Set product catalog indicator

Hi,
Can anyone tell me how I customize the indicators for product catalog types? Because in XCM of ICSS application (component - Product Catalog) i have to associate the indicators '1000' or '3000' to a service request, a complaint or a product registration.
I' ve already defined the catalog usage in E-service in transaction SPRO - CRM - E-SERVICE - ICSS - SET UP INTERNET TRANSACTION. But i cannot find the place where i have to define those indicators.
Regards,
Hugo.

Hugo,
how ur creating catalogs automaticallcally or manullay. and what is ur requirement to create automatically.
It may also effect in icss other than catalogs.
and to maintain indicators the path is ICSS-product registration-product catalog usage
Thanks,
Priya

  • Architecture of Product Catalog Publishing

    Hello CRM Experts,
I've created a product catalog in CRM 7.  I'm using the CRM Webclient to create my sales documents.  I thought that the catalog would be available in the Webclient but that is not the case for me.  When I go to the webclient I don't see my catalog.
We're using the CRM 7.0 system in standalone mode.
While reading the documentation I ran across this document which lists the requirements for integrating the product catalog from CRM 7 to the Webclient
    [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/en/1c/12b2dc57d644d19ea3a5c4156f904f/frameset.htm]
A few questions arose after I read this.  I'm hoping you can help me with some of the details (the text in italics comes from the documentation referenced above).
You have set up a Java based CRM Product Catalog. For more information, see Creation of Product Catalogs. I'm assuming that this is referring to the regular product catalog I've setup in CRM 7.0.  Why does it say "Java Based" ?
You have set up a Web shop running on a Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) server. For more information about the configuration of the Web shop, see SAP Solution Manager  Do you know where I should look in Solution Manager?  What if I'm using CRM 7.0 in standalone mode.  Solution Manager is not involved.  I'm working on a sandbox environment
You have configured the Extended Configuration Management (XCM) settings. For more information about Extended Configuration Management (XCM) for Web Channel, see SAP Solution Manager.  Do you know where I should look in Solution Manager?  What if I'm using CRM 7.0 in standalone mode.  Solution Manager is not involved.  I'm working on a sandbox environment
You have assigned the user to a business role. The following table explains the technical names for each business role in the standard implementation: My role has Sales Professional role. I'm assuming that should suffice.
    I'd appreciate your inputs.
    Thanks

For E-Commerce with CRM, (Web Channel - E-Selling) Product Catalog is a mandatory component. CRM Web Channel provides the required User Interface for the CRM Product Catalog. For the functioning of Product Catalog in CRM, TREX is mandatory. While the Product catalog definition and product master data still remains in the CRM backend, the TREX (Index server) is used to keep the product id and some pertinent chracteristics / attributes of the product in indices, thus making the product search as a "offline" task and searches are much faster without any load to the backend system.
E-Commerce with ERP (R/3 backend) provides Product Catalog feature - but has two solutions, one search with TREX and the other without TREX. Product search without TREX are run in the R/3 backend. Unfortuntely there is no such solution with CRM.
Well, now coming to using Product Catalog with Web UI (Interaction Center), you need the Product Catalog in CRM, and hence TREX. Hope this explains.
Now, ask the Basis team to please read the [Installation Guide|https://websmp103.sap-ag.de/crm-inst] and [Master Guide|https://websmp103.sap-ag.de/~sapdownload/002007974700000372592008E/50089607_A4_CRM70SR1_130.pdf].

    3.7.2 Catalog Management in CRM
    Description
You use this business scenario to create a centralized product catalog that contains product
descriptions, multimedia displays, pricing, and associated literature. The catalog enables quick
and easy customer access to timely and personalized product information. Product catalogs are
implemented in sales processes and are of particular importance in CRM Web Channel for presenting
your products in the Web shop.
    Software Units
The following software units are required for the Catalog Management in CRM scenario:
    Mandatory:
    1. CRM Application Server ABAP
    2. CRM Application Server Java
    3. SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Search and Classification (TREX 7.0)
In the current context, there is no immediate option for 3rd party solutions.

