Set parameter as empty date in OIM

Hello
I have an adapter that calls a stored procedure and need to pass null as one of the date parameters. I tried not to input anything but OIM sets the parameter value as 01/01/1970. I tried "set variable" task to set the variable as "Empty date" but it did not work either! Is there any way to do that?
Thanks

Can you paste the code and API you are using? If you are using stored procedure, then it's SQL statements. If you are using java code and the apis, have you tried "" as your value? Or 0000-00-00 00:00:00.000

  • Calender = empty date

    Hi,
I am passing a Date value back to the user using WS,
I would want to send instead of null an empty date, because null doesn't create a XML element, for sending empty elements in this field, I have to somehow set calender to empty date, is it possible.
Can someone tell how to set the date to 0000-00-00 00:00:00 should be fine with me also
    thanks

There's no such date. In particular there is no year zero.
If you have a schema that doesn't permit null dates or no date, and you need to return a null date or no date, then one of the two is wrong. You really ought to get that fixed. But in the meantime you are going to have to choose a real date to mean "nothing" and have the consumer of that web service agree to treat it that way.

  • Problem in setting user end date from oim to account expiry date in AD process form

    Hi all,
i am updating the user end date from oim to user account expiry date in ad process form using oim api.
i am able to get the end date value from oim but when i am setting it using api it through exception but all other attribute i am able to update in process form.
i am facing the problem only with end date field because of different date format in OIM and  AD .
so please suggest me what are date format in Active Directory and how can i change the oim date format to Active directory time format in in my java code.

    Thanks for the reply.
But all iplanet users need not contain end date attribute, and its an update on existing user.
Can you please ellaborate more on Transformation class..?? example should be helpful.

  • How do you set up a default Date To based on Date From for report parameter

I'm working on a report. I have been asked to set up a default Date To based on Date From for the report parameters. I mean when running a report, if an end user selects a value for parameter Date From, system will automatically populate the Date To parameter based on the Date From + 6 days.
I guess there's gotta be something to do with Value Set. Do any of you guys know how to go about this?
    Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
    Dennis

You should be able to retrieve the value of other valueset using :$FLEX$.<valuesetname> I'm not sure about the exact syntax, it's been a while since i worked with applications.

  • SET PARAMETER AND GET PARAMETER

What is the difference between Set parameter and Get parameter?

    Hi,
Set parameter is used to put some value into ABAP memory area, get paramter is used to retrive values form ABAP memory.
    refer the below sample code.
here i am taking one material number and i am passing that mateial number by using 'set parameter id', the material number will be stored in ABAP-memory area 'MAT', and then i am calling the Tcode 'MM03', after executing the Tcode  (from program) automatically 'MM03' will reads that material number from that ABAP-memory area and it will displays the 'MM03' tcode along with material number.
you can find the parameter-id's from data element of that field.
    parameters: p_matnr like mara-matnr.
set parameter id 'MAT' field p_matnr.
    call transaction 'MM03'.
    Reward if useful.
    Thanks,
    Sreeram.

    saurabh.

    hi,
looking at the source code of LSMW, not parameter ID is what you need, but memory id:
IMPORT /SAPDMC/LSMEMORY FROM MEMORY ID '/SAPDMC/LSMW'.
      IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
        PROJECT = /SAPDMC/LSMEMORY-PROJECT.
        SUBPROJ = /SAPDMC/LSMEMORY-SUBPROJ.
        OBJECT = /SAPDMC/LSMEMORY-OBJECT.
      ELSE.
    ENDIF.code}
use EXPORT TO MEMORY ... statement in your program acc. to the needs above.
    hope this helps

  • Get and Set Parameter ID in BDC Call transaction

    Hi all
I have written this BDC program to run a transaction eg33  to install meter. After meter get installled System generates  Device location number. I need to use this device location number in calling another transaction il03.  but my data fetching using get and set parameter id is not giving accurate result. Kindly check my code and suggest where should I improve. Or whatelse can I do to fullfill this type of requirement other than GET and SET PARAMETER ID.

