Set up for SIM 13.2.5 Eclipse workspace
Hi
Does anyone have any pointers to setup the Oracle SIM 13.2.5 eclipse workspace.
I only have the source java files that are released from oracle and need pointers on the build files.
If any of you have the same can that be shared here?

Hi,
You can only track the debug control throughout the client side code till the remote method call to the server services. As the application is a distributed application, you can not track the server side components in debug mode. I think if you enable the server with configuration settings for remote debugging, you can do it so.

SIM 13.2.3 Eclipse Workspace Debugger with OAS/Weblogic server fails
Hi All,
I have setup my eclipse workspace with the ORSIM 13.2.3 source code. Also, i have ORSIM 13.2.3 installed on both OAS 10.1.3.4 and Weblogic 10.3.3.0 . Both the application servers are running in Debug mode. I am able connect the remote java application to both the servers from eclipse.
I have added a launcher in eclipse so that i can launch SIM 13.2.3 through eclipse.
If i keep any breakpoints in the panel, model or ejbServices that debugger points to those breakpoints when the target reaches there. But the debugger fails to go to the Bean implementation or the server services classes.
I have created 2 videos one of the debugger (http://youtu.be/1YkJA9gSvwk) and one of the eclipse workspace (http://youtu.be/CNDpvOU_PAE).
Please let me know where i am going wrong. We need the debug to move uptp the server services classes and to the dao layer.

Feature request for JDev in comparision with Eclipse
In JDeveloper 10.1.3 Preview release, I see only one option to find out a resource (applies only to Java files). Eclipse supports this feature for any type of resource in Workspaces. (Ctrl+Shift+R) : You can find any resource in Eclipse but In JDev this support is only applicable to Java classes.
Will finding any type of Resources will be implemented in production release.
Further things which I find useful in Eclipse compared to JDev are:
1) In Search option you can select a field or member and seacrh the refernces like Read/Write Access on a member in a java object. This is one of the most important feature I feel.
2) Organize Imports, JDev doesn't support this. If I have a java file where imports are not proper, I have to each line and Press Alt+Enter. If I have 20 members where I didn't do import (which happens when I import a project to JDev), I have press 20 times Alt+Enter. I feel this feature should be useful to all.
3) Object structure in Eclipse. In a Java source file, if u press Ctrl+Shift+O, Eclipse shows a the members, so I need not go to structure window to find it. If my class is a huge file, I have to scroll through.
4) Refactoring support is still not in comparision whith Eclipse or IDeaJ like externalise strings etc...
Looks like JDev code Assist is like hard coded Assistance. If I type "If ()" still not completed the statement, it says "Negate If statement". This really doesn't look good.
Bug in JDev 10.1.3
When my connection manager is active and I select a Java file in the code editor and click "Select in Navigator", JDev doesn't find it. It finds it only if System Navigator is active and the node in which Java/JSP file exists is expanded, else it reports as not found.You can get something even better right now: Lightroom can show Lab values if you right-click on the histogram and check "show Lab values". The L is what you want:
(The K in Photoshop refers to whatever is set as gray working space - what the value would be if you converted the file to it. The actual readout varies according to what that working space is). -
I've had my MacBook Pro for several months. Sadly I've not been able to use it for my work (I'm a writer) as I couldn't open my software, Final Draft. I installed it several times, uninstalling it each time to avoid glitches, but every time I tried to open it I had an error message, that the permissions had to be reset. I went onto disk utilities and did everything I could to reset/repair. I spent days and weeks on the phone both to Apple and to Final Draft, but no one could help.
Apple were adamant that it was a software error and so today I bought yet another version of Final Draft (£140), this time from the net, and downloaded that. Same old same old. Once again, over and over, I followed the 'trouble shooting permissions' advice on the Apple website, still no luck. Finally, finally, tonight, a technician was able to take me through an obscure routine which ended up with the message that my laptop had been set up with 'No Available Users'.
In effect it's a useless piece of metal and has been from day one.

Anyone else had a laptop set up for no available user?I'm not sure that I followed everything, but you got a replacement phone and continue to experience problems? It sounds like a logical move would be to have AT&T replace your SIM card. I would doubt that the size/fit is an issue, these things are a standard size, but replacing the SIM will have an impact on the network set-up that might be the root cause.

