Set JRootPane.windowsDecorationStyle=NONE from command-line

How can I turn off the decoration-style with a command-line option (-Dxxx=yyy)
(as if I would do it by typing jrootpane.setWindowsDecorationStyle(JRootPane.NONE) in the source code).
I tried "-Dswing.windowDecorationStyle=javax.swing.JRootPane.NONE " and some other variations, but could't achieve it.
Does anybody know how to do it?
Thanks!
Thomas Fournier

OK, I've run kickstart with every combination of options I can think of, starting with
kickstart -activate -configure -access -on -privs -all -restart -agent
Chicken of the VNC says "Please configure Apple Remote Desktop to allow VNC Viewers to control the screen. Unknown authType 30"
So I set up VNC access with a known password on another computer, and confirmed that it worked. (What happens when you VNC into the computer you're already on? Do you remember that scene in "Being John Malkevitch" in which John Malkevitch himself goes through the tunnel?) I then copied the /Library/Preferences/com.apple.VNCSettings.txt file from this known computer to the target computer, tried Chicken again, and got the exact same message.
So I deleted the aforementioned file on the target machine, figuring that would take me back to some sort of factory default settings. Chicken -> same message.
kickstart -configure -vncpw <contents of VNCSettings.txt file here> -restart -agent
Chicken -> same message.

  • Is there a way to set the binding policy from command line?

I'm unable to save the Binding Policy setting "Allow users to edit their own contact information" using the server admin gui. I click it and press save, but the checkbox clears when the spinner at the bottom stops.
I'd love to know where this setting resides or if it can be set via the command line.

I've finally found a solution to this!
Open the "all records" tab in workgroup manger, and find the OLCBDBConfig from the dropdown list.
Go to "{1}bdb" and expand "dsAttrTypeNative:olcAccess(23)", then edit the "{0}to" entry.
On my OD it was set like this:
    {0}to dn.onelevel="cn=users,dc=mydomain,dc=com" attrs=apple-mcxflags,apple-mcxsettings by set="user/uid & [cn=admin,cn=groups,dc=mydomain,dc=com]/memberUid" write by sockurl="ldapi://%2Fvar%2Frun%2Fldapi" write by dn.exact="cn=myserver.mydomain.com$,cn=computers,dc=mydomain,dc=com" write by * read
While it should read like this:
    {0}to dn.one="cn=users,dc=mydomain,dc=com" attrs=@apple-user-info by set="user/uid & [cn=admin,cn=groups,dc=mydomain,dc=com]/memberUid" write by sockurl="ldapi://%2Fvar%2Frun%2Fldapi" write by dn.exact="cn=myserver.mydomain.com$,cn=computers,dc=mydomain,dc=com" write by self write by * read
Note that I have an LDAP search policy of mydomain.com and a FQDN of myserver.mydomain.com.
I had to change bit by bit, starting with "dn.onelevel" to "dn.one", then "attrs" and finally the "write" part at the end.

  • Why not all jars picked up by ojdeloy and how to generate build.xml from command line and not JDEV GUI - quick question

    Hi All
We have 11.1.1.7 ojdeploy to compile our app.

1- Is it because it depends on how jpr or jws are configured ?
2- How can we automatically generate a build file of the application from command-line (as opposed to using Jdev IDE to click to generate a build.xml) ?

The first  warning is happening because you're stating drivers for input devices without need. You haven't disabled hotplug so evdev gets used instead of kbd. This is normal, and you should change the driver line from kbd to evdev so that whatever options (if any) you've specified for the keyboard get parsed.
The second warning is about you not installing acpid.
The third I have no idea about, but look at the synaptics wiki. None of the (WW) are related to your video card.
And every card that has 2 or more output ports show up as "two cards". You also don't need to specify the pci port in xorg.conf. edit: this is the general case with laptops, might be different for desktops.
    When I do lspci -v I get:

The Test project jar is created as ADF Library JAR File with Model.jpr as the dependent project. This takes care of project class dependencies
All the adf library dependencies are added to the manifest file of the Test Project jar referring to a location lib/ in the jar file directory.
I tried creating the ApplicationModule using both Configuration class (Configuration.createRootApplicationModule) as well as using the JDBC Connection String but both fail when I run the test cases independently from jmeter.
Anybody came across such an error? Please help.
    Thanks,
    Sapna