i think there might be some time gap between CALL TRANSACTION and GET PARAMETER ID.....,that is to say,the new No. has not been generated and what you fetch is an old No..
i think you should use the "CALL TRANSACTION" like the following one:
CALL TRANSACTION 'EG33' USING BDCDATA MODE 'A'  UPDATE 'L'  MESSAGES INTO IT_MESS .
then i think you can get the right value.
P.S: the different update model(from SAP document)
           upd Effect
"A"   Asynchronous update. Updates of called programs are executed in the same way as if in the             COMMIT WORK statement the AND WAIT addition was not specified.
"S" Synchronous processing. Updates of the called programs are executed in the same way as if in the COMMIT WORK statement the AND WAIT addition had been specified.
"L" Local update. Updates of the called program are executed in such a way as if the SET UPDATE TASK LOCAL statement had been executed in it.
    Other As for "A".

  • Show Empty Data

I hope there is anybody how could help me:
I create a Bex Query on EA Data (Account with same Key Figures) the Query is its based on a BPC Cube. In rows a only the account and in the columns are the key figures. Now not on all Account are values in the cube. I say in Bex Query that they should show Master Data. In Analyzer there are all accounts also the account without values in the cube.
In crystal I only see account with values. I use CR SP3 and integration Kit SP3. I set u201CShowEmptyDatau201D to True but nothing happened.
As second solution I create a formula in Bex with the value 1, take it in the columns but nothing happened in crystal I only see accounts with values in the cube.
    I donu2019t know what I could do.
Second I had problems with the general connection of Bex and Crystal.
In the normal way I create a new report with the Sap Integration Kit Menue. What is the different between this way and the way with the crystal function new report and use a new MDX Connection. In booth ways with the same SAP System I get different connection parameters. Which way is the right way.
In addion if i set Show Empty Data to True, i get ask for the query variables and after it show empty data is set to false automaticly

    Hello Ingo,
    really??????
But in release notes of SAP Integration KIT XI 3.1 SP3  SAP shows it as one of the big new features. I couldn't believe that this is a fake?? Thats was the basement why we use it.
Is it in BO 4.0 possible to use only Crystal Reports Designer (which Version?) and a BW System with the Integration KIT?? Like in XI3.1??
We only use Crystal Reports Designer with Integration KIT and the Integration KIT in the BW System. Is there an Integration KIT of BO 4.0 with transports for the BW System?
I couldn't believe that it is not possible in XI 3.1. I stay in contact with the SAP and then im really angry because in the documnentation there is the option listed.

the  SET PARAMETER ID 'FBAS'  i m using is right? if not plz suggest me how to find out correct one?

    Hi Vicky,
To know the Parameter Id of any field in a transaction ,
you just press F1 onthe particular field then in technical settings under Field data
you can see the PARMATER ID.
So if you check like this you can see 'BLN' as parameter id for Document number in FB03
    transaction

  • Set Parameter id is not working in case of select-options

    Hi,
i am using the below code to get the SWIA first field fill with some data which i am getting by logic written..but its not getting filled since in tcode the first input box is select-options not a parameter..if it would have been a parameter than my logic would have worked finest. so kindly suggest what to do now in case of select-options.
    form user_command  using p_ucomm    type sy-ucomm
                             p_selfield type slis_selfield.
      data : wi type sww_wiid .
      clear : wi .
      read table it_final into wa_final index p_selfield-tabindex.
      if sy-subrc = 0.
        check ( wa_final-wi_id is not initial ).
        wi = wa_final-wi_id .
        case p_ucomm.
          when '&IC1'.
set parameter id 'WID' field wi.
call transaction 'SWIA'and skip first screen.

  • How to set the default display date of Calender prompt of SMPortal???

