Set output directory for reports10g

Hello,
Is there a way to set the output directory for reports (10g) of REPORT_DESTYPE=FILE run from the web. Currently they all go to ORACLE_HOME\j2ee\home.
thanks

I am using the absolute path now but am finding that the length of DESNAME is to long.
eg -
DESNAME - D:\yamba\reports\SERIALS\mb0332.pf - works
DESNAME - D:\yamba\reports\SERIALS\mb0332.pdf - doesnt work
Any suggestions?
thanks

  • How to set output size for mp4?

    Hello,
I'm having a problem with the export of a Captivate video tutorial.
The output size is w 1440 x h 900 pixels. It comes out looking fine, but as soon as we put it through any other transcoding process as required by our own workflows, the image quality deteriorates.
Now, I've read in this forum that any alteration of the size of the image will cause this deterioration in quality. Effectively, the dimensions of the transcoded output from our own video editors are much smaller than those of the input mp4.
However, we would like to keep that smaller size because it makes for better performances in video streaming.
Is there any way in Captivate to set the dimensions for the mp4 output to be smaller? The 1440 x 900 dimensions are already different from the capture area (the whole screen), so it seems they are independent from the capture settings.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

  • How to set default directory for SQL LOADER

    hi all,
i wanted to know how can we setup a default directory for SQL LOADER if at all we can. i connot place my control and data files in local system and use them at command prompt. rather i wanted to know if we can set default directory that the loader can use. this requirement is basically to enable all the clients to upload the data placed on the server and use the loader utility.
    thanks in advance,

    Ella,
You don't say which version of SQL Developer you are using via Citrix, but just setting the SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR hasn't worked for a long time (see Re: SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR does not function anymore). Also, since version 1.5, the default for the user directory (now set via ide.user.dir as shown below) is under the user profile area (relative to %APPDATA%), which you should be able to write to, even on Citrix.
Assuming that neither of those help, you will need to get whoever installed SQL Developer on the Citrix C: drive to modify the sqldeveloper.conf to have a line like, where the path exists for everyone who will be using the shared SQL Developer (assumes everyone has a H: drive):
AddVMOption -Dide.user.dir=H:\sqldeveloperAn alternative (depending on how you start SQL Developer via Citrix), is to create your own shortcut to start SQL Developer with something like:
    sqldeveloper -J-Dide.user.dir="%SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR%"theFurryOne

  • Best practice for setting up directory for application specific entries

In OID I want to add some information we need for our authorisation. The default authorisation isn't enough: users are allowed to access servlets if the data belongs to a group. And possibly they are allowed more then one roles for more then one data-groups. So for examle: datagroup1+role1+, datagroup1+role2 and datagroup2+role1.
I want to define a application-specific tree for this data, something like:
    - Lariscontext (our application)
    ____|-Groups
    ______|--- group1 --- role1
    ______|_________|- role2
    ______|----group2 --- role1
    ________________|- role3
And from the user-entry I want to refer to those entries, with constraints to check if they exist.
    - users
    ______|---- user1
    ____________attributs:cn=role1,cn=group1
    ____________________cn=role2,cn=group1
    ____________________cn=role1,cn=group2
Are there any guidelines of how to do this, which object classes are usefull etc? Should I do this this way.
    regards,
    Eelco

Did you ever come up with a way to set up the directory to handle the authorization details as you described. I have pretty much the same situation and I am looking for a starting point as to how best to setup the directory tree's users.

  • How to set nondefault directory for SQL Developer on Citrix (terminal)

    Hi
My purpose is that , when I click"open" button on SQL Developer I hope it prompts out a defined diretory rather than the default one.The problem here is I'm using Citrix paltform in the terminal end and hence I don't authorization to do any modification on the C:\ drive (server end)
I got this guide lines from the tutorial but I can reset the rying directory by either way.
To specify a nondefault SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR location, do either of the
    following:
    ■ Set the SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR environment variable to specify another
    directory path.
    ■ Edit the <sqldeveloper_
    install>\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin\sqldeveloper.conf file
and substitute the desired directory path for SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR in the
    following line:
    SetUserHomeVariable SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR
1.After I execute below command on cmd, the variavle has been set but still it navigates to the default directory:
    set SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR=U:\sql
2.I want to modify the "sqldeveloper.conf " file but since it is located in C: drive I don't have right to modify it.(I'm using terminal as stated above)
Could anyone help me out ??