    Hi Timo,
    Im using JDev version 11.1.1.6.0.
I checked the class path on the jdev console. All the library references are mentioned in the manifest.mf classpath of the test project like below:
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Class-Path: lib/identitystore.jar
    lib/adfm.jar
    lib/groovy-all-1.6.3.jar
    lib/adftransactionsdt.jar
    lib/adf-dt-at-rt.jar
    lib/adfdt_common.jar
    lib/adflibrary.jar
    lib/xmlparserv2.jar
    lib/db-ca.jar
    lib/jdev-cm.jar
    lib/ojmisc.jar
    lib/commons-el.jar
    lib/jsp-el-api.jar
    etc...
So I expect the library references should be resolved looking at the manifest file.
Another set of entries that I see in the jdev classpath are related to the Model project which is under test.
    -classpath
    D:\CurrentProject_1\16_7_2013_3pm\11_7_2013\.adf;
    D:\CurrentProject_1\16_7_2013_3pm\11_7_2013\Model\classes;
How do I put these entries into my class path? Will it be sufficient if I add the Model.jar into my test project classpath?
    Thanks,
    Sapna

  • How to open an online pdf from command-line

    Hi,
I'm trying to get my application to open a pdf file from an url like http://xxxx.dk/xxx.aspx?CID=xxx
it work from inside adobe reader so the pdf file is a functionel file, but when i try to open it from command line like: AcroRd32.exe /n /A "pagemode=none" "http://xxxx.dk/xxx.aspx?CID=xxx" i keep getting an error telling me "There was an error opening this document. The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect"
does anyone have an idea of what i need to do? i could also make a public test if someone needs to see the issue "live"

it works with the browser, so no problems there.. i just wanted the pdf file to open in adobe reader instead of browser window, as it opens from a windows application.. but perhaps i need to look more into merging a embedded pdf viewer in the application instead..

  • Query runs from command line, but not from scheduler

We use Control-M to schedule shell scripts to be run on a Solaris server. Some of the scripts have to access an Oracle database and in that case our security team will include the DB user and password in the script, then encrypt it and the sys admin team schedules the encrypted shell script with Control-M. That works fine, but we've been trying to have the DB user and password on a separate encrypted file so that we don't have to ask for file encryption every time it's necessary to modify a script (this is a test environment).
We have the script at ~/system_name/scripts, the query at ~/system_name/sql and the encrypted file and key at ~/system_name/keys. The SQLPlus call in the script is:
    ${ORACLE_HOME}/bin/sqlplus "`decrypt -a 3des -k ./../keys/key.3des.system -i ./../keys/login.system`"@instance_name <<EOF
    @${DIR_SQL}/TEST_QUERY.SQL
    quit
    EOF
The security analyst has tested is successfully from command line, but when we schedule it with Control-M the job abends and we get the following in the sysout:
    + decrypt -a 3des -k ./../keys/key.3des.system -i ./../keys/login.system
    decrypt: cannot open ./../keys/key.3des.system
    decrypt: invalid key.
    + /u00/app/oracle/product/11.1.0/db_1/bin/sqlplus @instance_name
    + 0<<
    @/sistemas/hmp/system_name/sql/TEST_QUERY.SQL

    Any ideas?

Looks like the command is being split in some way - the connection to sqlplus is being made before it completes the whole string
It appears to be seeing the @instance_name as a script to execute rather than a db to connect to.
Is the database on the same server as the script?
If so, try setting your environment to the correct databsae, so that you can omit the @instance_name part of the syntax and see if it helps
Also just noticed the failure to open the decrypt script. It would appear uyou are not using a full path name. Have you checked which directroy the scheduled job starts in? You may need to look at running some environment specific scripts first.

  • How to run an executable from command-line

I'm learning how to use the Terminal and I got stuck in a silly thing (I suppose it is). How can I run an executable file from command-line in Terminal?
For example: I have a file named "Hello" in the folder /sample. If I use the ls command (ls sample), I can see the file Hello. Then I move to the directory (cd /sample) and try to run the file Hello (typing "Hello") but I got "command not found" message.
If I drag the Hello file from Finder to Terminal and hit Return, it runs perfectly. And if I type the full path to the file (even if I'm already inside its directory), it also runs.
So, my doubt is if there is any command to run an executable from command-line.
    Thanks

    Kj
I took the trouble of reading *man bash* and it explains the issue. to add the current directory to PATH you need to add an empty path to PATH like this
    PATH=$PATH::
you can add it to ~/.bash_profile so that it's executed automatically when you start bash. I suspect the linux system you are talking about had this set up by default or had it added to PATH in /etc/profile which defines PATH globally.

