Set Project status error Activity 000005012744 0010 No changes possible bec

Hi All,
I am getting this error on RPM "Activity 000005012742 0010: No changes possible because of status CLSD" after setting project status to Complete Technically or Closed. I could not change the status to any other status when set to these two statuses.
I tried looking for custom implementation in the BADIs but unfortunately breakpoint is not triggered on any of the BADIs. Is this a configuration issue?

I found out that the activity of a project should be released first before setting a status to the Project level after which is applied to the project hierarchy.

Set Project Assignment of Requests as Mandatory in Change RequestManagement

I am working solution manager 4.0 CHARM implementation. now my issue is i want to set project assignment of requests as mandatory in CHARM. but when i go to transaction code /tmwflow/cmsconf i dont find any projects.
Before this i have created a maintenance project for CHARM with maintenance cycle and activated change request management and i also generated IMG project for my maintenance project, but still i could not find any projects in /tmwflow/cmsconf. Therefore i would like to request you people to give your valuable inputs for this at the earliest possible.

Hi Yorker,
For the first part of your question where you want to make a field mandatory in the sales view of article master, you can do it through t-codes OMSR and OMS9 where you can find the field selection group to which your field is attached and change that field to reqd entry.
And for the secod part where you want to find out articles where this field does not have a value. Goto SE16N or SE16 and for that field click on the selection options button and select = and leave the field blank. This will give you all articles that don't have a value in this field.

'Project Status Report' activation in cProjects

Hi,
I was trying to configure the Status Reports in cProjects. I have completed creation of the form (chose DPR_PROJECT), activated the templates for the relevant Project type and also implemented the Badi with the correct form name. I am still unable to see any template dropdown in the application (cProjects). The DPR_Project template should appear in the same for me to create the Status Report. Please advice.

I think, it may be a ADS installation issue.
The configuration of ADS server is somehow not very easy, as I saw so many installations problems with status report in cProj. 4.0.
Would you please check the following notes:
900310 & 992492 .
And the following reports may be helpful to check the setting:
FP_PDF_TEST_00 (returns version number of ADS)
FP_TEST_00 (creates a test PDF)
FP_EXAMPLE_01 (creates a test PDF using SFLIGHT data)
FP_TEST_IA_01 (creates an interactive PDF that can be signed via certificate)
FP_PDF_TEST_12 (returns signatures of a signed PDF  requires secure (SSL) ADS connection  ADS_HTTPS)

C-Project Status Error

Hi,
Need help,
User release the project but it still show created in Basic data view,and if we check the change Document tab page it shows Project is Released.
And we check the status from Dropdown Release option is not there only Canceled and Completed.

And phase immediate to Project number is also in Create- inactive.

Status error in workflow while changing personnel admin in pa30

I have created a leave request in PA30, so that a workflow has to trigger, for personnel admin i am using custom rule for agent selection. I am following error in inbox instead of work item.

I have used the method approveinteractive in task in custom workflow and also custom rule for agent selection. I did binding between the mentioned employeet.admingrp ,,, to the variables declared in rule container.

Project Status Report - cProjects 4.0 - Run time error

Under Basic Settings, I go to 'Forms for Printing and for Project Status Reports'. Here, under 'Create PDF-Based Forms', I select the form 'DPR_STATUS_REPORT_AIF' and Activate it. I then get to 'Activate Forms per project type'.I get to 'New Entries' and add 'DPR_STATUS_REPORT_AIF' and also set the 'Active' and 'Status Rpt' checked.
When I get to cProjects front end, I see the 'Project Status Report' template under the 'Status Report' tab. However, when I click on the 'Preview' button, I get to see a dump.
"The following error text was processed in the system SRP : WebDynpro Exception: SOAP Framework error: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionTransport : HTTP send returned with status code(100.101)"
Can someone please suggest how to get something useful at the click of the preview button?

Hi,
Yes your basis team should tell you more about this. ADS Credential needs to be installed on the java stack of your cProjects Server. For this you will have to send a message to SAP requesting for the ADS Credential. You will then receive a credential file with its password.
However not all servers support ADS. There is a list of server names that support ADS. You can get the server name on which cProjects is installed from your basis team and I shall let you know if it is supported or not. You can also have a look at in the PAM (Product availability Matrix) for SAP NetWeaver 2004s - Additional Components at http://service.sap.com/pam

Reporting an error:
Project Status Demo. When I try to add a new task to a project, I get:
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small ORA-06512: at "CBOURBOU.PROJSTAT_TASKS_BIU", line 4 ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger 'CBOURBOU.PROJSTAT_TASKS_BIU'

i'm pretty sure that the cause of your error is that your userid is longer than 30 characters when you're logged in and trying to create a new task. all the projstat_tasks_biu trigger does is set the last_update_user, last_update_date, and task_id values for projstat_task table. last_update_user is defined in that projstat_tasks table as a varchar2(30), so you'll get that error for sure with a long userid when the trigger does a ":new.last_update_user := v('USER');". try either modifying your table or creating tasks while logged in with a shorter userid and let us know if you still have issues.