    HI,
I think you need not to create OUTPUT type. But you want to assign print program and SAPscript/Smartform to the existing output type.
You can set the output type, print program and SAPscript/Smartform in the table TNAPR.
YOu can do it either from SM30 or from SE16 as Table maintenance is allowed for this Table.
    Sample entries are like below:

  • How to set output medium for a PO for a  vendor in SRM?

    Hi,
I want to set the output medium(printer)  of the PO for a vendor in SRM.
    Where can I do it?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ramesh

    Hello Ramesh,
If your SRM vendor is a R/3 (i mean it was replicated from R/3), check what is the standard communication method for this vendor in its R/3 view.
This communication method will be the same in SRM once vendor created/updated in SRM (see "Manage Business Partner" web transaction for monitoring).
If your vendor is only created in SRM, maintain directly this default ouput medium in same "Manage Business Partner" web transaction for monitoring.
Then, in order to have the printing output successfully processed, you need to add in the attributes of organizational units of your structure ( PPOMA_BBP transaction) a default value for the printer (see "Attributes" tab and attribute ID "PRI").
Finally, be sure that in BBP_PO_ACTION_CONF transaction, printing processing type is correctly customized.
    Regards.

  • Problem in setting TNS_ADMIN variable for REPORTS10g

    Hi,
I am trying to setup web reports using rwservlet on tomcat server. I have set the required environment variables as in documentation including TNS_ADMIN but the servlet is not picking up the value and using the default tnsnames.ora file instead.
This is causing problems as i cannot make an entry to the default file and we keep the tnsnames.ora file on a separate location.

    Hi
I checked the mentioned Patch Levels, everything seems to be fine.
After I did few changes in JCOs and checked the XCM configuration throughly shopadmin URL (http://<host>:<port>/shopadmin/shopadmin/init.do) has started working.
Now I have maintained 2 shops and can see the B2B and B2C web portals fine.
But as soon as I select any material, it is giving error saying error in XCM configuration related to IPC.
could you pleaase help me out with this?
Also, as soon as I click on the B2B Login link, it dumps.
And useradmin URL  http://<host>:<port>/isauseradm/useradmin/init.do   is still giving "Page can not be displayed",
These problems are related to XCM configuration, but not sure where exactly and which configuration is missing. please can you suggest ? Any XCM configuration related document will also be helpful.

  • Set working directory for a single thread

    Hi there,
Well, there are already some threads about the "working directory" subject.
Here's a new variant: I need to have different working directorys for each thread.
I am currently enhancing an application to do some similar jobs multithreaded (but each one in a different working dir).
So far, I started n instances of the same application in n virtual machines in n shells with each one having a different working dir.
I think compared to the old way, doing it with multithreading is a good resource saving optimization...
Reading through the 'working directory' threads , I everywhere found the recommendation to do without the internal 'cd' and use absolute paths instead.
    The problem is:
Some of the lower level classes create directories and files in their constructors to make sure they exist when performing later actions.
If there is really no way other than using absolute paths, I would need to change many constructor's and method's signatures (from the creation of a Runnable Object all the way down to the creation of the mentioned classes).
So please, don't recommend me to use absolute paths if there's a trick to do a 'cd'.
Of course, if there is really no way to do a 'cd' for a thread, this would be bad luck...
    Hoping for help
    Markus

    Hi,
Reading those threads, I was not sure if the conclusion is "I can not" or "I should not" (maybe because its very difficult or it may have side effects or whatever).
The scenario I described is true, but it was also meant to prevent people from saying "you should not" too easily.
But if the conclusion is "I can not", it seems I will have to do numerous changes. Bad luck for me.
    Anyway, Thanx.