Matlab Script in LV 8.0 for 'SIM Command'
Dear all
I have problem using Matlab Script in LabVIEW 8.0 for 'SIM(Model, Final Time)' command.
1. Does Matlab Script Server supports all the functions in Matlab 7.0.1? I runned 'SIM(Model, Final Time)' on the LabVIEW Script, but no results obtained. It is supposed to get a figure output there.
2. If I run some function in Matlab Script with input parameters. Do I have to set these parameters in Matlab Script of LabVIEW as 'Input' or I can set them in Matlab Workspace first then apply them directly. Since some of my parameters are classified as structure class. They won't allow me to use them in Script as 'Input'.

I believe that you are using the MathScript node, but I am a little uncertain:

with any ‘server’, but the particular function you request may not be
implemented. Which type of node are you
using? If you are using Mathscript, and
the function is not implemented, feel free to request it – we are happy to
consider implementing it for a future version of LabVIEW. If you are using the MATLAB Script Node, I
suspect the problem is with the way the node is setup, or with the ActiveX
server.

Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.

Setting timeout for all the web test scripts in the solution

I have around 16 web test scripts (using VSTS 2010 ultimate version) in my project (in a solution). By default the timeout set for each request is 60 sec. I need to increase the timeout to 180 sec. Currently, I am clicking on each request and modifying
the timeout parameter from the Properties window.
Is there any common setting for timeout available which would be acting across all the scripts?

We only can set Timeouts for a separate request in Visual Studio Web Test. There is no way to set Timeout for all requests in VS IDE. But you can write you own logic code using
Timeout Property in a web test plugin to set Timeout for all requests in a web test.

What is the best home set up for a family to share/use apple products
Hi, I am relatively new to apple (have an iPad) and having been a PC user for years I was pleasantly surprised with the apple experience and am now trying to work out the best set up for me, my husband and young son as I am buying them both of them apple products this Christmas. New Mac laptop/ ipad for hubby and then an ipod touch for my son oh and a new mac laptop for me. We are also thinking of moving from Blackberries to iPhones. Yes we seem to be hooked! but i am unsure about the home family set up and how to replace my PC network that I run off an 8TB server.
In reading the forums I keep seeing people talk about problems they have with two apple IDs and trying to merge them. I have also heard about a family ID allowing us to share apps legally. I am really nervous of setting us up wrong and then having problems later and hence i am now looking for some advice on how to share as much as we can legally but also make usage practical and not invading each others privacy. thoughts so far:
Music - I think we are happy to share the same music and access using one ID (we currently don't buy much music from apple but have lots of CDs we share).
Photos - It would be nice to share photos - as long as my son or husband cannot accidentally delete photos of mine (which is my biggest concern). I currently load all camera photos onto my 8TB storage box as the network owner and my husband has full access to copy any photo to his laptop but can never delete the original copies by accident.
Apps - If possible i would like us to share these but they are cheap enough these days to separate if really needed. Would be good to share licence for pages etc though
cloud, contacts, facetime, email - this is what is making me consider separate IDs or learning how to have multiple users in one apple ID - I do not want to have to share synced contacts with my husband. I have near 300 contacts now through work etc and he will not want them plus i will not want his or him being able to delete mine by mistake. and then for email and facetime, well I want to give him his privacy so I do not receive his messages etc. especially now that we are considering switching to iPhones