  • List Price Not getting displayed in B2B Webshop Product Catalog

    Hello Experts,
We have done all the required configuration to view the LIST PRICE in B2B Webshop product catalog.
    We have done following settings:
    1. Pricing Procedure assignment to the PRODUCT CATALOG VARIANT
    2. Initial Replication of the product catalog
    3. Shopadmin setting for List Price (radio button selection on the GENERAL Informaiton Tab)
    4. XCM Setting - No IPC
    5. For the defined variant, we have maintain an entry in the Parameter for List Prices - ZPR0 and table as CUS506 and Catalog Price type as List Price.
6 Downloaded the required condition record from ECC to CRM with correct validity period
But still we are not able to see the LIST PRICE. Any other change (say addition/removal of product from CATALOG areas)in the CATALOG is getting dispayed correctly in the WEBSHOP product catalog except LIST PRICE. That means we feel there is no issue from TREX perspective.
Any other pointers will be really helpful.
    Regards
    DJ

What are the fields for CUS506? During replication if the list price is replicated from this table then all the key fields mentioned in this table should be available during replication for this table.
What my wild guess is that maybe this CUS506 has a field e.g say SHIP_TO or SOLD_TO etc.. Now at the time of replication.. there are no shipto or soldto hence no values/price will replicate to TREX.. hence u will see nothing in catalog.

  • Can we have a b2b webshop without Product catalog in it

    Hi Gurus,
I have a scenario where I dont want to Product catalog on the webshop. Customers log in and just want to see the order history.
How can I set this up.
Please explain if this is possoble.
    Thank You

    Hi Ram,
yes, you will have to create a catalog without products. This is because the catalog is a required field when creating a new shop in the shopadmin. Only when you use the webshop with an R/3 or ERP backend, no catalog is required at all.
    Best regards,
    Martin

  • Problem with Path Managed property in alternate zones - also we have identified problem with Product catalog in alt zones

    Hi All,
I'll start "one step back". Note we have resolved this issue but it is worth mentioning:
Yesterday we set up the product catalog. We were having a lot of inexplicable problems with it initially. After much troubleshooting, we found that it was because we were browsing the SharePoint site via the "Internet Zone" rather than the "Default
Zone" when we "Connected" our site to the product catalog. Issues experienced:
    1) "Catalog Item URL Format" displayed error "Properties <Managed Property> specified by the shared catalog could not be found in the search schema" when attempting to connect to the catalog, despite that managed property being
configured correctly. The catalog would connect despite the error, and the navigation worked fine.
    2) The search Result Source for the catalog would not return any results. Configuring the query and selecting "Advanced Mode" would show SPSiteURL:http://externalURL.domain.com. Changing SPSiteURL manually to
http://InternalURL resulted in results being returned as expected.
After much troubleshooting, we found that if were browsing SharePoint using the default zone (http://InternalURL) when we connected the Product Catalog, the result source then worked properly (internally and externally).
Ok, so now onto our current problem:
The Product Catalog appeared to be working properly (internally and externally) after figuring out that we needed to connect it from the Default Zone. However, we have found a remaining glitch, which doesn't appear to be Product-Catalog-specific. Consider
    the following scenario:
    1) We click a category in our Product Catalog, such as Electronics
    2) A list of our electronic devices are presented via the "Category" display page
    3) If we click on a specific item, a different URL is returned internally vs externally. We only get the friendly managed navigation URL when browsing via the Default zone. And of course totally different pages load based on which URL you get.
Internal (when browsing via Default zone):
    http://InternalURL/catalog/PRODUCT-CATEGORY/PRODUCT-NAME
External (when browsing via Internet zone):
    http://ExternalURL.domain.com/catalog/Lists/Products/DispForm.aspx?ID=1
We have reviewed the display template, and the "Path" managed property is simply being used to render the link. Furthermore, we have configured the Content Search web part's "Property Mappings" to show the "Path" MP, and it
displays the same (wrong) result externally.
This tells us that the Path MP is not correctly rendering "Friendly URLs" when using managed navigation.
    Any help/ideas?
    Our environment:
    SharePoint Version: 15.0.4667.1000
    Default Zone: http://InternalURL
    Internet Zone: http://ExternalURL.domain.com
We are NOT using host named site collections
We ARE crawling the Default zone URL in our content source
    Thanks,
    Tommy

