Set maximum upload size

Hello,
We are using Portal 7.0 and the CRM Business Package (BSP's).
For a user it is possible to upload one or more attachments.
Is it possible to set a maximum upload size?

I know BPS 4.1.4 does have an issue and you would need BES Express 5 to fix it. BES Express 5 is also free.

IView Deployment - how to set maximum file size?

Hello,
we have a problem while deploying iViews and uploading files to enterprise portal . The maximum upload file size seems to be limited to 1 MB. I have to deploy an iView greater than 1 MB. While deploying with netweaver developer studio I get following error message
in logfile of developer studio:

java.io.IOException: Error writing to server
The direct upload of *.par with EP Component Manager also does not work. After clicking upload-button I get a standard http error page "aktion abgebrochen".
Also on upload of any other document, for example personal documents which are bigger than 1 MB, I get this error.
If I reduce file size of portal archiv lower than 1MB I can deploy and upload the iView.
How canI set maximum upload file size in Enterprise Portal?

Set maximum panel size

Hi,
I would like to know how can I set the maximum panel size, in order
that when I maximize it with a state property node set to 5 (maximized)
when I open it, it don't pass the size I want for that panel.
How Can I do It? I can set the minimum panel size, in File->Vi
properties->Window size but I can't set the maximum panel size?

Hi,
From my vi, before I call another vi from it, I have a FP Open and FP.
State property set to True and 4 (Minimized) respectively and then I
use a Run Vi invoke node and finally, after it, I have another FP.
State property set to 1 (Standard). My front panel when opens has
the same size as I saved it but LV not redraws it well. How Can I do to
solve this kind of problem? I have this problem since a lot of time ago.

Set maximum font size

Is there a way that I can set the maximum font size? I want to limit the size of all fonts.

Hi thanks....I'm having this strange SQLException while trying to insert BLOB image data to Oracle database. I'm saying this strange because for the same image that has been inserted before it's throwing the exception. My program is run from Oracle form and then some image data are inserted into database through a loop. I can't realize what's the problem inside my code that's causing this problem. In fact, when I run my program independently not from Oracle Form, it runs fine, every image data get inserted into database. Given below is my code snippet:

Upto how much I can set maximum Heap size for jvm?

I am running application on 8GB RAM Windows 64 bits machine.
I am running out of OutOfMemory (Heap Space). I want to increase the Heap Size for my jvm.
But can anybody please tell me what is the limit by which I can set the maximum size for heap?

Max allowed memory per process is 2 raised to the 64th power. What maximum memory you can set depends on the memory available
for your application. You may be able to set more than 8GB ram then it will use the swap space and it will slow down your application
performance. So try different memory size and see which one works best for your application.

Is there a way to set maximum cache size or to change default cache directory to sd card on Android?

I'm low on space in my Android Phone and Firefox Cache is huge by my phone standards. I have to clear data after each time I use firefox. Firefox is great but I'm using it less and less, day by day. I browsed Internet for tips, but while I was able to set a cache directory on sd card using "about:config", it still writes on phones internal too. It seems it duplicated cache.
Setting a different max size using "about:config" only works temporarily, because it seems Firefox returns to default after a while.

Hello.
To help automatically clear up some cache from Firefox, click on each of the images from left to right. Now at least you won't have to constantly do it yourself.
Also, to help you with your space issues, download Clean Master from the Google Play app Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cleanmaster.mguard this app will clean up hidden cache and useless files on your phone, helping free up space.
And as for why Firefox keeps reverting to the default cache in "about:config", I do not know. We are sorry for any inconveniences that this has caused you. But please try doing what was mentioned above to help with your issue.

Maximum pane size???

A have a lot of problems, because I can't set maximum pane size? Here is an example of it. I have image control that is bigger than screen resolution, so I have to enable vertical and horizontal scrollbars, but then user can scroll into "infinity"and I don't want that, because I have other controls that user must not see. I know that I can achive that with Scrollbar control, but it will be much easier if you could set maximum pane size and place other controls out of this area, so that user can not see them. It is also anoing if you scroll into blank area of the pane, so it will be great if I can limit this scrolling area. If I use Scrollbar control then I have to resize them too when window size is changed. Does anybody know better way to achive that?