Short Dump while using BAPI_PS_PRECOMMIT to set Project Definition Status

I am getting a short dump while using BAPI_PS_PRECOMMIT for setting the Project Definition status..
The requirement is to create a Project Definition and then set its status to REL from CRTD. For this purpose i am using the BAPI's in the following sequence :
1. BAPI_PS_INITIALIZATION
2. BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN
3. BAPI_BUS2001_SET_STATUS
4. BAPI_PS_PRECOMMIT
5. BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT
The Proj Def creation is happening successfully in step2. Interestingly, when I debug the program and stop at PRECOMMIT BAPI the program does not give a dump. I have also tried to give COMMIT WORK / WAIT FOR n SECONDS after BAPI_BUS2001_SET_STATUS, to give BAPI sometime for DB update but nothing seems to be a permanent solution.
Please give your views on a solution for this problem..

I found following error when I save outline in ASO application. It seems that the application cannot be started correctly. Other applications (BSO/ASO) are running correctly.

try this:
Issue can be from both server and application side:
1)Addition of SERVERTHREADS with a proper value. When any database operation is requested then monitor the number of process, memory etc. Idea is to identify which process is trying to use max resource on server level.
2) Also, if possible try and increase the ulimit setting to "unlimited".
3) Verify NETDELAY and NETRETRYCOUNT -- Guess you have checked this so values should be fine here.
4) If the environment is windows then:
a)Open the Registry
b)Navigate to Local Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TCPIP\Parameters
c)Add new DWORD Value named TcpTimedWaitDelay, right click and select Modify. Select decimal radio button, type in 30. (The default value of this parameter is 2 minutes. This is how long it will take for a TCP/IP port that was used by the network for a connection to be released and made available again. 30 sec is the minimum allowed by Microsoft)
d)Add new DWORD Value named MaxUserPort, right click and select Modify. Select decimal radio button, type in 65534. (The default value is 5000. This determines the highest port number TCP can assign when an application requests an available user port from the system).
e)Add new DWORD Value named MaxFreeTcbs, right click and select Modify. Select decimal radio button, type in 6250. (The default value is 2000. This determines the number of TCP control blocks (TCBs) the system creates to support active connections. Because each connection requires a control block, this value determines how many active connections TCP can support simultaneously. If all control blocks are used and more connection requests arrive, TCP can prematurely release connections in the TIME_WAIT state in order to free a control block for a new connection).
f) Reboot the server.
5) On application side, look at the cache settings, If they are very high then try lowering them and check.

T&E Task TS20000130 (Set trip status to approved) - pernr locked errors

We are using a delivered task (TS20000130 - Set trip status to approved) in our T&E approval workflow. Since moving this to production, weu2019ve experienced intermittent cases where the workflow step completes with an error because the pernr is locked. Does anyone know what causes the pernr to be locked? Based on when this is happening, it appears that it may be being caused by payroll being locked. Also, Iu2019ve noticed that it executes the step multiple times prior to returning the error. Does anyone know if itu2019s possible to increase the number of times the step is executed before returning an error? Is there a way to change the time period between executions of the step?

It might be due to auto locking settings which will lock the user if he/she does not log into SAP for some considerable period of time. At least this is the case at my client. Re-check the Profile Mapping settings and see the difference after unlocking.
Let me know if anyone has more on this or disagrees with my comment.

Trying to set up Time capsule..."OS status error -50" error received

Hi,
I was trying to set uip my time capsule recently but it would not work, my wireless hard drive is set up for windows PC and also configured for my Macbook thru the Buffalo software, but when setting it up on my mac it will not complete the procedure and I receive this error message "OS status error -50", can anyone help me?

If you are talking about an external drive attached directly to your computer, yes, that should work fine. The general rule of thumb for Time Machine backups is that you will want to reserve at least 2 times the amount of space that your current Mac is using now to allow for a good "history" of future incremental backups.
So, if the HD on your Mac is using 200 GB, then you would want to reserve at least 400-500 GB of space for Time Machine backups, and more if you can.
It's not possible to partition the Time Capsule disk unless you physically remove it and place it in a separate enclosure. I would not advise this, as for starters, this would void the warranty. It is possible to create a "disk image" on the Time Capsule disk that will in effect accomplish the same task as a partition. Post back if you need more info on this.

Implementation Project status set to finished

When the project status once is set to finished in transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN it can't be set back to 'In process' again.
Is there a workaround for this?

Hi, It is possible to set back the project status to "In Progress" maybe you need more authorizations.

SET workitem in error status

Hi, i want to force the status error in one workitem. I have one Z objetc, in one of the method of this object i want to return an error to avoid the termination of the workitem. ¿Somo idea?

see, try this...
change the container, remove some mandatory field values. and execute the work item, this will cause the workflow to goto error as some uncaught exception might occur because of this.
or i am guessing that you are using a dialog workitem for now!! if yes, then go inside the debugger for this task method and do some activity some that it will dump