    Hi,
We have now also observed the same issue with a Managed Property of type “Hyperlink/Picture”. The picture returns the wrong URL externally.
This post describes the same issue, however the poster found that setting UseAAMMapping=True doesn’t work in 2013:
    http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/104806/set-the-useaammapping-property-of-a-managedproperty-object-map-an-url-of-a-h
We checked, and our Picture MP had UseAAMMapping=False. We set it to True, did a full crawl, and see no change in behavior. Path already had UseAAMMapping=True.

  • How to attach PDF file to product catalog in e-Commerce ERP

    Hello Experts,
We are implementing SAP E-Commerce for ERP (ECC 6.0 version)
On the product catalog, I need to attach a PDF file to the products.
I have created a document as
    Document Type: DMO
In this I have created 1 original as:
    Applic: PDF
Original:  "abc.pdf" (the PDF file has been uploaded to the correct Web Server folder)
This document has been assigned to the product as u2018Documentsu2019 in the product catalog.
I replicated the catalog on TREX. However now I am not sure how to acess this document on the e-Commerce Products JSP.
When I access the product index on TREX, I do  not see any attribute that contains this document Type containing the PDF.
(The standard LIM / SIM documents are getting attached correctly to the products, I see the relevant images on the JSP)
I am not sure if I am missing something in attaching  the document?. Please let me know what else is required to be done for this?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Roopali

    Hey Roopali,
Following is the procedure to Attach a multimedia object .
Hope you are following this especially point number 16.
    1.     Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
    Transaction code     COMM_PCAT_ADM
SAP CRM menu     Master Data à Product Catalog à Maintain Product Catalog
You will have Material Master rather than Product catalog as it is ECC version.
    2.     In the Product Catalog field, enter PRODUCT CATALOG
    3.     In the Catalog Type field, enter Manual and automatic assignment.
    4.     Choose Change.
    5.     Expand Header Data by choosing the Expand data area Button labeled Header Data
    6.     Check that the status is Inactive.
A yellow light bulb indicates that the status is Active. To set the status to Inactive, click the light bulb and a gray light bulb appears.
To add new products to your product catalog, you must first deactivate the status on all levels.
    7.     In the Object Name screen area, select your product catalog.
    8.     Choose Expand all.
    9.     Double-click the catalog area to which you want to manually assign your objects.
    10.     Check that all products are set to inactive.
    11.     In the Item list, double-click the product.
    12.     The selected product is shown below in the screen area Item Details.
    13.     Choose the Item Documents tab.
The tab page Product Documents provides information about which objects are already assigned to a product in the product master. This means that these objects cannot be changed in the product catalog. They can only be changed in the product master.
    14.     Choose the folder YCRM_IMAGE  or YCRM_THUMB and choose Import document. Browse for the multimedia object that you want to assign to the product.
    15.     Select the object (picture) and choose Save.
    16.     Choose the tab page Properties to set this multimedia object as language-independent, set the field Language-Independent(Prod) = Yes.
This field controls the publication of documents in catalog variants depending on the language. This means that the document is valid for all languages in which the catalog is published.
    17.     Choose Save.
    Regards,
    Sumit

  • How to add new attribute in product catalog?

    Hi All,
Can anyone tell me how to add new field/attribute in product catalog?
The requirement is to display product's new attribute on product catalog screen.
Do I need to create any custom java class?
    Need suggestion!!
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Rupali

    Hello Rupali,
I am assuming a CRM E-Commerce scenario for my help here.
Can anyone tell me how to add new field/attribute in product catalog?
You must start from defining the new Attribute in an exisiting or new Set Type. Use transaction code COMM_ATTRSET. Once you have the attribute / attribute set defined, you can assign this to your catalog - in the header data as the Basic characteristic List.
to display product's new attribute on product catalog screen
See catalog/ProductDetailISA.jsp for tips - search for catalog.isa.attribute. The catalog item WebCatItem has all the details available already.
    com.sapmarkets.isa.catalog.webcatalog.WebCatItem currentItem = webCatItem;
If you want to show the details of attributes in the catalog page - say - catalog/ProductsISA.jsp, the instance of WebCatItem is already available. In this page look for
      <isa:iterate id="item"
                   name="itemPage"
                   type="com.sapmarkets.isa.catalog.webcatalog.WebCatItem">
You can see that item is an instance of the WebCatItem and follow the code in the <isa:iterate> loop. Using the following code
    Iterator itemAttribute = item.getCatalogItemAttributes();
will give you the attribute list. You can iterate over the list of attributes and do what you want.

