Set older version as active in DTR

Hi community,
I'm struggling with this simple requirement. I want to to set an older version of a WD4J component as active. I can snych it to this version without any problem but when i try to edit and check in, it says that the source is out of synch and i can't do anything. What do i have to do to achieve this?
Many thanks,
Tobias

Actually i don't look for another "hack" and for web dynpro java this would be great pain to replace it all manually. So the NWDI does not provide this option? This is very very sad... but it fits perfect to some of the previous eyperiences i had with the SAP Java Development .
But thank you for your help Hamendra.
Regards,
Tobias

  • DTR: How do I set an older version as active version

    Hello,
Using the DTR I can sync to a specific Version of a File using "Sync to this version" from the context menu of the Version Graph.
Now I want to set the Version I synced to as the active version. Is there a possibility to do this?
    Greets Johann

    Hi
When I understand the question right, then the intension is to have an older version now as the current active version in the workspace on DTR.
Up to now DTR does not yet provide this functionality. But there is a workaround:
    - please sync the file to the version that afterwards should get active (e.g. using context menu in version graph)
    - and copy the synced file to a temporary location
    - then sync the file again to the current active version
    - and check-out for edit this version of the file
    - then copy the older version from the temporary location over the checked-out version
    - check-in
Please be aware that this changes the current active version in the workspace and that this change is visible to everyone accessing the workspace.

  • Accessing older versions of Product Catalog

    Hello Experts
We have a requirement wherein the web shop Admin can search for and access an older version of Product Catalog in the Backend GUI.  Product Catalog can be revised once in a month.
I would like to know and understand if there is any feature to store different versions of Product Catalog in the system.
    Regards, Vishal

    Hello,
Yes If your using release 7.0 with the staging concept enabled during the replication a new version of the Index will be created. This will only be an indexed version of the catalog but you can have multiple version available (but only one actiove version) you could then set an older version to active if required.

Every time I start iTunes I get the message: "iTunes exec has been set to run in compatability mode for an older version of Windows. Turn off compatability mode for iTunes before you open it." How do I turn off the compatability mode? Particularly when I have to do it before I turn on iTunes.

  • How do I set my older version of Pages as the default when opening files?

I currently have two versions (Pages '08 3.0.3 and Pages '09 4.2) on my computer. I am finding that when others send me a document created in the older version of Pages, when I open it, it converts it to the newer version. If I make changes and send it back, that same person with only the older version cannot open the file. I know I can duplicate the file, and save a copy as the Pages '08 version when sending the file back, but I'd like to skip this step. Remembering to control click each new file to choose which version I want to open the file in seems like an extra, unecessary step as well. I simply want the files sent to me to open in the older version, so I don't need to go through these extra steps each time. Anyone have any suggestions or tips for me? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I do try to keep Pages 08 open on my computer, but I sometimes find that my documents will still convert to the 09 version upon opening them, even if I don't make any changes or even save the file myself. I also find that I do not get the "save as" option in Pages 09 when it is not a file I created myself. You wouldn't think a basic word processing file would have this much trouble opening in a version that really isn't that much older. I've been doing a lot of copying and pasting into the older version when I send files out. This really makes the 09 version inconvenient to me. If it weren't for all of my files that now require the 09 version to open (because of this default setting everything I open seems to become an 09 version) I'd get rid of this version all together, as it is not compatible for so many other people with whom I work!

  • Need help with a activation code for Adobe Acrobat X Standard for my PC,, Don't have older version serial numbers,  threw programs away,  only have Adobe Acrobat X Standard,  need a code to unlock program?

Need help with a activation code for Adobe Acrobat X Standard for my PC, Don't have older Version of Adobe Acrobat 9, 8 or 7.

You don't need to install the older version, you only need the serial number from your original purchase. If you don't have them to hand, did you register? If so, they should be in your Adobe account. If not you really need to contact Adobe, though it isn't clear they will be able to do anything without some proof of purchase etc.

    Hey bayside property,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. If you are having a pop up that is telling you about compatibility mode, the following article will assist with removing that.

  • Activation Code for older versions

Where can I get an activation (serial number) that works for my older version - WHICH I BOUGHT - for
Acrobat Pro 7 or 8?  I have a newer computer, since my old one died, and I want to use the one I already
    have.