Hi Adnan,
I'm believe that guys are right when they say that there is no way to just set the limits you will be able to scroll in. Maybe if you didn't use upper recommendation, you can keep reading rectangle displayed by your front panel pane (Content Area Rect or Origin property), and you can compare actual values with maximum values. This solution is far not so elegant as it is the one with Image Control Scrolbars, however it offers you some flexibility more since it is not related just to Image Control.

I have a RTF whch is having a field in that i need to add some validation condition but after adding certain condition in Add help text tab ,it is not accepting after certain length, how i can increase the length to unlimited,please help me on this

Form fields have some restrictions if your are using version lower than 11g.
They can accommodate only 393 chars. You can add the text in both status bar and help key, which can in total consume 393 chars.
If your code logic is more than that, it can be split into multiple form fields as Avinash suggested or you can use sub template logic and handle coding over there. Again in sub template code can be within/outside form fields.
So there is no option for user to increase the size of form field.

Thats a good one (question)... as far as I know it could be similar to the old AGP Aperture Size, but the amount of data doesn't correspond; megabytes vs. kilobytes.
It could be the logical data unit which is carried thru the PCI-E bus in order to feed the PCI-E devices, this is sounds better yet again would be something similar to the AGP Aperture Size: not amount of data being mapped at physical memory, but the size of the data units being transfered.
Hope this helps... try the values to either side and test with a 3d Benchmark, if you see a diference then come back and tell us.

When the load is not getiing processed due to huge volume of data, or more number of records per data packet, Please try the below option.
1) Reduce the IDOC size to 8000 and number of data packets per IDOC as 10. This can be done in info package settings.
2) Run the load only to PSA.
3) Once the load is succesfull , then push the data to targets.
In this way you can overcome this issue.
You can also try RSCUSTV* where * is an integer to change data load settings.
Change Datapackage size for extraction, use Transaction RSCUSTV6.
Change Datapackage size when upload from an R/3 system, set this value in R/3 Customizing (SBIW -> General settings -> Control parameters for data transfer).
IN R/3, T-Code SBIW --> Genaral settings --> Maintain Control Parameters for Data Transfer (source system specific)

CLM - Maximum File Size for Contract Documents

We did a search but did not find an answer for this. For the CLM system does anybody know SAP's recommendation on the maximum file size that the application can reliably handle for contract documents? We recently increased the maximum file size from 10MB to 50MB to accommodate a larger than allowed file size. Now the business has requested the capacity to add files (pdf files) up to 115MB. Would increasing our file limit to approximately 150MB be within the recommended parameters?

There is no specific recommendation for maximum file sizes as this depends on how your time-out parameters are set, your server resources and network (also tunneling policies). The fact is the higher the filesize the more risk you run in unreliable uploads. Compressing files before uploading is a good practise for larger files.
These are the same issues which you would run into if you for example upload to a sharepoint site or even a copy on a shared drive, it all depends on the same parameters.
Tunneling policies could also affect your performance as it will limit the upload speeds according the priority set on certain network activities and if it limits your bandwidth you run in the risk of time-out so as you see there is no straight answer to your question. I know customers who can without no problem upload 150Mb files and others who already have issues with 50Mb.
Unfortunate, as I do not know your architecture and infrastructure I can only advice to stresstest the conditions of 150 Mb uploades with several user ids and see if you get time-outs or if it degrades the network performance. One of the questions you should ask your business is how frequent are the occurences of 150Mb+ uploads and if it is the appropiate way. It could be that these are very rare and in that case you could ask them to do this outside the busy hours of the network which will provides you less risk in problems.

I have tested my Application Client Project in WSAD on my pc and it works fine.
I have 1gb RAM on my pc. When I deploy the same app on another xp pc(same as mine but 512mb RAM) I get a heap size error. Here is the exact error:

Don't know why, but the "maximum heap size: 267380736 bytes" value is just slightly less than 256*1024*1024, wheras the reported initial size is equal to that.
Try setting the initial value to 255MB.

How to change font size, maximum column size in the result screen ?

That's great when using SQL Dev.
But I also have a trouble that how to change font size, maximum column size in the result screen ?
My users think that font in result screen is shown very small, and whenever the data in each colum is long then it's not shown full data in column, they must double click for extend the size. Have the option to default the max size for showing full data in each column ? I try but still not to do that .

You can't change the font for the results screen yet, however you will be able to select an auto-fit option for selected columns, so if some columns have slitghtly wider text you'll be able to set the column widths to handle these wider columns.
Also, there s the option of switching the layout of a record in the grid.