  • RQL Query to get the specific range of product items from product catalog.

    Hi All,
I need to do the batch wise query to product catalog.
For that i have use Query builder but that is giving me repeated items, now i wanted to use RQL using rqlStatement.
Please help me in solving the issue.
Query which i have used using QueryBuilder.
                    RepositoryView productView = productRepo.getView("product");
                    QueryBuilder productBuilder = productView.getQueryBuilder();
                    Query productQuery = productBuilder.createUnconstrainedQuery();
                    RepositoryItems[] productItems = productView.executeQuery(productQuery,startIndex,endIndex);
Can anybody help me in writing RQL Query to get the specific range of product items from product catalog.

    Hi Shakuntala,
There is no executeQuery method defined in RqlStatement Interface, which will accept index for output result.
So As far as I know, what u are trying to achieve is not possible with RQL statements OOTB way.U can consider range of results based on some condition from Repository items.
Please let me know if u find any way to implement it.
Above Query builder should always return different ids if range is not overlapping with previous range.
Please verify that repeated items ids are same or different,
    Quoting from API docs:
    RepositoryItem[] executeQuery(Query pQuery,
                                  int pStartingIndex,
                                  int pEndingIndex)
                                  throws RepositoryException
Executes the given query and returns an array of matching RepositoryItems, which are contained within a total potential result set. For example used if one wanted to retrieve elements 50-60 from a query which could return 100 elements.

    Nitin.

  • ISA Product Catalog Images Problem

    Hi,
I am having problems displaying the images in the ISA B2b product catalog. I have already set the image in CRM and replicated the product catalog. But the images still wont display in the product catalog. It displays an x inside a box. And the path does not exist.
Please help. Is there a guide that you can send me on how to do this? Please send it to [email protected] Or please just give suggestions on how to do it.
    Thanks a lot!
    April

Images don't display in B2B using the port.  You have to view via CRMWEB if you want to see the images.

  • Setting Ind/Coll indicator in a sub-con PO

    Experts,
We have a situation where for a MTO sub-con Sales Order we end up with stock available for the component & hence would like to put in an enhancement to set the Individual indicator for the comp to Collective.
I'm not sure where the Ind/Coll indicator appears on a sub-con PO for the component? is there one?? all I find is a "Special Stk" field at the header matl lvl, which can be set with Normal Stk, Cust Stk, Prj Stk etc..
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

I found the Special Stock indicator "E" on the Component detail of the finished products Sales Order, I guess thats the one I was looking for. I want to now change this to normal stock, how can I?
Is there a standard function module in SAP with which I can find the components being used on any given sub-con PO. Also, my interest is to find if the PR for that comp has been converted to a PO. Only then I would like to make some enhancement to my FG PO.

  • Publishing Product Catalog without Images/Documents

    Hello Experts
I got a nice write-up ([link|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/CRM/PublicationofCatalog+Content]) mentioning that the web server is not required while replicating the Product Catalog and when no images are required.
But still for the activity - Setting Target for Publishing Catalog Contents, I would like to know the entries to be made when we do not need any document to be uploaded with product Catalog.
SPROCustomer Relationship Management  Master Data  Product Catalog  Set Targets for Publishing Catalog Contents
    Publish. target
    Host name
    HTTP port
    HTTP directory
    RFC destination
    FTP Port
    User name
    Password
    FTP directory
    Regards, Vishal

    Hello Vishal,
There are two process at work usually when you mention product catalog replication
    1. The Replication (creation of the TREX index)
    2. Publication of the catalog content this uses the function module COM_PCAT_IMS_PB_PUBLISH to publish the catalog content to a webserver.
If you do not wish to publish catalog content all you need to do is leave the "Publishing Computer ID" field blank during the replication process and the publication will not take place.
The configuration in Set Targets for Publishing Catalog Contents will be checked and used if you have decided to use the Publication.