    Hi Rise22,
If you have registered the serial number with Adobe, then you can get it after logging in Adobe website using Adobe ID and password. However, as you have mentioned that you have purchased new computer, then just want to let you know that if the Operating System on your computer is Windows 7 or Windows 8 then Acrobat 7 or Acrobat 8 will not work. Acrobat 7 or Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Windows 7 or Windows 8. I would recommend you to purchase Acrobat XI as it is fully compatible with Windows 7 and Windows 8.
You can also try using the trial version of Acrobat XI which you can download from: Download Adobe Acrobat free trial | Acrobat XI Professional

  • I have an older version of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and having trouble activating because I do not have internet connection

I have an older version of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. I have the disk and the serial number but I cannot activate because I do not have Internet. How can I activate this product?

"Photoshop" Lightroom doesn't require activation; you just install and then type in the serial number when prompted, and it should work from thet moment; Adobe allow you to install Lr on two computers at the same time. The Internet is only really required to register your serial number, which is a very good idea in case of disaster.

  • CC created brush sets compatible with older versions?

Are brushes/sets created in CC compatible with CS and/or older versions of Illustrator +Photoshop please?

Most likely not except for the most rudimentary brushes. Too much stuff has changed in recent versions.

  • HT4587 How to set up an older version Airport Express on the 6.2 Utility

I have a older version of Aiport Express  (M9470LL/A model A1084) and I get the following message when I try to set it up with the Airport Utility Version 6.2 on my iMac with Snow Leopard 10.8.2. -
"This version of AirPort Utility doesn’t support this base station. Go to AirPort Service and Support for more information."
Any advice on how to set it up ?

Mountain Lion no longer supports the older A1084 AirPort Express that you have.
If you want to try a workaround.....not supported by Apple.....see this article to find out how to add another version of AirPort Utility that will work with Mountain Lion and hopefully allow you to configure the AirPort Express that you have.

I am a new CC user. Very satisfied.  I just d/l the CC 2014 upgrades.  now I have 2 sets of folders.  Can I uninstall the older version. or do I have to leave it on this machine ?

Understand the uninstall process BUT ...
Looking at the size of the previous versions vs. the CC 2014 versions, it seems that these newer (2014) versions are smaller in size ... with the exception of SpeedGrade.
What I have installed so far:
    AE CC = 2.66gb
    AE CC 2014 = 2.03gb
    AU CC = 900mb
    AU CC 2014 = 678mb
    AI CC = 1.81gb
    AI CC 2014 = 907mb
    PS CC = 3.79gb
    PS CC 2014 = 1.99gb
    PR CC = 3.87gb
    PR CC 2014 = 1.54gb
    SG CC = 206mb
    SG CC 2014 = 709mb
I hope this is right and the downloads didn't leave out anything!! If the programs are lighter, that's a good thing.
    So, is this right?!
And is it alright to Uninstall the previous versions? (I don't have any plugins, add-on's, etc...)

  • Retrieve "real" resource when setting an older version of a file as current

    Hello,
I need to log access to versioned files, and I have the following problem:
With a versioned resource, when the user duplicates an older version of a document as being the current version, the KM sends a "COPY" (ResourceEvent.COPY) Event informing this change. Apparently what the KM does is simply to copy the resource from its version repository to the current folder. The problem is that the resource associated with this event (delivered by IResourceEvent.getResource() )is the version of the resource that the KM saved in /<prefix>/.system/versions/<number>/<number>/<ID>.
Therefore to log this event, I would need a way to get the "real" resource from the KM, to which this version belongs. Does anyone have any idea how to do that?
    Thank you very much!
    Giuliano R. Lima

    Hi,
thanks for the quick reply. However this still doesn't quite solve my problem. What I really need is to get a hold of a IVersionHistoryResource object, so that I can call its getRootVersionRID() method.
The IVersionResource offers a method called getVersionHistoryResource(), but it only delivers an IResource as result.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!
    Giuliano

  • Is there anyway to run older versions of software on the new mac chip set?

I've got an older version of photoshop that ran fine on my 5 year old mac mini...which won't run on my brand new mac mini....anyone have the same problem and a work around....

The error message reads, "You can't open the "Adobe Photoshop CS.app" because PowerPC applications are no longer supported." Would running an earlier version of OSX correct this?
