Set to print in B&W but come out in colour

Hi,
I have just bought a license for adobe acrobat X and installed on a PC running Windows 7 64-bits. Lately, I have noticed that whenever I wanted to print some PDF from the Internet, I have a problem with printing it black & white. By default, it is set to colour. However, when I specifically change from colour to black & white under printing preference, it always print it out in colour. This issue only happens when the PDF docs are open from the Internet. If they are from the Server, I do not get any of this issue.
I use adobe reader X to open and read the PDF docs.
I wonder if there are any workarounds to this problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Typically on the printer menu, there is a check box for B&W printing right below the preferences button. The one in the preferences has never quite done what you are requesting, don't know why. However, the one on the print menu seems to do the job for me.

Adobe PDF plugin 10.1.5.33 does not print correctly. Some text comes out all garbled but looks fine on screen.

I am using Adobe PDF plugin 10.1.5.33. I can open PDF files and they look fine. When I print some of the test comes out all garbled - usually labels, notes at bottom etc. If I disable plugin then when I open PDF Firefox uses Adobe PDF reader to open file and then printing is fine. I am seeing the same issue with Reader 11.0.1.36. Without the Adobe plugin enabled, no issue. Probably related to the type of font being used for the garbled text. There are many font bugs related to various fonts and various Adobe programs filed at Bugzilla. Looks like Adobe has some fixing to do with their Firefox / Netscape plugin.

Printing Issue: Colors print fine from Photoshop but washed out in Illustrator

I am having trouble printing from Illustrator. The same image...whether cut and pasted, opened in, or using the swatch created....prints differently in Photoshop and Illustrator. I need to use this specific color (for branding purposes) and it prints fine in Photoshop but washed out and grey-ish in illustrator.
I've made sure the color settings are the same (in bridge) and made sure all the print settings are the same. It is the same color on the screen, and in detail, but the print output is clearly different. Any help please??

If I print from Acrobat, everything is washed out and greyed - both the PDF from Illustrator and the PDF saved from Photoshop.
I tried letting the printer decide and I tried set to illustrator - both washed out and greyed.

I see that your Officejet printer and Email are not working together to produce a proper print, the font seems to be much smaller. Please answer the below question to allow me better ability to assist you.
What model of printer is your Officejet?
What is the Operating System installed on the computer, Windows or Mac?
What is the Email you are trying to print from, MSN, Gmail, Yahoo, etc?
Will the small font issue happen from other programs, Notepad for example?

Printing as 11x17, but comes out 11 x 16.3125

Hi there,
I'm printing from CS6 to a Canon Pro9000 Mark II. I have never had this problem before. In PS everything is set for printing like I have always had it: 11x17 image in PS printing to 13x19 so there is a nice 1" border around the image.
Now, the margins are off. The height is 11" spot on, but the width isn't 17", but closer to 16 5/16 or, 16.3125.
When I click "print" and the "print box" comes up, I have everything set as I always have: PS Manages colors. Photo Paper Platinum (printer profile), Normal Printing, Perceptual rendering intent, black point comp checked, position is checked for center and the scale is 100% at 240ppi.
Can somebody please help me figure out why the image isn't printing true at 11x17? I'd really appreciate it.

When I print a webpage there also comes out 1 or 2 empty papers. Tips on solution?

I´ve looked in the settings and there is 1 page marked - but I can´t come to think of a solution.
As for now I can´t use the Print option i Firefox...
Is there a tweak or a setting somewhere that solve the problem.
The printed page comes out fine - the problem is that i get this empty pages in the process.

No, it´s not a pdf.
It is a normal online bank view.
The bank have it´s own print feature - but when a transaction is made - and the info shows up in a normal webpage and you want to print out - this happens with 3 blank pagers and 1 perfectly fine print.
Note: it is not an external pop up window - it is a normal webpage - as it seems.
It functions ok with all online pages but this.

When printing labels for each printed label a blank label comes out of the printer

Hello Experts
We have a CR report which is designed to prints labels for the items using a label printer. After an upgrade that we have last month the settings for this report are missing so the labels were coming out wrong.
Due to this I have had to reconfigure this report and its printing preferences and so far I have managed to make the prints fit in each label. But the problem is that if I try to print 5 copies of a label, the 5 labels come out of the printer just fine, butt after it another 5 blank labels come out of the printer too.
I have tried with all parameters in "Printing preferences", mainly in the "Material" tab but nothing works.

