Set types
Hi All,
Please let me know the use of set types.I had created one set type with two attributes i had followed the below process
Create set type using the TCode COMM_ATTRSET, create two attributes with range of values.
Using the tcode CRMM_UIU_PROD_GEN, I added the set type to the Overview page.
Using tcode CRMM_UIU_PROD_CONFIG : Created the UI configuration for set type.
Added the set type in COMM_ HIERARCHY ,But I am not able to proceed further how to assign the two fields to the structure using the set type .
I am not able to see the fileds in the configuration tab of the component workbench.
Please do the needful.
Hello Vijay,
Once you have created the attributes and settypes, you need to identify the Component/View-Name and you need to
execute txn:CRMM_UIU_PROD_GEN for that component (for eg:PRD01QR or PRD01OV).
Then you need to goto the view of that component, where you want these 2 attributes of settype to get displayed.
And move the settype from available assignment block to displayed AB.
Execute txn:CRMM_UIU_PROD_CONFIG.
You can also refer note: 1026956.
If you want these attributes to have F4 help, then you need to associate value table or value range, in COMM_ATTRSE, for that attribute.
Does this answer your question?

Set type is not getting filled
Hi ,
I have created a set type ZTLS_ORG, which is organisation dependent. This set type has fields from table MVKE. I am filling up the fields of this set type in an enhacement of Badi Definition Customer_product2. But the values are not getting populated, when I am checking it in product master through commpr01. Kindly suggest.
Regards
ShwetaHello Shweta,
You mean to say that attributes of your settype is nothing but fields from table MVKE?
Have you generated the settype before using it in your program?

How to change the Organizational Dependency of a Set Type
Hi All,
With the creation of a new set type we made the mistake to not select "Distribution-Chain-Dependent" in the "Org. Dependency"-field.
Now we already maintained a few materials (only in development system) with data in the attributes of this set type, but noticed that the data is not Sales org. dependent. Seems logical, because we forgot to set this org dependency in the set type, but now we want to correct this and I hope you could provide us with the best way to do this.
The field it self is no longer editable in change mode (seems logical, since all tables/structures/relations are already created and messing with this dependency could mess things up) but we really need the org dependency for our product attibutes. So, I wanted to create a new set type, and replace the old one with this new one in our category, but I can't even delete the old set type from our category, because I get the message: "Products of this category already exist; Set type cannot be deleted".
What would be the best way to solve this? (is there a way to change the org dependency of the existing set type?/should I create a new set type? If so, how to delete the old set type and it's data?)

Thanks,
NeerajHi Neeraj,
It looks like you have created a custom compenent "ZURLSETTYPE". If it is the case please check in Run time repository for component "PRD01OV". Check if component usage of newly created component is defined, not then define it and see the result. this may help.
This doent work then please elaborate what you have done littile more.

Error message "Data cannot be maintained for set type COMM_PR_PUR_1
Hi
While replicating the material master through R3AS I am getting an error for which the details to be checked in SMW01. In SMW01 when I selected the record for error details I am getting above error message. How to resolve ? Pls guide me stepwise. For your information I has cleared SMQ1 in R3 & SMQ2 in SRM
For curioisity next I selected all such error logs & deleted. It gave me one warning (some inconstinecies error) which I ignored. After that I checked SMQ1 of R3 & SMQ2 of SRM. No log
But I observed a strange thing. Whatever material codes I am creating it is going straightway to SRM without running R3AS transaction. I checked R3AM1, selected the row and cancelled. But still going without any interferrance. Why ? How shall I stop this.
ThanksHello,

Error while Generating Set Type
Hi All,
While adding new attribute in a Z set type for products the system generated error during generation.
Now when I am trying to display or change that set type the system is giving error "Please enter a description for set type Z*******" and terminates.
I tried looking the various methods, screens and tables generated but everything looked fine.
Please suggest how to restore this set type.
Thanks.Hi Gervase,
I tried creating the relation for the settype manually in extend object Model of products but it is giving error ProdSetICM_OTH_WEAPONA01 doesn't exist.
This is strange because this entry has been mainted in all systems and it doesn't exist in Object list.
Any clue to this.

