Set up I guess in raid, need more storage now!
I am new to this, I bought WD Mycloud EX4 along with two WD Red 3 TB drives, set up to run (I am now thinking in Raid 1 / mirroring mode) and then my kids put two of their drives in. They are not recognized at all, and I am now out of storage which is only 3 TBs not the 6 TBs I want. Is there any way to switch to no raid, without reformatting and having to erase everything, I want to have eventually 9 TBs of storage, and one drive bay available to swap out drives. any hope of not erasing all

unfortunately, nothing elegant. you can use a web based solution such as dropbox or box, or you can use iTunes in the Cloud to help extend your device. Another option is the Wi-Drive.

I can not back up my iPhone. It says I need more storage space. I purchased more space and icloud says it is there, but the phone is not recognizing this and continues to say that I need to purchase more space in order to back it up. Any ideas?
Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

In order to install IOS7 on my 4S, I need more storage of 3.1GB and presently have only 1.3 GB. My biggest usage is the camera roll at 9.8GB. Photo stream is at 584 MB. My question is -should I delete the camera roll pics? They are saved on my computer.
At 1.3GB available, your storage space is getting very thin no matter what you do further. As long as you have the photo's in the camera roll saved on your computer you can delete them. Just make sure first that they are in your photo software. If updating in iTunes, just backup/sync first, then update, and that will save the camera roll in the backup as well.
At only 1.3GB you eventually are going to find yourself unable to install or update some app, or unable to take any new pictures, or some other limitation that will force you to free up space anyway. So now, before updating, sounds like a good time to make sure everything is backed up or stored somewhere else, and clean house a bit, then update. -
The error that my icloud account is full and need more storage stays on the screen of my Ipad2. It won't allow me to get more, turn it off or do anything on it. Help!!
Reset: Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears
Then do some house cleaning in iCloud (or purchase more storage)
Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage > Select a device if more that one > Show All Apps and turn off some apps that you don't need or care to be backed up.
Also, connect to iTunes and empty your Camera Roll onto your computer. Photos & videos tend to eat up a lot of space. -
My phone is telling me it's almost full. Also I have and update to the phone that says I don't have enough storage. I updated this month to a lot more. It's still telling me I need more storage. I don't understand.
Ok and thank you. I did delete a LOT of photos and moved all my music just into my icloud and got rid of apps - really cut it down. i tried deleting music from my library and it won't let me and I have this update thing and I'm not sure what to do.

Go to Settings-iCloud-Storage&Backup Check how much the total storage is and how much storage you have available.mIf you are using the entire storage it is normal that you get this message.

Icloud needs more storage to back up
my friend is trying to back up her memory on her phone and it says she needs more storage.
Then her choices are to either purchase more storage (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4874), or reduce the storage currently being used in her iCloud account (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4847). One thing she can check to reduce the size of her backup are photos and videos attached to her text messages. These are all backed up and deleting them may significantly reduce the size of the backup.

Make sure there is enough funds for storage. Contact your bank and verify they are not stopping transaction.

You can more easily add internal drives in a Mac Pro.
Not too terribly easy to add/replace drives in an iMac.

I got the message I needed more storage. I purchased it but I still keep getting the message whenever I try to download an application that I don't have enough memory . Am I missing something?
You cannot use iCloud Storage to suppliment your iPad. It doesn't work that way.

I was given a 16Gb ipad mini retina with cellular but I need more storage. We do not have the receipt as it is a gift. I like to swap for a 64Gb unit and pay for the difference, how do I go about doing that? I have not open the packaging yet.

Thanks for that. Yes, the ipad was purchased recently. I called Apple last Friday and they ask for the receipt. I wonder if anyone were able to swap their ipad for a larger storage in the past at the apple store without a receipt? 16Gb is such a small storage.