    Good Day!!
As for as my knowledge, the default date Visible in all Calender prompt will be the
Starting Date in the Specified date range either "RelativeDateRange" or "AbosoluteDateRange".
But we have a requirement to set the default date to a date in the middle of the specified range, I don't find any option to specify in Request Offering Wizard or MP's xml file.
    Our scenario is as follows,
We are trying to customize the CSPP's request offer "Request Virtual Machine", which has a user promt to select Decommission Date for the New VM. We have configured the date prompt as Relative Date range and set the
Start date as "1 day next to user's current time" and Maximum date to "90 days after relative date".  So the user will get option to select Decomm date from (1-90) days with the defalut date as 1st day next to his current
time. But our requirement is to set the default available date as 90th date in the above mentioned Relative Date Range.
I couldn't find any option in Request offering Wizard as attached below,
Also I couldn't even find any tag to specify the default display date in the MP's XML file as attached below. Is there any other <tag> can be included inside <Details> tag to accomplish this ??
Is there any other way to accomplish this???
        Please advise
    Thanks,

This is probably a link editor parameter, see the linker and loader guide.
Another thing you can do is write your own sbrk() that will log whenever it's called, so you can at least see how many times it's called and with what values. If you really need in-depth instrumentation, write your own heap routines and give them the same names as the CRTL routines. The linker should find yours first and route all memory operations through them. At least, that's the way it worked for me on SunOS 4.1....

    Madhav,
Can you check if you are sending blank values to the date parameter?

  • Issue with using GET n SET Parameter in module pool programming.

    Hello Friends,
I am using SET n GET Parameter to access input values from a screen. But when I use it, the values are not transfered back n forth. Getting initial values.
    Your expertise would be appreciated.
    Cheers,

    Hi,
    check this
Filling an Initial Screen using SPA/GPA Parameters
To fill the input fields of a called transaction with data from the calling program, you can use the SPA/GPA technique. SPA/GPA parameters are values that the system stores in the global, user-specific SAP memory. SAP memory allows you to pass values between programs. A user can access the values stored in the SAP memory during one terminal session for all parallel sessions. Each SPA/GPA parameter is identified by a 20-character code. You can maintain them in the Repository Browser in the ABAP Workbench. The values in SPA/GPA parameters are user-specific.
ABAP programs can access the parameters using the SET PARAMETER and GET PARAMETER statements.
    To fill one, use:
SET PARAMETER ID <pid> FIELD <f>.
This statement saves the contents of field <f> under the ID <pid> in the SAP memory. The code <pid> can be up to 20 characters long. If there was already a value stored under <pid>, this statement overwrites it. If the ID <pid> does not exist, double-click <pid> in the ABAP Editor to create a new parameter object.
To read an SPA/GPA parameter, use:
GET PARAMETER ID <pid> FIELD <f>.
This statement fills the value stored under the ID <pid> into the variable <f>. If the system does not find a value for <pid> in the SAP memory, it sets SY-SUBRC to 4, otherwise to 0.
To fill the initial screen of a program using SPA/GPA parameters, you normally only need the SET PARAMETER statement.
The relevant fields must each be linked to an SPA/GPA parameter.
On a selection screen, you link fields to parameters using the MEMORY ID addition in the PARAMETERS or SELECT-OPTIONS statement. If you specify an SPA/GPA parameter ID when you declare a parameter or selection option, the corresponding input field is linked to that input field.
On a screen, you link fields to parameters in the Screen Painter. When you define the field attributes of an input field, you can enter the name of an SPA/GPA parameter in the Parameter ID field in the screen attributes. The SET parameter and GET parameter checkboxes allow you to specify whether the field should be filled from the corresponding SPA/GPA parameter in the PBO event, and whether the SPA/GPA parameter should be filled with the value from the screen in the PAI event.
When an input field is linked to an SPA/GPA parameter, it is initialized with the current value of the parameter each time the screen is displayed. This is the reason why fields on screens in the R/3 System often already contain values when you call them more than once.
When you call programs, you can use SPA/GPA parameters with no additional programming overhead if, for example, you need to fill obligatory fields on the initial screen of the called program. The system simply transfers the values from the parameters into the input fields of the called program.
However, you can control the contents of the parameters from your program by using the SET PARAMETER statement before the actual program call. This technique is particularly useful if you want to skip the initial screen of the called program and that screen contains obligatory fields.
If you want to set SPA/GPA parameters before a program call, you need to know which parameters are linked to which fields on the initial screen. A simple way of doing this is to start the program that you want to call, place the cursor on the input fields, and choose F1 followed by Technical info. The Parameter ID field contains the name of the corresponding SPA/GPA parameter. Alternatively, you can look at the screen definition in the Screen Painter.
The technical information for the first input field of the booking transaction TCG2 looks like this:
The SPA/GPA parameter for the input field Company has the ID CAR. Use this method to find the IDs CON, DAY, and BOK for the other input fields.
The following executable program is connected to the logical database F1S and calls an update transaction:
REPORT BOOKINGS NO STANDARD PAGE HEADING.
    TABLES SBOOK.
    START-OF-SELECTION.
      WRITE: 'Select a booking',
      SKIP.
    GET SBOOK.
      WRITE: SBOOK-CARRID, SBOOK-CONNID,
             SBOOK-FLDATE, SBOOK-BOOKID.
      HIDE:  SBOOK-CARRID, SBOOK-CONNID,
             SBOOK-FLDATE, SBOOK-BOOKID.
    AT LINE-SELECTION.
SET PARAMETER ID: 'CAR' FIELD SBOOK-CARRID,
                        'CON' FIELD SBOOK-CONNID,
                        'DAY' FIELD SBOOK-FLDATE,
                        'BOK' FIELD SBOOK-BOOKID.
      CALL TRANSACTION 'BOOK'.
The basic list of the program shows fields from the database table SBOOK according to the user entries on the selection screen. These data are also stored in the HIDE areas of each line.
If the user selects a line of booking data by double-clicking, the system triggers the AT LINE-SELECTION event and takes the data stored in the HIDE area to fill them into the SPA/GPA parameters of the initial screen of the transaction. Then it calls the transaction. Since you do not suppress the initial screen using AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN, the initial screen may appear as follows:
If you would use the AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN option with the CALL TRANSACTION statement, the second screen would appear immediately, since all obligatory fields of the first screen are filled.