  • Set Output Type for specific Vendors Only

    Hi,
I have created an output type to send external mail for PO. I want to restrict it to send the email to only a specific number of users. So I created consition records based on Companycode/vendor num/doc type.
I entered the records for say x and y vendor only .
But , Still when i test it with some other vendor whose record is not maintained it still sends the email?
Is it the rt path I am on ? Is it the rt way to do this ? Based on the info available online and sdn i tried these steps ...I m not sure if thats correct.
Pls let me know how to achieve this restriction ?
    Thanks,
    Shilpi

    Hi
You check the access sequence for purchase order output type. Access sequence will determine which condition record to be checked first. If any other condition table with records has priority (defined in access sequence) then your condition record will not be taken into account for output type.

  • Setting temp directory for editing original files

    Experts,
Is there a way to default the temporary working directory where a document is stored while editing it in a DIR?  This is what we are experiencing:  When a user creates a DIR and uploads a Word file into the DIR, the Original field on the document details perserves the path where the file was uploaded from, i.e. s:/share_drive.  When another user goes into the same DIR and tries to edit the file, the program tries to create a working copy of the file in u:/share_drive.  If the second user does not have access to this path, they get an error.
Is there a way to set the Original field an all files uploaded and stored in DMS to be a common working directory like c:\temp?

    Hi Andrew
Th eoriginal is checked into sap/content server
Te original gets saved in a temp location in the users desktop when the user opens the original from DIR.
Check whether te folowing setting is maintained against pc or not.
SPRO-----DMS-Define Data CarrierDefine data carrier type servers and frontend maintain the temp location like C:\temp or tmp.

  • Enhancement Request: Output Directory per Java Content directory

I don't know if this is the right location for a feature request, but I've seen others in the forum here, so I guess I won't be reprimanded.
It would be great for our project here if we could specify a unique output directory for each source directory that we add to a project. There is a similar feature in Eclipse and we would like to get off our Eclipse crutch and this would really help us out. We have several applications, that consist of dozen or so projects each, but each project may contain anywhere from two to many (scores) of source directories. We keep each source folder's output in separate folders.
Alternatively, perhaps a way to import a dependency on a project in another application without having to actually add that project to the application would be a solution.
What we're trying to avoid is having applications with 50 or more projects to keep track out each individual output folder and avoid changing our build process to accommodate JDeveloper limitation in this area.
If the dev team doesn't see this happening, perhaps some thoughts or direction on whether this could be accomplished from our side as a plugin would be appreciated.
    Cheers
    -Christian

    hi Christian
about "perhaps a way to import a dependency on a project in another application without having to actually add that project to the application would be a solution."
Maybe a scenario like this could fit (part of) your needs:
If you have two applications MyAppA and MyAppB.
The MyAppA application has a MyProjectA1 project with a MyClassA1A.java file in its source path.
The MyAppB application has a MyProjectB1 project with a MyClassB1A.java file in its source path that has a dependency on the MyClassA1A class.
You could add a Project Library to the MyProjectB1 project that has a Class Path defined as the MyAppA/MyProjectA1/classes Output Directory.
Although this approach could be of some help, one difference I see with "regular project dependencies" is that JDeveloper will not help you with building this kind of dependencies. You will have to make sure dependant class files exist, so you will have to "manually" compile the dependencies first.

  • Illustrator needs a Relative mode switch or ability to set a Working directory for each AI file!

    Hi guys,
I thought I would post in here because I find I'm wanting this feature more and more over the past year.
This can apply to most of Adobes application but it would be great to see some file management functionality built into the applications themselves. This could then be further expanded in Bridge/Cue to incorporate more applications into the working project but at the very least the application itself the ability to control its own root existence.
On so many occasions I require Illustrators file linking feature to be relative and NOT absolute which it currently is. The only relative capability it has is if ALL the linked assets are in the same local directory as the AI file itself and this as everyone knows breaks the first rule of proper file management.
Many of the projects I work on uses many AI files with sometimes over 50 linked in assets in a variety of different formats from a variety of different clients (locations). I cannot easily move this project folder around without the painful task of linking all the data again and this creates a massive issue.
Ideally an approach similar to Autodesks Maya and Max where you can set project directories. This means all the Save As and other operations will default to that working directory for that file. All linked data will then use the projects working directory as its root and allow the project to move from location to location and not be affected.
This would Im sure benefit many other designers who work on projects with large amounts of data that may not live always in the same spot. For us we work with so many different people during a production that mobility is a must and at the moment we are finding it very difficult.
    As always, thanks for reading.
    Cheers
    Nick.