  • Product catalog call structure config

For each catalog there is a call structure defined in SAP SRM , My question is i have a Product catalog created in system with Logical system as XYZ SAPR/3 ( this is under subscreen techinical settings) ... after some days some budy changed it with different sap logical system how to track the change in call structure technical setting parameter. Is there any standard report to track the changes in product catalog call structure config.

    Hi
A change to the logical system in catalog call structure would have to have an associated change request in the TMS, perhaps you can check there with the transport admin as to who changed the BBP_WS_VC cluster.

  • Sales org determination from product catalog

Let's assume we have 2 sales areas required in CRM: sales org/distribution channel = 1000/10 and 1000/30, they need to share the same product catalog but have some personlized views for different customers.
Therefore, for the product catalog, I intend to maintain 2 variants distinguished by different distribution channel, and maintain some views specific to different customers.
In web shop, I flag the "catalog search (b2b internet sales)" option, but I wonder how is the catalog determined?if the catalog can be determined by choose one from list, how is the catalog variant determined by the logon internt user, i.e. how to determine the sales area by known BP(from internet user), as 2 sales area may be both assigned to the same BP?
If I unflag the "catalog search (b2b internet sales)" option, only 1 catalog variant can be set, does it mean I
have to create different web shops to assign different catalog variant for my scenario?
    Patrick

    Hi Patrick,
Sales Organisation are covered by the variants.
You have to define  several views. The views relates subsets of the catalog ( areas and items) to BP. You are free to relate views to BP list or you could also use target groups, which you could define with segmentbuilder.
To identify what a customer  will see, the standard will collect every view the Contact person and the Business Partner is related to.
Variants from all cataloges, to which the user is related via the views, will be filtered according to Language and maintaned Sales Organisation for the both Business Partner.
If there are more than one Catalog-Variants is shown to the Shop user by the so called SelectCatalog.jsp.
Correctly spoken it is a variant selection (and so the sales Org is determined), and since exactly one catalog is related to a variant, they call it catalog selection.
The union of all catalogobjects ( areas and items) which are related to that identified views will be presented to the customer ....
    Hope this helps.
    Regards
    Chris.

  • How to work with Product Catalogs that have multiple levels

I'm having difficulty understanding how to go about setting up a catalog site with multiple levels in the hierarchy. For example, the standard walkthroughs will display product categories and products. When the product category page is viewed, it displays
a list of products. That's fine.
I would like to have categories, sub-categories, and products. For example:
    1. Bicycles
      a. Road Bikes
      b. Mountain Bikes
    2. Clothing
      a. shirts
      b. shorts
The top level landing page should list all categories. Clicking on a category should take the user to a page that lists all sub-categories for that category. How are these landing pages created? It's simple to display the list of products in a sub-category,
as that's just a content search. But how do I generate a list of subcategories (or categories) dynamically, without having to manually create a page for each one?
Also, each category / subcategory should have it's own metadata, such as description, contact info, etc.
    Thanks,
    Mike G.

after you connect to a product catalog in site settings->manage catalog connections in a publishing site, page layouts and pages will created automatically for you in the publishing site. for a simple test, you can just leave everything to it's default
value when you connect to a catalog. you can find address for these page created in site settings->term store management tool, click on the term under your site collection group, and open the term-driven pages.

  • Accessing older versions of Product Catalog

    Hello Experts
We have a requirement wherein the web shop Admin can search for and access an older version of Product Catalog in the Backend GUI.  Product Catalog can be revised once in a month.
I would like to know and understand if there is any feature to store different versions of Product Catalog in the system.
    Regards, Vishal

    Hello,
Yes If your using release 7.0 with the staging concept enabled during the replication a new version of the Index will be created. This will only be an indexed version of the catalog but you can have multiple version available (but only one actiove version) you could then set an older version to active if required.
