Set Shipping Point as mandatory field in STO

Dear Expert,
I am trying to set shipping tab -> shipping point as mandatory field in STO, I went to SPRO->MM->Purchasing ->PO->Define screen layout at Document Level but were unable to find the field selection group that has the field.
Does anyone knows whether the shipping point can be set as mandatory field?

go to the config:
SPRO: PM & CS -> Maint. & Serv. Processing -> Maint. and Service Orders -> Define Field Selection for Order Header Data (PM)
...Choose "Field Selection for order header data"
...toggle to change mode (use menu "field selection at the top left". Then find your field (functional area CAUFVD-FUNC_AREA) and put the radio button to "required"
This will make it mandatory for all order types. If you want only specific order types, use the influencing fields to pick only certain order types.

WD_BADI_DOMODIFYVIEW - dynamically set screen element as mandatory field

Hi,
I would like to use WD_BADI_DOMODIFYVIEW to dynamically set a standard screen element on my Webdynpro as a mandatory field. Does anyone know which method in which class that I can use to set the status from 'Normal field' to 'required' ?
This is a for standard SRM webdynpro screen. Unfortunately I could not get the configuration to set the standard metadata field as a mandatory field.
Also this standard field does not have an existing binding to a context element to manipulate the status of the field. Hence I need to find a method that can directly change the attribute of this standard screen element to mandatory. I do not want to modify the webdynpro to change the status of the field to 'required'.

I think I understand what you are suggesting now. The trouble is IF_V_SC_DOFC_I_LIMITEM (the view I'm trying to enhance) does not exist in the BAdI.
When I go to the attributes of the View of the Webdynpro component that I'm trying to enhance I do see WD_THIS refto IF_V_SC_DOFC_I_LIMITEM.
It's just that in the BAdI WD_BADI_DOMODIFYVIEW this WD_THIS is not available and trying to define it like below does not work.

Sap sd set profit center as mandatory field in va01

here to set profit center field as mandatory in va01 i know the configuration in SD.
but this profit center field in va01 by default triggering one dummy profit center automatically.
i already set the configuration but not working bcoz of this dummy profit center.
provide the solution as soon as possible.

U can use Incompletion Log else transaction variant for the same.
Goto Tcode:SHDO -
> Transaction Code=VA01->Transaction Variant=bus2032>click with processing ikon on the top -> search for the field PRCTR (profit center)-> make it requred field

Here you can choose the fields as mandantory fields or not.

How can you ensure all mandatory fields are filled, before pressing the submit button?

Hi all,
I've got a complex form with many different pages (17 so far) and I'm using visible/hidden to change the layout so only 1 page appears at a time.
What I want to do is have a better check for what mandatory fields have not been filled out in my form. The submit buttons checks that all of the mandatory fields have been completed, but if that's 1 field on page 1, searching through my entire document would cause the users to lose the will to live!
I am after either returning more meaningful information to the user when a submit fails, or being able to run the mandatory check field every time the page changes. I already dynamically set most of the mandatory fields according to what is/isn't visible so adapting my form wouldn't take long but I have no idea how to get it to check if all the fields have been filled in.

Right, I have pretty much all of my validations working now... and here's the word you're waiting for... but, I am having a problem with fields that are already visible when the rest of the layout changes.
Basically, one of the options above the field with the problem is being changed, which makes the layout above that field change. This is triggering the validate event.
This wouldn't stop anyone using my form, but it is an annoyance.
Anyone able to help?

Why is it not possible to change the shipping data in the purchase order?
Answer:
This function was implemented in Release R/3 Enterprise for EnjoySAP transactions ME21N/ME22N and was not provided prior to this. The following fields from the delivery data are also grouped together: VSBED,VSTEL,LFART,ROUTE, and LPRIO. This means you can only protect all of these fields or change all of these fields together. It can be implemented in a customer system Release 4.6B/4.6C as part of remote consulting, see also Note 769579.
Alternatively, you can define the shipping data by modifying the standard release; for more information, see Note 303453.

How to make Shipping point mandatory in VT01N transaction

my requirement is when we goto transaction VT01N and provide TransportPlanningPlant
and Shipment type , and click on delivery there is a field Shipping point which i need to make as mandatory.
or if the user wants to continue without Shipping point it should give some message and further processing should not be done.