    Hello,
    First command
So what does the wiki meen by: "DEVPATH sets the physical device. You can determine this by executing the command
    readlink -f /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon-device/device | sed -e 's/^\/sys\///'"
Physical device of what, and what output am I suppose to get: Nothing, a list with output on where the symlinks lead, something else... In my case I got no output, if that is right, I do not know - since I do not understand what the command do.
    Seccond comand
DEVNAME: Sets the name of the device. Try:
    sed -e 's/[[:space:]=]/_/g' /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon-device/device/name
Does it meen like this - If I during my pwmconfig used hwmon1 wich was coretemp, and hwmon2 wich was nct6775, I should do:
    sed -e 's/[[:space:]=]/_/g' /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon1-device/device/name coretemp
    sed -e 's/[[:space:]=]/_/g' /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2-device/device/name nct6775
And that will direct every occurrence of hwmon1 and hwmon2 to the correct sensor chip?

  • "Failed to debug the Windows Azure Cloud Service project. The Output directory .... does not exist" - Looking for Solution Config Name Folder?

    Good evening,
I've been working on and with a VS2013 Update 2 / Azure SDK 2.3 Cloud Service project for a while now and never had a problem debugging it (setting the .ccproj Project as Startup Project) but at the moment I cannot Debug it anymore - I always get the following
    error message:
Failed to debug the Windows Azure Cloud Service project.  The output directory 'D:\Workspace\Development\Sources\AzureBackend\csx\Backend - Debug' does not exist.
Now what's odd here, is the last part - the "Backend - Debug" is the Solution configuration name, ALL projects in that particular solution configuration are set to the Debug Configuration. The .ccproj file also only specifies Debug|Any CPU (and
Release|Any CPU respectively) as its output folder(s). Why is the Solution config appearing up there?
And more importantly.. why is this happening and what can I do?!
    Thanks,
    -Jörg
Ps: there seems to be a related
connect bug and these sorts of issues do appear around the forums but none contains a solution (neither reinstalling the Azure SDK nor cloaking the workspace/re-retrieving & building everything worked).

    Good morning Jambor,
I already tried de-installing everything Azure-Tooling related including the Azure SDK, Restarting my machine and re-installing the SDK.
Same result. I can build the .ccproj perfectly fine and the cspack file IS generated perfectly fine, only debugging does not work and there's NO information in the VS output window (again - all projects succeed to build).
I tried explicitely running VS as Administrator, no change. I removed all IIS Express sites (as the ccproj has one web worker role), remapped my local TFS workspace.. nothing helped.
As building works, deploying to Azure Cloud Service (manually and via Publish inside VS) all works -perfectly-, I am pretty sure this IS a bug and I'd LOVE to help to get this fixed. As I said, currently I cannot debug and/or run & test my work, hence
    I cannot do ANY work.

  • Sun ONE Studio 4 aka Forte: How to set the output path for classes ?

    Help !
    Beginner's question:
Sun ONE Studio 4 aka Forte:
How to set the output path for classes ?
As default, the class files are created in the same directory as the
    sources.
In opposite, both JBuilder and Together support that there is a tree
with the sources and another tree with the classes.
The first answer I got was "not possible with Forte, but just if you write your own "ANT Build script" !
    a) Please point me to a ready-to-use ANT script for this purpose, if such is available
    b) Is using ANT instead of the MAKE as comfortable ? Besides the separation of sourcecode and classes, I would like to keep everything else to be the same, i.e. I dont want to edit the ANT file if I enlarge the project by directories or files.

    Sincerely

You can set S1S's options to place newly created .class files in a specific location.
Identify the compiler that is being used - Open the S1S's Tools/Options window, expand Editing and select Java Sources. Note the Default Compiler value. (If it's one if the Ant options, you use Ant to specify this option, not S1S.)
Open the S1S's Tools/Options window, expand Building/Compiler Types and select the appropriate compiler.
The Properties tab of the compiler has the property Target, which sets the filesystem where the compiler output is directed. If you choose <not set>, the .class files are written to their source directory.
When you set the Target, your change affects all classes that use this compiler.
Very few options can't be set in S1S; the challenge is finding out where they're set!