Creation of Service Product with Set Type and Attribute
Dear All,
Please guide me with proper step by step process,
How to create the product with the set type and attribute for service industry in sap crm 7.0
Regards,Hi Nitin,
Before creating the Service type of product, you have to define the Base category for Service type product. Generally the category for service will be created under the R3 hierarchy R3PRODSTYPE. You can create this category using the TCode:
COMM_HIERARCHY. Here you have to select the product type as Service and have to assign the set types to the category.
You can create a service product using the transaction : COMMPR01 -> Click on Service ICON -> Select the Category for Service Type. Then fill in the details for Service Product description, Service ID(Based on number range settings for products), Language.
Also fill other details like Base Unit of measure, Pricing condition for different sales areas for the service product.
Since you are using CRM7.0, you can do all these activities using a POWER USER role.
For more information about Set types and hierarchies please refer the following help link:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/EN/46/57672501a208e7e10000000a114a6b/frameset.htm
Hope this helps!

Set type problem in sales order integrated into loyalty management
Hi experts,
I try to implement the sales order integrated into loyalty management. As notes said, I should use the set type REWARD_PRO_LOY to assign to a hierarchy for loyalty. But when I use this set type in hierarchy, I found I can only assign it when I choose "service" for product type. Then I find in the "REWARD_PRO_LOY" set type, there is a switch tab. In the tab, there is only "services". I don't understand this tab means. I want to assign this set type to "materials" type. I tried to created a new set type with the same attributes, but it seemed not to work. Is anybody can give me some advice to solve the problem?
Thanks a lot,
Best Regards,
Molly XinHi Molly Xin,
If you refer to your first screen print, its very evident that the product types with which products be created using this set type includes both "Materials" and Services".
We have created similar scenario and were able to create products with product type "Materials".
Pease let me know if you have any issues while creating products with product type "Materials".

Missing Set Types in CRM 5.0
Hi Gurus,
We are trying to create hierarchy/category in our standalone CRM 5.0 system. However, after creating a new (base) category under the hierarchy we created (no other hierarchy in system), we cannot find the text-related set types (COMM_PR_LGTEXT1, COMM_PR_LGTEXT2, COMM_PR_SHTEXT). Can you please advise why this happened? How can we bring the set types back to the selection list?
Many thanks,
Leon CaoHi Leon
I've recently faced this issue. Following is the solution:
These particular set types can only be assigned to one Hierarchy and categories in that hierarchy. However this hierarchy must be assigned to the applications first.
You need to be very cautious for doing this.
1. First identify any other hierarchy (e.x. Hierarchy XYZ) where these settypes are assigned. If such hierarchy also contains products then you need to delete those products to cancle the assignemnt of these set types from that hierarchy XYZ. you can use the following reports to delete the products a) COM_PRODUCT_DELETE_ALL and b) COM_PRODUCT_DELETE_SINGLE. to run these reports you must make entry in 'COMC_PR_TOOL_REG' tabke. To run these reports use transaction SE38 and to make entry in the table use transaction SE16
2. Once all the products are removed. Then you can remove these set types from this hierarchy XYZ.
3. Assign your hierarchy to the applications in IMG -> CRM-> MASTER DATA -> PRODUCTS -> CRM STANDALONE here select assign hierarchy to applications and assign your hierarchy.
4. Now you will be able to add these settypes to your hierarchy.
Comments: If you cannot delete the products for any reason then the best way is that you create the required products under Hierarchy XYZ and also assign your hierarchy to these products. this way you will be able to make use of your hierarchy.
Caution: if these set types are assigned to hierarchy R3PRODSTYP or R3PRODHIER or R3MATCLASS. then do not even think about removing them because they may have been downloaded from backend R/3 system and will be unmodifiedable. Here follow my comments stated above.
Hope this will answer your query.
Cheers

How to use Set type datasources ?
Hi,
Our team has recently implemented CRM for one of our clients and now are integrating BW with CRM. Thus are developing corresponding objects in BW.
In CRM, the team has created many set types and made those BW relevant as a result system created datasources for each attribute of the set type.
Has anybody used set types to extract data into BW?