  • Getting Error with date parameter field -"Invalid DATE"

    Hi
I created a report with 9.2 version. And  i created 2 date parameter fields in it. And within crystal reports it works fine.
But If, I call from the VS2005 crystalreport.net(report document) SDK , i am getting error as Invalid Date" enter a Date Value". Actually it is a dtp control. how can i modify it.

<p>There&#39;s not enough details to get a good understanding of your scenario, but it sounds like you&#39;re using some kind of date control to retrieve the date value and pass it to the report&#39;s parameter field at runtime. </p><p>If this is correct, it sounds like the format of the date value from the control may not be what the report is expecting. To debug, I would first use hardcoded values when you set the report parameter fields to see what works. Then compare that to what the return value is from the control to see if they match. I suspect the formats differ. </p><p>I did a quick search on the BOBJ kbase and found a couple of articles that may help you. I recommend searching as there are lots of information on how to set parameter fields at runtime. </p><p><span style="margin-left: 5px"><a href="http://technicalsupport.businessobjects.com/KanisaSupportSite/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=c2010247&sliceId=&dialogID=8582434&stateId=1 0 8584068" target="_blank">c2010247</a></span><span style="margin-left: 5px"><span style="margin-left: 5px"><a href="http://technicalsupport.businessobjects.com/KanisaSupportSite/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=c2010251&sliceId=&dialogID=8582434&stateId=1 0 8584068" target="_blank">c2010251</a></span></span></p><p>-MJ</p>

When trying to open a contract from a program I am facing problem.
The Transaction is VA43 for which I write the following lines:
SET PARAMETER ID 'AUN' FIELD lv_vbeln.
CALL TRANSACTION 'VA43' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
    where lv_vbeln is defined :
    DATA: lv_vbeln LIKE vbak-vbeln
MY PROBLEM is that VA43 doesnt get the value I sent it. Even checked in Debug. Pl. let me know what should be done.

    Hi,
    use the following..
SET PARAMETER ID <b>'KTN'</b> FIELD VBAK-VBELN.