  • Unable to build and run Javapetstore using  Sun SDK from Command Line

    Hi,
Here is a problem I?ve come across building and running JavaPetstore from Command Line using Ant.
It shows that Build is successful but there is an error message in very beginning:
?Unable to locate tools. jar. Expected to find it in C:\Program Files\Java\jre 1.5.0_11\lib\tools.jar?
But there is no such a file in jre-1.5.0_11 or previous versions.
The only place where the file with such name can be found is jdk\lib.
All attempts to run end up with:
    ? BUILD FAILED.
C:\<PETSTORE_HOME>\bp-project\command-line-ant-task.xml:77;unable to find javac compiler;com.sun.tools.javac.Main is not on the class path.
Perhaps JAVA_HOME does not point to JDK."
Directories C:\Sun\SDK\bin and C:\Sun\SDK\jdk are in the PATH.
JAVA_HOME as a System variable is set up to C:\Sun\SDK\jdk.
Building and running other applications like a BluePrints or Samples bring to same result.
I will post more information if needed.
Thank you in advance for help.

If you are using Windows XP:
    1. Right click on my computer
    2. Select Properties from the popup dialog
    3. Click on the "Advanced" tab
    4. Click the button towards the bottom that says "Environment Variables"
    5. In the dialog that pops up, look in both the User variables and the System variables for a variable named CLASSPATH
    6. If its not there, you need to create it. If you want to make it available to all users of your computer, create it as a System variable. If you only want it to be available to the current user, add it as a User variable.
    7. If it is there, or if you just created it, it needs to contain the following values: the current directory (symbolically abbreviated as a period: "."), any class libraries you want to be available to the java compiler (javac) or the java interpreter (java). By default, jre/lib and jre/lib/ext are searched for classes, so you don't need to include anything located in one of these folders on the classpath.

  • SQL Developer BRIDGE command from command line on Windows environment

Is it possible to call SQL Developer BRIDGE command from command line on Windows environment?

    Hi <please supply your name>,
SQL Developer Worksheet is not available from the command line.
The BRIDGE command is only supported in the Worksheet.
Its an interesting idea though. Are you trying to script data move from a non Oracle database to an Oracle database using the BRIDGE command?
The BRIDGE command was initially done to allow a simple data move from a non Oracle database to Oracle. We then build the "Copy to Oracle" feature out of it.
    http://dermotoneill.blogspot.com/2010/11/cross-database-bridge-statement.html
    http://dermotoneill.blogspot.com/2010/11/copy-to-oracle.html
Since the BRIDGE command references connection names, which have to be defined in UI of SQL Developer any solution to run this on the command line would have to work this out.
There are number of ways you can do this without using the BRIDGE command.
    1) Perform a capture/convert of your non Oracle database and then generate the "offline" data move scripts.
Theses scripts use SQL*Loader and your non Oracle database tool (Ex: Sybase BCP).
These are run from the command line and can be modified ....
    2) Use a database link from your Oracle database to your non Oracle database and reference /query the data that way.
I would interested to hear your thoughts.
    Regards,
    Dermot

  • Grant and revoke privilages from command line interface

    hi all,
I have a lot of users that I need to give them a set of privileges to folders and containers of the repository, i thought that using the command line interface should help in loading a script.
i checked the manual for the syntax for such a command (i.e. to grant privileges) but i couldn't, searched the net and i didn't find anything.
So can we grant privileges from the command line interface and how ?
by the way is there anyway to create users from command line interface as well ?\
thanks in advance and have a good one

The granting of access rights cannot be done with a CLI script in Designer. Instead you have to use the Designer API Pl/Sql packages.
For detailed information, refer to the "API and Model Reference Guide", which is
installed with the Designer Repository Documentation, or can be found on OTN > Doco > Designer site.
Scroll through that document to the Reference section. You will need to read up on two topics at least: Workarea and Container Context, Privileges and Access Rights.
To grant rights, the easiest way is to grant them "just like some existing ones".
To do this, you'll need a Pl/Sql procedure with 5 input parameters:
    1) the workarea context
    2) the container to look at
    3) the user to look like
    4) the container to grant access to
    5) the user to grant access for
The Pl/Sql procedure then needs to make a series of Repository API package calls to set context and get container IRIDs:
JR_CONTEXT.Set_Workarea (workareaname) - to set the context workarea
JR_CONTEXT.Set_Working_Folder (sourcefoldername) - to specify the source container
JR_CONTEXT.Working_Folder (sourcefolderid) - to get the ID of the source container
JR_CONTEXT.Set_Working_Folder (targetfoldername) - to specify the target container
JR_CONTEXT.Working_Folder (targetfolderid) - to get the ID of the target container
OR you can just do a couple queries after you set the WA CONTEXT such as ...
Select IRID from CI_Application_Systems where NAME = <sourcefoldername>
Select IRID from CI_Application_Systems where NAME = <targetfoldername>
Then you get the list of rights desired, and grant them back to the target user.
    JR_ACC_RIGHTS.Get_Acc_Rights (sourcefolderid, sourceusername) > AccessList
[gets list of existing rights for some user on a container]
JR_ACC_RIGHTS.Grant_Priv_List (targetfolderid, targetusername, AccessList, Cascade? = TRUE)
[to set the list of rights for a user against the target container and its subcontainers]
There are other ACC_RIGHTS packages, like Grant_Priv, Revoke_Prive, Revoke_Priv_List, etc that you can use as well to build up a set of access management scripts.
    Hope this helps

