Set Target Values-Disabled

Hi,
I am trying to run a load in iSetup 11.5.10.2. I tried to upload snapshots for Accounting Calender and Suppliers but in Load Request: Review and Edit Data the Set Target values is disabled/Greyed out.
I understand that Set Target values is available for certain setup's only. In the user guide I had seen an exaple for Accounting Calender hence tried that.
Any inputs by this is disable would be very helpful.

Hi,
I dont think there are is any seeded setup which can set the KPI at the WIP level and run reports on them. But there are standard reports which will give you the trend
i.e. Capture WIP Inventory Trend, Capture Production Indicators, Capture Production Performance. These are only based on the transaction date ranges and they dont look at any setups but only at the transacted data (move transactions, material transactions and resource transactions).

After that define Agency and Schema for sender and Refceiver with values what ever u have manually.

OIM 11g R2: Setting target attribute dependend on process type (create, update, disable)

Hi,
I try to set an attribute ("Action") of users on a target system (Lotus Notes) dependend on the type of process that was carried out:
When the user is created in Lotus Notes by oim, "Action" should be set to the value "create".
When the user is updated in Lotus Notes by oim, "Action" should be set to the value "update".
When the user is disabled in Lotus Notes by oim, "Action" should be set to the value "disable".
What would be the easiest way to achieve that? And how exactly would I have to set that up? (I have tried reading the documentation on Adapter Tasks, however I wasn't able to get that to working...).

thanks for your reply. I had some troubles trying to follow your description, but this is what I did:
1) Create one field in your process form as "Action".
I used the pre-existing field "RoamSubdir"
2) Create a new Process Task in Lotus Notes Process Defn for "Action Updated" (You can use OOTB adapter for mapping purpose)
DesignConsole: Process Management > Process Definition > "Lotus User", Add: "RoamSubdir Updated"
3) Create a new Process Task Adapter which populates which takes input as input1 and return the input.
Development Tools: Adapter Factory > Adapter Name "RoamSubdirAction", Adapter Type: "Process Task" > Tab "Variable List", Add "Name: input1, Type: String, Mapped As: Resolve at runtime", Tab "Adapter Tasks" > Add "Logic Task", "Set Variable", Variable Name "Adapter return value", Operand Type "Variable", Operand Qualifier "input1"; Click "Build".
4) Create 3 Process Tasks in Lotus Notes Process Defn . One for each action. For example: Update Action As Enable, Update Action As Disable, Update Action As Create. In each process tasks, pass input as Enable,Disable and Create respectively.
Process Management > Process Definition > "Lotus User", Add: Task Name: "Update SubRoamdir As create", Tab "Integration", Add, "Adapter", adpROAMSUBDIRACTION. Edit "2|N|input1|input", Map To: Literal, String, create; Edit "1|N|AdapterReturnValue|ReturnVariable", Map To: Process Data, Qualifier: RoamSubdir
5) Map each tasks created at step 4 to success of Create User, Enable User, Disable user respectively.
Process Definition > Edit "Create User" > Task Dependency, Dependent Tasks, Assign "Update RoamSubdir as create"
However, this does NOT work. When provisioning a new user on Lotus, looking into the resource history I can see that "Update RoamSubdir as create" is NEVER called.
Did I do something wrong?

How to set a value to a disabled field in an B1 screen ?

Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to set a value to a disabled field in an existing screen.
For example , I want to set a value to the Paid/Credited field in the Sales - A/R Invoice screen, which is a disabled field.
I tried setting the field as enabled but it throws an error.

It depends on the business process required for generating the invoice. (What is this process just now?)
I can think on quite a few ideas, but can't be sure if any of them will match your specific requirements. I'll list a few here and see if any of them might work, or at least generate some new ideas for you. (Unfortunately you can't change an existing payment object to add an invoice to it at a later date, nor is the reconciliation process exposed through the SDK. This limits your options a bit.)
1) Is there a need for a separate delivery and invoice? Would skipping the delivery process and using the standard Invoice + Payment screen work for you? Stock would be issued, invoice created and payment matched directly to invoice without any work.
2) This might apply if the invoice is simply a one for one match with the delivery. Rather than just generate a payment in the delivery screen, generate the invoice and a payment at the same time. The standard invoice screen will then show it as paid. You can control the dates on the invoice raised through DI code.
3) Where do you write the Paid Amount to? How is it not available in the invoice screen? Put it somewhere accessible and write it to the user field.

