V361:I have CR XI, you should be able to right click the box, format text, click paragraph, and set the right margin at .5 or something, Set box to can grow to handle the height of the paragraph.
ahhhh works fine, thank you so much, was stuck on this for ages and that was the only thing i didnt try!!

  • Setting margins to fill the page

    This is such a basic thing .I can't believe I can't find or figure out how to do this . I'd like to be able to set the margins to 1/8th inch all around . It doesn't have to be pretty . I just want to be able to make the font as large as possible and stick to one page .

    I love these forums . I used to have Apple Care but it ran out so I started using the forums . You guys are so much better then the phone support guys .
    It's funny how someone can use an application for a long time and not know the basic stuff and when you do a search you get a lot of really complicated unrelated things .

  • Is it possible to access the page setup for the printer from a program unit

    Hi guys,
    I've done a report and i need to print it with a specified superior margin. This is not the margin that we set in the report edit margin button, this is already set, the problem is the pre-defined margin located in the page setup dialog box.
    My question is, is there a way (api, etc...) inside the report in which i can access this page setup and configure that margin with the values that i want, programaticaly (runtime)?
    Thanks.

    Sorry, the following is the runable one.
    package view;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import javax.servlet.ServletException;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest;
    import oracle.adf.controller.struts.actions.DataAction;
    import oracle.adf.controller.struts.actions.DataActionContext;
    import oracle.cabo.servlet.BajaContext;
    import oracle.cabo.servlet.BaseBajaContext;
    import oracle.cabo.servlet.Page;
    import oracle.cabo.servlet.PageBroker;
    import oracle.cabo.servlet.event.PageEvent;
    public class DataAction2Action extends DataAction {
    protected void processComponentEvents(DataActionContext actionContext)
    throws IOException, ServletException {
    HttpServletRequest request = actionContext.getHttpServletRequest();
    String eventName = request.getParameter("event");
    if ("test".equals(eventName))
    PageBroker broker = (PageBroker)
    this.getServlet().getServletContext().getAttribute("oracle.cabo.servlet.PageBroker");
    BajaContext bajacontext = new BaseBajaContext(this.getServlet(),
    broker,
    actionContext.getHttpServletRequest(),
    actionContext.getHttpServletResponse());
    Page page = bajacontext.getPageDecoder().decodeRequestedPage();
    PageEvent pageevent = bajacontext.getPageDecoder().decodeRequestedPageEvent();
    super.processComponentEvents(actionContext);

  • How can I change the margin settings in the pages inspector to make them more specific for label templates. I need margins that can be set to hundreths of a centimetre not just tenths.

    How can I change the margin settings in the pages inspector to make them more specific for label templates. I need margins that can be set to hundreths of a centimetre not just tenths.

    I doubt you need hundreths as you would not even be able to measure that and the printer doesn't hold the paper to those tolerances.
    fruhulda is right. Pages accepts higher measure but rounds it in the measure field.
    If you want absolute accuarcy you need to set your measures to points. Everything else is being recalculated.

  • Where is the "Page Setup" in PhotoShop CC?

    I just use the new PhotoShop CC recently, and I have trouble finding the "Page Setup" thing, where I can setup my printer page size before. It used to be on top of "Print", but I cant find it know. I know I can change those setting in the printer setting, but since I have more than one printer and usually use costume  size paper, I dont want to set those thing every time. Any idea where it is in the new version? or some kind of function similar?

    Why don't you want to use the [Printer Settings...] button?  It seems logical to control the paper there.
    Is it that you don't want the choices to affect other documents or applications?
    I have to admit, at 6:45 in the morning I'm a little fuzzy in remembering the logic (my apologies), but as I recall most or all of the settings you make in the Photoshop Print dialog (and confirm with [Done]) are kept with the document.  The most recent choices you have made get used for the next document.

  • The page setup has changed to 'portrait' and Page Setup will not change it back to landscape.

    When I switched on this morning Adobe Reader installed an update and recommended removing Realplayer. I looked up how to do this but it doesn't seem to be on my machine. When I started Firefox the page setup had changed to portrait. Going into 'PAGE SETUP' and changing the setting to landscape had no effect.

    Try to reset the <b>print</b> prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page via the right-click context menu.

    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened

    Go to the "File" menu, then "Print." The window that appears will have three drop-down menus at the top.
    The first is labeled "Printer",
    The second is "Presets".
    The third is unlabeled but has "Copies & Pages" selected by default.
    Click on that third menu and select "Firefox" near the bottom of the list.

  • K7N2GM-V - Please re-setting CPU Frequencies in the CMOS Setup (sic)

    Rebooting after a system hang I sporadically get the following messages:
       CMOS Checksum error - Defaults Loaded
       Warning! the CPU had changed.
       Please re-setting CPU Frequencies in the CMOS Setup
    Could someone please translate this for me? I haven't touched the CPU, the CMOS jumper and the battery is good, per the hardware detection menu.
    And my CMOS settings are lost, so I have to go back and set the clock, disable the floppy I don't have, boot order, etc.

    The battery contacts are clean; in or out of the case the mobo boots fine as long as I don't pull the plug.
    But for the answer to my original question, what does this mean:
    Please re-setting CPU Frequencies in the CMOS SetupThe Quick User's Guide is not useful here. It says:
    Adjust CPU FSB Frequence
    This setting allows you to select the CPU Front Size Bus clock frequency. Settings [100MHz]~[300MHz] at 1MHz increment.
    In fact with High Performance Mode set to Optimized the choices are only 100, 133, 166, 200, and the answer given is correct:
    Quote from: osnavi on 28-July-05, 22:27:47
    "...Do you mean the BIOS setting "Adjust CPU FSB FRequency?"
    The choices there are 100, 133, 166, 200... "  If CPU is 333 FSB you should select 166.
    In other words, in the BIOS set up screen, go to Cell Menu and then Adjust CPU FSB Frequency and set it to ½ the advertised frequency of your Athlon CPU.

