to call Charter Tech Support and I had been working on this since 3:00 pm pacific. I did not call them earlier as all the post I read said they never received any good help from Charter. After calling them I finished up by 11:00 PM and was able to finally connect Apple Tv, iMac, iPhones and Macbook Pro. We love our Apple Product and Happy all is connected with the new
Internet Provider Charter. I must say the speed is way way much better than it ever was with AT&T Uverse.
THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO DO:
First you will need to unplug the Airport Extreme, then by taking the tip of a pen or paper clip end you need to push the reset button on the back of the Airport Extreme and hold it
down and at the same time plug the power cord back into the Airport Extreme count to 5 or 10 then release the reset button. Then once he light in front of the Airport Extreme stops blinking you need to plug the Ethernet cable from the Airport Extreme to your iMAC or Macbook Pro, and restart which ever one you have, then open the Airport Utility once it is back up. If you see airport extreme pop up with the old network name or it shows and yellow triangle click on the Airport Extreme ICON it will not let you configure it but will ask if you want to get rid of it or remove and just do it. Then Again restart your iMAC or MacBook Pro, open up Airport Utility again, and on the top left you should see under “Other Airport Base Stations” the MAC ID for the Airport Extreme.

I just got a Charter Modem. Model TM822. While I was moving, my Airport Extreme was still at my old place.
I have a Linksys WRT320N I used for the initial Charter setup.
I can get my Airport to work here, but the Internet light on the Modem flashes Yellow.
Hasn't caused any issues so far but one thing I did notice.
On the Linksys there were 3 DNS servers listed.
The Airport Extreme only lists 2 and i don't see where I could add another, only change whats already there.
I tried everything above, but light on modem still flashes yellow.
I have the technicians cell phone. Told me "that shouldn't be" and gave the same advice listed above.
I'll break down and call Charter one day, see if it's on their end. NSA tracking may need a reset LMAO.

Best settings for show with just JPEG at 300 psi

My son is working on a school video project. The elements are music, JPG stills (scanned at 300 psi from a black and white negative) and text (a poem by Lawrence Ferlinghetti).
He will use the motion tools to zoom and pan on the images, etc.
Can anyone suggest the best set-up for working with black and white still jpg images. He will be using FCP 6 on Mac G5.

In the first (and most important) instance the video will be played off a standard Mac laptop (an old Powerbook) probably through a fairly basic school projector. Nothing fancy (no budget in public schools for anything like that).
I am playing about with the JPG set-up (square pixels at 720 x 480). Though my instincts tell me I should wait and hear and get the official line (or best practice as they say in some circles).
The images are scanned from a 35mm black and white negative as a 4x6 300dpi jpg.
I have color corrected in Photoshop and have made copies in a re-sized 720x480 screen size (if that will help).

Need to call SET ROLE for Oracle before running report

Hi all,
does anyone know how I can call SET ROLE for Oracle with Crystal Reports, before running report? I'm using Crystal Reports 2008 to design report (with Server Oracle connection) and Java Reporting Component to run report within a J2EE apllication. If anyone has any idea, I'd greatly appreciate as I'm in trouble.

Just a thought...
If your report's datasource was an Oracle stored procedure, you could call a function to set the role from that SP
You would be in the same Oracle session from Report --> SP --> Function, so the role would be retained

IMovie set up for Contour Shuttle Pro 2

I have a Contour Shuttle Pro 2 and am trying to get it set up for use with IMovie 9. I cannot find anywhere in the Contour or iMovie support sites on how to set it up. Anyone have any suggestions?