Set type attribute search help in Web UI
Hello,
I've created a set type attribute in the SAP GUI in CRM 2007 which links to value table BUT000. On the product in the SAP GUI, the F4 search help brings up the standard BP search help (COM_PARTNER).
I've assigned the attribute to the web UI, and the field displays correctly, however when I click on the F4 help, the system only shows me a list of BP numbers without even a description description, and not the standard search help. The response to my OSS message is that this is "standard".
Any suggestions as to how to enable the correct search help for this?
Thanks,
AlisonHello,
This is an example :
READ TABLE lt_multivalues WITH KEY fieldname = 'ZOPERATION_ID'
INTO ls_multivalues.
IF sy-subrc NE 0.
READ TABLE lt_multivalues WITH KEY fieldname = 'ZKIT_ID'
INTO ls_multivalues.
ENDIF.
IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
Z search
CALL METHOD me->search_by_kit
EXPORTING
it_search_tab = it_search_tab
it_multivalues = lt_multivalues
iv_number = iv_number
iv_item = iv_item
iv_archive = iv_archive
iv_call_authority_badi = iv_call_authority_badi
IMPORTING
et_guidlist = et_guidlist
et_return = et_return.
ELSE.
Standard search
CALL METHOD me->search_standard
EXPORTING
it_search_tab = it_search_tab
it_multivalues = lt_multivalues
iv_number = iv_number
iv_item = iv_item
iv_archive = iv_archive
iv_call_authority_badi = iv_call_authority_badi
IMPORTING
et_guidlist = et_guidlist
et_return = et_return.
ENDIF.
You have to fill et_guidlist with the results.

Edited by: Asish Dash on Sep 8, 2009 10:58 AMHi Manish,
From my experience, you cannot change an existing attribute of a set type (esp. when it has a dependency).
You need to delete the attribute, save the changes and then re-create the attribute with new value table.
Also remove any dependencies before deleting the attribute.

How to change set type attribute of a product
Hi ;
I created additional fields for products by using "COMM_ATTRSET". It created a table and functions but I dont know how to change this additional attributes.I cant use these attribute set functions because i dont know fragment_id yet. I think there must be a function encapsulates them.
Is there any BAPI to change set type attributes?
PS: In forums , I found an FM "COM_PRODUCT_MAINTAIN_MULT_API" but I think it hasnt been used anymore in CRM7.0
ThanksThanks for your reply ;
but FM 'COM_PRODUCT_UI_MAINTAIN' doesnt have any generic import parameters to send my data to it in form of newly created attribute set type table "ZPRODUCT".
I want to set some fields of ZPRODUCT and i need to send them in this structure, this table has column FRG_ID , if you set an additional parameter for the first time , it generates new GUID..I think 'COM_PRODUCT_UI_MAINTAIN' generates this GUID but i dont know how to use it.
Can you give an example about using this FM? -
JDBC-ODBC Bridge to SPSS data files - Result Set Type is not supported
Hello,
As mentioned in the subject I am trying to read SPSS data files using the SPSS 32-Bit data driver, ODBC and the JDBC-ODBC Bridge.
Using this SPSS Driver I manged to read the data directly into an MS-SQL Server using:
SELECT [...] FROM
OPENROWSET(''MSDASQL.1'',''DRIVER={SPSS 32-BIT Data Driver (*.sav)};DBQ=' SomePathWhereTheFilesAre';SERVER=NotTheServer'', ''SELECT 'SomeSPSSColumn' FROM "'SomeSPSSFileNameWithoutExt'"'') AS a
This works fine!
Using Access and an ODBC System DNS works for IMPORTING but NOT for LINKING.
It is even possible to read the data using the very slow SPSS API.
However, when it comes to JDBC-ODBC the below code does only work in part. The driver is loaded successfully, but when it comes to transferring data into the resultset object the error
SQLState: null
Result Set Type is not supported
Vendor: 0
occurs.
The official answer from SPSS is to use .Net or to use their implementation with Python in their new version 14.0. But this is obviously not an option when you want to use only Java.
Does anybody have experience with SPSS and JDBC-ODBC??? I have tried the possible ResultSet Types, which I took from:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/db2luw/v8/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.db2.udb.doc/ad/rjvdsprp.htm
and none of them worked.
Thank you in advance for your ideas and input & stay happy!
Here the code without all the rest of the class arround it:
// Module: SimpleSelect.java
// Description: Test program for ODBC API interface. This java application
// will connect to a JDBC driver, issue a select statement
// and display all result columns and rows