Shipping point in STO defined upon storage location

Hello, all
On stock transport order I want to set up shipping point in a way that it is determined regarding to storage location I have entered in header of STO.
Storage location is saved in field EKKO-ZZLGORT (tab Customer data). Now I need solution how to determine or overwrite shipping point when entering items.
For example:
. if storage location is 100, shipping point should be AAAA
. if storage location is 200, shipping point should be BBBB
I know that shipping point is determined according to combination of Plant-Shipping conditions-Loading group. And it works this way now.
Is it possible to do this via customizing ? If user-exit is needed please specify which and what must be modified. I'm not a programmer but I know business process. Will get help of programmer if needed.
I'm looking for this solution because I want to prevent that VL10b puts Stock transport orders with different storage location in header on same delivery.

Hi,
You should be able to use METHOD if_ex_me_process_po_cust~process_item to change the shipping point. We've created a customer table in which we've set the corresponding plant, SLOC and shipping point combination which is read during execution of the BADI.
You can also use METHOD if_ex_le_shp_delivery_proc~save_document_prepare for changing the shipping point in the delivery.
We've used above for return items. We're on 6.0 as well and for all non return items, standard customizing is available, but not for returns.

In Transaction Code VF04, can shipping point set to be mandatory ?
Currently i have found the solution, I'm using variant and make shipping point to be required field and set that variant at t-code SE93 (start with variant).
or maybe i need to create new roles for each user to default the shipping point?

I really think you came up with reasonable solutions.
Since VF054 is to handle billing what could be order or delivery based, not having Shipping point as a required field in the standard is a very understandable thing.
I would suggest to use transaction variants, but I can see you are already doing it. Great!

KE24 no shipping point for STO(Stock Transport Order)

When I run KE24(account based), I found some of the data without "shipping point" value. Most of these records are from STO orders.
May I ask if there is any solution for this issue?

Hi, This situation in ONLYfor STO orders.
For other orders, it is normal.
Therefore, I do NOT think this is because COPA fields are NOT maintained.

In STO Process How can i Change the shipping point manually

I need clarification in STO process, shipping point determined automatically based on ovl2 setting like Shipping condition from customer master loading group from material master plant in the line item.(here the shipping point is1000.)
In my scenario it picking correctly shipping point(1000) even i have maintained manually shipping point(1200) in ovl2 but when i am creating STO document UB change shipping point at item level in shipping tab system allowing the manual shipping point (1200) but when i enter or save the document system overwrite 1200 to 1000,system consider only automatic determination in shipping point (1000)
Can you please help why i am not able to change the manually shipping point 1200( even i maintained in ovl2 manually shipping point 1200)

Sending a calendar to another country is not supported in many jurisdictions - as it can lead to extra charges for the receiver. As I have no idea what country you are in you can select your country from this list

could maybe a transaction variant (create via SHD0) be helpful? You have then however to also create a "variant transaction" (e.g. ZSU01) pointing to it and remove SU01 from your admins to enforce it.
Advantage is, that this is SAP standard and compatible to any future SP implementations.

How to remove the mandatory field setting in output control

Hi everybody,
While printing a Payment Voucher through F-58 and FBZ5(reprint), there are two output devices, the first one is - printer for forms and second is - payment advice printer.
In our case we have configured the cheque printing and payment voucher printing seperately. The cheque goes to first printer(kept mandatory field) and the payment voucher goes to second printer. One of our plant does not print the cheque from SAP, they only print the payment voucher because the cheque is manually prepared. How do I avoid the cheque printing. Is there any way out to print only the payment voucher through F-58 and FBZ5
Please guide me how to tackle it or how to remove the mandatory field setting in the output control screen?

As of my understanding, there is no relation ship between the Sales Organization and this mandatory partner function.
Here are few suggestions.
1. Since Partner functions are defualted and made mandatory in the Partner Determination Procedure so you have to remove this Mandatory option for PE from the Partner Determination Procedure that is AG if using standard one.
2. If you are using a single partner function than , Copy and create a New partner procedure and a new account group . Where in one you can default PE as mandatory and in another one you make a optional where it can be choosen manually while creating the customer.
Follow the path to check for entries :
SPRO > sales & distribution > Basic Function > Partner Determination > set up partner determination > select for customer master > select the partner procedure you are using AG as standard > then partner function in procedure > here maintian the check as required like, Mandatory or No check for Non Mandatory .