command :  vstest.console.exe path of appx
    Error : root certificate error
I just want to run windows 8.1 and windows phone 8.1 run test cases from command line.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi vicky2468,
Based on your issue, as far as I know that if we want to run unit test for windows store and windows phone app using mstest.exe or vstest.console.exe in command line, you will need to execute the .appx instead of the dll in command line.
In addition, I tried to run the appx for unit test in command line,
but I found that I also get the same issue as yours. I could not execute the appx for unit test in command line successfully.  But if we run it with VS IDE in Test
Explorer windows, it seems that it works fine.
So I suggest you can submit a feedback for this issue, to get the issue confirmed and diagnose by product team, would you please create connect report for it? You will get email notification for update.

When you submit the connect, I suggest you can provide your project for product team so that product team will
be better help you solve this issue.
If you submit it, please share me the link here, I will help you vote it. I think we could get the latest information
from the product team experts. Of course, if I get any latest useful information, I will update it here.

  • CMake behaves differently from within PKGBUILD and from command line

    Hi,
I am currently struggling with an issue which I cannot find a solution. The problem is, I am trying to create a PKGBUILD for the CasADi code. The following is the PKGBUILD file written. My problem is the cmake configuration part. When the code is configured from the command line, without PKGBUILD, camke detects the -fopenmp flag for C and C++ compilers. For exactly the same compilers, cmake detects openmp for C compiler but fails to do so for the C++ compiler, when configuration is done from within the PKGBUILD file using makepkg.
My question is, why different behaviors? Any suggestions on what is wrong?

With a little creativity, you can actually do all that from the command line with a single command. It'll look a little crazy, but it can be done.
Whether the script exists on the local machine or not has zero to do with platform indpendence. You assumedly have to get the application onto the local machine, so including the script is not really an issue at all. However, you're talking about system independence, yet still wishing to run command line arguments? The two are mutually exclusive.

  • Error while running a Discoverer Workbook with parameter from command line

I am trying to run a discoverer report from command line and export the results in xls on to my local machine. I could do it fine for a simple workbook, but if I add a parameter(madatory) to the workbook and run it from command line specifying the parameter value I wanted to run the report for, I do not get any results. Here is the command line I am using.
    dis51usr.exe /connect user/password@database /apps_user /apps_responsibility "System Administrator" /eul EUL_US /open C:\Disco\Test.DIS /sheet Testsheet /parameter Period Jan-07 /export xls C:\Disco\X.xls /batch
Parameter value is entered in correct format(Jan-07).
When I removed /batch from this to see if I get any error, Discoverer Desktop opened up, logged in and gets terminated saying 'Oracle Discoverer Desktop has encountered a problem and need to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.'
Did anybody come across this issue before?

    Hello,
If you have a few minutes, Windows is also aborting for me:
the differences are, my situation is:
    a) am running the command line from a .bat file
    b) am NOT running with parms, want the discoverer query to come up for the user
    c) am running a query from the database
i am signing in as myself BUT running a query that was created by a generic user called SREG
    c) if i run the .bat file from Windows Explorer, the query opens fine
    d) if i execute the .bat file from within Microsoft Access using the shell command,
the query opens and then aborts RIGHT BEFORE the parm screen would display
    e) btw, if i modify the .bat file, to run a query from MY database signon, then (d) - running .bat file
from vb using SHELL command works
Do you have a ideas as to why (d) does not work? I would be very grateful for your time, tx, sandra
this is what i posted yesterday, tx: Re: Running Discoverer command line