TS2634 I bought a ipad back in December and the ear buds never worked. The sound doesnt come out of what you put in your ear but comes out of the little hole on the outside of the ear buds. Is this supposed to be this way?

The earbuds that came with my ipad have never worked. They have sound that comes out of the outside hole of the earbuds. When you put them in your ears no sound can be heard. Has this been a problem or did mine just come broken?

I have the same problem and it has just started in the last day or so...
Got the phone late July and then in the last day, everytime I plug into PC or take a photo, I get the same "Disk Error / Retry message"
What is interesting is that I always had the Photo Storage location as the Memory Card (detachable). Seems odd that sometime in the last month or so the phone decided to change my setting to the Mass Memory. Might have been an firmware update that I have done in the past but not sure.
Changing the Photo Storage Location back to the Memory Card has stopped the error coming up everytime a Photo wastaken, but the message continues when I plug in the phone to the PC.
Phone was just updated to latest firmware this morning and that has not helped, although during the back-up process I could not save some files from the Mass Memory.
I wonder if Optus will shout a new phone because their technicians are useless with past experiences and to be honest the N97 really promises so much but offers very little compared to all of my last Nokia's.

Actually you can't. When you print directly from iPhoto you will need to print to a 8 x 10 borderless paper size. That will produce the card with a white border on each size which can be trimmed off after printing. This screen shot shows how the card will print on 8" x 10" stock:

This is because the stock size for the card is 10 x 7 and no printer supports 10 x 7 borderless printing. These two tutorials describes how to print the card if you have a 3rd party image editor that can handle layers or have Pages from iWork: #8 - Printing a iPhoto Greeting Card and #8a - Printing a iPhoto Greeting Card to Standard Stock Sizes.

Printing from preview the colors come out inverted

I have a PDF that I scanned in myself and the first time I printed it it printed just the way it was supposed to. The next time I opened up the file in preview it looked normal on my screen but when I went to print it the output in the printer had the colors inverted. I have tried printing from preview and adobe acrobat and it printed the same the blacks came out white and the whites came out black. So I tried printing it from a windows computer and the file printed as it should, the colors were normal not inverted.
Does anyone know how to fix this? It doesn't happen to every PDF just a few that I have.

I have the same problem. I have a HP Photosmart 7525 printer and work with Windows 7. I just want to copy a photo and it keeps coming out much smaller. I just put the photo on the scanner plate in the corner, choose the copy icon, and out comes a small picture in the corner of my photo paper,.There must be a setting somewhere but I can't find it. I have an issu, every image i bring or change trough Photoshop CS6 and transfer to Indesign CS6 or Illustrator CS6 comes out in very bad quality and very pixelated whyle printed.
The original image in photoshop is 29x32 cm with 300 ppp.
When i transfer in Indesign, i have to reduce the site via the adjustment button and it comes in terrible quality.
It never happen before, its just recently, and i didn't change my way to save or the properties of my Photoshop, so if someone can help me to resolve this problem, i will be glad.

Before I should save the image as a PSD (without Clipping Mask and dont flatten the image). the print would come out different colours...not the same.
Are you saying the printer can't get a .PSD to output, or a PSD's color is unpredictable? Sounds like your printer can print .PSDs, but you have a color management problem. By different colors do you mean that the printed CMYK color values are different than what was in the placed PSD? If that's the case it may be that the PSD had a profile that conflicted with the InDesign document profile and you are getting unexpected color conversions somewhere in the workflow.

This is because you are not responding to a specific email - you are selecting to forward information from a different person to another person, which may be best sent as an attachment.

* include the received email in a reply
* Not include the received email in a reply
* include selected part (quote) of received email in reply.
A Reply implies a continued conversation and so the option to include the conversation is available.
This is set up here:

But regardless of whether you choose to 'automatically quote the original message when replying' or not, you can always highlight a section of text and then click on 'Reply' to include only the selected section of text.
A Reply will also not include any attachments that were received attached to the original email because you do not need to send back the senders own attachments.
Otherwise you create a new 'Write' message and attach the original email, so it is not technically a Reply - you do not use the 'Reply' button and these emails will not be threaded. It makes it more difficult to see continuity of conversation.

First page comes out blank

the problem you are facing might be because in first page general attributes you had not defined next page as page 2 ..as you are saying the desired thing is happening oon pages 2 and 3 but not for 1 and 2
so from this it seems that linking of pages might be missing.
