Set purchased music as default ringtone
My 13 year old son purchased a ring tone, which is now shown as a song on his song list. He wants to set this song as his default ring tone. We kow how to change ringtones, but the song does not appear in the ringtone list. How can we either get this song into the list of ring tones or set the song as the default ringtone?
You choose the default ringtone on the iPhone in Settings>Ringtone. If you don't see the ringtone he purchased there it may be a song rather than a ringtone (especially if it appears on the songs list in the Music app). He can still create a ringtone from this song using iTunes, then sync it to his phone and set it as his default ringtone. In iTunes, try signing out of your Apple ID & then back in: click on iTunes Store on the left sidebar of iTunes, click on your Apple ID on the top right, sign out, sign back in. Then try to sync your purchased music to your phone again.

I downloaded a ringtone yesterday and set it as my default ringtone. Today it is gone and my ringtone is the standard default that came with the phone. I cannot find the ringtone in my settings and I don't want to have to pay for a ringtone for the third time. The ringtone does show up in my purchased file in itunes. How do I download it again?

iPhone Settings > Sounds > Ringtone > your purchased ringtones should be at the top of the list.

6275i help w/music files n ringtones
Hi, I have the 6275i and I can get music files onto it no prob, but when I listen with my nokia headset, I only hear it in one earphone. I'm unsure about the file conversion stuff, can someone tell me how to fix this?

My guess it that your phone has a special version of firmware on that was made by your network provider.

So I plugged my iPhone 4s into my computer to charge it and when it was done charging I fallowed all the steps to unplug it. However when I went into my music all my music was gone except for my purchased music and all of my ringtones were were gone too?
I have it set on manually manage music and videos. So there is no automatic syncing going on or anything like that. Yes iTunes was open and when i plugged in my phone i could see all the music and everything on my phone, everything was working like it was supposed to, I didn't have a problem until I unplugged the phone.

My stepdaughter has an ipod and used her mom's itunes account, now we set her up with her own itunes but I can only transfer purchased music to her library. How do I get all of her music off of her ipod? (she doesn't have all the cd's she used)
You may be able to buy a program to do this - not supported by Apple.
the ipod is not a storage device. The sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchaes.
The music should be on a computer as that is where they came from in the first place.