Contract Target Value to PO

Dear All,
I am having a Service PR with value 2,695,929.00 USD, also one contract with Target Value 7000000 SAR, but in the service specification of contract, value is 5.00 SAR.
Now I had created release order with ref to both PR and Contract, and PO had captured 5.00 SAR from contract service specification. But the buyer had changed the currency as well as value in PO to 2,695,929.00 USD which exeeds contract value. System message 06/042 and SE/347 is set to the status "E". Still for the above process system not showing Error "Target value of contract & exceeded by & &".

How to set a value to a Presentation Variable using GO URL?

     I am working on a drill (GO URL) from Dashboard page1 to Dashboard page2.
     The problem I am facing is, I am not able to pass a value to the presentation variable through GO URL. (I have to pass "Customer Category" static
value to The presentation variable present in Dashboard Page2 ).
     The Dashboard page2 is having a view select in which we are using presentation variable to select the report based on the value selected in
View Select.
     For example: If the user selects "Customer Category" value in View select and clicks on GO button Customer Category report will show the out put.
     When i am drilling from Dashboard Page1 I have to pass a value to the presentation variable used in view select and also pass some filter condition in
     GO URL.
     Please let me know if it is feasible to pass a value to the presentation variable through GO URL in OBIEE 10.1.3.4.
     It will be greate if you can provide me with the syntax to set a value to the presentation variable of dashboard page2 through GO URL.

1) You have to navigate to dashboard page, not to answer request = you have to use "Dashboard URL API" not GO URL API.
2) On the target page, you have to place dashboard prompt, which sets required presentation variable.
3) Refer to the target using Dashboard URL API and set filter on prompt column using URL parameters. Example: http://localhost:9704/analytics/saw.dll?Dashboard&PortalPath=%2Fusers%2Fadministrator%2F_portal&Page=page%201&Action=Navigate&P0=1&P1=eq&P2=D_TIME.YEAR_CODE&P3=%221996%22
Do not forget to use Action=Navigate. The syntax for setting filters using url parameter is the same as for GO URL API described in Business Intelligence Presentation Services Administration Guide.
This is the way, you can implement navigation to parametrized direct SQL reports including passing filter values...

How to prevent numericstepper from setting the value to the defined Maximum when a number greater than maximum is entered in by keyboard and user hits the "Enter" key.

I need to set the Maximum so that the use can use the mouse to change the value of numericstepper (and not go over a certain number), but at the same time I have to allow the user to enter their value by typing in the text field. When the user enters a number greater than the Maximum, I disable the "Ok" button of the dialog and show a red warning(error message). The issue is that the user can hit "Enter" and numeric stepper would set the value to the Maximum and the dialog box would close and the rest of code would run. I want the numericstepper not to change the value and keep showing the warning even if the user hits the "Enter".
Note: Setting maxChar does not help since my maximum is 1000, and user might enter 5555

The issue is that if I set the maximum value of stepper 1 greater than the max value that I want, then the user can select an invalid value(of myMax + 1) when he clicks on the UP arrow of the numeric stepper(which is not acceptable for what I am working on).
I need to preserve the users invalid number, while not letting the user to select an invalid number by clicking UP key.
I noticed that when the user enters a number greater than the Maximum, and then click on the down arrow, it would set the value to 1 less than the maximum. This is not acceptable either.

Setting the value of a field based on a dropdown list

I am using the latest production release of JHeadstart 10.1.3.0.91. I am trying to set the value of a field based on selecting the value of another field (drop down list). The drop down list field has the following attributes set autoSubmit="true" immediate="true" valueChangeListener="#{jhsPageLifecycle.updateModelValue}".
The other field has the partialtrigger set to the first field. ie "depends on" selection from JHeadStart file. The value of the second field is set in the setter of the VO RowImpl java file.
The value of that field is only populated on the screen if it is set to disabled="true". This seems a bit bizzare behaviour. Can you explain why it cannot set the value of the field when it is not disabled.

