Set init values for Edit Form

Hi!
I'm using JDev 10.1.3+ADF+Struts
I have some attributes in viewObject, and have related bindings in PageDef. I whant to set init values for that attributes in 2 cases:
1. Edit Form doesn't contain fields for entring attribute value.
For example:
Current_User
Creation_Date
etc.
2. Edit Form contain fields for entring attribute value. And i want that input fields display my init values.
The purpose is to perform it in onCreate event in PageController.
But i don't know where to put my values.
Any help will be appriciated!

Maybe my question is not so clear.
I mean, when we call event=Create i need to set values, but before Submit/Commit the Row in viewObject is not exist.
So I founded solution for this issue - to set my values in method 'create' of Entity Object.
I have another big problem i confused with. Would you help me, please?

Can't set intial value for cRIO boolean shared variable

LabVIEW 8.0 gives me a configuration error when I try to force an inital value for a Boolean shared variable in my cRIO library. Is that a bug, or am I overlooking some (probably obvious!) limitation of the cRIO hardware?

There are 3 screenshots attached to this post. Suppose I create a Boolean shared variable under My Computer in the project directory, then set the inital value as shown in BooleanInitialValue.gif.
If I drag a copy of that Boolean shared variable to my RT target block diagram, the run arrow breaks and I get the error shown in ErrorList.gif.
If I create a Boolean shared variable under my Real Time target (Compact RIO) in the project directory, then set the initial value and hit OK, I get the error shown in FixConfiguration.gif.

Using Auto Suggest To Set The Value Of Multipe Form Fields

I would like to use the Spry 1.5 Preview Auto Suggest widget
to provide the value for multiple form fields based on the row the
user selects in the auto suggestion data set. I've placed an
example of what I want to do here:

It appears that when the user clicks on one of the rows in
the auto suggestion data set, the current row for the data set is
not updated but remains the default (first row in the data set).
Therefore, if you have a spry:detailregion that uses that data set,
the values for that detail region are from the first row in the
data set and not the row the user selected.
Is it possible to set the current row of the auto suggest
data set to the row the user clicked on in the auto suggestion data
set so that the spry:detailregion will have the values from the row
the user clicked on?
I had previously modified the Spry 1.4 Auto Suggest widget to
do this. See:

Cristian: thank you for the reply. I understand your concern
about the user changing the auto suggest field after updating the
complimentary fields. I think that could be handled through user
instruction. Additionally, instead of using form fields to hold the
complimentary data I could use non-editable paragraphs.
I hope the change is not too difficult. I think this
modification would make the auto suggest widget even more useful.
For example think about a product auto suggest. User starts to type
in the name of the product, selects the full product name from the
auto suggestions, and now the page can immediately show in a
spry:detailregion all the product details.

HELP - i can't set field value in a form

Hi,
I created a form based on a stored procedure.
I try to set a field value on this form( the name of the item in the wizard is 'P_GG') from the advanced PL/SQL SECTION in the wizard, and, for exact, in "... before displaying the page..." i wrote:
p_session.set_value(
p_block_name => 'DEFAULT',
p_attribute_name => 'A_P_GG',
p_value => '20');
But when I run the form the field is blank

thank u for your reply.
I tried your solution, but there is another problem. I specified a default value for the form, using the syntax "#myfunction()".
The first time I run the form, i get the correct value. But whenever i run the form again in the same session, I always get the FIRST value: it looks like the function is not evaluated again. For example, suppose the function is
return to_char(SYSDATE, 'SS')
(just to have a random dynamic value);
you always get the value of the first run, even if you refresh the page.

UDF - Set Valid Values for Field

I have a UDF created in Marketing Docs / row level called UOM_Ordered (alphanumeric, length 2) using Set Valid Values for Field. Values are:
CS
IN
DZ
PC
Above are CS abrev for Case, IN abrev for Inner, DZ abrev for Dozen .................
If possible could I have say for example "IN" not to appear in the drop down if the value in OITM (UDF called U_Inner_Qty) is either NULL or a Zero? It's would be a way to stop mistakes when orders are inputted.
Any help on this would be appreciated.

