Set options for generating JavaHelp Help

Hi there
If you are insistent upon the output being JavaHelp, I'm going to officially say that you are likely better off using your own utility. RoboHelp will likely be a source of nothing but frustration for you if you want to use it to create JavaHelp. Almost nobody is creating JavaHelp so Adobe really has no real incentive to improve RoboHelp's ability to produce it.
If you are interested in using RoboHelp as your editor, I'd say it might be useful there. But once you create the content, I'd suggest closing RoboHelp and using your home grown utility to generate, since it already does what you want.

Why not? There's no issue with marking a TABLES interface parameter with 'Optional' and publishing the function module or function group as a web service...

Set password for pdf,plzzzzzz help

i'm developing a software in which i let the user to import their pdf and open those pdf .pdf will be open in a acrobot reader.
now i want let the user to set password for his pdf file to protect his file from unauthorized access.
until now i have found some APIs but they all having different problems and still i'm stuck there
any one got the idea to help me to go furthure

Read the documentation at the links. They won't hurt your data.
Basically smc reset is shutdown, pull your plug for 15 seconds, plug it back in, wait 5 seconds, and reboot. Harmless to you. Resets the smc.
Pram reset is similar but you need to push commnd-option-P-R after the boot chime. Read what does.

Feature Request: Make a Setting Option for Export - Media - What to Render

As I just changed after many years with Premiere Elements to Pro, I certainly find many things just anconversant.
But there's one thing I really can't take: When I'm trying to render a project, there's a small selection list near the bottom of the "Export Media" window saying "export area". Here I can choose between "complete sequence", "work area", "sequence in/out" and "defined by user". This option jumps always back to "work area"!
That's at least for me very unconveniant, because in 99+ % of my renderings, I need "complete sequence". Normally the software remembers the last used setting, but not in this case. I can imagine that one can fight about what's the best default setting: I Guess everyone is using Premiere differently. So in my opinion a predefined setting option would solve best for all: Just add one mor setting in the Presets section, maybe in "General" or make a new rubric "Export" or something. Just a place where everyone can predefine which setting for the export media area option he likes.
No big deal, just one more presettings option!

Client setting option for Productive solution manager

Dear all expert,
I've set in transaction code SCC4 (client setting) for my productive solution manager:
1. "No changes allowed" for changes & transport for client-specific object
2. "No Changes to repository and cross-client customizing objs" for cross-client object changes
However with above setting, when execute Tcode SOLAR01 & edit the structure/document, I am not allowed to save it, getting the error "Changes to Repository or cross-client Customizing are not permitted".
could anyone please advise what is the correct setting for the solution manager?

User just need to edit/upload new documentation to the project SOLAR01, and this is not allowed because of the system setting
By the way, do you know any method that I can restrict user to edit the 'Structure' tab, but only allow them to upload & edit the documentation under 'project document' tab?
the recommendad way will be we always setup the project & complete in development system & then finally transport to productive solution manager without any further changes anymore?
please advise.

When I go to Settings and General there is no option that says Software Update. The options given are just "About" and "Usage"

No problem. Here is what I hope is a reasonable explanation.
You have iTunes on your PC and you can also use it on your PC. This could be regarded as the central store or central point for all your data/music etc.
You can then have stuff on your iPhone and your iPad and each could have different stuff on it depending on available capacity depending on what you need. You can either put stuff on them from iTunes or just download to them directly. If you put stuff on them from iTunes, then you obviously also have it on iTunes. If you download directly, a copy of what you downloaded directly, should also download into iTunes automatically. Again, iTunes is your central store.
iCloud allows you to back up each of your devices in the cloud (Apple's storage area), iPhone, iPad and iTunes, automatically, just in case you have a problem and need to recover something. For example, although my iPhone is backed up within iTunes on my computer, it is also backed up in iCloud. A couple of months ago, I had a problem on my iPhone and went into an Apple Store to talk to them about it. To my (unprepared) surprise, they replaced my iPhone and gave me a new one. Whilst sitting in the store (and being connected to their wifi), I could then restore all my iPhone stuff directly from iCloud. This is everything apart from some data like music which I would have to do from iTunes.
Finally, iCloud also allows you to automatically transfer things from one device to another such as photos (photostream), contacts, reminders etc. - in such a case you could think of it as a syncing system.
I hope that this all helps.
All in all, use iTunes on a PC, keep it up to date and backed up if you can.
(proviso - this is not an exhaustable list nor 100% accurate but it does give a good summary of how it all works)