Worked out that if i set the "Clear/Refresh value" attribute on the field that i want updated then it will work ok

Can't Set Item Value After Calling Stored Procedure

In a forms6i program unit, I call a stored procedure. The stored procedure executes successfully. Then I set the value of a date item on a data block to sysdate.
When I run the form and execute the program unit the stored procedure executes successfully, but then the program unit gives me a No Data Found error when I set the value of the date item on the block. The value of the date item never changes. However, if I comment out the call to the stored procedure, the date item changes to sysdate and there is no error message generated.
Just to be sure, I moved the logic to set the date item value to a separate button on the form. Then I re-ran the program unit. The stored procedure executed successfully. Then I clicked the button to set the value of the date field on the block, which gave me the same no data found error.
Then I commented out the call in the program unit and re-ran the test. The program unit executed. Then I clicked the button to set the date value in the block and it was set to sysdate with no errors.
Why can I not set the date item after running a stored procedure?

How to set item values without using fields in branch's ACTION block?

Okay, I will try to say this in a easy way so it is not weird.
I have created a button, SAVE, that has a Branch of branch type: Branch To Function Returning A Page. This is my code for the branch:

The code for this type of branch is stored in the ACTION block of the Branch page. The ACTION block for a Branch of branch type: Branch To Function Returning A Page is different than the ACTION block for a Branch of branch type: Branch To Page Or URL.
I need to set some item values with some specific values, which I can do with a branch type: Branch To Page Or URL. This is not possible with the branch type: Branch To Function Returning A Page. The ACTION block is totally different.
How can I set some values on say Page 2040 from Page 2008 without using fields in the branch's ACTION block?

I love seeing different perspectives in solving problems, it opens my eyes to new ways of looking at/using the tools (reserved words and 'Function returning a Page', etc.).
One of my pet peeves has been that on branches I was limited to only 10 variables to be passed (I know, who would want more - but there was an instance where I had to pass more), and an even more frustrating time when using report Column Linking, which limits me to 3 variables.
At least with the Branch linking I can use your suggestion Andy and add the variable setting statements into the function. I am assuming of course (and I should be able to) that I will be able to set more that 10 variables in a IF condition prior to the RETURN statement. This method will be much more understandable, for me, when looking through the branch at a later time to see what is happening, than an URL link where all the variable are strung out 'in a line' so to speak.
I will still need to use URL Target branching on Links contained within a Column Attribute when I need to pass more than 3 variables, of which I have several places where I do this.

Setting field value from antother field

I am having problems setting the value of a field depending on the entry of a previous drop down field.
I am creating some wizard pages. On one page i wish a drop down list to populate another field. The drop downlist is unbound. (I have tried doing this with bound field aswell). To do this I have the Depends on Item of the target field to depend on the dropdown list field, so that the appropriate values are updated. (i have tried with the target field being bound and unbound aswell not that it should matter).
I have then updated the VO (view object) adding transient fields when the fields are unbound. Then i updated the view row class. The setter of the drop down field was used to set the value of the target field. (Using the setter of target field). I added system.out.println and the fields are called and set accordingly. ie getters and setters are correct.
However when i run the screens the target field value is not set with the value within the getter of target field.
Could you advice if this is a bug or whether i should be coding this in a different manner. (if it is a bug and you tell me when it is likely to be fixed and any alternative work arounds).

Not really a bug, but "missing functionality". The problem is that ADF Faces will only refresh a UI Component value from the underlying model binding value when you submit the request with immediate="false", OR when you explicitly call resetValue() on the component.
We have added a new boolean item-level property "Clear/Refresh Item When Depends-On-Item Changes" in the latest build.That property will do the trick for you: it will clear the value and call resetValue on the UI Components of the dependent items, BEFORE the depends-on-item model value is updated. So, in your case, the setter method of your depends-on-item attribute will update your dependent item after JHS cleared the item, and you will see the new value right away because UIComponent.resetValue() was called as well.

quantity contracts are used when you would like to limit quantity irrespective of the value of contract. Therefore quantity field is made mandatory here.
similarly value contract is used when you would like to limit value irrespective of quantity of goods.Therefore value field is made mandatory here.

Setting item value for child tab

My application has pages with 2-level tabs.
I can set item values using the "Set these items" and "With these values" fields in "Tab Target" section in the application builder page of the parent tab.
However, I cannot find the corresponding fields for the child tab application builder page. ie. certain page items are being set when the child tab is pressed.
Creating page process to set the items doesn't work for me, because I only want the items to be set if the requested page to the current page is not the same one.

Use an on-submit before-computations process that fires conditionally based on the request, e.g., only if the request is one of a specified list of tab names.