    What happened to the Page Setup menu item in the Grab Utility? It was there in Snow Leopard and gone in Mountain Lion?

    Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

  • After FF update the page setup is gone and back to default values

    we use FF as default browser for our web application (desktop), delivering it as default browser on the hardware we deliver and as the advised web browser for desktops.
    The very annoying thing is that after updates to newest versions (it lately happened with update to FF 24) the page settings are not kept.
    Instead they are back to the default values as if it was a new installation. We use the page settings to have clean prints. That is: without disturbing headers and footers and with margins to 0 (zero).
    I 've been searching for a while why this happens and could find a solution. As customers are vigorously complaining now, we have to reconsider our browser policy.

    0.03937" isn't that 1mm?
    Those "size" values will be displayed in inches if the Letter / Legal / other American paper sizes are set, and in mm for the "A" paper sizes used elsewhere. So if someone would be using A4, a 1mm setting would appear as 1.0 - not 0.03937 .
    From what I have seen, only 2 digits after the decimal point should appear. Those ''(or similar)'' with 15 digits has been mentioned frequently here as occurring with broken printer settings.
    As far as "why" with a fresh installation, I have no idea. Any chance your company is using a custom Firefox configuration file (cfg) to set your own default prefs? And those old prefs are configured as the default for all your installations? ''One way to check that would be to create a new Profile and see if those prefs appear automatically in the new Profile before printing anything. No printing prefs should appear as "user set" - or maybe only those??''
    Until a few weeks ago "we" weren't aware that those prefs had changed with Firefox 6.0. This support article - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-printing-problems-firefox - needed to be edited, after a user mentioned that he didn't have the ''older'' preferences and that article was misleading. I started investigating with every version from Firefox 2.0 up to Firefox (Nightly) 27.0, and discovered those prefs had been changed in Firefox 6.0 over 2 1/2 years ago. I had a number of other support contributors verify my findings in the Contributors forum; this article was edited as a result.<br />

  • I need to change the page setup to an unusual size for label printing

    Hello. I'm trying to print a label that is 2" wide x 1-1/2 high. Firefox defaults to 8-1/2" x 11" or A4 page size and I've been unable to figure out how to change the default size to 2" x 1-1/2".
    I've cleared all the margins to zero and removed all header and footer information. But how do I change the size to 2" wide x 1-1/2" high?
    When I print, it will print the label correctly. However, it spits out 11" of labels instead of stopping at 1-1/2"
    The printer is set up to accept the size (it's a Zebra label printer), but Firefox appears to be sending a page size that is different.
    Any help here would be most appreciated.
    Thank you

    Thanks for your answer. Instead of formatting through FireFox, I had to go in and format it via the printer. Duh! Feel stupid not doing this first. If any one else has this problem, I was able to set it up on the printer by going to Printers > Printer Properties > Printer Preferences and set it up. Good luck and thank you for your reply.

  • In Pages '09, OSX 10.8 how do I print multiple pages on one sheet of paper.  (I used to be able to do this in earlier versions via the "page setup" menu.

    Forget it.  The answer is that the multiple page per page setup comes up in the printing menu.  (When you do command-P)

    Click on the Show Details button in the Print dialog.
    Whenever options seem to disappear, have a look around and explore what is available. Particular when they have what appears to be relevent labels.

  • When I air print from my iPad, I can't limit the number of pages. It just says print and the number of copies and I end up with way more than I want. How do I set it to limit the pages?

    When I air print using FingerPrint from my ipad, it doesn't let me limit the number of pages, and I end up with more pages than I want. It asks if I want multiple copies, but it doesn't ask me number of pages, or which pages. Is there a way to do this?

    When you use an AirPrint compatible printer, you get this option for page range. You are using your computer as the server in order to print, so you probably have to set the range on the computer. While you can print from your printer with this app, I assume that it doesn't give you the same control that you get directly from the iPad when using an AirPrint printer.
    Read this from the FingerPrint support site. Selecting the page range would be part of the formatting of a print job.

  • Setting "inside" bleed within the page size

    Hello,
    I'm using InDesign CS3 for a book layout and I'm trying to set the inside bleed so that it is 0.25" within the page size (trim size) of 8.5". I've tried putting -0.25" but it only accepts positive numbers.
    The reason I want the bleed within the trim size is so that the ink doesn't interfere with the adhesive when it's bound.
    Thanks for any help.

    Expanding on Bob's suggestion, you could put a white rectangle on a top layer and then turn off its visibility. Then you could work away without having to worry about fitting everything to the guide, and just turn on the layer visibility when you've finished to blot out anything that spills over.

  • Pon opening firefox, some pages are small, others large. On IE, there is a setting where it remembers the page settings. Is there one on firefox I can't find?. in English

    My computer had a virus so I reformatted. This was about a month ago. Now when I open Firefox, the page settings are not correct and I have to keep zooming in and out to be able to read web pages and it does not remember page settings like IE did. Is there a setting for this, to remember page size? I am on Windows XP and Firefox is my browser, version 3.6.4.

    If you need to adjust the zoom and font size on websites then look at:
    * Default FullZoom Level - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/6965
    * NoSquint - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/2592