You don't need to use the same ID on a device for iCloud and iTunes.
iCloud covers mail, contacts, calendars, reminders, notes, bookmarks, photostream, document syncing etc and for these I recommend you each have your own ID's, this will stop others from having access to and likely more importantly being able to edit or even delete your personal information.
Someone of Age needs to be responsible for an account, so for younger children you will need to create and be responsible for an account yourself but let the child use it.
For iTunes you could use a single account so everyone can share music and apps or you could use separate accounts (there are ways to share content between users, Apple provides homesharing to do this).
When choosing how to proceed with iTunes, it might be worth remembering that someday your children will reach 21 (or whatever age they feel they have become independent) and will likely want their own account, changing accounts later may make it difficult to access previous content.
Photostream now has shared albums, so you can share just what you want with others. Shared photos using shared albums cannot be deleted by others with different accounts, but if you all shared the same account they could be.
Facetime and messages can also use an ID independently of each other, iCloud and iTunes. Separate ID's are recommended for these, joint accounts can be problematic.
iTunes has parental controls for youngsters, however at 7, I suggest you don't reveal the password to him and enter it yourself when he needs to purchase something, otherwise you may receive unexpected bills. -
I want to use one of my icloud email addresses as a new apple ID. It was an additional email contact address I originally set up for my child. But now, I'd like to set her up on Family Sharing, using that email as her ID. Obviously, when I try to use it when setting up a new apple ID, it says the email is already being used (Yes, by ME) and I need to select a different one. Can I somehow delete that email address in order to set up a new apple ID using it? Or is there another way to "re-use" that address for my child's new ID?

This is exactly what I want to do but don't think I can:
I noticed the following :
If you attempt to create an Apple ID which is the same as your @icloud email address from the online facility, it does not allow you (can't use an Apple associated email address as your Apple ID). However - if you start a fresh device - such as a new iPhone, iPad (must be mobile it seems), and then create an iCloud account and Apple ID from the prompts when setting up the mobile device, it IS possible to have your Apple ID and @iCloud email address as the same. I know because I just did it!
Unfortunately for me, the result I got above is not for one of my own ID's but a friends, and I would VERY much like to do the same - my current Apple ID is a completely different email address from my iCloud account. Trying to get them the same in my situation is a major bother - I think that if I wipe a device (such as an iPhone5 that is mine) and try to setup as I did my friend's device, then I will get a conflict because the iCloud email I have ALREADY exists. This is my worry and I will not attempt this until I get the new iPad 4 soon to test this.
There is an inconsistency here between the two methods of creating Apple ID's and iCloud accounts.
Overall in my opinion, the Apple ID system as currently available from Apple is not designed very well, and should be addressed.

i am having trouble connecting to an external display with the lid closed and the settings is optimised for built in display.
it was working nicely until yesterday when i changed the resolution.
and now i cant take it to optimised for built in display, only if the lid is opened and i want it closed.

I did not know that when I created a e-mail address that I was suppose to use the same one that I created when I first signed up with Apple I phone. I want to change my e-mail address to the one I first had How can I change it? I do not need two e-mail accounts It should have read that when you are setting up an e-mail address use the one that you first signed up with. Not after you go through all the set ups for I cloud it tells you at the end to use your account that you first started with. You can not setup a new iCloud account using a PC. You must use an Apple device (Mac or iPhone/iPad) to create the account, then sign into it using your PC.

Design the New process set up for Materials in one physical stock plant
Hi Experts,
The requirement is one physical plant as two different logical plants in the system. The main issue is how to administrate or how to find the set up which allows one Physical warehouse in Hamburg which we have supplying two Logical warehouses in the system without having thru really physically separate the warehouses into two different ones. Materials physically will be only for one warehouse.
Requirement is for Design the New process set up for Materials in one physical stock serving plant into two different system plants.
Most of the things are pointing in the direction that order Backlogs will not be converted into new organization. We have backlogs for the material requirements for purchase orders, sales orders whatever we have in the current setup; then there will have all are new orders from the certain dates taking in the new organization set up. These backlogs are very long at least three to four years.
We would like to find some way to have the all the material requirements ending up in one basket instead of two baskets. That still be able to deliver at least in system point of view from two different baskets.
We need to do analysis on one physical stock serving plant into two different system plants that could be done either by material master data or as i understood that could be from PS side.
can any one please tell me how we can maintian this setup in the system.
Please provide your valuable inputs.

Sorry, the creation of such an end-to-end solution is outside the scope of an online forum. Most consulting companies would send a multi-disciplinary team to perform this task, and would take several weeks to research your requirements, and come up with a prototype.

I will say this. If your goal is to have two plants, with two company codes, and you wish to only procure or produce in one of the plants, then generally I would recommend using Special Procurement via Stock Transport Order (in standard SAP, Special Procurement 40). This based on a very small knowledge of your requirements. I have already cited the Sap online help for special procurement.