You could try the following:
Insert a formatted search on the field, which contain conditions, ie whether the condition that the value is 0 or null, then bring the required data, while if it is not the case, applies the search formatted with the available data.
On the other hand, leave the form with all the options for disabled users. The latter through additional authorizations for users

Set initial value for numerical control

Hello LV users,
I have a VI that is used to initialize some experimental equiptment. It passes on a cluster of ten or so numerical control DBL integers as parameters. Everytime I open the programe the values are reset back to zero and I have to enter the values back in. Is there any way to set default values for the controls so I do not have to change them everytime I open the program.

If you want to set default values for multiple numeric control's in your cluster in one go,
-Type in the desired default values
- Right click on your cluster, browse to 'data operations'
- Choose 'Make current values default.
Similarly, if you need to set defaults for multiple clusters or multiple controls on your front panel,
- Choose 'Edit' in the menu
- Choose "make current values default' (This sets defaults for all controls/constants etc. in one go)

I have a test in my environment. It could be achieved by setting the Text Property of TaxonomyWebTaggingControl.

How to set default values for boolean columns

I'm trying to deploy some content types and columns into a site with a feature. All it's ok, except that I'm trying to set a default value for boolean columns with no success.
I've tried to set default value at column level:
<Field ID="{EFE23A1D-494E-45cf-832E-45E41B17F0CF}" Name="ScopeSpanish" DisplayName="Se publican noticias en español"

But in any case, when i create a new item with this content type, default value is applied.

2. I want to set default value for some selection items - This you need to achieve in initialization event of your program.

Extending flash: how do I set default values for filenames

I am trying to set default values for filenames
<choosefile> and <popupslider>s that will show up when
my XMLpanel first loads in my jsfl extension file. It seems that I
can only set default values for textbox items.
How do I do this for filenames and popups?
As a workaround, I also tried using a flash object dialog box
to look like a <choosefile>, or any jsfl command, but then
how do I return those values back to the XMLpanel that calls them.
and pass the data back to my jsfl script.

Create two constants for the Allocate Mode input (right click > create > constant). Place one in the true case of the case structure, and place the other one in the false case. Wire them to the same tunnel (border of the case structure), then wire the tunnel to the Allocate Mode terminal of the AO Config. I don't have Traditional DAQ installed, but that should do it.

I am filling some variables with multiple values in user exit.
Now, i would like to place some of these characteritics in Header area. It's of course impossible because there is multiple values but ...
I will put dropdown box in the web application for these chars. The problem is that by default, any value is assigned to the dropdwom ( any variable value is set).
Do you know how i can set a value for theses variable after filling all values by the user exit. SO that only one value is selected for the header and all others values available in the dropdown ?

Hi,
Off late, this seems to be a usual requirement.
Just create a Z program to call the FM API_SEMBPS_VARIABLE_SET and then call the FM API_SEMBPS_POST.
you should be preparing the content/set value to pass to the FMs. check the whereused list to see how this FMs can be used/called.
finally, run this program for your variable, after the loading/filling the exit variable. Please note that to set 'exit' variables, the sourcing variable's content need to be read/set first before setting the exit varible.

Situation:
1. I have 2 parameter fields in reports (dateFrom and dateTo)
2. Before running report in ASP.NET I change value this fields (dateTo = today, dateFrom = today - 3 days)
3.I use for this source:

I believe you need to create your own parameter promt screen. Capture what the user entered and pass that to the report(?).

Set default Value for a key figure

Hi Experts,
I need to enter a set o value for some char in a layout but for this set is not relevance a keyfigure. I know that there needs to be a keyfigure in the layout for the data to be saved to the transactional cube.
So is there a way to write a default value to the keyfigure without the user having to enter the keyfigure in the layout?