Hello, I am new to RoboHelp. I am almost done designing my first RoboHelp project (which has an MS HTML Help output). I see from my documentation that skins can only be applied to Webhelp or Flashhelp. However, i would like my help output to have a custom look. Is there a tool or method I can use to customize the look of my MS HTML Help?

What is the best option for generating .wmv video working on Mac?

I am working on a mac. I need to generate my output in .wmv. I am exporting as .mov then using MacX converter to convert to .wmv. The quality degrades too much. What is the best way to generate .wmv?

YOur statement is way too generic and vague. You have not provided any exact settings, version info, details about the footage etc. That asude WMV is a compressed format and wil always degrade.

Allowing setting option for user

Right now user does not have authority to change there own setting what is the best way to provide the authority so that users can change there own setting after login into BI.

You can first categorize the user and assign the Authorization accordingly like Power User, Business User etc., But then if they modify the main query or web template that will impact the other users. So its better to restrict certian major changes.

Set Options for 2 iPhone Family?

If anyone has been down this road...
I only have 1 account on my iMac that my wife and I share. Each have separate email accounts.
The ideal setup would be:
1) Both phones syncing to same address book, but, having a "family" group that syncs to both phones and a "business" group that syncs to only my phone, and a second business group that only syncs to my wife's phone.
2) Same type of setup with iCal. Have a common calendar with birthdates, etc. that syncs to both phones, and a separate calendar for business appointments that sync to only my phone, and same for wife's business appointments.
Has anyone done this? Or do I need separate iMac login accounts for each phone? I do plan to setup MobileMe accounts soon if that makes a difference. Thanks for any feedback.

I've been trying .mac and does not quite get me where I want to be with two iphones, 4 macs. 3 macs are for home and 1 from work.
I've been using spanning sync which has solved my problems. This will require a google calendar account which is free. Spanning Sync is $25.
Each mac has a iCal for them names for each one or what ever you choose. I then setup a sep cal under the one google cal account, just like ical you can have mutiple calendars. Each iCal then has the same so that my family can see my work calendar and I can see there calendars.. Color coded and even syncs to iphone.

Missing "Add Records" and "Refresh Records" options for data sets post domain re-import

We recently had to re-install the Endeca server and as part of which had to export and re-import the data domains. Everything went fine except for the fact that newly re-imported data sets showcase just the "Manage Attributes" and the "Delete Data Set" options for an administrator login in. The previously available options to "Add Records" and "Refresh Records" beyond manage attributes/Delete Data Set are missing.
Thoughts? Is there a security setting to enable these?

So are you talking about the Add Records and Reload Records options for a data set in Studio?
There are no separate security settings for these options. If a user is an application administrator (is able to edit the application), then they should have access to these options.
The options are only available for data domains created using the Provisioning Service (created by uploading a file or from the JDBC or BI Server data source from the Data Source Library).
I don't know if the process of exporting and re-importing the data domains (not sure how you did that) could somehow cause the data sets to no longer know that they were created by the Provisioning Service, in which case those options would not be enabled.

How do I set options to programs for my user. ie in .bashrc? (Solved)

How can I set the following option to make in .bashrc ?
MAKEOPTS="-j3"
So the option gets activated each time i open a term/x-term

You know you can set option for make on the command line.
$ MAKEOPTS='j3' make all
I want to set that MAKEOPTS in my bashrc file for my user.
Ive tryed
in .bashrc
export -x MAKEOPTS ..
export -n MAKEOPTS ...
declare -x MAKEOPTS ...
Is it clear now what I want?
