Set-Up 2 New Accounts - Nobody has Write Rights

For the first time ever I've set up my Mac with a few different user accounts, one for my intern and one for guests. I've placed all of the files I'd like these two users to have access to in my Shared folder. However, when I log-in as anyone but myself I get a message that says this user only has Read Rights. I've done a Command I on that folder and switched all of the toggles so that is says Read & Write for everyone and I've gone into Preferences and turned on Sharing for these new users as well. Clearly I'm doing something wrong here. Can anyone help.

What you are seeing is normal. The OS X default is that new files/folders are read/write for their creator, and read only for everyone else. This is true no matter where on the boot volume the files are stored. If you want to grant write permission to some files/folders it must be done manually.
There are a few ways to get around this. You can store shared files on an external hard drive, and in the drive's Get Info panel, check the "Ignore ownership on this volume" box. Then all users will have write access to the files.
If you want to keep the files on the boot volume and have them automatically granted read-write access to other users, so that the permissions don't have to be changed manually, check my gold-starred post in this thread:

If you used your original welcome email, which contained a link to delete the BB ID, then you are supposed to be able to create a new BB ID with the same email address. If you used some other method to delete your BB ID, then you should find that email and use that method. If that does not work, then you will need formal support...which is only available via your carrier, who would need to escalate your case into RIM.

If you set up a new account on your iPhone you won't have access to all the data associated with the prior Apple ID.

Ask the company providing you internet juice to get online. If it is Comcast, it typically is smtp.comcast.net or mail.comcast.net. If it is Verizon, it is outgoing.verizon.net. If it is someone else it is some SMTP server that is assigned by the company that you pay your bills to get online with.

Did you ever fix this problem? The same thing happened when I just changed my kids passwords and now can't access their mail on their iPods or my iPad but I use the same email provider and mine is fine however I did not change my password. If you fixed it how did you?