DriverManager.setLogStream(System.out);
// Attempt to connect to a driver. Each one
// of the registered drivers will be loaded until
// one is found that can process this URL
Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection (url);
// If we were unable to connect, an exception
// would have been thrown. So, if we get here,
// we are successfully connected to the URL
// Check for, and display and warnings generated
// by the connect.
checkForWarning (con.getWarnings ());
// Get the DatabaseMetaData object and display
// some information about the connection
DatabaseMetaData dma = con.getMetaData ();
System.out.println("\nConnected to " + dma.getURL());
System.out.println("Driver " +
dma.getDriverName());
System.out.println("Version " +
dma.getDriverVersion());
System.out.println("");
// Create a Statement object so we can submit
// SQL statements to the driver
Statement stmt = con.createStatement(ResultSet.TYPE_FORWARD_ONLY ,ResultSet.CONCUR_READ_ONLY);
// Submit a query, creating a ResultSet object
ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery (query);
// Display all columns and rows from the result set
dispResultSet (rs);
// Close the result set
rs.close();
// Close the statement
stmt.close();
// Close the connection
con.close();
}Thank you for your reply StuDerby!
Actually the above script was before, as you suggested, leaving the ResultSetTeype default. This did not work...
I am getting gray hair with SPSS - in terms of connectivity and "integratebility" none of their solutions offered is sufficient from my point of view.
Variable definitions can only be read by the slow API, data can only be read by Python or Microsoft Products... and if you want to combine both you are in big trouble. I can only assume that this is a company strategy to sell their Dimensions Platform to companies versus having companies developping their applications according to business needs.
Thanks again for any furthur suggestions and I hope, that some SPSS Developper will see this post!

Photoshop cs6 running extremely slow on opening a file. have reset prefs and set type to none. have to force quit most of the time.
I'm experiencing the same trouble. Photoshop takes 5 minutes to open then runs fine.
I recently bought a new iMac AND updated to Adobe Master Collection CS6. My concern is that PhotoShop now takes 5 minutes to open. The Photoshop desktop pops up immediately, but the moment you click on a tool or try to open a file (no matter the size) results in the spinning wheel for five minutes before you can do anything. After that, Photoshop appears to work fine.
What I’ve done:
Ran Adobe updater
Reset Photoshop Preferences
Validated all fonts and removed any trouble fonts
Ran the font test
Set font preview size to none
Cleared the Photoshop type cache and system cache
Disabled Symantec Endpoint
Tried running with the GPU processor on/off and in basic
Tried opening Photoshop with optional third party plug-ins turned off (still took five minutes but this time I didn’t even get the Photoshop desktop view until AFTER the five minutes)
I’m wondering since I migrated the files form my old computer (and older versions of Master Collection) did something get corrupted.

The operation is not allowed for result set type FORWARD_ONLY
Hi,
I am trying to use scroll insensitive resultset in following manner-
Statement stmt = con.createStatement(ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE, ResultSet.CONCUR_READ_ONLY);
ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery("some sql here");
rs.last();
but the rs.last() throws this exception-
com.sap.dbtech.jdbc.exceptions.SQLExceptionSapDB: The operation is not allowed for result set type FORWARD_ONLY.
at com.sap.dbtech.jdbc.ResultSetSapDB.assertNotForwardOnly(ResultSetSapDB.java:2725)
at com.sap.dbtech.jdbc.ResultSetSapDB.last(ResultSetSapDB.java:557)
Database version: Kernel 7.5.0 Build 019-121-082-363
Driver Version: MaxDB JDBC Driver, MySQL MaxDB, 7.6.0 Build 030-000-005-567
This used to work with 7.5 version driver. Why this is failing with 7.6 driver, any clues?
Thanks,
VinodHi Vinod,
due to performance improvement when using forward only cursor we changed the default for the resultset type from TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE to TYPE_FORWARD_ONLY starting with JDBC driver version 7.6. So I guess the exception comes from a statement where you didn't set the resultset type while creating it. Please check if all of the statements that you want to be scrollable have set the correct resultset type.
Regards,
Marco
